Every single item in my order was either soggy, flavorless, overly greasy, or just plain gross. Nothing tasted fresh, the textures were all wrong, and honestly, I've had better from a frozen dinner. Decent Chinese food. They are fast and their food is flavorful. Sweet and Sour Chicken- comes with white rice. The chicken was white meat and was lightly breaded and fried to perfection. The sauce wasn't overly sweet. Chicken Lo Mein- Tasty and the small was enough to share with my husband. Chicken with Broccoli- Very oily. I used a napkin to get some of the oil off. Good Food, quick delivery, and decent price. I placed a recent order the order was right; however the order was placed for Wednesday, but was delivered on Sunday (past the time specified on the order). Of course, I was not available to answer the door as the order was not due for days... As soon as I realized the order was delivered. I checked the order in case I made a mistake - I didn't. I called the driver/delivery person to inform him. Of course, the order was paid for and not delivered as ordered on Wednesday. Looks like I will have to get may Chinese food elsewhere, that is a shame. read more

This has been our local Chinese food delivery spot since moving to the area from Melbourne back in 2006. Yes, they've been here for a very long time. Delivery is fast, friendly, and inexpensive. The food would always arrive hot and fresh. We could always count on Ling Express. I think the only issue I've ever had was with the crispiness of fried chicken and shrimp in the preparations. It was never crispy, and I think it's because of the unvented plastic containers. Other than that, everything was great. With that said, I have to say I was a little disappointed with this last delivery. The fried rice wasn't cooked well. It was actually a little raw. The General Tso's Chicken had a good taste but there was no spice. I could see the red pepper flakes but it didn't taste spicy even though I had ordered a medium level. The portion was a very good size, so that has never been an issue. The pan fried noodles with jumbo shrimp tasted great. I really liked the sauce and there were plenty of shrimp. I'm not into the crispy noodles but I'm glad I tried it. The pot stickers and fried wontons were all good, but I've had better. What happened? I'm so sad. The food looks amazing in the pictures, but I have to say it's no longer the best in the area. I can't say that I ordered the wrong thing because I've had the same dish in the past. Hubby had the jalapeno beef. On the menu, it had the little pepper sign next to it signifying it was spicy. It wasn't spicy. He said it tasted okay, but not great. I have got to stop getting drunk and ordering this stuff off DoorDash! It's absolutely too greasy for any human being to consume but it's cheap. So here I am devouring a greasy pupu platter and lo mein from ling express at 1am for the 2nd time this week due to losing power during the storm. Do not be like me and order food from ling express late night. Im sure there are way better options for Chinese takeout in the area but you can't beat $17 for enough food to feed 3-4 people with 30 mins tops for delivery time! read more

So sad because we really enjoyed the food from this place, but won't be getting food from here again. We've ordered fried rice many times before and it was the typical fried rice you'd expect with veggies, meat, etc. - it was delicious. This time around we got literally just rice (see pictures below). When we called to tell them our issue we were told: Manager: "No, you did not order chicken fried rice, just fried rice" (even though I heard when my husband ordered the man asked "what kind of fried rice would you like?" And my husband said chicken) Us: "So there's NOTHING in your rice? No veggies or anything?" Manager: "No, just rice and that's how we've always prepared it." The ease of ordering online through the Menufy Website was great. Submitted an order for 4 coworkers and we were all looking forward to Chinese food. However, the food did not meet minimum expectations i.e. tasty, arrive presentable in sustainable packaging. Veggie Noodles arrived upside down in the pint and was leaking over everything else. The beef and broccoli order was also leaking and was overly salty and not spicy as requested. Very messy and did not satisfy us in the way we expected. Egg rolls seemed smaller in size. My "Nuyorican" coworker stated that this Chinese food could not even come close to what she's used to in New York. She ate 1 of her 8 chicken wings order and said she would give the rest to her relative after work. Needless to say, it's a one and done for us. read more

Used to be good... This was our go to place ten years ago, or so... Like so many places in the area that start out good, then plummet in service and quality. Egg drop soup is usually the staple that tells me the food is good or not. If they can't get it right, the rest usually follows. They cannot consistently get it right. Fried chicken wings? They are great if you can get them fresh...usually it's a refried or reheated nightmare. Shrimp with lobster sauce. No flavor, and the sauce is usually a watery mess. Pros: people are awesome, this is my go to place since moving into this area..I have tried a handful of other places but this is the best from my perspective for takeout in the area.. they haven't ever gotten my dishes wrong and always ultra friendly.. I love their jalapeño chicken, my favorite dish.. I get it at least once or twice a week. Some of my other favorites are: bourbon chicken, chicken with green beans in garlic sauce (is how I order it)- it comes with brown sauce but I like it better with garlic, egg rolls, moo shu, my go to is definitely jalapeño chicken.. I have had some of their vegetarian dishes also, sesame tofu is pretty good but too sweet for me but that is expected for sesame sauce.. mixed vegetables is also very good! Ordered dinner for my family of 4 tonight online through Ling Express's website vendor, Menufy. My son picked up the order, then picked up another item from another restaurant for just himself. When he got home, I went to get dinner set up for the rest of the family. I found that I was missing the 2 egg rolls, sauce for my sweet and sour pork, and lo mein. I paid $43.81. I called the store and advised that I wanted a refund, he laughed, and then said he would remake our food. I told him I live 25 mins from his store and I was not driving around trip of almost an hour. I would rather order a crappy pizza for us instead. He said since I ordered it online, I had to call Menufy. So I did, spoke to Tory. I explained all of this to him. He said he would have to call the store for them to authorize a refund. He said he would call me back if they did or did not authorize it. He called back a couple mins later. Said he spoke to Lee and he said he would only authorize a $13 refund. I told him that's unacceptable. He said I could call my bank to dispute the transaction. I said no. I said I was calling Lee on a 3 way call. I advised Lee this was unacceptable and I want a full refund. He laughed again. He said if I give you a full refund I am going to come to your house to pick the food up. I said fine. Once I get confirmation that it's refunded he can drive his happy ass an hour round trip to get his shitty cold food. This is the first and LAST time I will go to this place. What a joke. Literally how unfreaking professional and rude. Captain of the douche canoe. You're better off driving to China Star in Fishhawk/Lithia to get amazing food and great service for less money too! No index finger indicating he'd be right with me, no nothing. I stood there, literally staring at him and again...nothing. I then started to eavesdrop, thinking he was taking an in depth phone order. He wasn't. It was a personal call. Yeah f*** that guy and f*** that place. This place was recommended to us, so we were excited, but we were just as eager to not give him our money, when he didn't even have the decency to acknowledge us. It was empty and if he's the face of this place, it'll forever stay empty. I have been ordering from here for six years with no problem, however, the other day, when my order arrived, and I opened it, cockroaches came crawling out of the paper bag! There was also a baby roach on my to go container! The owner DID the right thing and gave me my money back but here's the thing, if roaches are comfortable enough to go inside a to go bag, they must be crawling all over that restaurant. The order was a total mess up. The food was gross, pork ribs were not even edible and the pork fried rice was not fresh. The wonton soup also tasted like it was a few days old. Their crab rangoons were chewy not crispy and the only food that seemed good was the sweet and sour chicken and I asked for white rice and got more fried rice , which again was awful tasting . Best Shrimp fried rice I've found since I moved here. Delicious! This place is nothing fancy but the food is good and huge overwhelming portions! Spring rolls were very good as well, nice and fresh unlike some of those places where they've been sitting under a warmer all day.
