Took my Honda CRV for repaired on Monday 5/17/2021 after Jiffy Lube sold me a new battery without checking the alternator ( my 3 years old battery was still good) . Spencer checked the alternator, and he said yes need to be replaced. He gave me the price for part, labor and approximate time to finish. My car was ready within time he promised, with a reasonable cost and NO UNEXPECTED EXTRA REPAIRS. I have been driving my car around without any problems since. Spencer is very polite, to the point, very serious person, hardly smile, get the job done. Definitely I will be back to him for more repairs. At times it is hard to understand the people at Lees because of the language barrier, communication comes from patience. The lady and I came to an understanding and my mother's car was fixed for a pretty decent price. It's an older car and we came late on a Saturday. So the lady had to keep the car until Monday. Although, my mother wasn't happy about leaving her car, when we picked it up, it ran just fine and she shouldn't have anymore alternator problems. In fact, I take my 2000 Chevy Silverado to get it fixed when needed (now we refuse to have Harbor Chevrolet work on the truck-Only Lee's now-) Lee's mechanics are the best in the are as far as I know. Their prices are fair and I believe they check the car problem for free. I highly recommend you go there for your car troubles. They will tell you what's wrong with it and not try to gouge you like other places will. read more

Just like everyone said, they are super friendly, especially the elder Korean lady. It's like visiting one of my friends and having their mom or grandma offer food. The service was very quick, much better priced than many corporate stores, and really has that mom & pop business feel. The lady said that they have been here since 1980 and it shows why. Whenever the person who greets you looks at you when you enter and says "yeah" instead of hello you know it's not going to be good. I just needed a headlight replaced on a Honda and he began looking over the car like he'd never even seen a vehicle. Proceeds to turn the headlights into the off position (all cars nowadays have them in auto at all times) and look at the bulbs. Ummmmm... I'm no mechanic but I surely know you need the lights on to figure out which one needs replacing. Then begins looking under the car to go through the area where the tire is to replace a headlight (????)- even I know that's wrong. Lee, if you had no desire to replace the light (because that's how you behaved), you should've said you couldn't do it when I called shortly before I arrived. Small business in the beginning is how you get big business later, but you obviously don't get that. read more

I came here because I wanted an oil change and smog check done in one go. There was no wait at all, which was awesome! The lady was very nice and offered me a cold bottled water. The smog check took 10 minutes, the oil change took about 20. And I was out of there in 30 minutes! 1 star off because I asked for Mobil 1 Synthetic, and they said they had it. But I believe they gave me Mobil Super Synthetic instead. Not a huge deal, because the price was the cheapest I could find in Long Beach, but at least know the differences between the oils! read more

We have had a few things that we've gone to Lee's Auto Service for. We started with basic smog checks and found Spencer to be an honest and thorough mechanic. We had an issue with vibration in our Ford Transit van. They couldn't seem to get it right at the Ford dealership. Spencer found a broken motor mount and replaced it. The vibration went away. This weekend we had a battery problem. He gave us good advice and we found a battery at AutoZone which we took to Spencer to install. He and the other fellow sometimes seem quite busy and haven't got time for much chatting but they are good guys. Thanks Spencer. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a while, but since it's the new year I want to thank everyone who's been amazing in 2020. I go to Lee's for my oil change. I appreciate that they are always accommodating and try hard to get me in and out even when I don't call ahead. It's very convenient with plenty of parking and a place to wait. I don't ever feel like anyone is going to try to tell me something else is wrong with my car. They are honest, quick, and very nice. I have been using Lee's Auto Service for maintenance services for a couple years now - they never cease to impress me with their stellar service. They are always efficient and pleasant in providing services and charge very reasonable prices. Most recently, they found that my car needed to have the water pump and timing belt of my car fixed when they were doing an oil change. They were very conscientious in preparing for the job ahead of time so that this repair (which typically takes a whole day) could be completed in the late afternoon to accommodate my schedule. read more

The nice lady on the phone told me to come now, once I got there I asked how long it would and she replied 20 mins. Sure enough, I was out of there 20 mins later. She offered me coffee and water. So I was having a rattling noise and I thought it might have something to do with my breaks. so I took it to a mobile station that has a "break specialist" and he said I don't see what's wrong, and they breaks wouldn't rattle. This place is about 3 blocks from my house so I decided to check it out. he hoped in my car heard the noise and said I need to replace the breaks, gave me a quote and was very reasonable and I was in the next day, dropped off my car and added an oil change. I dropped my car off at 8am and I got a call around noon saying it was ready for pick up. very friendly and honest. I will be a lifetime customer here. read more

This is my go-to spot for oil change. It's a mom and pop shop that you can rely on. They are not going to rip you off or try to offer you things you don't need for your car. They do get busy on the weekends sometimes but it's not up to the point where the wait is too long. Can't go wrong here. I highly recommend! :) read more

I love this place! Such a gem. I come here for all of my oil changes and it's super fast and only $30. I also had a coolant leak that they fixed no problem and for a reasonable price (i don't remember how much I paid). Also a smog check.. No issues there. They take credit cards. Pretty much if I have a car problem I definitely would come here first. I believe they are Korean so it's a small language barrier but the wife is very hospitable and always offers some beverages while you wait. Great service and quick. And they don't rip you off. I used to go to my dealership for oil changes (which would take half a day even with an appt). They told me I needed my breaks changed. I brought my car to Lees and they said my brakes were still in great condition and only took 20 min to change my oil. Great spot, I'm glad I found it! read more

Good car shop- I've only gotten my oil changed but the service was fine at a fair price. My car was in and out, it's never really busy.
