Best Chinese food. I compare all places to here. Their egg rolls, beef and broccoli, and shrimp/lobster sauce, the rice!

When you call the woman who answered the phone very rude. Last time I let them slide. This time I wanted to let others know. I bought about 30.00 dollars worth of food. It wasn't packaged right. I almost burned myself with those little black trays they give you. Especially when you spend much more money then that!I am really very upset. I will never go back there. Don't know why this place is rated so low with the exception of its location-it is a rough neighborhood-probably best to go in the morning/daytime. Their chop suey is PHENOMENAL. Love both the beef and chicken. It tastes fresh with plenty of veggies and well seasoned sauce without feeling sluggish from the MSG. Fried rice-one of my favorites that I've ever had. Get the shrimp fried rice. As for egg rolls...arguably the best I've ever tasted. When you get them fresh from the fryer, they are delicious. I am picky with egg rolls, so this one fits the bill for me. Well-seasoned cabbage with bits of shrimp you can actually see and taste. Overall assessment, great tasting food. Best to carry out instead of eat inside, and go there in morning/daytime. Certainly not a place to miss because of one review. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would! To start off when I called the woman who answered the phone was rude and acted like I was bothering her by simply giving my order. She told me it would be 15 minutes for the order to be ready which was fine. On my way there she called me and rudely told me that my order was ready. I informed her that I was on my way. She rattled off the location and hung up. I ordered combination lo mein and crab rangoon. My boyfriend ordered pepper steak. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE!! I don't know what they gave me, but it definitely wasn't combination lo mein! My boyfriend only ate his food because he was hungry. Mine however went straight in the trash. A long time family favorite! Amazing shrimp egg rolls! One of my favorite places. I love their shrimp egg foo young, and I love their shrimp friend rice as well, along with many other menu options. There is something special when a place cooks the food right in front of you. I called in to order from here today because many years ago, I would go here & the food was always excellent! I asked if the owners were still the same because I wanted to be sure that I'd get that same good flavor I'd experienced years ago and I was told Yes that the owners were still the same! Well, I purchased more than $50 worth of food and it was HORRIBLE! I love good food and I can tell the difference between the two! The food tasted as if it sat in (2) month old grease, it had a bitter after taste to the spicy lo mein noodles, the chicken fried rice had more of an old tasting gummy flavor NOT the fresh flavor fried rice that I'm used to and the Chicken egg foo yung tasted different as well. Jus leaving the hospital unfortunately these people gave me shrimp egg rolls instead of the veggie egg rolls I ordered. Never will I eat at this place again I advise u not too if your allergic to seafood. Ask for veggie and they give u shrimp and them won't give u a refund. read more

The service has gone down since about 2010 and they give you less meat than before. There are always bums begging for change and now they are inside the restaurant begging for money. I found a centipede in my shrimp fried rice and I haven't been there since. I go to Liang's in Lansing now and you couldn't give my any Lee's product for free. read more

ordered Thai Basil shrimp lunch special no basil leaves full of broccoli. I also only had 3 shrimp that's all bad. broccoli in Thai sauce is what I got That's not how it's made the flavor was ok but lacked ginger and Thai Basil. it's more like Thai and broccoli disappointed. it was flavorful but not the taste I was going for. they should clearly explain an item if they're going to put their spin on a recipe. Love sweet and chicken, fried fish, and chicken wings my kids love! Always fast get orders right everytime I call no complaints. Been going here for 6 years and they're better than Eat Rice in Homewood which used to be my fav chinese restaurant. I can't recommend u eat in definitely a carryout spot. read more

These people don't care about customer satisfaction. I ordered a small shrimp and chicken fried rice and won ton soup. I have always had won ton soup that had pork in the noodles, pea pods pork strips in chicken broth. They had small ship and dried out chicken in the noodles, no peapods they had broccoli. It was horrible. The fried rice she said came with 5 shrimp and we only counted 3. The rice was overcooked! I will never spend my money at this establishment again! I called to complain and they were like this is the way our food is. Okay. I am telling everyone I know not to spend a dime in this establishment. read more

Well, this is probably my 2nd review ever on Yelp but it's well worth it. My friend kept talking about this place but I refused to go due to the distance. Well, she convinced me to take the drive from the west side to the south suburbs and let me say this...I'm not sure if I would want to go anywhere else for my Chinese fix. OMG...the food...the egg rolls...the prices...if I could give more stars I would. I'll take this trip often. Thanks!!!! read more
