Best Pho ever!!! Come here all the time and recommend it to everyone. Ultimate comfort meal.

Decided to try this place based on some of the things we saw online and were excited to try this place out based on those things, we ended up feeling stuck on the middle of the fence when done. Calamari was undercooked as the inside was still a little tough and the dough/batter outside was not cooked enough, Fried rice was too wet/soft compared to what you expect from a crispy rice and chicken had too much curry flavoring, Shaking Beef had good flavor and seasoned well but the pieced of meat were not the same as authentic shaking beef and felt like different cuts, for the drinks, the Vietnamese coffee was ok, but the Fresh Young Coconut was very good and refreshing. We loved the service from the young boy helping out and learning as he was so kind and friendly and helpful. Ambiance felt like a mom and pop shop but not too much cultural connection in the decoration for the atmosphere. read more

Took Grams to dinner tonight at her favorite restaurant, I got my usual veggie and tofu bowl with beef broth but I decided to add steamed wontons this time. They were very soft, but the flavor of the meat inside was yummy! Service was fast and friendly as always, and it got busy super quick! Definitely a hot spot for a nice bowl of pho! read more

The fried rice here is so good, has lots of flavor and perfectly cooked. The pho was also pretty good. Wasn't the best I have had but it was definitely better than other places around the area. The staff was very nice and attentive. The Thai tea was delicious, would be back. They have ample seating inside even though the spot isn't super big it could accommodate a large party. Ok so I read the reviews and had high hopes... Maybe eating on is better? I had ordered through Yelp and went to go pick up my order on the tail end of my pickup time. I walked in and it was packed. "A good sign" I thought... The gal glanced at me, asked if I had a to go order. I said yes, she said online or phone..I said online. She disappeared into the back and I could hear her asking about an online order which made me a little nervous as she made it sound like they didn't know what the order was. When she finally came back out, she handed me a box(shoved it into my hands was more like it) and promptly walked away. No thank you, no going over my order, no checking to make sure it was my order... Nothing. I was surprised at the lack of service and customer service. Now... The food. I ordered the pho with brisket and rare steak and then another with just rare steak and 2 orders of their egg rolls. I paid extra for the large bowl and asked for extra broth but not extra noodles. So instead of 2 containers of broth, I got 3... So the extra bowl is apparently only half a broth size bigger. Ok. No big deal. The broth lacked the depth of flavor I have had at other places. Doctored it up with some sauce, jalapenos and lime, it was okay. They did give all the sides which I appreciated... Other places have missed the cilantro. Their egg rolls were good but not great. My son, who usually likes them, did not like them at all. They did provide the fish sauce for dipping but didn't include lettuce like many other places do. (Normally you wrap it in lettuce, dip it and eat it). So service 1/5 if that. I'm not sure why I tipped them, but I did. Food 3.5/5 I might try it again in restaurant...maybe I'd get a better experience? read more

Great place for ph in the Peoria area. Service was great. For starters, we got spring rolls and fried calamari. I'd skip the calamari due to the over breading. The spring rolls were average. Bookmarked Pho KC while back and finally had a chance to stop by for a meal. Tried our usual, mixed rice plate and a pho special. Pho had nice broth and meat was excellent. Only wish the broth came out hotter for the bean sprouts to soften up. The rice plate was as expected. Pho was little better. They were super busy for lunch but service was excellent. Another review from my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. I actually tried something new. I usually order the pork fried rice (which is delicious). This time I ordered the crispy noodles (Mi Xao Gion Dac Biet). AWESOME!! I definitely recommend this dish. Meat and veggies served in a crispy noodle bowl , sitting in a pool of broth. This might be my "go to" dish This place is great! They should hire some help because the lady there has to do everything from bussing tables, to take orders, cashier, and bring out food. Walking in, Pho KC is very relaxing. Almost worth visiting, just to meditate. We ordered fried rice and rare steak Pho, however we didn't get the Pho. The fried rice was great, but it would have been nice to have gotten the Pho as well. I will try again and will update the review if the service has improved. This place is SO BUSY. We arrived around 5pm on a Friday and it was almost full, but we were able to get a table for 4. By the time we finished eating the place was seated full, and there were at least 5 other people waiting for takeout. There was also just one extremely busy lady who somehow managed to handle all the orders, payments, and most of the serving. Because it was so busy we had to wait a little bit for our food, probably around 25 minutes, but it was so worth it. I had the vegan pho, which was absolutely delicious and super flavorful unlike a lot of other vegan broths I've tried. The rest of my family tried the bun bo hue, a meat pho, and a stir fry noodle dish, and loved everything as well. Like I said there was just one worker handling all the customers but she did a miraculous job and was super friendly at the same time. 10/10! read more

I ordered chicken Pho and the chicken tasted old and chewy and gross. I even asked when I called to make sure it was fresh and the person lied to me. The person also expected a tip for a call in / pick up order. His demeanor immediately changed once he realized he wasn't getting a tip for handing me a bag. I won't be ordering again. I dined here recently with a friend and was very impressed with the food. Everything was very flavorful; the soups are huge and are packed with ingredients, all in a delicious broth. The veggies that came on the side were incredibly fresh and had a good variety including cilantro, mint, basil, cabbage, and bean sprouts. I had the bún bò hué (spicy beef noodle soup) from the traditional soup menu. It had brisket, pork, and Vietnamese sausage along with veggies. The broth was delicious and just the right level of spice. I really like spicy foods and I was delighted that it met me at my level. The noodles were plentiful and had a good texture. My friend had a sweet and sour soup from their specialty menu above the register and she really enjoyed it. For an appetizer, we shared the Vietnamese crepe which was a new dish for me. It had a delightful crunchy outside, and was full of meat and had some veggies. It came with a spicy dipping sauce that was a little sweet and complimented it very well. It also came with fresh lettuce wraps and other vegetables to eat it with. This hole in the wall place was packed for good reason. The food was delicious and the servers were doing their best to keep everyone happy. This is going to be my go-to pho and Vietnamese place in the valley going forward. read more

Same with the pho I always get pho tai and this spot has one of the best broth! I come here so often they remembered my order everyone is so nice and just the vibe it's self is pleasant. The one aspect of this place that I found vastly impressive was that our waitress was able to memorize all 7 of our orders without writing anything down. Even more amazing was that she still remembered our orders when we went to pay our bills one by one. There was this guy working there wearing a grey shirt who was absolutely useless. I asked him for a glass of water while waiting for the rest of my party and he did absolutely nothing. All he did was get on his phone and play Candy Crush or something. It's funny that my other friends who frequent this place talk about this same guy as being useless at his job. They should fire him since he doesn't do any work. I ordered a beef fried rice which cost $16.89 (includes tax and tip). The whole plate of rice was above average. I would say the beef was my least favorite part of it. read more

We got a Pho Special, a rare steak Pho without green onion (my husband is allergic to green onion) and a fried rice combination. I don't know why, but whoever took our order didn't seem too happy. The food came out wrong. My husband order had green onion and my special Pho became not too special, just steak, no meatball, tendon, tripe and brisket. They fixed our order, but I still didn't see any brisket. The portions are small compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. The soup is sweet, but it's not from the meat, and I can tell it's made with powder. My husband and I was so thirsty after the meal. When I walked up to pay, the same guy was there and still unhappy. He never gave me the invoice, but he took my credit card. I asked him how much? He didn't say anything and just handed over my bill. He left as if he didn't care if I signed the bill. I didn't want to tip 'em, but the lady was nice and so I got her a 15 % tip. We won't be back for sure. We prefer better food and better customer service. read more
