Ok, so I was here for their 6th year anniversary celebration, it was a whole vibe. So not only is the place pretty but it was festive. Although it seems they have a dj there weekly so I suspect it gets festive here often. Oh and they have happy hour everyday (which looks pretty good). But back to last night's dining experience... We ordered the Greek dips (3) all were tasty. They came with warm pita bread. Yum! For entrees, our table had the tuna salad (dressing was refreshing and perfectly flavorful) , the scallops (i didn't try them bc I don't eat scallops but my friend was happy with them) and I had the sea bass. It was perfect. Light & tasty & tender. Mmm, I plan to go back to have it again soon. Real soon! Although the cocktail menu was inviting, we ordered a bottle of Prosecco. And then another. The space is thoughtfully designed, with stylish indoor and outdoor seating that clearly caters to a well-heeled, see-and-be-seen crowd. It's the kind of room that makes you want to linger over a long dinner. Service, however, didn't match the setting. After we were seated, it took quite a while for our server (Dimitrios C.) to appear--so long that others were looking for him, too. When he finally arrived and I mentioned we'd been waiting, his reply--"Well, I'm here now"--wasn't the right tone. Courses then arrived out of sync: my octopus starter came fairly quickly, but my wife's sushi was delayed significantly. The explanation given--a new chef--doesn't really excuse the pacing. The kitchen, to its credit, delivered where it counts. My octopus was tender and flavorful, and the pork shank was excellent--rich and fall-off-the-bone. My wife enjoyed her sushi and the Bronzino as part of the fixed-price dinner; both were fresh and well prepared. Bottom line: Lefkes nails ambiance and turns out very good food, but the service on our visit felt inattentive and defensive. With better pacing and a more gracious approach at the table, this would be an easy 4-5 star experience. I'd return for the dishes--hoping the front of house catches up to the kitchen. read more

4 solid stars for a rainy, stormy Saturday night. We came here for a birthday party and had reservations and 730pm, got seated at 820pm. We requested indoors but got offered the tent which was a big no from us, and 2 minutes later we were led to a table by the bar. * Apps: all were great- fried feta with honey and sesame seeds (great), broiled octopus ( a bit overdone but edible) , Greek salad, and the crudo ( orange and yuzu sauce was amazing), spicy crab salad was generous and good. * Mains: we enjoyed all our main dishes! Scallops were seared and cooked to perfection served on a bed of polenta. Sea bass was flaky and fresh, simply fried and served with salmon. We also had their sushi which was generous in portion but also fresh and had different flavors. I was skeptical ordering sushi from a Greek resto but I would recommend these two. *sides: truffle fries, shiitake mushrooms, lemon potatoes are good accompaniments. *drinks: we all got their sunset cocktail which was AMAZING. We had 8 of these and their green tea shots as well. Our servers were attentive despite the atmosphere turning into a party/club setting and we weren't rushed at all to leave - of course we were ordering throughout the night. We were there for 3.5 hours enjoying the atmosphere and food. Ambience on a Saturday night from 9pm- 130am was fun and crazy, no dance floor but there was on/off dancing and patrons ended up just taking over the floors and standing just dancing. Very mixed thoughts about this restaurant. The ambiance is great, bright and makes you feel like you are in Greece. Food was decent - only had the calamari which was great and sushi. If I went back I likely would order off the main menu instead of sushi - you can get better sushi somewhere different. Service - TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. I walked in and there were three people standing at the hostess stand. Not a single one acknowledged me, said hi - NOTHING. And this was at 4:45pm, there was no one in the restaurant so they weren't busy! Then sat at the bar and ended up eating dinner there. The bartender was completely terrible. Never checked in on us. I would have likely had another drink if she did, so restaurant lost money with her terrible service. Then she got my sushi order wrong (fine, mistakes happen). It somehow took 45 minutes for the correct roll to come out to me. At that point my friend who I was dining with now had her roll sitting in front of her (and the polite person she is!) untouched for 45 mins?! Completely unacceptable for sushi. read more

We had a 8:45 reservation on a Saturday night for 6 people and we were seated at 10:05pm ... how is this okay? What is the point of making a reservation only to be told by the manager "reservations are not guaranteed" ... excuse me? Then he offers to sit us outside in the tent- absolutely not. We were told they were "cleaning the table" twice. An hour and 20 minutes later we were finally seated. No apology. No drinks to compensate . Nothing. The place was packed. We were 6 women sitting at what felt like a cocktail table where only 1 dish fit at the center. We ordered the zuchinni chips, tuna tartare, octopus, sushi (firecracker) was my fav and crudo. The food was delicious. The dj started playing music at 10pm. I had a spicy margarita- so good and strong. The restaurant quickly became a party and a scene out of a movie. Napkins tossed in the air and confetti shooters coming down from the second floor. This restaurant is def an experience. Definitely make sure your seated in main dining area, not the tent and not upstairs. Our server was prompt and on point except he didn't crack a smile and looked annoyed. They need to come up with a new system on how they handle incoming parties and reservations. People were hounding the hostess stand there was literally no where to go. I'll start with saying the food was pretty good but definitely $$$$, on the highest end of prices for everything. My favorite that i would order again is the Brussel sprouts, perfectly prepared. Now for the service, i have to say was very poor. It took a long time to actually get seated with reservations, and front desk people looked like they were just phone answers. Also never got water refill and after we were done eating they took an hour to bring dessert. The ambiance was very interesting, they were calm all night and at around 10:15 the real party music started playing, right when we were leaving. Also was told there was a napkin shower to be done at 9:30 but it never happened so disappointed with that. This is not the first time that I have been to Lefkes but this experience was definitely different from the first. I came here for dinner with two of my girlfriends and we sat right by the bar and wine room; which is prime spot for people to hang out as they wait for their table. As the night went on, it got more and more packed in that little area. To compare to the first time I came, I sat further into the restaurant, past the DJ booth, near the fish on ice display. I preferred that area much better, as it felt less "chaotic", in all honesty. I will say that the food does NOT disappoint. This time my girlfriends and I ordered sushi and octopus for our appetizer. The sushi is SO fresh! Lefke's really knows how to do sushi, let me tell you! The octopus also was DELICIOUS! It comes warm, and was complimented with red onions and red wine vinegar; it was the perfect acidity, truly! For our entree, we split the lamb chops, lemon potatoes, asparagus and we paired it with the bone marrow butter! Between the three of us, the food left us feeling very satisfied! Lastly, we were all disappointed with how we were being rushed out. We ordered several rounds of drinks, and took our time eating the sushi and octopus. At the 2 hour mark, we were given a warning, before we even had the opportunity to order our entrees. Then we ordered our entrees, and were asked at the three hour mark to leave. So we paid the bill and then hung out by the bar to finish our drinks for a bit. On our way out we noticed that they did NOT in fact fill the table and rushed us out for nothing. That was extremely disappointing!!! Also, the last time I came, the vibe was completely different and felt like more of a party. He has an incredible knack for understanding the preferences and desires of his guests, which is why the venue excels not only with its ambiance but also its music, drinks, food, and overall entertainment. As usual, we went there to celebrate a friend's birthday, and Lefteris, being the attentive host he is, even thought about the DJ to ensure a memorable night. DJibrahim81 was absolutely amazing, and his music elevated the entire evening. Despite being thousands of miles away from our home country, the combination of this Greek restaurant and its incredible team made us feel as though we were at an entertainment venue back home. Throughout the night, DJibrahim81 played a variety of songs by different Turkish artists, leaving a lasting impression on all of us. I can't emphasize enough how Lefteris managed to enhance our night; he truly knows how to cater to his guests and make their experience unforgettable. At the end of the night, I turned to my friends and Lefteris and said, "I feel like I just walked out of a nightclub in Istanbul--I had so much fun!" Well this is my first time giving a review. I don't typically do reviews, but I felt that I needed to point some of the issues I had with this establishment. I am going to start off by saying that the food and service were great. Our waiter was very attentive and he tried to make it enjoyable. We were here on Saturday, June 14th to celebrate a birthday. I made the reservations online but they only had a table available for the outside section. I took it but was a little hesitant because with the weather we been having I didn't want to get soaked. When I got there I went to the hostess and ask would it be possible to get a table inside because it was still very wet outside. She said "No," the only tables available was outside. So I had no choice to take the table outside. I didn't like that she could have been more helpful. It tuned out that we were the only group/table seated outside the whole time (2 hour dinner). Sorry but, we felt that establishment could have been more accommodating even if we had to wait a little longer to get a table. We felt so secluded there and not part of the ambiance. Then after dinner we decided to go inside for drinks and since our waiter told us that after 10pm its when the party starts. That was another experience I was not so happy with. The bartender was very rude. We found a bar stool to sit on and order drinks and within a couple minutes the bartender came up to me and asked me to get up give another customer my seat. She said the customer is frequent visitor to the establishment. I found that as rude because I was already seated and was spending money as well. Overall like I mentioned food was great/service (dinner portion) but I felt but our group felt very disregarded and not being treated the same as other patrons. We spent just as much money as any group would have spent. Hopefully next time we visit it will be a better experience. read more

I am not one to leave reviews often, but i had a truly disappointing experience here. I had my bridal shower at Lefkes and it was held in the covered tent outside. There was another event that was supposed to be indoors however, they set up outdoors and were quite disruptive. They were revving car engines and having a loud auction outdoors with a woman on the microphone screaming (sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I'm not). My mom could barely make a speech and we couldn't hear each other during the bridals shower. My mom arrived also early for set up and was told that valet would have to take guest cars to the far lot- assuring there would be no issue. This was not the case. When guests arrived they were told they had to park in the far lot - the valet did not take the cars and at the end of the party, the valet had no idea where the cars were parked resulting in a an over 20 minute wait to leave.Those who decided not to wait had to walk in nice shoes around a chain link fence and through muddy area, to the far lot to retrieve their cars. The manager was apologetic, gave us a SLIGHT discount, and two bottles of champagne, but did not remedy the situation during the actual event. They refused to do anything about the disruption, and one manager came up to me (the bride) to discuss the situation. I mentioned that I appreciate the apology and he said "I'm not apologizing, I'm explaining what's going on." My mom wrote a note with all of this feedback to the manager asking for a thoughtful response, but has received none - maybe this will get their attention. read more

Unfortunately we attempted to have dinner and made reservations for dinner location on Saturday evening at 7:30pm. When we got there we were told to wait another 30 mins for a table. When it was time to be seated we were escorted to a room isolated from the restaurant called the "library room" which consisted of 4 tables and we were the only ones there, away from the staff, and ambiance - completely secluded from everything. When we requested to be sat with everyone else, the front desk girls reported "systems were down" and despite several empty tables on the first floor in the restaurant (where we reserved) we were told they could not accommodate the 3 ppl party for another 2 hours! The only options were the library room and outside tent in 30 degree weather ALSO isolated from everyone. Manager wasn't much helpful. Save your time and your money and go somewhere else where you actually get what you reserve. read more

Anyway, James, our server was a complete gentleman and very attentive, zipping himself in and out of the igloo countless times to ensure our comfort with outdoor heating and lighting as the evening went on and of course our cocktails and food. Highly recommend James for a great experience here. We kept it simple for Apps: Grilled Octopus and Veggie Chips w/ Tsatziki. Very good! Definitely would like to come back and try the Saganaki bites (cheese bites) or Keftadis (lamb meatballs) among other interesting choices. Dinner comprised whole Lavraki (Bronzini) butterflied, Seafood pasta, Dover Sole, and Rib Eye. Everything was very good. The Dover Sole was very thin, not a large portion - stick with their whole fish choices for something more substantial. "Berry Me" Martini, "Santorini Sunset" and another cocktail with Ouzo were all great! Lots of good choices from the bar! We enjoyed our quiet, tranquil experience outside, even more so when I went into the restaurant to use the restroom and had to make my way past a packed house of beautiful people in a controlled chaos! Absolutely fell in love with this place. Found my first fave Greek spot near my new home. Usually we go into the city and stop at our favorite midtown location but I'm extremely happy to confess that I found a spot closer to home now. I went in for lunch time and asked to order from the dinner menu. Thankfully, they allowed me to do so and I ordered more than I thought I could even eat just to try everything out and see if this could be my new spot. The staff was phenomenal. The atmosphere was very clean and perfect for an afternoon outside seating ordeal. Everything was going fabulous. The waiter even made some recommendations on what to choose and everything came out delicious. We started with the Raspberry Lemonade Mojitos. Yum. Our appetizers were the veggie chips, tuna tartare and marouli salad without feta. Everything was devoured due to how delicious it was. For entrees we ordered the branzino and scallops along with asparagus and lemon potatoes as sides. There is not one complaint about any of our food or service. We even ordered dessert to go just for tasting but haven't gotten to it yet because we were so full. Everything was delicious and I would highly recommend anyone to stop by for lunch. Came for dinner at 6:15 on a Saturday and everything was pretty good! The martini was watered down and wasn't good and the blue cheese olives are from a jar not hand stuffed so that was disappointing. The mojitos also seemed watered down which is pretty disappointing because they're definitely using Manhattan club pricing. The branzino was very moist and mostly deboned and I'll admit the sushi although VERY pricey was really good. The potatoes were good but a bit thick so starchy and there was a little too much sweetness in the octopus for me but it wasn't dry. The lamb is cooked well and the tzatziki is very good - nice fluffy pita too. Service was very friendly and attentive (just like all the other reviews note - they'll remind you that 2 hours is all you have). We moved to the bar though for drinks to check out how it changes over to a club at night. The bartenders are friendly and manager was attentive to everyone. If you don't want to be in a packed area definitely get out by 9:30pm! But seems like it could be fun just to go for the late night atmosphere as well! read more

This has one of the prettiest outdoor spaces I've been too. It was a perfect night, great temperature, nice breeze. We started with some nice cocktails Service was great. For dinner we had the Horiatiki salad and tuna tar tar. For dinner the grilled octopus appetizer and the Bronzino grilled. The salad was very good, the tuna tar tar was the best I've had in years. Tuna was so fresh with a large amount of guacamole with a simple soy, ginger dressing. The fish was great as well The Octopus was not good, very cheery, I should have said something but the tuna was so good I didn't. In fact I would have gone 5 stars if not for the octopus. Two friends and I went to the restaurant to celebrate the 86th birthday of one of them. We have gone many times before, enjoying the food and atmosphere and even had a club Christmas luncheon there with 20 people and another organization fundraiser with over 100 in attendance. I have often recommended the restaurant to others. Unfortunately the evening we dined, as I ate my Bronzino and potatoes, a roach crawled out of the fish head. I immediately called the waiter over who responded with the appropriate "that's disgusting " and took the plate away. He came back with the maitre'd who apologized and offered me a new plate. I felt nauseous at that point and politely said no thanks. He explained that since we were seated outdoors at the entrance, the roach probably fell from the ceiling or came from a plant. I didn't comment. My friends finished their meals and the 3 of us decided on a cappuccino and a slice of cake for the birthday diner. As they were brought, again the maitre'd gave the same explanation and again I chose not to comment since we were supposed to be having a celebration. Finally when the bill came my other friend felt that I shouldn't have been charged for my meal. And again the maitre'd repeated his explanation. This time I'd heard it enough and responded that roaches don't fall from ceilings or come from plants. That it came from the kitchen. He became louder denied that possibility. He then said he could swear to the fact that the roach didn't come from the kitchen. And that the cappuccinos and slice of cake were not charged and they cost more than my meal. Of course I didn't find this comparable compensation since the coffees and cake were for others. My club had planned to have our Christmas luncheon there this year but the treatment I received removed that as an option. Overall I am disappointed in the way this was handled. read more

We've been to Lefkes a few times, and each time the food has been absolutely amazing--delicious, well-prepared, and definitely a highlight of the evening. But, for the second time now, our experience was ruined by feeling rushed. After enjoying our meal, we were simply dancing and having a good time, soaking in the atmosphere. Yet, despite that, the owner came over and told us we needed to leave because the table was needed for someone else. We get it--it's a busy place, and they have to manage seating at 11:50pm. Our reservation was made for at 10pm. But we weren't lingering unnecessarily; we were enjoying the music and the vibe. Our bill was close to 500 dollars and were in the process of ordering more when we were handed the check as a signal to leave, as well as the manager coming up and just saying that he needs the table and we need to leave, It felt like we were being hurried out just when we were starting to relax and enjoy ourselves. It's really disappointing because, otherwise, we'd have loved to just continue our evening and make the most of the great food and atmosphere. This isn't the first time it's happened which is why I'm writing this review, and it's starting to overshadow what could otherwise be a fantastic experience. I hope they take the time to reconsider how they handle reservations and give guests the space to enjoy their time without feeling rushed. Sunday Brunch was good. I'll start by saying the only reason I gave 3 instead of 4 stars is based on the RUSH. The server was all about RUSHING US to order RUSHING answering our questions, etc.. The place was practically empty so there was honestly no need to rush us and constantly looking around while we are asking questions and even ordering. We had 2:30pm reservations and brunch goes until 3:30pm. The bottomless mimosas for $25 was my main focus as I wanted $25 plus in mimosas for the one hour ;-) The mimosas as made with freshly squeezed orange juice but I will say they give more juice than champagne . That was easily corrected when we asked the server to bring the orange juice on the side and just fill our glasses with champagne. Dishes came our fast (just as fast as the guy was trying to rush our order) - Lobster Roll - Salmon Benedict The fries that came with the lobster roll were freshly cut and had major 5 star potential but they were under cooked (I ate them) so they get 3 1/2 stars. The place has great light and very open space. The outside look like a complete Vibe in the spring in summer with the igloos (good for cold weather as well) & outdoor garden seating. TLDR: Terrible service, obnoxiously loud club music, cramped, good food. I will start by saying that the food is very good and definitely exceeded my expectations. Specifically, the octopus appetizer and brussel sprouts side were some of my favorites that I have had. However, the remainder of my experience was a complete let down, to the point that I will likely not return. Our reservation was for a table of 2 at 7:45 on a Saturday night, which we secured by calling the restaurant. We arrived promptly at 7:45 and walked up to the host to check in. He seemed very stressed and annoyed that we were even speaking to him. We then proceeded to wait approximately 15 minutes for someone to seat us, only to then be told that our table was outside in the tent (which was news to me). I proceeded to tell the hostess that we did not reserve a table in the tent and did not want to be seated outside. The hostess said there were no other tables available. As we were walking out the door to leave, the hostess then said she actually could seat us upstairs. We waited about another 10-15 minutes until we were brought to our table, which was a two-top taken from a larger party's table that was slapped in the middle of the room, partially blocking the servers' walking path. We were constantly being bumped into throughout the entirety of the meal. Further, we were clearly being rushed out of the restaurant. Our appetizers arrived minutes after we ordered them (clearly taken from other tables in an effort to get us out quickly), and even before our drinks from the bar arrived. Before we were even halfway through our appetizers, our main dishes were brought out to us. The preparation of the whole fish that we ordered clearly was rushed, given that I was picking fish bones out of my mouth every other bite -- we left more than half of the fish over. Albeit, the bites of the fish that I was able to get down were delicious. Then, at 9:00 on the dot, they started blasting club music to point that I couldn't hear myself think. With a large group, I think this would be fun (if you knew what to expect coming in); but for a romantic night out with my fiancée, this is not what I had in mind. In conclusion, there are a multitude of other restaurants that I would rather go to for $150 per person. I will not be coming back. read more

Parking is a nightmare. There's a line around the restaurant waiting for valet. We waited 15 minutes to get into the parking lot and give someone from valet our keys. That set a terrible tone. We walked in and were seated right away for our reservation. They put us upstairs which is away from the more "party/social" aspect downstairs. There are a lot of mixed emotions with this restaurant. I have start off by saying that the food was great, but the service my party received that night was very distasteful. Nonetheless, it was a table that were high profile athletes at the table, and a politician. The night manager was extremely rude, threw the cake on the table, along with the tab, and told us we needed to leave. Not even in Pergola in NYC would have NEVER delivered a service like this. The service was poor, and we were profiled by the manager right away. This will be the last place I come to for ANY festivities or celebrations. Thankful to the company and owners of "The Gym" that recognized who WE WERE, and brought us right upstairs! Bathrooms were filthy, like the service from the manager! This will be a place I will not invest or spend my money on. But Muhammad and Lilianna, were the best part of that night. We enjoyed a wonderful brunch after church services today. Our server, James, was completely in tune with us, taking note of my simple comment that we are together as a family before our children go back to college. He ended our meal with beautiful congratulations chocolate chip cookies with a sparkler! So special and thoughtful! Our meals were top notch, fresh ingredients with intentional plating. The eggplant rolls for appetizer were divine, a twist on eggplant rollatini but with feta... bright flavors. The specials were thoughtful in the preparation: lobster roll, lamb shank, lobster tail eggs benedict... The bloody Mary was excellent! Without the outstanding service of James, our moments at Lefkes would not have been as spectacular. His suggestions helped us to tailor our orders.
