Really hungover on this fine Sunday late morning/early afternoon and looking for something besides my typical greasy Mexican breakfast (my go-to). Hopped on Yelp and typed in "ramen". Now, Lee House does not have Ramen but they have some amazing Pho. We ordered online (through Yelp) and for $27 we were well on our way to receiving Pho Tai, Kung Pao Chicken, and Pho Dec Biet (I'm butchering this). They do not deliver to my area, even though it's Brandon, but we saved on the $3 delivery fee and got some fresh air! Walked in about half an hour after ordering and the woman was very confused and said they did not have any outstanding takeout orders. After a few minutes, we were able to clear this up that we had ordered online. About 10 minutes later, we were on our way with a ton of hot spicy food! I like that you can order the Kung Pao to your spiciness specifications - we went with Medium just to try it out. The to go Pho was packaged in three separate containers. One for the broth, one for the meat/noodles/onions, and one for the bean shoots and other fixings. The Kung Pao was a rather large portion that also came with white rice. For $27 we have several meal's worth of food, which is great. With so many great options in our area, we really need to get out and explore more and I'm very glad that Lee House made the cut! They have Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese options so there is something for everyone. Looking forward to trying some dim sum next time! read more

Please order take-out. Food is terrific. Portions were plentiful. Street side curtains were being held closed by 7 document binder clips. Take-out boxes, menus, and bags stacked on 4 chairs in seating area. Server was cold and short. Appetizers arrived promptly, but main course delivery was extremely slow. Food was piping hot and delicious (3 in our party on Friday night at 8). I recommend Lee, but come for the food and not the service. read more

My daughter and I were craving good Lo Mein so stopped by Lee House. To our dismay, the noodles and beef were as soft as mush... we returned the food and got Shrimp Fried Rice instead- which was subpar. No apology, no accommodation- we simply had to wait all over again for a replacement. Additionally- sitting there waiting long enough allowed us to see that there was consistent tension and disorganization between customers, servers, cooks and cashier. Have gone to Lee House many times over the last year. The food quality is always great, but the customer service is very poor. They have a very poor perception on time they tell you the food will be up in a minute, and 40 minutes later you are still waiting in the drive thru. I said something the guy at the window said it was coming right up and gives me 4 fortune cookies for the wait. 13 minutes later I simply asked for a refund. Great place if you like roaches at your table and on check out counter. I work at Brandon Hospital and was t old about by co workers. They said food was ok so I gave it a try. Halfway through meal noticed three roaches walking across back of booth facing us and on walls. Hurried and went to counter to check k out and noticed roaches on wall be hind counter. Never again . Eat at y our own risk. You've been warned . Would give a negative star if possible. Told other coworkers in ER and hospital.They took it off the it list of recommendations. read more

Abandon hope all ye who enter here..... First off... why the hell is there a baby in a playpen beside the waiting area? I suggest investing in daycare or perhaps a sitter. I really don't want to sit and watch your neglected infant for you. Secondly... maybe wipe down the restroom door on occasion. It sticking to my hand as I open the door was the first conundrum I faced using the facilities. The sink, urinal and the rest of the restroom appear to get wiped down maybe once a week at best. It would also be a nice touch to perhaps put some paper towels in there so I don't have to MacGuyver another way to open the bathroom door so I don't have to touch that nasty thing again. Third,,, clean your vents. Stuff shouldn't be hanging from them. After seeing all this I can only Imagine your kitchen. Deuces!!!!.. Enter to a disorganized rat's nest of wires, faded handwritten signs, and unmatched tables, and you notice a large baby crib with the trappings of child care strewn about. Lovely setting - not. This had been my favorite Chinese restaurant in Brandon, a refreshing change from buffet style eating Until Now.. :-( The hand-crafted food is gone! dim sun is still good but the rest has become very substandard, over cooked, dried out chicken 'tough as nails' smothered in a pre-made nondescript sauce. We searched Yelp and found this restaurant for Sunday lunch. We ordered dimsums and some other authentic dishes. Food was good and tasty. The ambiance was fair and so was the cleanliness. There were 2 waitresses and wasn't that busy. The older waitress took care of us and let us be. But I don't know what's with the other waitress. She gave us attitudes and took away dishes that we weren't finish with without asking or asked if we needed anything else. I hope managers would take notice and improve their service level because this is bad for business. read more

Our family has been frequenting Lee House both via take out and sit down for the past month and the food and service has been generally good. Though we've never seen the cart, the Dim Sum is fantastic and we have always just ordered off the list. We've yet to have a bad dish off of the Dim Sum menu, but not all of the dishes are available on any given day (though I suspect all of the regular/popular items are always available). The Pork Siu Mai is hands down the best I've ever had. The House Fried Pan Noodles are exactly what I get at a Cantonese restaurant in California that I LOVE and I am so happy I've found a place near by that makes them (and the portion is very big). However, I can't say the same about the regular/Chinese menu. Almost everything we've had has been very oily. I realize that the far majority of dishes are fried or deep fried, but I've never had Chinese or Chinese-American dishes that I could pour almost a quarter cup of oil out of the container. We ordered Pork Fried Rice and it was probably the worst fried rice dish I've ever had - it was heavily saturated in oil and soy sauce and was burnt. I'm not sure how someone thought it was edible. The "Egg Foo Young" is the deep fried version served with brown gravy. It was so-so, but again, it was extremely oily and beyond overcooked to the point of being having that burnt flavor without being totally black. The General Tso's chicken is in no way spicy and again, is overcooked and dry. The Moo Shu Pork was so oily that I had to drain it (I wish I could say that the liquid was excess sauce, but it solidified in the container I poured it in) and it, too, overcooked on the verge of being burnt. Also, it didn't come with hoisin sauce, but I dont think the sauce would've covered up the oily burnt flavor. I thought maybe they put the hoisin sauce in with the dish and cooked it together, and if they did, the sauce flavor must have been washed out with the oil. The Spicy Shrimp, however, has great spice and makes great left overs with a bowl of white rice. Recently, we used one of their online coupons to get free Egg Rolls, but they were definitely not the same egg rolls from the Dim Sum menu. The ones we received with the coupon had a fried tortilla-like shell, as opposed to the ones on the Dim Sum menu, which are more like a spring roll. Again, like the regular menu items, it was overcooked and, honestly, tasted like the egg rolls I made in college when my roommate and I got the idea to make Chinese food ourselves. You know, they're not that great, but they're edible. They were free, so I can't complain that much, but just a heads up to those who use the coupon. While I know I am not giving their regular/Chinese menu a great review, the Dim Sum really is awesome and Lee House is our go-to place for take out. While I highly suggest to sticking with the Dim Sum menu, I do hope to try the duck and steamed fish in the future. read more

At 6:36 PM called my "pick up" order in. Walked in later paid and expecting to pick it up and it was not ready. There were 4-5 others waiting on their "pick up" order. This is when I was told my order had only been put in 25 minutes again and most orders are taking longer then that. It is now 7:33 PM AND I AM STILL SITTING HERE WAITING!!!! If I had not already paid I would leave and go somewhere else. I don't care how good the food is, this was a ridiculous wait for pick up. read more

I ordered pick up this evening 10/3/15 at approximately 7:00pm according to when my phone registered the call out. Placed a fairly simple order (Krab Rangoon and a combo off of their dinner menu). I was given a wait time of approximately 30 minutes. I decided to wait 15, run to publix (where shopping is truly a pleasure) and pick up some cat food, and got to the pick up window on the outside at 7:35. They asked me for my phone number, then couldn't find the order. Another gentleman came 5 minutes later and again asked me for my number, provided it to him, and he saw my order on the run, but no food. At this point you would think they would indicate to me that the order hasn't even been started yet. Unfortunately they didn't think to do that. 10 minutes later (with me still sitting in the drive thru/pick-up window), they ask if I can pay and they will bring it to me in the parking lot. So I pay and pull into a parking spot. 20 minutes later they bring my food out. No apologies, no consolation, no hey here's a coupon for 20% off or anything next time... The food is great, the service is horrible, and to echo another reviewer the attitude that they are doing us a favor by making us wait for this long and the general lackadaisical attitude sucks. I will be branching out looking for other asian options in my area, and avoiding this place moving forward. read more

A friend and I took a chance and decided to try Lee House, I had been craving Dim Sum for a while, I'm glad we did. This was the best Chinese food I have had in years, great Dim Sum, although the Dim Sum menu was somewhat limited, excellent pork fried rice and great service, try it, you wont regret it. read more

I've been going here quite a few times and every now and then they get my order wrong and I usually don't have time to go back because of my short lunch break to fix it but I don't usually get upset about it cuz the food is good regardless. HOWEVER their customer service is just plain horrible. When I ordered today it was pretty much the last straw I had with them because we argued what I ordered and she kept telling "this is what you ordered! This what you ordered!!" And I'm just like "I don't even know what THIS is!!" I thought they accidentally gave me someone else's order and I just wanted to give them a heads up on it but instead of apologizing she just argued with me telling me that what I ordered when I don't even know what the dish is called. So pretty much what I'm telling you, don't be surprised if you get something else different of what you ordered cuz it happens on a regular basis. I think I'll go somewhere else from now on because I just rather not argue it anymore because they will never fess up to their own mistakes. read more

That last two times I've ordered take out here the wait was ridiculous. Told thirty minutes on the phone and I came later than that and still had to wait. This time I've been waiting almost an hour and then they tell me "15 more minutes". I will never come back again. I called for a delivery order they told me it would be ready and here in an hour. An hour and 40 minutes passed and I called and asked what the problem was and he said that the meal had not even been made it and that he didn't know when his driver would be back. Did not offer to take anything off or make the situation right and only offered me a free drink!!!! Now I'm having to drive to go get my food. Worst ever!!!! Decent food, HORRIBLE service. When you dine in, the waitress make you feel like you're hated, since she makes an effort to ignore you and speak with a demeaning tone. Oh, and I do not suggest delivery, since I waited an HOUR AND A HALF, and when I called, they talk nonsense and create some bs about how the driver is lost, and when I canceled the order, the lady says, "ok, we'll tell the driver not to go", implying that the driver has STILL not left the restaurant with my food. My girlfriend and I ordered takeout last night from this restaurant getting the beef and broccoli. The food arrived a hour and fifteen minutes later. When my girlfriend took a bite of her food she felt something sharp, when removing the food she found a piece of glass in her food. I immediately called the restaurant speaking to the manager who tried to blame the glass on us we finally received our refund and told the others who were waiting for food to do the same. I just had the worst delivery experience ever. The delivery man came with the food fast, but when I gave him a $20 to pay for the $15 food bill, he drove off without giving me change!! I thought he was going to his car to get change!! So I called the restaurant to let them know and he was back within 10 min. But when he got here his excuse was "You didn't exactly ask for your change back". What? Does anybody have to ask for their change back?? People automatically give you the change back and THEN give a tip. That's how it goes in any restaurant. It used to be my favorite but after this day I will NEVER go to this restaurant again. Arrived at about 6:45 p.m. on a Sunday. A party of five of Asian ethnicity walked in behind me. The waitress (the only server in the restaurant) smiled, waved at them, and ushered them ahead of me. Because she was the only server, she almost had to run to serve the customers. A couple times, a man who looked like a manger type walked around. The kitchen was very, very slow. Three customers got up from their booth and walked out because of the slow service! There were about 25 customers when I finished my meal. The food is good, and the portions are ample. Food is ok but the service is horribly slow. My 3rd order at this restaurant I ordered online for pickup. I went at my designated time to pick up my order. I waited 10 minutes at the front desk before anybody event acknowledged my presence. I was then told my order would be ready in 5 minutes. 25 minutes later I was finally presented with my order. No "I'm sorry this took so long" No "can we make this up to you?" nothing. WON'T BE GOING BACK.
