Mr Baguette has 4 locations now! This one in Rosemead, Monterey Park, El Monte, and Westminster. This one has a Lee's Sandwiches across the street too. I stopped by for lunch, and it wasn't crowded at all. It seemed empty because there was a lot of space and empty tables. Half of the bakery case was empty too. I got the cold cut combo with #1 sandwich and iced milk coffee for $12.50. They called my number literally within one minute. Super fast when they're not busy. Sandwich was good. Baguette was crunchy and ofc ripped off the roof of my mouth. Iced coffee was bold, thick, and colored darker brown than I expected. I'd come back, but first I want to try other banh mi spots. The price seems a bit high. Parking: private lot behind the building. Sign says limited one hour. Credit card/tap accepted! No bathroom that I saw

The original location.... It does a good business. The Best Buy is always the simple baguette. Still only for $2.00. The other best deal here is the Set A. Three mini sandwich for about $9.99. I ordered the ham and egg, the chicken and the turkey veggie. Too much foods to eat in one meal. I was sandwiches all day yesterday. I don't mind because they were good. Ray out!

The bread was pretty hard and small (diameter wise), but it's not terrible at all, sandwich was pretty long. It really depends how you like the bread and its use. Obviously, this is better eaten day of. Banh mi was decent. I don't hate it. Loved the pate in the sandwich. I do know some family member who loves this type of bread over the fluffy soft bread, so I'd recommend this for anyone who likes a more crunchy bread. I didn't realize how long the baguette was but that was fine. I needed some for Vietnamese beef stew at home. If you make Vietnamese curry or beef stew at home and need bread, this bread would soak up the flavor really well. Don't leave the bread for more than 2 days or it will actually become hard. Food aside, there were quite a bit of people coming in and the place felt pretty chill. Would I come again? Sure, I'd go back.

There's a few things I love about this place that just makes it stand out: 1. They have special meal combos or promos going on one after the other, AND they provide an end date for those promos. So you let people know in advance when it goes on until. I have seen places where they only say limited time and I don't like it. Like what if I drive all the way there and they say no more? So THANK YOU MR BAGUETTE or whoever that came up with this idea of not only having promos but stating when they end and have a set date!! And the promo usually last quite a good amount of time which I like, so most people have the chance and time to try out. 2. I love the pickled radish already in the sealed bag. The only con is I noticed when I pick up my banh mi at the counter, the tip of my banh mi is touching the counter, because the bag does not fully cover the whole banh mi. I would find a way to improve that. But I love this little corner baguette shop, they put a good amount of pate and mayo and that makes the sandwich good. So pls continue to do that. I think if patio seating is brought back there might be more customers as I do know most people go to Lees across the st bc of more seating and convenience.

They make the best baguette in town. However, needs to tend to the cleanliness. The vent are so dirty.

When it comes to Vietnamese sandwiches (bánh mì), Mr. Baguette is easily my favorite spot in the SGV. Their bread is always fresh and consistently delicious, which makes all the difference. The coffee is surprisingly good too--worth grabbing if you need a caffeine boost. Lines are usually manageable, but ordering online is the best way to skip any wait. The space inside is roomy and comfortable as well. Highly recommend!

Can't go wrong with the Baguettes here. Three kinds: Regular, Soft, Sesame.

Not my first choice for banh mi sandwiches, but I like Mr. Baguette BETTER then LEE SANDWICHES down the street. I got a grilled pork banh mi for my hubby and he enjoyed it; I had a bite and wasn't impressed. Mine was the banh mi with Vietnamese cold cuts and basically the overall taste was bland, dry, very skimpy on the pate. Missing the mayo, Maggi seasoning, and SALT! They do have good baguettes here - 3 different kinds: regular, soft, sesame. This place isn't stellar, but it does take care of the banh mi craving - kind of. CASH/CREDIT accepted Parking available in private lot.

They have a special combo for $10. Choose one of the 4 breakfast sandwiches and one drink (including the $6 iced coffee, fresh OJ...) fast service and fairly quick sandwich build. The egg was fried fresh upon order. Easy parking, fresh ambiance, open area. Next time will get the meatloaf and egg (which my gf says comes with pate) instead of just pate and egg. And the coffee is always a must, strong and not too sweet.

Place is a little run down. Like it's past its prime - but it now has some charm in the sense that all the locals gents are here having a spirited conversation. The service was quick accents a side. The food quality is as good as ever. Really did t know what I wanted to for lunch today. Great that I drove by and decided to stop. Great baguette!

Is this business dog friendly? Can I bring my dog in the store?

To follow food health guidelines, we would prefer customers to leave their pets outside or in the car with the windows down and ample air flow. Cheers!

Why aren't you on Postmates anymore? :(

Hello Vivian. Thank you for the inquiry. It is more of an admin/back office reason. We made the difficult choice to utilize only one food delivery app (DoorDash) because as a merchant, none of apps have a UI simple enough to do accurate inventory…

What is the cost of a regular 12 inch? They don't state it on menu.

Baguette sandwiches only come in the 12 in size. The price listed is for 12 in

This plaza has gotten a lot more popular in the recent few years, which made the parking lot very challenging, given how small the parking lot. But worth it for visiting an excellent authentic Vietnamese restaurant such as this establishment. The restaurant itself is cozy. A lot of open ventilations. Floor to ceiling glass window for wall that opens up for air and breeze, which honestly makes dining in quite more enjoyable. Something I don't know how many people realize. It's busy enough to be lively, but not too crazy enough for a long wait. At least not personally every time. Hats off to the chef, owner, and the staffs for making this business fun and enjoyable. I don't know the name of the owner, who I believe goes around and checks on the customers every time I visit. Also, another staff, Marie, who always serves my friends and I, is one amazing person! Very engaging and fun to interact with! One of the best employee (sorry if you are actually one of the managers) I ever met. I actually don't need to say anything much about the food because everything I've tried was great! You can't go wrong with anything at this place. Around San Gabriel or even the greater area, this place has been my top favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the recent years, and counting!

The broth is perfectly seasoned and really ties the whole bowl together. I always ask to skip the blood cubes and opt for extra pig's feet instead, which they handle perfectly. That's right, 5 minutes. Although I did go around 9:50AM so there wasn't a line nor another party in the dining area. Food: I woke up craving Vietnamese and this place didn't disappoint. The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. HOWEVER, neighborhood parking is plentiful and just around the corner past the Sheridan Hotel and Starbucks. Round the corner and you'll find plenty of parking throughout the day.

I came by on a Friday at 7pm for a dinner (weekend before Mother's Day) and was able to get seated in 15 minutes. They have a Yelp waitlist but you must go in person to join the waitlist. There's a spacious parking lot but there's rarely any spots available and will require you to wait for a free one. The interior is honestly very pretty. It's decorated with overhead chandeliers with bright lights and marble tables. When your table is ready, they also give you a tray full of chopsticks, napkins, and forks. Each table also has hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and another sauce I'm not too sure about. After we ordered, I got my pho da biet maybe 5 minutes after. The cha gios also came out a few minutes after too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's com tam was forgotten about until after I devoured my pho. We even asked them about it in the middle and it was checked on but we weren't updated and thought they had went ahead and cancelled it but it still came out. No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!

The sever and staff were all so friendly and attentive and service was quick. They have table service but similar to Denny's, they bring you the bill and you pay at the register once you're finished. We originally stopped by with a craving for the grilled shrimp, which did not disappoint, but left with a new favorite overall place to add to the regular list. To note, I found street parking right in front fairly easily, but I think there was a small parking lot on the side as well.

I've only dined in a few times because it's always crowded and usually has a long wait, so I typically order my food to go. I enjoy both the combination pho and the chicken pho. The broth is rich and flavorful, and their egg rolls are also very good. On my last visit, I ordered a rice plate with pork chop, egg rolls, and shrimp paste. The dish was tasty. The pork chop was well seasoned and tender. They included two egg rolls and two pieces of shrimp paste, which I thought was generous. I just wish the pork chop portion had been a little larger. The rice was also delicious and had a buttery flavor. The meal was enough for two people to share. Prices are a bit higher compared to other pho restaurants, but the food quality is consistently good. Customer service was great. I placed my order online, and it was ready when I arrived.
