Me and my friend went on Saturday, March 21, and the service was absolutely horrible! When we got there the doors were locked, but a costumer let us in and said their doors were "malfunctioning". We got in and ordered and as we stay to eat, we let other customers in. Each time we did the lady at front, who I have now found out is a manager, looked beyond annoyed. We then heard her loudly tell someone she locked the doors on purpose because of a "crazy customer". At 7:30 she rudely, like almost snapping at me, tells me their lobby was now closed and not to let anyone else in. Right after she said that, I heard a worker in the back shout out, pretty angrily, "A customers been letting someone in? I was wondering why we had so many customers!" Those "so many customers" were literally 7 customers including me and my friend... About an hour later my dad sends me a screenshot of someone he knows Facebook post(which I've shared here). As someone who works at 3 different restaurants, and prides myself on having good costumer service, this is just unacceptable, and needs to be addressed. It sounds like these workers and the manager want to get paid to clock in and do no work. And it's an incredibly bad look for Lee's! read more

Lees pot pie hit the spot I was trying to hit. Flavor was there, crust was buttery, could've used more chicken but that could just be my protein preference. The brownie dessert was amazing BUT they served my biscuit on top on it lol. It wasn't a big deal to me but I could see this being a Karen review for someone else. I wouldn't have put the biscuit on top of the brownie myself. And all for under $10! Can't beat it for a quick lunch stop. read more

Latest and last update: Well I've received a replacement chicken pot pie. It was delicious. It had plenty of filling including chicken. Hopefully this chaos is completely over. I am concerned about future mistakes but I'm ready to forget this whole unpleasant interaction. I will make sure every thing is in orders. Now I will say... their attitude of "their NOT responsible" is huge disappointment. No way to handle customers. I'm ordering a catered event in Oct. Wish me luck!! read more

Very disappointed with tonight's DoorDash delivery order. Two people ordered chicken dinners and both received the wrong pieces of chicken, and one didn't receive a biscuit. The other was a large chicken liver dinner and I was sent gizzards, and the one I tasted was chewy and undercooked. The order delivered correctly packaged and stapled shut, so the Dasher did their job. As much as I love Lees, and growing up with going to Lees every Wednesday with my grandma to split a pint of livers, I have to say I'm done. read more

First, it's a Friday evening and this place is open till 10pm not 8pm like yelp says. When in doubt, call ahead! We hit the drive through after a long day of sightseeing. The drive through was fast, the menu was easy to understand. The chicken was better than KFC by a long shot, it was juicy, tender, and the breading was crunchy and not too thick. The biscuits were super good, but the potato wedges were rather soggy (5/10, good flavor bad texture), and the macaroni and cheese was very basic. Overall I'd recommend this place if you want some inexpensive, fast, and tasty chicken on the fly! read more

It is a BEAUTIFUL Sunday Mother's Day and for the 1st time I was taking my 5yr old & 13 yr old grandsons to visit my Mother's grave in Harrodsburg, Ky (while giving their VERY pregnant mother (my daughter) a little down time. Lees was smelling so good, we decided to circle back instead of stopping at Bisquit Belly as we were all hungry. Let's just say the day is ruined and we will not be visiting my mother's grave. I placed an order for a chicken tender meal w/macaroni & a Starry for the 5yr old and two #1 combo's for my 13yr old grandson & I. Mine was supposed to be Spicy w/baked beans & potato salad (added an xtra side to each for $1 more per meal). His was to be Famous w/macaroni & mashed potatoes & gravy w/a Mtn Dew & additional Starry for our drinks. The lady taking the order asked me the ENTIRE TIME what was I ordering WHILE I was "trying" to order. I could even hear her taking several other orders and asked a cpl of times if she was talking to me, until we realized she wasn't. I proceeded to the drive thru and asked the little one, who was chattering like the 5yr old that he is to allow me to speak without being interrupted and then told the lady that I wished she could have been more attentive while attempting to order. She gave me a dirty look and paused as I was handing her my card to pay. I asked her if she was ready bc she continued to look at me with my card extended out the car window and she responded with, "are YOU ready?" I politely asked for napkins bc potato salad was in the exterior of the bag and got on my hand. She obliged with no further response or issue. I quickly checked the order on top and saw the baked beans & potato salad and proceeded to leave. I normally would request hot sauce and honey and wanted to ask for dipping sauce for the babies tenders but knew it wouldn't be a good idea due to the energy that was already given. Also taking into consideration it was Mother's Day & a Sunday so I didn't want to make it anymore complicated. As we proceed to the Speedway for allergy medicine the oldest opened his food and began eating after getting the little one settled in the back to eat is when I noticed he had one side, although I paid for an additional and he didn't have a 2pc famous but chicken tenders as well. I came back out and realized I didn't have spicy/crispy 2pc but had 2 chicken tenders also. I went back to Lee's to let them know that our $30 + order wasn't correct & was told there was No refunds or Credits bc that was the owners policy. I explained again why my order likely wasn't correct (bc she wasn't allowing me to without the barrage of questions) and was completely disrespected and ignored. I asked for the manager when I heard her being even more rude in the background. She came to the window and said, "WHAT" while proceeding to tell me that I ate the food and that was it. I explained why he began eating and that I understood they don't do refunds but what I paid for isn't what I got and it was less price wise. It was a s*** show. I even gave her the full rundown of beginning to end down to the special road trip we were planning to take. More than anyone deserved. She offered to give me the chicken and the side missing but I told her that I understood they don't refunds as it is posted and bc she won't do a credit (bc this has already gone too far with my grand babies present) bc of the hostility I had received that it was okay bc I didn't feel comfortable atp accepting any food from them. I was prepared to just leave it be. She, THE MANAGER, said, I'm NOT gonna do nothing to your kids DAMN food! THEIR KIDS! Which pretty much confirms my reluctance in accepting anything from that moment. At that point my grandson had told his mother what happened and that all they had to do was accept responsibility for their error, she was beside me at the drive through. And now I'm sitting on the side of the road writing this recount of what was to be a memorable day, angry, frustrated and upset over what a little customer service could have resolved, while my grandchildren are back at home with their parents & I'm on my way home alone to precess what just happened. I have never in my 50 years experienced this level of customer service, as I have experienced much. Humility and kindness goes a long way but this absolutely and unnecessarily took a turn for the worse. read more

Disappointed. The tenders were stale and mushy. Like they had been cooked hours earlier. The biscuits were great though.

If I could give a 2 1/2, I would, but I guess overall, a three star is ok. Ease of ordering- good. Counter service. Pricing -Fair. We ordered the special for 7.77.(I think that was the price) 3 PCs and two sides. Two wings and a breast with corn, and green beans with a biscuit for hubby. Wings were awesome, green beans and biscuit were just as good. Corn on cob a bit mushy but edible. The breast however, DRY as dry could be. As for me, same chicken, same result. The crunch was good, but dry! Green beans were good, Mac n cheese was just ok. Biscuit was great. We should have gotten the thighs. Oh well, next time! Yes, we will go back and try again. read more

The gentleman taking my order for a large mixed livers and gizzards was delightful. This generous serving came out immediately. The livers were overcooked and leathery, the few gizzards were perfectly fried, but too salty. The box was 2/3 livers, l ate 3 livers before l got the clue that it wasn't going to get better. Shorted us 8 pieces of chicken. When I went back, I was told it would be a 5 minute wait. It was 25 at least. During that time, one person came from the drive through to ask if they forgotten their order and an off duty employee came in, ordered and got their order before me. The fry cook came out and jokingly told us we wanted to go to KFC and get chicken. He was visibly overwhelmed. During my wait, there were multiple people that came in and got their order before me even though they had ordered after me. After 25 minutes waiting I was asked by an employee if I was still waiting for my order. I reminded her it was supposed to be spicy. When we got home, we discovered it was original. At this point it was over an hour from our original pick up time. I called the manager and he just argued me and told me it was spicy. This is the last time we will visit this location. read more

I spent 31 minutes in the drive thru and was getting a little bit upset by it, but the food was goodern F and the friendly service was enjoyed and very much unexpected considering how busy they are! I have been here twice since this location has been under new management. I have to state that the livers were very salty (like almost throw up salty). The gizzards were good (bear in mind it was the first time I tried either). The original chicken sandwich was also salty. I had thought Lee's glazed their chicken with honey or something in the past? I ordered two sides and one of my sides would be replaced with a stupid dipping sauce. I don't have time to go back and tell them to redo my order. Me and my fiancé came through and ordered a 5 piece strip and a 3 piece strip. We then proceeded to drive home (and didn't taste the food yet because we had an upset baby in the car). We get home and the chicken in my 3 piece was so over cooked that it was hard to even bite and chew. My fiancés 5 piece had 2 pieces of chicken that still had pink in the middle. We called up to the establishment to attempt to get a refund. To which we were informed that couldn't happen unless we came back up there and brought the food back, after being out for the last 5 hours running errands , it's not even worth it. I was looking forward to having Lee's again. Unfortunately, I'm regretting that decision. Signed up for their eclub and received an email for a free side. The link does take you to their web page but there wasn't any way to get the free side. So I just ordered through their app. Not the best app but also not the worst. Steps should be a little more intuitive. Ordered an 8 piece spicy tender meal with two sides and 4 biscuits. Go to pick up my order. The gentleman goes to the kitchen and returns with a box and sides. He checks the box and there aren't any biscuits. Goes back to the kitchen and returns with a different box that includes biscuits. We spoke a little and he even showed me the ticket with my order. When I get to my car I had the feeling that I should check the box. Sure enough it's 8 pieces of regular chicken. Back in I go. Told them it was not what I ordered. He apologized and took it back to the kitchen. From comments I heard it wasn't the first wrong order. Out he comes with a new smaller box of tenders and the other box with the chicken and biscuits. I did check the the new box and confirmed they were tenders. So home I went. Overall the chicken was pretty bland tasting. The tenders were definitely not spicy as even my wife didn't think they were. This is not the same chicken as before. Disappointing.
