Hot green tea in a nice little pot

The food is impressively delicious. Hot tea, steamed pork buns, steamed dumplings, spring roll, egg roll - all so good! Mu -Shu Chicken was fantastic. Very big menu. Service was great, We dined in - ambiance needs a little help - better lighting maybe and hide the mop/storage stuff. Recommend this wonderful restaurant!

I used to live in Brandon and this was my go-to Chinese takeout spot. I always ordered for delivery. Never ate inside. We had a wonderful experience eating here. The food was just as delicious, but the way it was served and presented made it even more enjoyable. The vibe inside is relaxed. Decor seems like it hasn't been touched in a few years, but the staff is all friendly and courteous, and the food is brought out in courses, to enjoy one thing at a time. The food. This is by far one of the best Chinese food joints in Tampa Bay. When you don't even need to reach for the soy sauce because the protein, rices, and noodles have more than enough flavor on their own, you know the food's excellent. We had the Kung Pao Chicken, Crabmeat Rangoon, Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, pork lo mein, and egg rolls. All of it was phenomenal! The one thing I didn't dig too much was the doughy-ness of the pork buns, but that's just how they are. The filling was delicious, though. The portions are GENEROUS! I didn't expect that much food from a dine-in experience. We have enough food to feed like three people with our leftovers. Can't wait to be back!

I've been in the Brandon area for 10 years and Lee House is only sit down Chinese restaurant in town. My partner loves it and always suggests it. Prior to the pandemic, I would only go because he liked it. The food was good, but the bitter old lady who owned it made me rather order out and eat at my dining room table. At least I was being yelled at for breathing. Fast forward to 2024... My partner wanted a sit down Chinese meal. I agreed to Lee House. I am glad we did. Four years is a lifetime in the restaurant world. We walked in and the feel was different. There were upgrades from the shabby cut up booths and fresh paint. We were immediately seated by a young lady and asked for our drink order. We received nice new menus with a plethora of items to order. Hot tea and water as we viewed the menu. I wasn't super hungry, more of an app and soup kind of a night. The sweet young lady came by to take our order a few minutes later. For me, a large bowl of wonton soup and beef skewers. My partner in crime, cashew chicken. The normal wait for any food, we talked about this and that. Dinner finally arrived. I loved how everything came out together so we can eat together. The large soup... you'll be taking home lunch tomorrow. I did not expect such a large bowl of beef broth yumminess. The wontons melted in my mouth and the broth, PERFECT! the green onions still crunchy and melded perfect with the broth. Yes, I had wonton soup for lunch today! The beef skewers in a syrupy mango sauce was to die for!! I sampled the cashew chicken with egg fried rice. I kept going back. So flavorful and more than 2 meals. Settling out, I chatted with our server how the food really hit a home run. To me, it was always a double. New owners, new look. I will definitely tell my partner when he wants Lee House, let's go!

With that being said, the hour-and-ten minute drive from Lutz was well worth the effort to eat the Dim Sum King (plus we made a day out of it). For starters, Dim Sum King excelled in all the categories of variety, quality, and freshness. Dim Sum King's dim sum is ordered from the menu - you mark the number of the respective dim sum plate that you wish to order on a dry-erase menu placard and receive the food as they are made. While different than the push-cart ordering which gives you more of an eyes-on confirmation of the actual dishes and a nostalgic-traditional dim-sum brunch vibe, the menu ordering offers a different approach. Ordering from the menu potentially means that each plate is cooked right and not sitting in the steaming cart which may result in overcooked food or sogginess. So the food does come out fresh here! When it comes to variety, Dim Sum King has most of the usual suspects - har gow, shui mai, chicken feet, short ribs, tripe, lo bak go (turnip cake), shrimp/beef/veggie cheung fun (rice noodle rolls), and sticky rice. Additionally, they carry other fanciful dim sum dishes such as zhaliang (fried Chinese donut rice noodle roll), crispy shrimp toast and stuffed eggplant. Simple and great dim sum menu! The quality is arguably the best I've had in a while. Each dish was made and cooked to perfection. Specific call outs to the crispy shrimp toast and beef cheung fun - these were amazing in both flavor and textures. Our friends told us that the place usually has a line. Perhaps it was right after the holidays, but they were seated promptly around 12pm when they arrived. The restaurant has two large round banquet tables that seat approximately 10, with smaller set-ups of booths and table between. Definitely one of the best dim sum spots in this region of Florida!

If we're going Tampa metro then that is a different review altogether. Yummy House is definitely yummy and worth the wait if you messed up and decided to stroll in here at 12pm on a sunday. That's probably the worst time to come in. Literally go any other time and you won't have to wait 30+ minutes for a table. Once you do get in, go extra hard on the dinner sun. The steamers are steaming and the dessert cart has plenty of goodies. Anything on the sizzling and clay pot menu is recommended as is their pan fried noodles and salt & pepper anything. Service is quick, the ambiance is a mix of industrial and Asian banquet. The parking is probably decent on most days, but on Sunday at 12pm; Yeah not so much...

I visited before a Rays game and was immediately impressed by both the service and the food. The staff was attentive without hovering, the pacing was excellent, and the entire experience felt polished and intentional. I ordered the Bibimbap with bulgogi steak, tofu, fried egg, kimchi, vegetables, gochujang, and crispy rice, along with two spring rolls. What stood out most was the balance. The dish delivered heat, sweetness, savory depth, texture, and freshness without relying on heavy sauces or excessive portions. Every ingredient maintained its own identity while contributing to the overall flavor of the dish. Too many restaurants create flavor by drowning food in sauce. Hawkers does it through seasoning, spices, and technique. There was no puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, no overly sweet glaze, and no greasy heaviness. The rice absorbed flavor without becoming soggy, and the kimchi, vegetables, egg, tofu, and bulgogi worked together beautifully. The spring rolls were equally impressive. Light, crisp, delicate, and perfectly executed, with a thin wrapper and just the right amount of crunch. What impressed me most was that I left satisfied, not stuffed. The portions were thoughtful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were layered rather than overwhelming. Since moving to Florida, this ranks as one of the best restaurant meals I have had.
