I called Lee's HVAC based on the reviews, and Lee personally answered the phone at 7 AM (well before business hours). He said they were nearby to Encino and had someone over within the hour. They came out, diagnosed the issue and recommended a new 4 ton unit was needed. A crane was needed to lift the unit onto my roof and the system is installed and working perfectly. This company was hired based on Yelp reviews. I was looking for a company that was licensed and had lots of experience. Primarily experience with roof mounted hvac units. This job was for an older family member that had previously had shoddy work from a bad company. Lee's was quick to respond and were able to diagnose the problem and execute the fix quickly. They first cleaned out old insulation from the entire attic and sanitized. They replaced all the ducts, sealed all things necessary and replaced the insulation with a much better one. They also repaired the pan the unit was on as it had previously caused a leak. It was a big job. They finished quickly and also sent a repair man to fix a cable they accidentally cut to the doorbell. They communicated constantly with myself and my family member to make sure they were happy and understood everything. I would highly recommend. read more

We called Lee in February to get a 2nd opinion about our dead A/C. He arrived the same day and helped us with the diagnosis of our 1989 A/C, which was dead and not repairable. He gave us a second opinion and a detailed estimate that same day. We tried to get our home insurance company to replace our AC, but they refused. On Wednesday, May 7th, we were ready to get a new AC system. I called Lee and asked if the estimate was still valid, and he confirmed that it was, and they were ready to install a new system on Friday to save us from the heat wave, which were coming to LA on Friday and Saturday. We called several other companies to compare the estimates, and 2 of them came that same day, but gave us, one $1,000 more with the lower quality system, and the other is way too expensive, $5,000 more than Lee's estimate. We decided to go with Lee. On Friday, Christian, a member of Lee's team, along with 2 other teammates arrived and immediately got to work. In 2 hours the crane came. At this moment a member of our HOA tried to stop the work claiming that the company didn't submit the necessary paperwork, although I personally did it 2 days before and received a confirmation and OK to proceed with replacement. Lee called the lady and talked to her. He explained everything and sent her personally all earlier submitted paperwork. She finally calmed down and even apologized for her too emotional reaction. The work continued and by 5:30PM the brand new AC system was installed and running. After that the team, led by Christian, installed a new Nest 4th generation thermostat. Christian demonstrated his expertise in installing new advanced devices. By 6:30PM everything was working perfectly. We paid the agreed amount and started to enjoy the cool air after 6 months without airconditioner or heater. Thank you, Lee's HVAC for a great job!!! Ray and Lee provided fair pricing and incredible customer service from the first moment I reached out to them all the way until after fully installing a new HVAC system in my townhouse. When I reached out to Lee's HVAC, it was for annual maintenance although I knew I needed a new HVAC soon. When I met Ray, he was highly communicative, nice, and honest with his feedback once he saw my HVAC. He offered to do the maintenance at a very fair price but also said they could provide a good deal on a new HVAC system. I truly thought, like many other companies just trying to make a buck, he'd come back with a high estimate for a new system but, to my surprise, it was a competitive and fair price. On top of that, when they realized they'd need to cut into the wall so the unit would be up-to-code, they also offered to include the drywall work. As we worked on finalizing the paperwork before they came to do the work, Ray was patient and kind when I had a lot of questions. And Lee also provided a lot of help as well so that I felt comfortable and at ease the entire way. A lot of companies do not communicate well or try to hike up prices especially when you're a woman, and they didn't do that with me at all. When the day came to do the installation of the HVAC, Ray and Lee's team arrived on time and did the work within a day's time. They explained everything to me, were very clean, covered the carpet so they wouldn't track in dirt, and also transported the old parts as well. They also installed a cover to fit in the unit and bring it up-to-code, which involved cutting into the ceiling. I was worried it wouldn't look great and it truly came out perfect! The work exceeded my expectations, and I'll refer my family/friends to Lee's HVAC. Great experience all around! Regarding my earlier post about Lee HVAC I must mention that in spite of the troubles and uncertainties during system installation, the end result is outstanding conditioned air! I'm as quick to commend as I am to complain and the installation crew is worthy of praise for their professionalism and workmanship and dedication to job completion, in spite of the language barrier. Lee called me after reading my Yelp review and we discussed my concerns as well as how communication between installer, sales rep, and company were not complete, not from lack of concern but rather some misplaced assumptions, that all was well. The outstanding long term of successful installations would indicate that this was no different, eliminating any need for a status check. Lee and I discussed the ever present unexpected and as such is not grounds to believe that Lee HVAC doesn't care, they do! He offered a sincere apology and made several gift offers to show his sincere sorrow for our inconvenience. So based on Lees 5 star reputation and the performance of our AC system, I will accept this experience as a one time anomaly and I will recommend Lee HVAC. I wish Lee continued good health and success in the future. The 'experience' started by me answering an unknown caller who turned out to be a cold caller for Lee HVAC in Canoga Park selling AC inspections and tuneups. Very nice lady. Ironically my son n laws 30 plus years old system had just died so I asked for a quote for total replacement-furnace, A-Coil, condenser, thermostat, ducts. Edaan the sales rep arrived on time the next day. He was one of the most knowledgeable professional and polished sales people that I'd seen and as a customer service rep for 14 years in the irrigation industry I've seen a lot plus his crew could start the next day and finish in 2 days, he said. That's all it took for my son n law and daughter to sign up. Edaan claimed to be a 'people person' but as the first day of installation turned into night and the dream of a crew as polished as Edaan turned into a nightmare of a crew that was very nice but totally unintelligible when it came to not being able to tell why they couldn't get the thermostat installed and why they couldn't get the AC fan to run because they were from another country! Nice but microscopic communication. There was a lot of shoulder shrugging and "habla muy poquito ingleis" That's ok because by then we were expecting Edaan to check in with a follow up call to see if the installation he sold was going as promised. Never got a call and the crew left at dark not be able to say exactly what was wrong, or when/if they'd be back. Only "the board" The following day (Saturday), we heard or saw nobody. I waited until 10 AM to tx message Edaan so as not jam his morning and found that he was not aware of the dilemma! Not his department maybe? He was at his sons soccer game. By then my livid daughter had contacted the company and spoke with Lee himself. He said the crew would be there soon. They worked until Saturday night and didn't finish. Said they'd be back Monday. Still "the board?" One man showed up Monday morning at 10 AM and finally got the system up and running by 5:30 PM. Just before my daughter and son n law arrived from their work. So four days later the job is done. Now here's the rub, there was NEVER a follow up call from Edaan nor Lee. Like "Hey is the job done. So sorry for the inconvenience, can we offer you cheeseburger?" Some show of concern. Some post installation concern for the customer. None to this day. As I said I've been in customer service and the only thing more important than customer acquisition is customer retention! That's where word of mouth advertising comes from, and that's what makes any business fly or crash. Speaking of crashing, I'll close with this summary. Edaan's presentation had us believing that we booked a first class flight to AC Paradise. Instead we boarded a flight to AC uncertainty, a mechanical layover in a foreign country that was unsure of problems or when they'd be fixed or how to even tell us that, in our language! The crew didn't get the support they needed and neither did we. Maybe I'm old school but I always followed up with my customers. I guess that kind of customer service is a lost art. Maybe today's society doesn't expect it, but I do. Anyway, that's my first and last experience with Lee HVAC in Canoga Park. read more

I did some research online about reasonable pricing, ac brands, and quality of service. I had some doubts about my previous technician at a different company, not because of price, but more because of quality of service and his response to some of my questions were vague and questionable. I have to say, I had some high hopes when I found Lee's HVAC through Yelp because of their high reviews and WOW, they did not disappoint. They let me talk to the owner where I let him know other quotes I had received. He was transparent and honest not to give me a quote right away, but agreed to inspect my AC unit first and provide after. Edaan the technician came to inspect my AC. He was very professional and helpful. Not only did he patiently answered all my questions, he provided me more information that I didn't know about. Furthermore, he went the extra step to speak with the AC company's regional director on speaker who was able to explain and answer some of the questions I had. That was next level service! He then gave me a quote that was VERY reasonable and competitive with no pressure felt. I agreed and the very next morning Manny (think that his name) and 2 other technicians came to install the AC unit. Manny was very professional, explained and answered my questions. Even after installation, he tested all the vents to make sure it was properly working and also went the extra step to manually adjust the air vent directions so that the air was circulating properly. I had a great experience with Lee's HVAC and will definitely utilize their service for ALL my HVAC needs in the future and will recommend them the my friends and family, co-workers and business clients! Don't bother if you're not trying to replace your A/C or furnace unit. I had a salesman come for a house visit. He didn't look at anything, unlike other companies, where the technicians went into the attic and looked at the venting to make a diagnoses and suggest an action plan. The salesman asked how many vents I had on the upper floor (which I had to count - he couldn't be bothered to count himself) and suggested a solution based on that. He said he would email me an estimate and didn't even bother to do that, probably because it wasn't a job big enough for them to even consider. Pathetic. Avoid at all costs. read more

During the recent heat wave that hit California, and especially felt in the San Fernando Valley, Lee was recommended to us when our tenant's HVAC system completely conked out. After a cold call, I agreed to have an Annual Maintenance Review done at our residence. Our 3-bedroom house has a heater in our attic, and outdoor 5-ton A/C unit. Raymond checked our Heater and confirmed everything looked good. He also advised there was evidence of rats, so I hopped on that issue shortly after his departure - good to know! Raymond checked and cleaned the outdoor A/C unit, and recommended we re-test it when the weather gets warmer. After I explained that the master bedroom doesn't cool down sufficiently in the summer heat, he had two suggestions for me - adding another vent & air return, or install a small 1-room HVAC unit.
