It is hard to find such a sport bar with live music, simple yummy finger food, tons of beer with low price anywhere nowadays. A rarity in a resort town - Ketchum / Sun Valley. I got a light draft beer, sat on the patio directly next to the live music performers. Food were delivered to my table, tasty fired chicken wings and a basket calamari. All customers were enjoying the time, waiters could call my name ( the alias I gave) which impressed me. Starbucks at my office in Washington had hard time for the same task - remember my name- no matter how many times I visited them. Really great deck and patio setup, ideal for groups and those of us who always have our dogs in tow. The money fries were tasty and the beer was good (and so cheap)! Overall, our mains weren't anything to write home about. Not necessarily a spot we'd recommend for the food, but definitely for the ambiance. read more

I enjoy the food and the service from everyone here "BUTT" the owner. While I was trying to enjoy a meal with my boyfriend, the bar was empty and yet the owner & his friend decide to back their ASSES up to where We were sitting. It ruined our experience and when I got up to leave, I had to say, "excuse me" while grabbing my purse from the other side of our seats and they did nothing so I had to force myself through to grab my things. We visit Lefty's every two years when in Ketchum/Sun Valley. Great staff and we love the great setting on the deck!

Lefty's is our go to place when in Ketchum. It definitely is our favorite place to go. We love the atmosphere hanging out with the locals and their dogs. Have always had a good experience when we visit. Last time we were in the area, we visited 2 days in a row. We thought about trying a different place, but just preferred to go to a place that we already feel comfortable in. So ride the bike path from Bellevue to Ketchum and then sit on the patio with a burger and a beer. Or, on those chilly days, sit inside and watch a game with the locals and enjoy a beer and burger....or one of their salads (with onion rings on then side). read more

Awesome dive bar with made-to-order food! I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich as you could tell upon entering a burger or sandwich was the place to go. The grilled sandwich came on a baguette with lettuce, tomato, red onion & Lefty's burger sauce - YUM! Great burger - perfectly charred and well-seasoned chicken. I love this place. The outdoor deck is awesome. Most of the server's are really nice. The monkey fries and fry sauce are among the best I've had, and so cheap. Cheap and good veggie burger. The first time I went to Lefty's was in 2005 when my dad built some condos in Ketchum. I recall after so many years thinking they had the best hamburgers I have ever tasted. I had the opportunity to return in February this year before Covid-19, and I can honestly still say they have the best hamburgers I have ever had! I ate there three times over that weekend when I came up to ski at Sun Valley. Every time I come back to Ketchum I will head straight to Lefty's. Thank you for amazing food and memories! read more

Great patio. Friendly service, and real people. The food? Disclaimer: I love "good" bar food! But...we ordered an elk burger, poppers, fries, onion rings, and a corn dog. The only item that was edible was the corn dog. Drink, enjoy the local vibe and relax and avoid disappointment by not ordering food or trying to enforce the "No dogs on patio" sign. Apparently wandering dogs licking your feet and begging for food is totally cool. I'd probably come back, drink some beers and shoot some pool on some random night. We came to town hoping to try Sawtooth Brewery Public House, which was closed due to it being July 4. We hit Lefty's instead. It was great that the patio was dog friendly, and cool that it was a locals' hangout, but the food left a lot to be desired. The water cooler for the outside guests was filled with dirty water and eventually ran dry and was never refilled. 1/2 and 1/3 burgers were ordered medium rare and came out hockey-puck style after a 30+ minute wait...onion rings were even more well done (well as in overcooked, not good). We tried the turkey veg, onion rings, side salad, beef and cheddar sandwich, and a couple beers. The food came out quickly and the server was super friendly. You can smoke on the patio. It's 2018. I shouldn't need to say more but my burger was also over cooked and the onion rings were burned. It's a shame because the patio seemed like a great place to have a beer until multiple people started smoking. They also seemed to have a weird policy allowing some dogs but not others. It should either be dog friendly or not. There shouldn't be special rules for some people. read more
