I researched and call so many places to schedule a diagnosis to see what the issue is with our shower. Luis was our tech and super nice and told us what could it been the issues and provided us a written quote. I told him I have to check with my husband before schedule a actual service appointment. And we did, he showed up and forst thing he asked me was the copy of the quote he orginal provided back. (OK that was fishy). He said he had to call his office to double check the work and quote. After 15 mins or so wait, he told us and new quote his office had texted me is no good and he cannot honor. (Good thing I saved the text) I showed him and he took a screenshot and left So if anyone asking how was the work... we dont know since it was never done. I needed plumbing help with two things. I needed to replace my tankless water heater with a new navien unit and I had a leak from my third floor toilet which was seen on the second floor ceiling. Joseph T helped me with both the issues. He installed the new water heater with ease and did a great job with all the piping and exhaust. He did not cut corners and used good quality parts. He was able to identify the toilet leak issue and fixed the leak by putting flange spacers and a new wax ring. He seemed knowledgeable and confident in his work. Evan (w/ their sister company GoGo Rooter since it was the weekend and they were pretty busy) came out the next day and was beyond awesome. I had a very slow drain in my kitchen sink that my landlord's handyman "fixed" two months ago that became a problem again. He listened to my list of "symptoms", my thoughts of the issue, and my attempts at clearing it on my own. He then explained what he was going to do, and what his next step would be if that didn't completely fix the issue. He even made some suggestions on how to avoid future problems. I will recommend them to my landlord, but he's a cheapskate, so I'm probably stuck with his handyman (that even he isn't impressed with), but for anything that I'm responsible for I won't hesitate to call them. read more

At any rate, I have used All-star several times and will always use them. From the time Sergio answered the phone and followed up was great. Joshua, who my wife remembered he completed a repair for us a few years ago or so, completed the job today. We had an issue with the drain in our master bathroom shower getting clogged. The water when it did drain was coming up in our second bathroom's bathtub drain. I put a request for plumbing services on Yelp and Allstar Plumbing immediately responded. Their message said to call to make an appointment. I called Allstar and spoke with Sabrina who connected me with their manager Sergio. I gave details on our issue and we made an appointment for a plumber from his team to come to our house the next day. Early the next morning, Sergio called me to let me know that Jose was assigned to our plumbing request and would be arriving at 9:30AM. Jose arrived right on time at 9:30 and was very friendly and professional. I explained our plumbing issue to him after which he did an assessment in both bathrooms. He consulted with his manager on the work that needed to be done and provided us with a cost (which included a discount). We agreed to the cost and work and he proceeded right away, always staying in communication with me and my wife. It turned out that it was more complex to unclog the stoppage and some further work had to be done. He explained what he had found to us. After consulting again with his manager, Jose provided options to us on how to resolve our issue, with a higher estimate for the work (which we understood given what needed to be done). We agreed to the new cost and he continued with the work. Long story short, Jose did a great job, unclogging the stoppage and stopping the overflow to our second bathroom's bathtub drain. We really appreciate Jose's commitment to solving our plumbing problem. He was respectful of our floors covering his shoes when he worked in both bathrooms. We definitely will use Allstar Plumbing again and would refer and request Jose for all our plumbing needs! read more

All Star Plumbing is my go to when ever I need plumbing moving work done. In the past they have upgraded my pipes to copper and this time upgraded my sewer line. Luis did a great job. He was professional: friendly, on time, worked late to get the job to the done before the weekend, explained all that he was doing so I could understand. And all with a smile. We first contacted Allstar to fix a water mixing issue. They came and charged us to diagnose the problem and said that it was a cartridge in one of the showers that had failed that was causing the cold and the hot water to cross over. They then charged us more to fix the problem. So far, so good. They installed the new cartridge and told us that it was fixed. A few weeks later, we were still having the issue and so we had them come back. Another guy, Jose comes out and says our issue was that actually our recirculator was sending hot water into the cold and that they needed to install a stop valve so that the flow was unidirectional. I once again, double checked whether this was going to fix the problem and they assured me this was the problem. So they charged me another few thousand dollars to redo the piping. After that, they said that that didn't fix the problem and that it was the cartridge after all and they had misdiagnosed which one of the showers had failed in the first place. So they came back and said it was this other shower that was the problem. So they took out the old cartridge but couldn't install the new one due to some build up. Now, this failed install is causing the shower head to leak constantly. Except, the owner, Sergio now doesn't want to do more work unless we pay more money on a problem they misdiagnosed and a leak they caused in the first place. Now I have a leak that they are refusing to fix without more money and they still haven't fixed the initial mixing issue. Evidently Sergio has been complaining about how he has already lost a lot of money of this job as a reason for not doing the right thing here. FWIW, they seem like nice guys (at least when talking to them) but from a business and quality of work (not to mention value), I would steer clear from these guys. I'm really disappointed because generally you want to support local businesses. I think this is one of those cases where when pushed to the limit, they won't actually pony up to fix the problem. read more

First, what I loved about Allstar was them following up with me by calling, and after that sending someone over for a quote right away. I'm working 50hr/week and attempting to manage a household and forgetful because of that. I'll sometimes put things off for weeks if I have to call someone myself because I'm working during normal business hours. Them coming out this week was perfect since I'm off during the holiday. Second, I really appreciated Luis' attention to detail -- I had three different plumbers come out to take a look at my 50s era outdoor faucets and he was the only tech who actually looked at my pipes behind and under the wall before providing a recommendation, AND he noticed a leak in one of my sprinkler controllers that I hadn't even seen or asked about (the plants under it were quite happy though). Their price was very competitive and Luis was able to fix my original issues the same day.
