My heart belongs to Left Coast Siesta. One of the longest running restaurants in town (30+ years), the owners are absolutely lovely. Although the menu is small, the choices are many, so we always order in person. My choice is the wet burrito with either red or Christmas (red and green) sauce. You then choose your tortilla, fillings (meat, rice, and beans) AND there are eight additional items (e.g. cheese, lettuce, tomato, sunflower seeds, etc.). The burrito is hefty and we've decided that two people can share one if you supplement your order with a side of rice and beans or chips, salsa, and guacamole. Or, you can order your own and frequently have it for dinner and a nice leftover for the following day. In the summer, I enjoyed their non-alcoholic slushees and they have one of the best decks in town to eat outside with or without your pups. Their hot sauce collection is also epic. The indoor dining area is fun and they encourage you to bring in your own carry-out bag to reduce waste. read more

Pretty efficient set-up for some fast Mexican food. Counter service...pick your vessel and let them know which, if any, from the toppings list you don't want. Pricing seemed more than fair, especially after receiving my large, stuffed taco. A note on size: our hard shelled tacos were slightly better, but the soft one was much bigger. Everything tasted good and was definitely mild in flavor. Service was friendly and our food arrived insanely fast. My only slight complaint was that my soft tortilla wasn't heated quite enough. Great burritos but you sure as hell better know what you want when you get up to the counter because there's no time to decide then based on the rapid fire questions thrown at you by none other than "The Burrito Nazi of Manzanita", even when there is no one behind you in line. The staff is generally friendly Direct observation while in line to order: The food handler sneezed into their hands while taking orders. No washing or alcohol use. I recommend sneezing into your elbow and using alcohol on your hands if you do sneeze into your hands, when you're working at a food establishment. read more

The food was bland. The server got our food mixed up (the burritos come wrapped up so it's hard to tell what is what). Ended up having to re-order the correct burrito, which they charged us for even though it was their mistake. The server then came out to deliver the burrito and got lost. A cute, small restaurant serving tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more. Decorated with interesting empty hot sauce bottles along side many other unique signs. The cashier was knowledgeable and friendly. For food, I had the wet burrito with the hot salsa. It was so good it made me cry, I swear it wasn't because the hot salsa. Solid burrito spot in Manzanita. Definitely more Americanized(olives, plain shredded pork vs carnitas or Al pastor options). I got the shredded beef "big burrito", with black beans, in a whole wheat tortilla without olives + guac. While big, it's still a manageable hand held burrito. The seasoning of the beef is unique. The closest flavor that comes to mind is birria. Either way it must be good as I inhaled the entire burrito in 5 minutes. I appreciate that they list a lot of organic ingredients on the menu. And despite being pretty busy, I had my burrito in hand in under 10 minutes. Great burrito spot as long as you aren't look for more authentic South American flavors. read more

Someone below mentions "white people trying to make Mexican food." There is no "try" at this establishment; Mexican food is made here and it's made splendidly. I ordered the big burrito with shredded beef, pinto beans, cheese, and their hot salsa. (I was warned that this salsa is really hot, and it did not disappoint!) The burrito was served quickly, and was delicious. Was it as "authentic" as the food I had at a family farm in the mountains of Guerrero? Nope. Was it as good as my favorite burritos from Southern California's San Fernando valley (where you can find a great burrito or two)? You bet. Meh... I would give this two stars, but my wife really liked her wet burrito. My big burrito was completely unremarkable and not worth the calories. I asked for light rice, light beans, light, sour cream, light cheese, and there was no rice and what appeared to be far too much beans, cheese, and sour cream? The "spicy" pork was completely flavorless. It definitely wasn't spicy, and it had no other flavors going on, and the mild salsa had a little flavor, and no kick, which is weird because when you order the hot salsa, they warn you it's very hot and my wife confirmed it is very spicy. There is nothing like a good fast-casual restaurant in a seaside town. The fare here is mostly Tex-Mex, with delicious tacos. This was also the restaurant where I first tried Jolly Rancher soda. Pretty dang good for a healthy type mex food. Its pretty much a baja fresh with some local flair. The wet burrito is what we all got, and 5 deep at a table of 6 made an epic mealtime. Their drink selection i huge, quite a few meats, but all seemed quite white washed. Personally i lile authentic when it comes to meats. Chips, pass... just some store bought, and the ones safeway makes in house is better and those arent great. These may have been them! Why mention this? Weellll they promote their awesome guac (and it is) yet they dont give you the goods to put it on. Salsa fresca was on point as well. Few good things here, and one is it seems fresh, and relatively healthy. Organic rice, beans, and some other stuff. Not glutten in the sauces, which i dont mind glutten, in the right things, but often its better without. PRO TIP : They have flavored tortillas here, so snag one for a burrito PRO TIP : you get a choice of two main items, rice and beans is an example, but if you lile meat... get two types of meat and hold the rice and beans. read more

Good food and friendly service. The burrito with rice, black beans, and all the fixings was fresh and tasty. That all the beans are vegetarian is awesome. The hot salsa has a decent kick without loosing the taste of all the other ingredients. The guacamole was also good. Still a solid 2. Against my warning, 3 hungry adults and kids voted we'd go here on our last trip. We showed up 30 min to close and placed our order. Upon placing the order my partner mentioned we were going to eat on their patio. *whispers by staff* "You can eat outside." Oh, why not. "sorry it's closed off now" Mind you our food was ready mind boggling quick so we would have finished before close. I mean, I get it. You likely just cleaned up a mess and want to get out of there. But it wasn't close yet and cleaning tables takes like 5 min. We moseyed down the road and again ate mediocre food from a place that doesn't hire folks that want your business that bad. Next time, I will fight the good fight. We won't come here again. read more

TLDR; nice folks, wide variety of hot sauce, bottled drinks, ok prices, bland food, underwhelmed. Enjoy a cold beer on the cute patio. Perfect for a warm day! You bus your own table. There's a decent bottled drink selection to choose from. Enchiladas were the most underwhelming I've had. It's not that the meat wasn't cooked to a good tenderness. It's not that it wasn't presented decently. But the flavor was lacking and it wasn't a "dish" as it was just a tortilla filled with meat then topped with sauce. That's not any enchilada I've ever had. They're always cooked through and that melds the flavors together from the sauce, softens the tortilla and the tortilla soaks up flavor from the exterior and interior ingredients. This was more like a messy boring burrito. Our group overall had a variety of items (chips, salsa, guacamole, burrito, enchiladas, quesadilla) and all were bland... everyone was bummed. To top off... There was hair... They did refund and remake this item - so props for that. Unfortunately we just didn't like the food. read more

Holy smokes! Hot buns at the beach is right! Steer away if you are looking for authentic Mexican, but stay around if you love heat & want good fresh food. We both got taco salads with tequila lime chicken, black beans, and hot salsa. She warned us hot means hot, but my bf & I were way to macho to listen. They arrived covered in a thick green salsa and sunflower seeds. (See pics.) We had carefully selected 3 hot sauces from the array to try. Hot buns at the beach, one of Dave's hot sauces, and Hot N Horny. The salsa was hot with the first bite and trust me it really only is hotter from there. We tried each of the hot sauces saying "Oh that wasn't THAT bad" after each try. (At the end we admitted we really couldn't taste anything after probably the 3rd bite.) It was soo satisfying and tear-inducing. We drove back feeling drunk because our whole bodies were warm with chiles. The next day our stomachs were pretty angry as we did a morning stroll on the beach. Soo unromantic. read more

Great food. My favorite is the burrito! Not open every day. Has take out! Has steps to get inside. Sometimes can order online, if online not available can walk in & order. I get the big burrito because I can't handle spicy foods. It is wonderful! I can usually get 3 meals out if 1 burrito! Always ck their web site to see if they are open. TLDR: Solid (huge) burrito & guac, great outdoor seating, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Clear GF menu on the counter. The menu's limited, but the customization potential of the items is infinite. I got a massive wet tequila-lime chicken burrito and chips with guac and salsa for about 12 bucks. And it's easily two-point-five meals for me. The chicken and black beans folded within were delicious. I never would've elected to add sunflower seeds myself, but I enjoyed the texture change-up. They'll put any of your ingredients on the side if requested. The chips and medium salsa were so-so, the guac was nice and limey, the hot salsa will legit make your nose run. In the end, well worth saying "Screw this stupid dairy intolerance!!" for. (Though they'll make it dairy-free for those smarter than this gal.) Great chilled-out beach town meal. read more
