If you like eggs Benedict even a little...GET THE LEELAND BENEDICT!!! Best eggs Benedict I've ever had, and I've had a lot. My husband got the jam burger and said it was amazing as well.

Leeland House is a swanky brunch spot frequented by many by the looks of it. Featuring a small but straightforward menu, an outdoor area with a big screen, and good bites. We got in despite there being a wait by using the back outside area. This does seem like a very busy place so plan around potentially waiting. They have customer parking out back but if you can't find a spot there then you'll have to settle for street parking or the pricier lots across the street. Ordering is quick and the service was good, bringing our dog a water bowl and refilling water very quickly. We ordered their fried French toast, plain cheeseburger, and Cobb salad. The food came out at a decent time despite the server saying they were backed up and it was pretty good. The Cobb salad was refreshing and savory, the fried French toast very sweet with a nice crunch, and the cheeseburger was good but came with spicy house sauce when we specifically asked for no sauce. The fries with the burger are also very peppery but the flavor and texture are good. When we went to close out we were all very happy with our meals. One thing to pay attention to was when we were tipping they only had 3,5, and 7% as options unless you custom tipped which was strange. We're unsure if they auto charge gratuity or not so check your bill, don't seem like they did though. Honestly, Leeland House is pretty good as a casual, fun brunch spot that feels very communal and alive. It was a lot of fun and we think you'll feel the same way when stopping by.

I came to Leeland House with a party of 8 to celebrate a friend's birthday. I was a little hesitant after reading some earlier reviews, but to my surprise the experience was great. The food came out in a timely manner, and our waitress Brianna was prompt, attentive, and made solid recommendations. Service stayed consistent even with our larger group, which I really appreciated. I did have a small issue with being charged for grilled chicken on my salad since it already came with it. The team handled it the right way and made it right by offering me a shot that I selected, which was about a 2.5x price difference. That kind of customer service goes a long way. Overall, good food, good service, and a well-handled issue. I will definitely be back.

This rating is particularly for the food, not meeting expectations. Reece was amazing as a server and took very good care of our table of 8. The vibe was really great as always, which is why we came. For the food, timing was decent from ordering to the table, but my order was for the Bananas Foster Dream Pancakes. What attracted me to this dish was from their actual Instagram page. The image and description definitely made me want to order but I was disappointed because I thought I was getting these delicious caramelized banana pancakes. The issue is I received regular pancakes with syrup barely drizzled and regular pancakes. Just look at what I received vs what I ordered red from their page.

Leeland House used to be one of my favorite brunch spots in EaDo with chill vibes, solid food, good service, and drinks that didn't feel like an afterthought. Sadly, those days are gone. What was once a hidden gem has completely lost its charm. The service was painfully slow and indifferent, the food was mid at best, and they've added an automatic 20% gratuity for the privilege of being ignored. It feels like they're trying to keep up with every other "Instagram brunch" spot in Houston... they're just missing the fake grass wall and neon sign. Really disappointing to see a once-great spot slide into substandard mediocrity.

My cousin and I visited this spot after hearing about their "elevated breakfast," but while the food looked good, the overall experience didn't quite live up to that label. When we arrived, the hostess let us know it was open seating--so we grabbed a spot on their spacious patio, which was lovely. There's also a small indoor area if you prefer to dine inside. However, the setup was more casual than expected: after claiming a table, you place your order at the bar, and the food is brought out to you. That's totally fine for a relaxed café, but it didn't match the "elevated" experience we had in mind. That said, the bartender was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We ordered the Sweet Potato Hash, Leeland Benedict, a Honey Lavender Latte, and a 'Stachio Matcha Latte. My cousin enjoyed her latte and Benedict--especially the bacon it came with. My dish, on the other hand, fell a bit short. The avocado mash didn't taste fresh or homemade, and I would've much preferred fresh sliced avocado. The sweet potatoes were inconsistent--some were delicious, others undercooked. The lavender latte was very light and didn't leave much of an impression. Also worth noting: parking is street-only, so it's a good idea to arrive early to give yourself time to find a spot. Overall, it's a cute place with friendly service and a relaxed vibe, but the food and setup felt more casual than elevated. Nice if you're already in the area, but not a must-visit.

This is my second time here for a group brunch situation. I believe it is Black owned so it's a popular destination. The first time I didn't have the food but it was a nice atmosphere. This time there was 20ish of us so I know that can be chaotic. They seemed to have a system down where they came to take our order instead of the usual order at the counter and got our names for the orders so it could be separate checks. Ir was still a mess with wrong orders, misplaced orders and long wait times even for tea. I ordered the sticky chicken biscuit and it left much to be desired. They put honey in too of the outside of the biscuit making it near impossible to actually pick up and enjoy as a sandwich. I was really looking forward to the pimento cheese in the sandwich but there was only a drop so I asked for more. The chicken itself wasn't flavorful to me and the potatoes were the best part of the dish. We were outside and it was 50° and due to the permanent canopy there was no sunshine. We had to request multiple times to get heaters which still didn't help much. Long story short they tried to accommodate us with the service but it was still lacking, food was unremarkable and outdoor seating was inadequately heated. I'd be willing to give them another try with a smaller party but I didn't see or hear anyone raving about their food. Parking is limited behind and in front of there is paid street parking and a few adjacent streets with free parking. The lock in the first bathroom doesn't work and seems like something easy enough to fix but hasn't been.

I've passed by the place a few times and wanted to give it a try. The food is pretty decent but it is WAY too overpriced. We paid $56 for 2 drinks and 2 lunch items. The brisket hash and the honey chicken brisket was decent. The iced coffees & matcha had more ice than liquid but they did have other milk options which was nice. But my biggest gripe is, every order has gratuity added in which is outrageous. You pick your own table, scan a QR Code, walk inside to the bar, stand in a line, order your food and all they do is bring it out to you. You can't even ask for more honey, to go cup or even more napkins. Why charge gratuity if you Arn't even going to serve us? Does the gratuity go to the bartenders standing back behind the bar or the cooks? This is also not posted anywhere visible where you order, the bartender told us this after we ordered and charged our card. THEN they ask for a tip on top of the gratuity. If we knew this beforehand we would not have came because why am I paying a gratuity if we have to do all of the work for you.

Came to Leeland today after run club! Always pleasant and quick service! I had the cheesy classic today and it was a pretty plain burger I would've wanted a little more but overall still good. The ambiance is very causal and laid back, great spot to chill and hang out with friends

This was my first time trying this restaurant for brunch. I heard of this place via TikTok. There are only a handful of parking spaces in front of the restaurant. So we resorted to parking on the street. We parked behind the bbq restaurant across the street and there is free parking on Sundays. Inside seating in both buildings is small. All tables inside/out are first come first serve. All tables have a number and QR code menu. Have someone stay at the table so you don't lose it. You have to stand in line to place your order. They have two separate ordering lines, one inside and one outside. We decided to sit outside. They had two large screens of tvs playing sports. One was closed captioned. They also had a DJ outside and he was playing great music, mostly R&B. When placing your order, you have to give your table number. There is an 18% gratuity charge automatically added to your bill. If you order a mimosa or alcohol drink they give it to you upon ordering. Specialty coffees are delivered to the table and so is the food. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food to come. I had the honey chicken biscuit, my friend had the sweet potato hash, and the biscuit basket. The honey chicken biscuit was good. The chicken was flavorful and the biscuit was soft and buttery. The dish was served with diced potatoes. The potatoes were okay. I wish I substituted the side. My friend enjoyed her dish/biscuits. We ordered a pineapple craft mimosa. I didn't taste the pineapple, but it was decent. My friend said, "they put a splash of the pineapple and majority of the drink was champagne." I'd be open to trying other flavors of the drink. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here. I will definitely return to this restaurant soon and recommend to others.

While I did enjoy my food and the vibe of Leeland house, I have no choice, but to feel like I went on a bad day. It took 40 minutes to get sat even with the reservation, and and the restaurant seemed severely understaffed. While there were lots of available tables, our righteous struggled, making regular rounds to visit us. In addition, the restaurant was out of burgers, and biscuits, which really put a damper on our larger group who was seeking both breakfast and lunch options. This is such a cool place, with great drinks and an amazing vibe, I am hoping that my next experience will be better.

What a fun spot!! If you're looking for quick seating, great coffee, and a solid food this is your brunch spot! The host sat us right away and you have the option to be served or self serve at the bar. There was no pressure either way. They are also pet friendly! The wait for food took a minute however they were slammed. I also thought $12 was a bit much for two pancakes but still delicious!

I really enjoyed my brunch experience at Leeland House. I visited for the first time after Sunday service looking for a chill brunch vibe that didn't have all the extra activity that comes with other Houston restaurants. The Honey Butter Chicken biscuit was AMAZING!! The chicken was nicely fried on a homemade biscuit. I appreciated the fact that I could add bacon and they had a good mixed berry jam to balance out the savory with sweet. Of course I did the mimosa carafe and the choice of fruit juices (Mango) instead of only plain OJ was a bonus. What I ended up appreciating the most was the service model. All orders - food and drinks, are placed and paid for at the bar upon ordering and you're given a number to take to your table. There are multiple bartenders so you don't have to worry about a long wait or having to go look for your server which was refreshing. Only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because of the limited indoor seating and lack of free parking which is expected for this part of town. There are fans on the porch and in the patio area so it's not unbearable during the meal. Overall 9/10!

This place has a great vibe. It's a converted house, the inside is intimate with limited seating, however, there is a large outdoor setting with a lot of patio dining options. They had a DJ playing great music so outside it a great option. It does have shade so you can attempt to beat the summer heat. There are no hostess, Find a table first and remember your table number then go up and order at the bar. I had ordered a mimosa carafe fur my friend and I. For my food I ordered the avocado toast which came with mixed greens salad and substituted bacon for a fruit cup. It was an excellent choice as it was filling and met my dietary needs. This is one of my favorite places! read more

I've heard about this place and wanted to try it out however I was really disappointed. I'm not a fan of picking a table then getting up to order food but hey that's how this place operates. My friend and I went on a Sunday, I guess it's one of their busier days because this place was PACKED! We had to sit outside because the inside is really small and was full. After finding a table, we went to the stand to order. First let down was that their coffee bar closes at 2! It was cold outside and we wanted something to warm us up while we waited for our food but there were no signs nor was it on the menu that their coffee bar closed at a specific time. Let down number 2, all 15 heaters were not working! A bunch of guests were outside shivering and complaining! When asked to speak to a manager, he said that they all ran out of propane and he couldn't send anyone to buy more. (An updated inventory check is much needed!) Third and final let down was the fact that we waited an hour for a salad with a side of potatoes and a sweet potato hash! If I ever come back, it would have to be when they are less busy and warm outside! read more

Definitely some pros and cons to this place. The menu is big and the prices are fairly affordable, especially for their drinks! Would come back here just to try more of those, but we enjoyed the $5 mimosas. The honey lavender latte was good as well. Food wise, I wasn't too impressed with my biscuits and gravy. The biscuits themselves were nice but the gravy wasn't anything crazy, and the crispy chicken I added to it had kind of a rubbery meat in it, like it was a frozen patty or something. Reminded me of school lunch chicken lol, I guess I was expecting like a breaded chicken breast. My family liked their Benedicts though. We came on a Saturday around 10:30 and it was pretty swamped! The place is huge, we ended up getting a table outside, where it's much more lively, pretty loud and they had a DJ. Was hard to have a conversation without raising your voice. If you want a more quieter vibe they have some indoor seating but we just couldn't find an open table there. It also took them about 40 minutes to bring out our food, so if you come during peak time definitely prepare to wait read more

Place was a lot bigger than I expected! I got the leeland benedict and they were yummy, but the reason why I gave 5 stars was bc of the pistachio matcha latte. It was to DIE for, I loved it. My friends also really enjoyed their jamburger and tx benny. We came right before the lunch rush, so our food came out quickly! My latte came out 2 min after I sat back down, super fast. read more

Been coming here for years. They recently changed from order at the counter to table service which led to a bad experience. Our server had a friendly disposition but was generally inattentive. My fiancés coffee and breakfast came out 10-15 minutes before mine, and she was finished eating by the time mine even arrived. Then we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity which was not communicated to us and I provided an additional full tip on top of that. I called to have the tip removed but was told I need to drive all the way back to the restaurant to do that. It seems they made the shift to table service without thought to training the staff. They seem to have recently shifted from a casual neighborhood vibe to trying to attract the fickle instagram crowd. There were 4-5 teenagers standing at the front who appeared to just be hanging out, laughing and not working. The automatic gratuity seems to have sparked a steep drop in service levels and accountability. read more

Came to Leeland House after a year and wasn't too happy with the service. Although the restaurant was short staffed, we didn't get our lemonade and tea until after we finished our meal. Had to ask for water. Food was good. Wasn't too happy that automatic gratuity was added to my check with only a table of two. Don't think I'll be back due to this policy. read more

We found this restaurant near our hotel while visiting for a quick weekend trip. We ordered the Benedict and the chicken breakfast biscuit and they were both delicious. I wasn't a fan of the side salad that came with the Benedict but it was fresh (just didn't care for the dressing, others might!) Also looked like a great place to watch the game as they had a huge area out back with a large projection screen. Would definitely visit again read more

This was our first time back to Leeland House since maybe 4 years ago. Hostess was very kind and professional, after that it went downhill. We were sitting on the front porch area, It took about 20 min for someone to take our drink order, then about 30 min to get our food. We ordered bloody Mary's that tasted like too much tomato Clamato juice. When we got our food it was room temperature. This will be our last visit to Leeland House. Too bad, they use to be so good! read more

THE place to go for a good brunch!!!! You can't go wrong with anything you order on the menu; however, I highly recommend the Leeland benedict, brisket hash, or shrimp & grits. All are delicious, great portions, and a great price. Not to mention, mimosa carafes start at only $15! The ambiance is awesome. Live music and lots of seating for parties both big and small. The music can be a bit loud if you sit outside, and it might get a little hot if you're not sitting in front of a fan but luckily there's indoor seating. Good vibes all around. Service is great too, but there's not a ton of interaction with the staff since it's counter ordering. Parking is a bit limited from my experience, but there's plenty of free street parking down the road. When brunch is over, my friends and I like to go inside Around the Corner and continue hanging out there! MAKE THIS YOUR NEW SPOT!! read more

This was my first time here and I had such a fun time with some friends. The ambiance, dj, and food were amazing. The only bad thing was I got towed by parking on the fence that said J-bar-m bbq which only stated "customer parking" and the manager also said they've never had vehicles towed there before but he also offered to refund me my food and drink even though it wasn't his fault. Easy seating and the fastest food service I've ever seen. We were done with our meals before the drinks came out. How does that happen? Food came out before the guys came back from paying. Impressive. Now the food was pretty good but nothing great. French toast was small. You need a side with that one. The Leeland Benedict was pretty good but also it wasn't very hot which made me sad. My kid got fries and sliced avocados. No mistakes there. Fries were tasty. Drinks were slow and our carafe that had water in it had these weird orange pieces maybe from the mimosas but still. Outside area huge and great for kids and the DJ was on point read more

Leeland House is a favorite of mine! When I say everything is delicious, it really is. It gets packed so I recommend going early for inside seating, especially on the weekends. Outside isn't too bad since they have fans. It's a great atmosphere and everyone is always so nice. During the weekday, their cauliflower bites are the BEST! Note: You have to pick a table before you go up & order. They ask for your table number, then they bring the food out to you. read more

I went here for brunch over the weekend and everything was good. Customer service was excellent. You order at the bar then seat yourself. They have 2 patios and the inside is a little small. Overall, everything was great. Definitely will be back! read more

The atmosphere is nice, quaint but the food leaves something to be desired. We happened upon Leeland House because shockingly, Brother's Taco House was closed on a Sunday at 10a (que pedo?!) There is no visible menu. You snap the QR code at your table and order at the bar. It's a cute place for first date, BFF brunch but don't come hungry, the food and drinks are underwhelming. read more

This had to be one of the best breakfast spots in Houston rn. There are so many amazing options and innovative recipes. The servers are polite and the food is often out pretty quickly. Leeland House is just as it says a cute little house close to downtown. I went Saturday and it was packed. Luckily there's a lot of outside seating and even another house attached to the main entrance for seating too. There are 2 bars to sit at and they have some good drink specials for brunch. The food is good but they don't have a kids menu. You order from the bar they give you a number and bring your food to you. The food comes pretty quick. Parking is limited so if you don't get their early you'll have to pay for street parking which is a little over a dollar an hour. Been here for coffee and breakfast a couple times now. They have a big patio seating area shared with their dinner time location. Parking seems like it might be an issue if EaDo gets busy at the time you visit. Coffees and cocktails are quality, as expected. And the all day brunch menu has the right mix of savory and sweet options. Good marks for the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and BLT+A. The Crème Brûlée pancakes were a little on the dry side, and couldn't really taste the crème brûlée part sadly. Staff is friendly and the portions are big! read more

Price: $25 for one person, Brisket Hash and Honey Lavender Latte. Food was good and coffee was even better. The food came out fast and before my coffee got cold, hot coffee and food is always good! I especially enjoyed the sauce they put on Brisket Hash plate. It was not spicy. The only thing, which was my fault, is I didn't get scrambled eggs. I should have ordered them, but with my excitement of trying them out. I forgot. Service was amazing. They were all friendly, attentive, and efficient. Just know, this is not a sit down and order place. You can scan QR code on table and then go to bar to order. Just give them your table number (next to QR) code and they will bring your food to you. Came here for brunch while on a weekend trip with my boyfriend. We really enjoyed the calm but upbeat atmosphere of the restaurant. The building was decorated super cute for Christmas. Loved the lights and plants. We received friendly and quick service. The food was absolutely delicious but on top of that all the mimosas and coffee were made perfectly and looked super cute. Grab & Go or Dine in establishment. How it works for dining in is you find a table first and then order your food at the register so they can deliver the food to that assigned table. Very efficient system and lots of patio seating as well as indoor, bar, & high top seating options. Limited vegan options but the drinks are great. I got the pistachio matcha latte that comes with vegan whipped cream. Amaziiiiing. Oatmeal was decent, served with fresh berries. Hash brown were standard nothing fancy. Everyone loved their food though. For you meat eaters, try the Brisket hash and TX Benny. The staff is super nice. Go see my girl Cynthia. Nice place, great ambiance. It is a little bit of a downer to have to order at the bar, specially if you didn't notice your table number. Mimosas are on point for brunch, bloody Marys less so. Very limited menu for brunch, so be ready to compromise. read more

Shrimp and grits for brunch- this was okay kind of dry. Needed more pepper and seasoning. Chicken and biscuits: my husband liked this but definitely needed some hot sauce. Side of bacon: this was crispy Iced chai was refreshing and not super sweet but would get this again. Blueberry mule: this was good. I was in the Downtown area with the family for errands too early in the morning. We couldn't find an IHOP or Denny's so we looked up breakfast places and came across Leeland House. It's in an unassuming building and looked closed. But I walked in to find that it was open. It has a nice patio for alfresco dining but we sat inside because this is Houston. It was dead empty except one older lady at the bar. The devote is pretty for an evening out with close friends or a date. The bartender/waitress was nice and gave us menus. My eyes blew open at the crazy high prices. But when your kids are hangry, you feed them wild animals ASAP (parents know what I mean). We got expensive coffee that was kinda weak but doable. Its self serve. For the price, I expected full service. The good came quickly. It looked so fancy. Who eats salad for breakfast? Hipsters. Fancy food with a hint of rich kids looking homeless thing. This was an establishment we had not been to and thought it would be good to go on Father's Day. Well, not what we expected. Had to pay $20 to park. Things started out ok and soon went south. The chicken sandwich was like rubber and asked the server to replace it with the Lobster & Grits. Had to ask for the French toast that got overlooked, had to ask the server for the soda she forgot. The brisket hash was suppose to be with grits but came with potatoes. Charged us for the grits as a side. Now back to The chicken sandwich that was horrible and opted for the lobster & grits. Well 30 minutes later no lobster & grits. Asked the server what was taking so long to which she said there were two orders ahead of that order. Let me educate you. I was a server for many years and when you have a guest that's returning an item that's not good and to replace it, that order jumps to the front of all other orders. Ended up cancelling the order which meant one of us didn't get to eat. The manager then gives us 20% off coupons that expired in 2025. I came to Leeland House with a large party and was pretty disappointed with the experience. From the start, the staff seemed uninterested and not very accommodating. Our server appeared unhappy to serve us and had an attitude throughout the visit, which made things uncomfortable. The music was blasting so loudly that it was difficult to hear conversations at our table. The food was only lukewarm when it arrived, which was frustrating given the prices. We also chose to sit outside, but there were a lot of flies around while we were trying to eat, which took away from the experience even more. Overall, the experience felt very underwhelming and overpriced for the level of service and food quality. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Been talking to my girlfriends about this place for a while. Took them to brunch there and I was honestly disappointed. The quality isn't worth what you pay for. Pretty sure I noticed instant grit bags for the shrimp and grits which is one of the most expensive thing on the menu? The staff is friendly but always seem to get nervous around the owner? Who we have noticed is kind of intimidating and seems to treat her staff poorly publicly. Which is kind of sad to be honest. Love the atmosphere but the pricing for what is being served needs to probably come down. And maybe the staff needs to be less tense. I can see a lot of potential in this cute place! read more

We had heard some great reviews about this lace from our folks. So my wife and I took time out from our busy schedule to visit them on a Friday morning. We were very excited to see an amazing menu so we naturally ordered a lot and since it was early morning and the order is big, we imagined that it would take more time than usual. But they took a decade to deliver. Though, I should give them credit where it is due. The food was just amazing, we dug into it and like it very much. Everything was fresh, juicy and smelled great.
