Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 This Lee's sandwich has been here for while. I hadn't been here for quite sometime. It looks almost the same as day one since they opened. I usually come here for their coffee and hangout with friends at outdoor seating. Their coffee is in a bit on sweeter side so keep in mind. I believe you can customize it to add more espresso or milk.

Lee's Sandwiches is one of the original Vietnamese banh mi spots in Cali. They are always consistent and their food quality is solid. My go to order is their breakfast combo consisting of a croissant filled with bacon, ham, egg and cheese and their famous Viet iced coffee for only $9.99 I will also add a #11 Special Combination banh mi which has all the Vietnamese cold cut meats on their house baked baguette. Their current price for this sandwich is now $7.49 (I remember way back in the day it was only $4.25! Lol) Service and ambiance for all locations are friendly, efficient and quick.....never have to wait too long for your order to be ready to go!

Tried and true, never disappoints. Love their iced coffee. Drive through took some time but everything was great.

European style salami sandwich with pickled daikon/carrots (special request)

I've been going to Lee's Sandwiches for decades. My parents took me there as a child/teen. At one point it was one of the only places in town to get Vietnamese coffee. Now even with the plethora of good Vietnamese shops and banh mi sandwiches at every corner, I still stop by Lee's when I am near one. I was doing some errands in the area and had not eaten for hours. I already had an iced tea so just stopped in for a sandwich. I ended up getting the "European" style sandwiches with mayo, mustard, pickles and more of the western flavors. However, since I love the pickled daikon and carrots, they kindly swapped the pickle spear for that. It came with sliced red onions. I forgot to request the jalapeno slices. Nevertheless it was fresh and tasty and totally hit the spot.

So much nostalgia coming for good baguettes and Banh mi! The place evolved throughout the years and we stopped going when the deals for buy one get one free stopped. However, we passed by and wanted to have a taste again and check out the place. The inside looks brighter, they have lots of food items for sale, packaged foods and drinks, and a self ordering kiosk. They also had a scratcher machine inside if you're feeling lucky. The drive thru is still around, saw a few cars go through and the wait wasn't long. We ordered through the kiosk and got the combination, bbq pork sandwich, and bbq pork breadstick to try. I wanted a baguette as well but they ran out and we didn't want to wait 10 minutes. We decided to go to our destination and eat in the car before our appointment started. We ate the breadstick first, it was still warm, good amount of pate and sauce but I felt like the meat portion was a bit little. Unfortunately, the bad part of there was tiny pieces of bones... so I had to say that was very unpleasant for my teeth. The bbq pork sandwich was better, the baguette is hard as I remembered and each big bite I take the roof of my mouth gets scratched... so I can't bite down and I end up dragging cilantro meat and radishes out of the sandwich. We ate the combination sandwich later at home, it was still good, the bread is harder though. Still a great sandwich!

Just under $20 for 2 sandwichs and 1 breadstick. Wednesday night dinner looks kinda slow but the they ran out of baguettes. Maybe we just missed the rush. We got the chicken bread stick, think of olive garden breastick but twice the length. Add chicken and pate . So simple but honestly and amazing snack for the road. I ate the BBQ sandwich and saved the combo for tomorrow. Lees has the socal Vietnamese 90s vibe where the uncles buy scratchers drink coffee and hang out. (Also probably smoke cigarettes outside) Forgot to mention eating in the car is I'll advised crumbs every where

I love their banh mi and coffee but their "extra option" is expensive Here's $0.75 of cilantro get you in the photo.

Stopped in to get some lunch before heading to a garden. What a huge Lee's, they even have a drive thru. Parking was small but enough, they have indoor and outdoor seating so you can eat there which was so nice. You order on a Kiosk and they give you your food at the counter. It's really nice inside I liked how everything was set up got a turkey sandwich on a baguette and a turkey ham sandwich on a croissant. Also ordered their Iced Coffee and the Honeydew smoothie to cool off and an order of egg rolls. They made their sandwiches deliciously, the bread was crips and delicious the ingredients fresh, could use a bit less Mayo for me but really enjoyed the food here. Was a nice lunch simple easy and nice customer service. Have a beautiful day, be kind to everyone :) Aloha

Truly if I could give Lee's sandwiches 7 stars I really would‼ I love everything about their Banh Mi that I order usually, with jambon, pate, and head cheese with pickled carrots and daikon and cilantro Delish, fresh, and reasonably priced I am addicted to that place

Lee's Sandwiches is a delicious Sandwich Shop/Convenience Store/Bahn Mi/Vietnamese Food/Coffee icon. I personally love the Croissants! Picked up some for breakfast :) Of course I ordered the Turkey and Bacon Croissant. Be careful when you order because the number corresponds with Baguette or Croissant. I accidentally ordered the Baguette. The Cashier was so helpful and made my Croissant!!! Left a small tip as a gesture of my gratitude. Make sure to choose the right number. It was so delicious! They have pickles, red onions, and mustard on the side. It has Mayo inside as well. They also have a drive through for added convenience. Unfortunately, I do not have pictures of their Croissant Sandwich as I ate the entire things in one sitting. I tried the chicken pate chaud, it was not bad. But that Croissant is really my favorite thing :)

Background On Visit: Just recently, I rediscovered Lee's Sandwiches. For the longest, I would get sandwiches from Mr. Baguette. Lee's Rewards App Promo: Join their rewards and get any size coffee and a baguette for free. Restroom: They're available. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Visitation: Been to this location roughly about 3 or 4 times. Located on the NW corner of Valley and Muscatel Ave.. Parking can be found in their lot in the back or you can park on Muscatel Ave. or along Valley. Believe it or not, but this place many moons ago (childhood) use to be my favorite noodle shop of called Silver House (Teochew Food)! Ambiance/Decor: Neat decor with modern furnishings. Not a lot of seats inside or outside (Most of the time I see folks that like to drink coffee and smoke outside). They also have a drive thru! How cool is that! Sandwich Of Choice: I've been getting the Combo C. It comes with a egg, ham, and cheese sandwich and hot coffee for $5.99. Cheaaaap! Instead of the baguette, I subbed it for a croissant. Not a fan of their baguette, because it's a bit hard. Coffee Of Choice: Depending on my mood, I either get the basic hot coffee or their world famous cafe sua da! I use to complain about the ice to coffee ratio, but it's all good. Can't really drink a lot of sugary stuff now and coffee is very strong.... so I mostly add water to dilute it. Perhaps, I'll go to costco to get the bottle ones. Might be some savings there. Lee's Sandwiches For Thought: Don't mind coming back for the $5.99 combo c deal.

    Biscoff coffee ! 10/10

This is the best coffee out there ! The biscoff is more pudding texture instead of cold foam . I am definitely going back !

Please go somewhere else because what the hell is this ??? Lol Literally 9 small pieces of meat. There are so many other better places like saigon bakery or banh mi my-tho to make your money worth it. I have to laugh or i'll get mad

Love the ice coffee but the sandwiches are pretty tasteless. Carrots and daikon are too sweet but again, no flavor. The meats are bland.

Overall, we really enjoyed the meal, everything was flavorful and satisfying. The only thing I didn't like were that the sliced beef in the bún bò huế was a bit chewy, and the chả in the soup was just okay. That's right, 5 minutes. Although I did go around 9:50AM so there wasn't a line nor another party in the dining area. Food: I woke up craving Vietnamese and this place didn't disappoint. The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. HOWEVER, neighborhood parking is plentiful and just around the corner past the Sheridan Hotel and Starbucks. Round the corner and you'll find plenty of parking throughout the day.

There's a spacious parking lot but there's rarely any spots available and will require you to wait for a free one. The interior is honestly very pretty. It's decorated with overhead chandeliers with bright lights and marble tables. When your table is ready, they also give you a tray full of chopsticks, napkins, and forks. Each table also has hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and another sauce I'm not too sure about. After we ordered, I got my pho da biet maybe 5 minutes after. The cha gios also came out a few minutes after too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's com tam was forgotten about until after I devoured my pho. We even asked them about it in the middle and it was checked on but we weren't updated and thought they had went ahead and cancelled it but it still came out. No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!

Baked egg was good but not amazing, seemed like it missing shredded wood ear mushroom. Che Ba Mau by far hands down the worst I've had. Red bean wasn't soft, outer shell/skin was still pretty tough. Not much mung bean either after stirring it literally for about 4 seconds the mung bean basically disintegrated into the liquid. The liquid.. watered down skim milk, not a trace of coconut flavor anywhere. I didn't know you can mess up Che Ba Mau until I had it from here.

I ordered egg rolls and the Pho Dac Biet. The egg rolls came out first. Fresh from the fryer with lettuce, herbs and the nuoc mam/fish sauce. I ended up fishing that on my own (first meal of the day haha). I was wondering where my pho was. I flagged down the server and he seemingly forgot. He rushed to the kitchen to get that going and it came out within a few minutes. Broth check first. It was light and had flavor. Didn't need to add hot sauce or hoisin sauce. Dressed up the pho with the herbs and went at it. Finished that as well. Pretty extensive menu. Fresh food. Overall, a nice place to grab some Vietnamese food.
