Dr. Lee and team slayed my pup's spay! As noted in my original review, my pup got spayed back in March of this year, and the whole process was as smooth as it possibly could have been (besides me being a nervous wreck the whole time because what dog mom isn't when their fur baby is undergoing surgery?!) The staff was super reassuring, answered every question to every last detail, Dr. Lee made sure to come and speak with me directly to also provide that added reassurance as well. They were very thorough with the discharge as well, I got a phone call from Dr. Lee the moment her spay was completed to let me know everything went well, and he informed me that I could pick her up in a few additional hours as to ensure they could monitor her post spay before discharge. When i went to pick her up, she was understandably zoned out but, you could also tell she was well looked after and she felt safe being with the staff (this is what really made the experience so comforting for me) I was provided discharge papers with instructions, and medication for her to take over the next couple of days. Her incisions were done so neatly, and the stitches were so impressively done! It took about a week for her to be back to her sassy self, and by the end of week 2, her stitches were barely visible!! Dr. Lee uses dissolving stitches so there was no need to go back to have them removed. This was also a huge plus for me as other vets I had shopped around at, did inform me that I would need to come in for stitches to be removed and for a follow up exam. Dr. Lee made it simple and simply asked that I provide detailed photos via email, and that if he felt there was need for a follow up he would determine it at that time. Needless to say, no follow up was needed! It's now been 4 months post spay and my pup doesn't even have a scar! CUSTOMER SERVICE: I had to share, I emailed Dr. Lee's office about an hour ago asking about some general vaccine questions. I didn't expect any answer today as it's past 5 PM on a Sunday, and their office is closed on Sundays anyhow. To my surprise, someone replied to me within minutes, and continued to reply back and forth within the email thread for nearly 20 minutes to answer all my questions!! I know lots of places out there advertise "24 hour support" etc. yet fall short. Lee animal hospital doesn't advertise that but, their customer service simply speaks for itself. This wasn't an email around a paid service or appointment, it was a genuine generic question that I could have easily searched online for an answer but, opted to ask the team for peace of mind. Really shows what a great staff they have and how they truly care about their clients! If you're looking for a new vet, a secondary vet, or just a better vet, i highly recommend Lee animal hospital. Even if you're not local to Orange, if you're in the surrounding cities, it's well worth the short commute and it's conveniently located right off the freeway which is a bonus! read more

Less than a year after Piafs surgery,she became symptomatic again. When I contacted the hospital, I was quoted for a nares procedure but was not told that the hospital considered revisions to be free. I ultimately had surgery performed elsewhere, where the surgeon had to completely revise the palate and remove a tooth to access the airway. I later learned from the original veterinarian that revisions were supposedly provided at no charge. The veterinarian's insurer has now denied my claim. I understand that things go wrong in life, but what matters most to me is what do you do when things go wrong? I never received anything stating that they do revisions for free. No one told me that when I called in regarding her being symptomatic again, so I had to pay for two surgeries. Be careful when you go for Care ! read more

I brought my newly adopted 8-month-old puppy in for an exam in early Dec 2025. She was very fearful of EVERYTHING. Her tail was constantly between her legs when we went out. Dr. Lee recognized that and said, "She's terrified." He was very gentle with her. He recommended a stool sample. It turns out that she had giardia, so I picked up medication and we did another test after that. I was afraid that she would not be cured because she had (and still has) a nasty habit of eating her stool. It had also rained heavily, so it would have been easy for her to reinfect herself because she drank from rain puddles. Even so, she was cured! That was in January (sorry for the late post). We're just about ready to go in for her rabies vaccination and then her other vaccines, so we'll go to Dr. Lee again. I was very loyal to my previous vet, but she retired. My petsitter recommended Dr. Lee after searching long and hard for someone with a good pet-side manner and expertise, so she did all of the work for me. read more

I was looking for a new vet and came across this place on Yelp with great reviews, so I was excited to give them a try. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned into disappointment. When I called to make an appointment, I was told the first available appointment wasn't until February 9, or I could try to walk in with no guarantee of being seen. As a new customer, that was really frustrating. What's the point of having such high ratings and great reviews if new clients can't get timely service? I was genuinely happy to find this place at first, but I wasn't even able to book an appointment. They clearly have demand, but the scheduling process needs improvement--especially for new patients who are trying to establish care. I love their service and the best part, I love their pricing. You hate to shop around for your dog, but most veterinarians prey on your emotions and your love for your dog and charge whatever they want. It's never clear cut. You know you're in trouble when they send in the money person to talk about the cost and ask you, "So do you know to proceed?" How can you say no? Her dog had the same surgery 2 weeks ago for almost a third of the cost of what was given to me at another place. I already paid $1350 for some labs and X-Ray. I think it would be about half as much here. It's really hard to make an appointment here. The best is just to walk in if it's the first time. They are very busy here but they're attentive. I always felt safe and assured that my dog would have the best care. He had stones removed from his bladder for about $1900 for the entire procedure including meds, X-ray, labs, anesthesia, surgery, and post op care. My little puff ball recovered nicely right after surgery without any complications. I got several phone calls from the veterinarian to give me updates and answer any questions. My dog Pepper was 15 years old and had already survived something unimaginable -- he was attacked by a coyote in my gated backyard. I took him to a different hospital at first, and the experience there was very poor and depressing. His liver had started failing, and the chances weren't good. My daughter and I went to pick him up each day during his three days of treatment, hoping he might have another miracle in him. From the beginning, Dr. Lee was clear and honest about Pepper's condition. I appreciated that more than anything. He didn't try to give me false hope or push unnecessary treatments. I never once felt like he was taking advantage of the situation -- he was simply being truthful, patient, and compassionate during an incredibly painful time. I took my Cavapoo here when she was 7 months old to get spayed. She went into heat just a few days before her appointment, which had me worried, but Dr. Lee assured me it was still safe to proceed with the surgery. Everything went smoothly, the procedure was successful, and she ate, drank water, and even went potty that same night. By the next day, she had a bowel movement and was already trying to jump on the couch and run around (we did our best to keep her calm!). She also took her medication every night without any issues. Was excited to switch vets and bring my senior dog here for her senior wellness appointment but my experience was far from pleasant. When we arrived for our scheduled appointment the front office seemed extremely overwhelmed. Not only did they not greet us, but they were rude. Like if us arriving was a bother. Took my house hippo Bruiser to see Dr. Lee since he has a growth growing on him and wanted to get a second opinion on surgery options as Dr. Lee specializes in mass removals and I was absolutely taken away by how sweet he was with my dog. From making the appointment with Valerie to getting Bruiser seen and taken back for some bloodwork he did great. Dr. Lee was patient with all of my concerns and genuinely cared about Bruisers well being. Place gets SUPER busy so make an appointment if you get the chance, but I can understand why! I went in for a suture check on an incision that came from a recent spay on my cat. The incision looked very irritated and when it was time for Dr. Lee to take a look under, he handled my cat with much care. He was very helpful with suggested remedies for my situation. Prices are fair ($29 first exam for new clients!) I would not hesitate needing to leave my cat knowing she would be in good hands there!
