I'd seen the Lee's Sandwich coffees in the big cases at Costco, and was interested because I love me some ice coffee. Then a couple months back I was listening to NPR and they were discussing fast food healthy options. And Lee's sandwiches came up and the price seemed reasonable. So on my way back from an interview, I happened to see this place and swerve into the lot. Caution the lot is a bit small,and crowded for parking.. I go in, and am in awe of the price of the stuff. I got all excite about it that I didn't see the sign that said cash only. So they pointed me the ATM located 10 ft (how convenient) They also have other asians types snacks, such as seame balls with bean paste, steamed pork buns, for example. So I had a couple of those to go as well, along with a standard ice coffee, I was misled by the pictures so thought I'd be getting a small size baguette, which is why I ordered some more food. It was around 11:45, so the place was getting busy, but I waiting maybe 3 -4 mins for my order. I've read some comments about the bread not being fresh, but when I was there I saw the gal take a fresh batch right out the oven, and put a new batch in. I took my food to go and did the eat and drive as I had to head back to work. I was impressed by the size and freshness. I ordered a combo (which, don't be fooled is not like a combo at a McDs or other chaing) I'm not really sure what it was.. So I got their BBQ role, and it comes with fresh cilanto, a pickled daikon and carrots, pate, and, jalepenos and mayo I believe. It was soooo good. I like the coffee, but it had a little too much ice in it for me. If you like Vietnamese food, but you don' thave time to sit for this is just a good, and a I think a little healthier alternative to the burger joints. They also have non asian sandwiches, and for my filipino friends, avocado shakes!!! I will be visiting other locations to compare, but so far have to say I like this chain.. read more

[Years ago] I came across a Lee's Sandwiches in Santa Ana. I became a fan then and still am. I don't think they had many locations back then, I could be wrong. While on a trip to San Francisco, a surprised Lee's location was just around the corner from our hotel stay. I remember the joy on my sister's face; what felt like kids in a candy store, that moment was a big deal for us. We love their coffee and almond tuna sandwich. They keep it very light on the mayonnaise. And trust, I'm not a big fan of mayo. To this day, we stay at that precise hotel just because Lee's is around the corner. Which brings this review; Every Lee's Sandwich I've stepped foot in has always been welcoming and satisfying. I stopped by yesterday evening at this location. Waiting in line, not nosy or listening to a one-to-one chat, I simply was fond by how the customer in front of me and cashier carried on a conversation. Not bad. There is a signature Lee's iced coffee that is located in freezers not far from the doorway. I must say it is strong..and delicious! Technically one bottle is to be divided for single servings for beverages you want to make. Pfft. The sandwiches weren't anything special BUT the freshly baked bread was yummy. Will I come again? This is normally my favorite Lee's Sandwich location. I find myself driving an additional 17 miles past my local Lee's to this one in Commerce. But today I was disappointed with my order. First, the bread appeared to be stale, not fresh. The tomatoes were mushy to the point of melting, the tuna had no mayonnaise mixed in as usual, straight out of the can. And there was no almonds on a Tuna Almond Sandwich. As I stated, this is my favorite location and have been patronizing it for some time. I actually came across this place randomly as I was dropping off a package randomly at the UPS store across the street. I'm always looking for new things to try so I decided to pay them a visit. As soon as I stepped inside everything looked great and clean, definitely a plus. It was fairly empty and it took no time to place my order. All yelp was talking about was their coffee and they sure stressed that a lot inside the restaurant, but I wasn't really in the mood for coffee, I wanted a nice meal haha! So I tried their grilled pork sandwich combination with a snapple and your choice of chips. Along with a steamed pork bun because I can't resist a nice pork bun. The steamed pork bun is already made to order but the sandwich needed time to be prepared, but in my opinion they took too long to prepare it. There was only one order ahead of mine yet I ended up waiting around 20 minutes for one sandwich. I managed to catch a glimpse of the workers in the back and the one specifically who was making my sandwich was really taking her time. I like believing in "you can't rush perfection" but I think there's a limit. The sandwich only had like 5 ingredients in it and only one is the meat. Eventually though I got my food. So my first impression on the grilled pork sandwich is this is missing something. I think possibly it does need more condiments, it tasted pretty plain. The pork could've had more taste. Now the bread was pretty crispy on the outside with a nice soft inside and it was great, along with the veggies, very fresh and crisp. I think the chips I got complimented the sandwich and gave me the flavor I wanted. The pork bun had great texture and it's big and has a great price but also not the greatest I've had. Overall the place is fulfilling but it's not my cup of tea. Maybe I'll try another sandwich another day as they have many other choices from basic sandwiches like turkey, ham, bacon etc. and their special sandwiches like grilled chicken, grilled pork, pâté sandwiches with ham, and more. Still so far I think it was a bit lacking. I gotta try their coffee though, seems like the best thing about this place. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! They say they open at 7am. Well I was there today at 6:55 and waited til 7, me and another girl were waiting outside until the other girl knocked on the door. The worker who was there came out and said that the manager wasn't in yet and he would be in at 7:30 and the manager needed to be there to open the register. I left! The other girl stayed and argued with him and I saw him letting her in to order!!! After he told us no several times he let her order after I left! That's horrible! If you don't open at 7 you should advertise you open at 7 and then pick and choose who you are going to sell to. I felt discriminated against. This company has lost a customer for life! I usually come to Lee's for lunch being that it is fairly close to work. The sandwiches are good. My favorite is the Turkey Club. If I were to have a complaint it would be that it does take a little while to get your food. When they first opened it was super chaotic and every cashier needed help from the manager when taking orders. Worst Customer service given by the manager! They messed up on my sandwhiches 3 different times. I always ask for my sandwhich to have jalapenos and mayo. All three times I got ONE jalapeno and NO mayo. I called, complained and my name was written down by a girl that said that I was going to be taken care of when I go on Monday, which is today btw. So I show up and explain again to the manager and he tells me that if I want more jalapenos then I would need to pay 50 cents more. I don't understand why I would need to pay 50 cents for jalapenos when the #6 sandwhich is supposed to come with them already. Also the 10" baguette #6 sandwhich should come with more than just one jalapeno in it if that's how the sandwhich advertises. Any way he tells me that he'll take care of it then tells me that I still need to pay for my sandwhich. So yes i paid, but it's the last time I will ever go there!
