Ive tried Lee's in Las Vegas. First time here in phoenix. 2pm on a Thursday was empty. Restaurant looks clean. The coffee is always strong and sweet. I was a bit disappointed the actual drink didn't match the advertised drink. It was still good. Again Vietnamese coffee is strong! Sandwhiches are hit or miss. The bread is thick and crunchy. Have to order double meat if you get one. Will try next time. This place has a drive thru. Ample parking is a plus. read more

Came here to this location for the first time. They were out of bread for a sandwich shop which is just weird. So I ordered coffee and asked for light ice. There is SO MUCH ice and the cup was 2/3 full. He did say the cup wouldn't be full because of the lack of ice, and that's fine. But if 2/3 of the cup is still ice and it's only 2/3 full, then I paid $5.99 for what? A shot glass of coffee? 2 stars for cleanliness and staff friendliness though? To be honest I was really excited to try this place for the first time but after this experience I had it doesn't really seem like worth the drive anymore I think it's cool for the one time but my hubs and I ordered a simple brekky sandwich and a tea and coffee but they messed up the coffee and added the syrup to mine. He was fine with his but I just wanted mine adjusted since it was overly sweet and I think they added caffeine to it which I didn't want due to me being pregnant and tryna limit my intake. I love supporting businesses in my neighborhood. I love BREAD, so when I learned that they have baguettes and croissants, I frequent here quite often for these, the delicious smoothies and the sandwiches too. But the one thing that bothers me is that when I go right after opening time, they never have any croissants available. They always say that they won't be ready for another 30-40 minutes!!! I have been here a few times and every time that ordered a Thai tea it has been terrible. The Thai tea always looks like it has curdled milk or pieces of white particles floating around and all over the sides of the cup as you can see in the picture I've posted. I called the restaurant to let them know that my drink was filled with these particles and was told that's the way it is and that there is nothing they can do about it. The young man "Diego" is the name he gave was rude and did not care. When asked if I could speak with the manager I was told there was no manager available and would not return till 2 weeks. I went there the other day and bought a 10" Baguette Roast beef w/Extra meat and a Ham & Turkey croissant ($26 bucks). Got home and I got a BLT croissant instead of the Ham & Turkey croissant. Okay, it was good nevertheless. I bragged all day the next day to a buddy of mine on how good it was. I talked him into going there that evening. Lee's is by our house and we have been missing out! The service was super friendly and they have so many choices of sandwiches to choose from. They also have baked goods and hot foods as well! We got a turkey sandwich on croissant and turkey on their baguette. We also picked up an almond croissant and coconut raisin croissant to go. The sandwiches were freshly made and the croissant and baguette were chewy and not hard. There was plenty of meat and veggies as well. They also served pickles and sliced red onions in a ziplock baggie to load onto your sandwich. We didn't really care for the almond or coconut raisin croissants. We had a break in our baseball tournament and others were going to one of the regular sandwich places in the area, but spotting a Lee's Sandwiches in the area was the key. It took a little bit to get our order, but the two sandwiches we had tasted very fresh. We stuck with the Asian sandwiches (BBQ pork and the combo) and both were great. If you have been to a Lee's Sandwiches before, then you know what to expect. This one had a few extra items, but don't expect an almost secondary market that I have seen at Lee's Sandwich locations in a dense Asian populated area. I still love their baguette and will buy them fresh to eat with curry at home or bo kho. The workers are always friendly and the ambiance is like every other lees i been to but cleaner. I had the vegetarian bahn mi. I've never had one before this. It was DIVINE. I did wish there was more tofu on it. I now understand this sandwich traditionally has a small amount of fillings to showcase the bread (which is light, airy, delicious). Lees sandwich is just not the same as when it opened. There is no consistency. Some days the baguettes are even and plump and others it's stale and uneven. I got a pork roll sandwich and asked for extra meat and extra cilantro and I had a 1/2 inch thick piece of pork roll and no cilantro. Just slice the meat please. Texture is everything. Most of the people who work there are nice though and I usually order online and the employees at the front are quick to grab my order from the prep area. I really wish Lees sandwich Chandler AZ matched the sandwich making vibes of Lees sandwich in garden grove,ca where I usually got my fix while visiting dad and would pack a cooler with some for the trip home. I decided purchase the grab and go Thai tea in the fridge and try their Taro Green Tea and their #11 combination banh mi which comes with pork roll, pate, headcheese, jambon and pickle radish and carrots with a slice of jalapeno. My Taro Green tea was ok, I could have been just happy with my Thai Tea. My bread was kind of hard, not fresh and chewy like the ones in Houston. The protein was ok. I stopped here after shopping at LeeLee's and I'm so mad that for the longest time I didn't know there was one in this side of town. I only knew of the Chandler location. But I'm happy I know now. I got a BBQ pork banh mi sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was fresh, crispy and soft. The veggies were nice and crunchy and the meat was full of flavor. Lee's sandwiches is the world's largest bahn mi restaurant chain. Even with that there's only a few locations in Arizona and if you happen to live near one you're very lucky! I travel quite a bit for these sandwiches. The bread is cooked on site. It's super fresh and lighter than most baguettes. Maybe there's rice or lotus flour, not sure but they're great tasting and always fresh. I get the #6 BBQ pork almost every time. I get it specially prepared without the cilantro and house pickles due to food allergies. They NEVER EVER messed up an order at either location going back 20 years! The food is great and always a good price. So what's all the other stuff? If you feel intimidated but really want to try some new treats just download their app and you can scroll the whole menu with an explanation of what everything is. I had a Chinese donut last time.
