Yay, I finally made it to Leftovers before I left town! And the experience and food were everything I'd hoped they'd be. My family and I stopped in here for dinner and waited for about 25 minutes before we were seated. The restaurant was buzzing and full of people so I didn't think the wait was too outrageous considering they don't take reservations. We were seated outside and our server came over and took our drink order and we ordered the brussel sprouts and the crab dip. The sprouts came out first and were alright. I probably wouldn't order them again because they were a little bland for my taste. Now, I had heard quite a bit about the crab dip so I was hyped to dig in when it came out. The dip is very cheesy and the crab flavor hits at the very end. The chips are more like pita chips and were SO GOOD that I probably could have ordered just the crab dip and been happy. I ordered the swordfish with the sweet potato crust. The sweet potato crust is apparently what they are known for which is why I opted for that specific crust over some of the other choices. The server brought out our entrees and I enjoyed my swordfish. However I did think the sweet potato crust was a little bland but I guess I should have gone for the Caribbean jerk crust instead. It just felt like my meal needed a little kick of spice or salt or something extra. The bed of greens was really a fantastic mix and I liked that the fish came with a vegetable-oriented side rather than more starches. I was eventually tempted into ordering dessert after seeing several tables with delicious pieces of pie. We ordered the Stoners Delight and OMG! It was incredible. My brother and I were supposed to split it but he tapped out early and I finished it off. It was rich, sweet and creamy and the pie crust was peanut buttery and delicious. I almost didn't come here based on the name, but was convinced by my bartender at the Courtyard hotel who is a long time local service industry professional (and very good!). I don't necessarily regret coming here because the food was great, but for the most part it's about getting people in & out to make more money (which I can appreciate - good for you!) but likely not someplace I would take my wife or certainly not recommend for a single diner. But I do now understand why it's called Leftovers Cafe (despite the official story on the website) - the portions are massive and pretty much everybody takes food home. If that's your thing, great - my wife won't eat next day fish and for a recent visit I was staying at a hotel and leaving the next day so it wasn't exactly my goal to bring home leftovers. C'est la vie. Alcoholic beverages are limited to beer & wine, and therefore there's no bar so if you're dining by yourself (or maybe if you don't have a reservation) you'll be seated at a long counter of probably 10-12 seats facing away from the dining room and "looking into" the kitchen. Well, it's a 3/4 wall with 1/2 at the bottom and 1/4 at the top but a "window" for you to look through. Not that you can see much, and in my case I had a prep cook's station immediately in front of me so I could stare straight at a dude working a couple feet in front of me or try to [sometimes awkwardly] look to one side or the other even though there wasn't really much to look at due to the setup. I gotta say, the grilled grouper sandwich was quite good with nice grilled bread, perfectly ripe and tasty tomatoes, and a fresh & perfectly cooked piece of grouper (if a bit small). The side grilled corn salad was TINY and was inexplicably served in a metal thimble where you would normally see mayo or some small amount or sauce to spread on your burger or sandwich. After seeing the massive portions all around me I just couldn't justify a full meal and waste so much food so I had a glass of [very good] wine and a sandwich with a virtually non-existent side then closed out so they could turn my seat which was their goal anyhow. The space is set up strangely, and in the front was a musician playing cover songs - fairly well - but completely disconnected from the restaurant. Nothing about the atmosphere or table setup seemed very welcoming to me but obviously some love it. Ultimately, this is located in a suburban strip mall and it's much better than other options but I definitely have no need to return here on future visits to the Abacoa/Jupiter area. We enjoyed our meal at Leftovers Cafe. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We elected to sit outside because the live music was very loud and would prevent us from having a comfortable ongoing conversation. As it turns out the only available table outside for five people was right under the outside speaker. For appetizers we started with Fried Oysters($18.25), Brussel Sprouts ($12.75),Calamari ($13.75) and a Tuna Roll. ($14.00) The brussel sprouts were tossed in a light lemon basil sauce and served with red peppers, red onions, fresh Parmesan and Gorgonzola. They were very tasty. The calamari was served with olives, pepperonicini, red onions and feta cheese. The calamari tender and fried perfectly. For entrees three of us decided on the Surf and Turf ($90.00) and the other two ordered Pad Thai ($27.75) and a Pablo Crusted Fried Oysters. ($27.75) The Pad Thai came out in a bowl that could have fed a family of four and was good. Nothing jumped out to make it special or outstanding. A friend recently moved to Jupiter so lately I've been trying many restaurants in the area and Leftover's Cafe is one of my favorites. I went with the waiter's suggestions as well from past reviews - consensus items and these two seemed to be the favorites: Sweet Potato Crusted Fish. The Tuna Basil Roll. Both were very good and lived up to the praise. The Sweet Potato Crusted entree came with a choice of four different types of fish and with the waiter's help we chose Snapper. Good recommendation because I loved it. The same for the Tuna Basil Roll - which lived up to the hype. We also chose a pasta dish and while the sauce was good the pasta was a little over-cooked. Perhaps this is a preference issue and I like my pasta al-dente. No problem because it was still good. Service was friendly and excellent, and this is one restaurant I'll trying again. read more

In a dozen of so visits - not a single one went off without some issue with food or service or both. Usually both. Food shack is amazing. Kid sister is the red headed stepchild apparently. Won't be back. Tuna Basil roll tonight? Over cooked and mushy - again. Triple tail was a skinny little piece of nothing, overcooked and dry - for $30 - again. BOTH have god awful desserts though. If you like sitting elbow to elbow, music that you have to yell to be heard, and $25-30 for a lunch, this is your place. After reading all the hype I finally gave it a try for lunch. Seating is very close, our waitress was a gem and gave us suggestions to try, menu reads as being creative but on the palate the flavors / textures were disappointing. I'll give it another try in future but at least I'm aware of the closeness to other diners and the noise level I gave 2 stars for a menu that reads creatively and for our polite and attentive server (wish I remembered her name!) read more

A favorite of ours! The food is always fantastic here. The last time we came here for a late lunch we had the tuna and basil roll, warm shrimp and cheese dip, & the habanero crusted red snapper & wahoo. They give you so much food here! We loved the dip- very cheesy and the tortilla chips tasted homemade and the wasabi sauce that comes with the tuna and basil roll really makes it. The fish here is always fresh and delicious and the sauces they taste are absolutely delicious. The restaurant is always packed and you can easily see why. The food is amazing, the service is really good and the ambiance is relaxing and chill. They also have live music on the weekends. We can't wait to come back! read more
