During high inflation times, of course there's good and bad here. Lee's Supermarket is still packed with customers. Busy vibes. Narrow aisles. Security guards are still onsite and cashiers are still hardworking employees. Sandwich place inside is pricey these days, but they have good variety of selections. They definitely have everything you need for cooking good Asian/Chinese/Vietnamese foods. Sauces are still affordable, but wow, dessert ingredients are especially expensive here. Snack prices have gone up as well. Meat prices are still good. Overall, I still think it's a pretty expensive grocery store nowadays. I can easily find similar items elsewhere for $0.50-$1.00 cheaper. I came here to pick up groceries to make Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches, vermicelli salads, and spring/summer rolls at home. Satisfying. I found what I needed. The pre-made carrots and radishes are available. $7-$7.50 is good enough. Lettuce, mint leaves, regular cucumbers, Persian cucumbers, pork rinds, vermicelli, etc., everything is in stock. Spring onions/scallions are so fresh and cheap at $0.99 for 4-bunches. Sauce selections and soup stocks/soup base products are generous here. Noodle items are fully stocked too. Not bad for my grocery shopping list. I usually come here knowing exactly what I want to buy in advance. If you're itching to make some very good Vietnamese foods at home, this is still a good option on Senter Rd. in San Jose. Just know that grocery prices have noticeably gone up these days.

Vietnamese coffee was refreshing. Good customer service. Plenty of parking, however, the spaces are tight and people do not know how to park. The area is congested overall.

Bad quality. Three days and turned bad. I have to get another pair before Tet New Year

4 to round up because staff were working tirelessly to keep up w/ the Lunar New Year activities. Lines were long, the customers were impatient and angry, and the aisles were cramped. Two people w/ carts cannot fit in an aisle. The parking lot is horrendous, but the gentleman responsible for bringing the carts in and turning away people carrying a backpack was professional and very sweet. I forgot to buy keo theo leo for Ong Tao. I also had to buy everything on my list as I invited my family over for pre-Tet dinner the next day. I came around 9 and it was already a madhouse. Plenty of goods for tet.. I was surprised to see the small banh chung available. I even bought a large pot of chrysanthemums to ring in the new year. I would not return to this place because it's so cramped, but service was great. I was surprised to see disgruntled customers. I did not want to wait in line for more than 20 minutes myself but it's the new year, so I refrained from acting out my impatience and frustrations. It was raining and I even pushed the cart to the store instead of leaving it unattended in the parking lot.

I only come here for the Vietnamese iced coffee and it's one of the best in town. That is all.

Please be aware shoppers! June 7th, 2025 around 11am-12pm. Mom and I went to Lee's Supermarket to buy some of our usual items and didn't take notice of anything because we shopped here multiple times. When we checked the receipt again, we noticed something odd about the items. 24 bottles of guava juice for $22.99. We were charged $22.99 for something we did not buy. We immediately drove back and talked to the cashier about it. She admitted that we didn't buy guava juice and then went to refund our money without asking for proof, something we expected her to ask as it would be customary to do so. When my mom asked how did this happened, cashier responded that the barcode of the the items we purchased was mistaken for the guava juice. For what item is it when all our items were accounted for in the receipt except that guava juice? Cashier barely mumbled an audible sorry when she gave us back the money and said it while facing away from us. It's quite upsetting how this simple mistake can happen when they have hired a security guard to mandatory "check our receipts."

Lee's Supermarket replaced my childhood grocery store Senter Supermarket and surprised me with what a supermarket could look like. I always knew Lee's Sandwiches to be a common chain deli, so I was fascinated to see it become a large supermarket like this. It gets very busy, so expect to master your shopping cart driving skills here to maneuver around everyone and everything. That's if you manage to find a parking lot outside, which is available if you can safely fit into the tight spaces and through the small lanes. They accept EBT! The food and aisles are packed with as much variety as they can fit. The produce is generally fairly fresh, though it doesn't feel super hygienic and. They do constantly bring out more things, and my parents are more often than not pleased with the sweetness of their fruit. Their deli runs along the far right wall, and they regularly announce on the overhead what they are selling that day. Overall, Lee's Supermarket is an adventure of a grocery store to experience. I'll come back when I'm not driving!

Oh my god. I just found this nasty chunk inside the 50 lb rice bag I bought from Lee's. The brand was Ba Co Gai. I am so disgusted right now and would like to dump this entire bag in the trash. How does the market store their rice for it to get like this?! Gross. Ugh. No more rice from Lee's for me. It's gonna be awhile before I shop there for groceries.

Hello everyone. On the afternoon of November 11, I had to go to San Jose, so I stopped by Lee Market on Senter Street to buy some meat. I got home quite late, so I put it in the refrigerator. Early the next morning, before going to the gym, I took the meat out to soak. I usually soak the meat for 20-30 minutes to remove dirt, then wash it thoroughly and blanch it in boiling water before cooking. After coming home from the gym, I looked at the bowl of meat and my hands and feet were weak (everyone see the video below). At first, I thought about throwing it away because I thought it was a bit boring to go from San Francisco to San Jose. But then I decided to go and tell them to cancel the shipment. When I got there, I told the security guard I wanted to see the manager. They directed me to counter 10 to meet the cashier. After I showed her the meat, she ran away. Looking for someone to report it to. While I was waiting, a lady (probably working in the ready-to-eat food area) ran out and asked, "What's going on?" I showed her the video, she glanced at it and said it must be something that wasn't an icon because she sells meat every day. As she said that, she left without giving me time to react. Her attitude seemed to not believe that the meat had a problem. Even though they returned my money later, the important thing is that I wanted them to know that there was a problem with that batch of meat so they could notify anyone who missed the season not to use it (I know this area is a bit difficult) and destroy that batch, but after they resolved to pay me, I don't think they will destroy it. I posted it for everyone who bought meat that day to throw it away and not eat it. I'm not trying to expose the market, I just want to inform everyone to be careful when buying meat there. And the more I think about it, the more I dislike the woman who works in the cooked food area with words like that, it's unlikely she will destroy it if you encounter it, so everyone should be careful when buying processed food.

Who knew Lee's had their very own supermarket??!! I sure didn't!! I stumbled across this market while I was shopping in the adjacent lot for Lunar New Year supplies and I just had to stop by. Lee's Supermarket is HUGE to say the very least, equipped with its very own Lee's Sandwich hot deli inside!!! Hot bread is baked throughout the day and the rotating dough machine is sure to keep you occupied for a couple of minutes. Lmao. While the aisles and shelves are well stocked, the produce department seems to be organized, & the meat department is flooded with patrons, the issue lies within the exotic fruits they have for sale. A good amount of what was left on the sales floor was atrocious. Some fruit was on the verge of going bad and certain items shouldn't be sold at all. Cashiers work like molasses and the lines just continue to build and build. I assumed the traffic was due to CNY but after speaking to my mom, she confirmed the snails pace is expected and unavoidable whenever you come here. Customer service isn't one of it's strong suits so don't come here expecting too much. Lmao. 3 stars. I'd come back if I were in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way.

How much is live crab today? Is it still on sale $5.99?

I think the place is much better now compared to when it was the Marina grocery store in past years. Japanese products are showing up more and things are more positive here. Mega Mart's marketed as a more premium store, but it does its best when they're running sales. Price between the two are pretty neck and neck. You'll spend anywhere from $70-$200 per trip cuz the small things do add up. They used to have prepped food marked off anywhere from 30-70% off in the final and early hours of the day. Now, it's an inconsistent luck of the draw. However, I've never had an issue with food quality with anything I've purchased whether it be prepped food or raw ingredients. 4/5, solid store. Honestly, it didn't feel like a newly remodeled store. It felt more like they just put up a new sign outside. They might as well have had a banner that said "under new management." Lee's is known for their great sandwiches, so I expected more of a café-style setup where you could browse a variety of sandwiches and maybe sit down to eat. Instead, there's no seating area and the menu is just a large LCD screen listing sandwich names and prices with no photos. The store itself feels cramped, with most of the space dedicated to shelves rather than any place to relax or enjoy food. I was hoping for something closer to a Whole Foods style experience where you could grab a sandwich, a drink, and maybe meet friends. Instead, it feels like a typical Asian market without much innovation. The one cool touch was that every checkout lane had fresh baked baguettes ready to go. That and my sandwich was delicious but instead of eating it right than and there I had to drive home in traffic and eat it cold. I just love eating em' freshly made and the bread right out of the oven. For sandwiches, I'll probably stick to the regular Lee's Sandwich locations nearby.

This is actually my 'preferred' Asian grocery for my area...now. The produce department is significantly better/fresher than when it was Marina. Back in the Marina days, the produce were borderline sketchy, cheap yes, but if you found something, you better use/eat it within a few days, or else it may rot on you. Not here, most choices now seem fresher and sturdier. And still quite cheap, especially if there is a sale. 80% of my haul here is from this produce area to stock my kitchen for the week of a vegetable/fruit rich diet/habbit. I'm loving it! The Seafood area still seems quite the same. Marina was not bad in this department and Hashi is maintaining the choices and quality. I'll usually get something from the fresh seafood case as well. But if I want something more exotic or more premium then I'll have to go to another city like New Sang Chong in San Leandro or HMart in the south bay. The Meat section seems the same, maybe a tad cleaner in processing than when it was Marina. Things seem more cleanly cut and stacked. And the bulk meat you get by the pound behind the case are pretty darn inexpensive, especially for pork and chicken. If making a big family style dish I'll go here over Lucky's or Safeway most times. Pork Spareribs for $3/lb, boneless skinless chicken breast for $2/lb on special, and $3/lb for ground beef, ka mon brah, just can't beat those!
