One of my favorite "hole in the wall" late night spots in Richmond. Their quesadillas won't disappoint, regardless of what kind you try. I like how they have different flavors of tortillas, which can enhance the flavor of whichever quesadilla you choose. This visit I got on of the RVA Favorites, the shrimp quesadilla. There were plenty of shrimp throughout and it seasoned to perfection, with a hint of spicyness. My only critique is that it fell apart after the first couple of bites so I wasn't able to eat it the normal way. There was a bit much too cheese for my liking (I know, I'm weird lol), but otherwise I really enjoyed my meal. I also recommend their wings, fish and chips and funnel cake. read more

The food was one of the only open places near us when we went. We ordered three quesadillas in our group and one water for 46 dollars, for no good reason. The quesadillas were beyond salty and had very odd combinations of ingredients that didn't quite go together: mushrooms and buffalo sauce, for example. It was drunk food. The food here is very good. I mostly order wings from here and they are a 10/10. We order them online for pick up and they're ready quickly and on time based on the estimate provided. Honestly was disappointed to say the least . I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap with fries . It looks like they poured the chicken into the To-go box and threw a tortilla on top of two piles of meat. Flavor was 4/10 , kinda strangely flavored . The fries had no seasoning not even salt , and were skinny and flimsy like high school lunch! I had to season them myself then they tasted edible .. This place has a very extensive collection of quesadillas, I am excited to try more. My only knocks were the meat was a little dry, a little sauce or more sauce in general would help. Ambiance is dope, the HiC pink lemonade on their drink machine is something I don't see too often anymore so that's pretty cool too. Really good place to go eat but one time I went there around 11:15am (around the time they say they open) and the door was locked. I looked inside and nobody was there so I don't know what was wrong, I checked the hours and it said they were open but I don't know what happened. I assume they were either running late or they just need to update their hours. Another time, I asked for no tomatoes on my quesadilla so it was basically just chicken, honey mustard, and onions. However, they SMOTHERED the quesadilla with onions to the point where there was more onions than chicken. I had to throw it away just because it was kind of nasty. I'm all for having onions and vegetables in my meal to balance it out but that was just way too much. Other than that experience, everything else has been great. The food is always cooked to order meaning it's fresh and I know I mentioned this already but the fries are bomb. They seem to be a mom and pop store that is immigrant owned. The only negative thing I have to say about the place is the customer service. It's really horrible and they can be very rude at times. The younger middle eastern or Hispanic girl with the chubby face and big hips tends to be rude. I also never get a receipt from them so I would advise you all to check your food before leaving because we all know the bs when it comes to a business asking for a receipt yet never giving you one. All of which are served on your selection of tortilla White, Wheat, Black Bean, Spinach, Tomato Basil, & Habanero.. A dipping sauce is also included. The basic Sour Cream you'd expect with a quesadilla and quite a few others.. They also serve wings which are delicious. Served with your choice of sauce, Honey BBQ, Buffalo Bo, Spicy BBQ.. The service was just okay. The food is what really makes me give only two stars. I ordered a quesadilla with chicken. It wasn't great and the chicken in it didn't taste like chicken. It was spongy and did not have a taste to it. It tasted like a bad chicken nugget. I didn't eat all of it... My friend who went with me had food poisoning directly after eating there. We could barely step out of the restaurant before she got severely sick. Not for sure what was in her food that caused her to get sick, but it was bad. I won't be back. Oh man this was purely a yelp find and did it surely pay off. We just needed a quick lunch that was close to our hotel, which being from Houston close to our hotel was a much different meaning to us. So really it was like a 20 minute drive. I just have to say that we need one of these in Houston, it made me so happy. Went here today with a friend to use a gift certificate I had received. I have to say it was not what I was expecting. Pros: The quesadillas were excellent and portions were ample. The food was well-priced, and with the "buy one, get one half off" coupons which are available many places, it made for an even better deal. The customer service was good, though I will say... Cons: ... that it is an interesting experience to have a 10-year-old kid ring you up at the register. I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble here, though this was extremely interesting. Sadly, he also got my order wrong (ignoring the two items I did not want in my quesadilla), though the food was still quite good. The chairs/seating are about what you'd expect from a quasi-fast-food establishment: unforgiving metal. I normally wouldn't mind the TV being broadcast in Spanish, though the frequent interruptions of my conversation with "GOAL!!!!!!" did make non-soccer-related discourse a bit difficult. Bo Dillaz for me was one of the places at first that I must admit I thought would be a gimmick. I mean directly across the street is Qdoba which sells quesadillas and around the block is a Chipotle that serves quesadillas. Never, EVER judge a book by it's cover. After my first meal at Bo Dillaz, I was simply hooked. Their menu goes beyond any quesdilla menu I've seen. Not only is the food amazing, the stuff is fun and the atmosphere can't be beat. The jalapenos arent the hottest weve ever had, but with the buffalo sauce, the heat kind of sneaks up on you. I ordered their monthly special, which was a quesadilla with shrimp, onions, pepper, etc. It was good, and tasted just like the ingredients said it would. Crunchy shrimp was a good choice. It was more than a little drippy, but the shell came nowhere close to getting soggy - much appreciated. I dont think you can get something bad here, but i also would be shocked to find something mindmeltingly delicious. If i go back, im trying something different on the menu every time. Went in at lunch. There was nobody in there. My first impressions were that it was squeaky clean and that the music was incredibly loud. Our order was taken and the girl behind the counter and the man I assume was the manager wandered off. After 10 minutes, the girl wandered back over on her personal cell phone. She took several more minutes to finish her conversation, then started our food. We both ordered the mis-steak, and a mistake and was. The ingredients were clearly not fresh. The meat was dry, like it had been left out in air for a long time, and the veggies didn't taste like anything. The cheese was lousy. The fries were cold. I left hungry because the food was bad enough that I just didn't want to eat any more after a couple of bites. Steer clear. There are far better places to eat in the area. But after a night of partying, the late night crew headed to Bo Dillaz. Simply amazing. You get your choice of chicken, breaded chicken, steak, ground beef, or veggie combo quesadillas. All packed with ingredients and toasted just right. I ordered "The Mess," and it really was (but in a good way!). Definitely try it out for yourself! From what I remember, it was breaded chicken, bacon, ranch, BBQ sauce, and my choice of cheese. Great for late night! Staff is funny and the price is relatively cheap (~$7.50 for a 12 inch quesadilla, or $5 for two 6 inch quesadillas). When I'm back in VCU, I know what spot to hit up. read more
