Edaan came promptly for the appointment. He was patient and thorough when examining the unit and said there was actually nothing wrong with it! Meanwhile several other HVAC companies who came to service it had quoted that it needed to be replaced ASAP and gave us estimates in excess of $20,000/unit. Don't bother if you're not trying to replace your A/C or furnace unit. I had a salesman come for a house visit. He didn't look at anything, unlike other companies, where the technicians went into the attic and looked at the venting to make a diagnoses and suggest an action plan. The salesman asked how many vents I had on the upper floor (which I had to count - he couldn't be bothered to count himself) and suggested a solution based on that. He said he would email me an estimate and didn't even bother to do that, probably because it wasn't a job big enough for them to even consider. Pathetic. Avoid at all costs. read more

After a cold call, I agreed to have an Annual Maintenance Review done at our residence. Our 3-bedroom house has a heater in our attic, and outdoor 5-ton A/C unit. Incompetent, outright deceptive and cheap. LA County inspectors violated the permit for our electric panel because of "misrepresentations" during the inspection by Shlomo (Leraan) - he used photos of a different project to get the permit. Cost me $5000 to fix and Shlomo refuses to pay. HVAC heating didn't work because Shlomo plugged the 220v unit into a 110v outlet. I paid for a specific HVAC model - he installed a cheaper and likely used HVAC system without telling me. The air intake accesses the garage which is dangerous and cannot get permitted. He charged $2000 extra after installation claiming it was because of tariffs and when I refused to pay that without proof he charged my Visa anyway. I am compelled to file a LASC complaint in order to get any reimbursement and had to completely trash the HVAC Shlomo put in and pay for another unit. My experience has been that if you want to have a contractor lie to your face and cheat you then Shlomo is your guy. read more

My heater's inducer motor went out the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Though they are incredibly busy, Raymond squeezed me in, coming in at 8am on the following Tuesday. He's so polite and considerate, put on booties before walking into the house (I have fairly new off-white carpeting). I thought it was going to be the heat limit switch that just needed resetting, but unfortunately, it was the inducer motor that failed. It's under warranty but a different company had installed the entire system 4 years ago, and I refuse to deal with them after they cheated me out of $500 on their underbid price that won them my business in the bidding war. Since that was only 4 years ago, the part itself is under warranty, BUT it was on backorder and then there was the holiday weekend. Night & Day told Raymond, when he double checked for me the day before Thanksgiving, that it would take 10-15 days to arrive, (which I assumed were business days). The part arrived this morning! Raymond called and said it arrived and asked if he could come by within an hour! After 12 days and 11 nights without heat, I was like, Oh my gosh, PLEASE YES!!! :) He was here before an hour had passed and he fixed it super quickly and now there is heat again :), yay! I can actually feel my fingers in order to type this! It's been 61 - 64 in the house and I really couldn't even feel my fingers well to type while it was so chilly before. Raymond gave me a really great deal on the total cost, too! I will be going with Lee's from now on, for sure! read more

Today was one of the hottest days of the year, and much to my family's dismay our central air unit stopped working! The compressor was not functioning and so I reached out to Lee's HVAC hoping they can still help me after 6pm, spoke to Lee over the phone about my situation and within the hour, the technician Raymond showed up to fix the issue; he was courteous, professional, worked fast and explained what was happening with my compressor unit, after replacing the main capacitor and adding a boost capacitor the compressor unit began working better than ever. Diagnosed the problem quickly which was a cloggrd run off line from debris in gutter and french drain. Didn't need them to fix it as I was able to take care of it myself. Did not try to upsell us on the system, and spoke to us about the different options we have. The only part they could have improved on is a follow up call where they had to install a UV bulb. Since it was a small job, it took a very long time (3 months) before they came back to do the installation.
