One night hubby and I were craving gyros so after looking online we thought we'd give Legacy Gyros a try. WOW! We are fairly regular patrons now. Their gyro sauce (cucumber dill?) is so yummy. My fave is Mediterranean flat bread. Covered in feta cheese. We usually call in an order then carry out. Their eating area isn't huge but it's nice. Five stars! read more

Great little find, greeted by the owner who is extremely friendly and welcoming, prompt fast service and made to order. Everything is fresh and super tasty, could use a little more meat in the gyro but no biggie. Nice clean and simply decor. I guess after reading numerous reviews, you could say I was excited to sample Legacy Gyros offerings. Apparently, our standards for Greek food must be higher based on past experiences elsewhere. We both left unimpressed with our meals. We each decided to sample the Gyro Supreme, with mine being the standard beef/lamb and my spouse the chicken. We both decided that the Greek potatoes would be another solid choice to sample based on our previous experience with this item at other Greek restaurants. We both opted for the platter which adds the choice of potato and a drink. Upon delivery of our plates, the presentation of our food looked top notch. We both had chosen to have cucumbers and tomatoes added to each gyro, and Legacy delivered on that request. The gyro due to its construction and pita size could only be consumed safely by the knife and fork method. Upon closer inspection, the biggest shortcoming of the meal was the undercooked potatoes sprinkled with only parsley that were totally white. The traditional golden colored potatoes normally infused with lemon, oregano, and butter flavors were left tasteless. Unsure if this was due to the recipe or the raw state of the vegetable and the cooking process used. In addition, I found the tzatziki sauce to be insufficient to flavor the Gyro. Unsure if the shortage on flavor was due to quantity, quality, or both. The small paper cup could have been insufficient to flavor this portion size. Due to placing your order at the counter and paying for your meal in advance, no follow up is made with the customer to insure quality control or customer satisfaction. The traditional method of inserting a fork into a potato and checking for doneness was apparently skipped. If the potatoes served on Saturday are the normal fare served at this restaurant, I would suggest dropping the item from the menu. I will never place judgement on a restaurants prices until after the meal is consumed. In this case, the value of our meals were overpriced based on the quality of the product delivered. This is now one of my new favorite lunch spots on rotation! The flavorful moist gyro meat is the show stopper but the perfect pita and fresh veggies are excellent too. The gyro meat definitely has a more savory flavor than other local greek restaurants - it's a standout for sure! I have been asking for additional gyro meat on my gyro b/c it's not as large of a portion as I'm used to but it's definitely worth it! The potatoes are also not very flavorful and pretty dry but I'm not a potato fan anyways so no concerns here - just feedback. I have yet to try the amazing looking trays of baklava they have in the counter display case b/c I think I'd get hooked and want to eat one every day - they look rich and decadent! Gyro Sandwich , Spanakopita and Babaghanoush were fantastic and very authentic flavors. Currently they have outdoor dining , curbside ordering and pick up. This local owner takes pride in his food and has safety of customers in mind by not opening indoor dining during Covid . A tasty meal every time- Definitely try the Baklava too. Went in per suggestion from a friend. Menu looks pretty solid. They have tabbouleh and dolmas, not terribly common Greek/Mediterranean fare at take-out places, so that was nice to see. I got a side order of Dolmas, and decided to try something different by getting a Gyro supreme which had carmelized onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. I understand that's not traditional gyro toppings, but even so. When I order a gyro or any sort of Greek food, I expect the unspecified "cheese" listed as apart of a gyro to be feta, NOT AMERICAN CHEESE (disgusting, belongs nowhere near anything Greek). I implore the staff to specify that on the menu so someone else doesn't make the same mistake. Other than that discrepancy, the gyro meat (separated from the "cheese" soaked pita) was delightfully seasoned, and the Greek potatoes I got as apart of the combo meal had the right amount of firmness and lemony undertones. I give the dolmas my approval as well. Love me a good stuffed grape-leaf. I'll have to return to try a regular gyro next time (seriously American cheese???? No.) read more

Slow, expensive, and small portions. I placed my order by phone at 6:10, they told me 6:35, I arrived at 6:40, and I didn't get my food until after 7. Gyros we're tiny, with very little meat especially considering the high price. Potatoes were undercooked, fries were bland. Very disappointed, will not be coming back. read more

This was the worst Mediterranean food ever. I had the Greek salad, which was essentially a plate full of head lettuce, 8 kalamata olives with pits, 3 tomatoes slices, a few pieces of onion and NO cucumbers (even tho the menu stated it came in the salad). I paid extra for gyro meat...a very skimpy quantity. My husband ordered the chicken gyro. It had a gigantic chunk of uncooked chicken with the skin attached to it among the pieces of cooked chicken meat. So gross! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

After reading all the rave reviews I was super excited to check this place out. As you can see from my two star rating, I was very disappointed. The staff was very nice and attentive. When I ordered my gyro minus the pita, the gentleman who took my order offered to sub the pita for lettuce. I really appreciated that as I've never been given that option at other places. I added feta to my gyro and ordered spanakopita. When I received my to go order, I felt like the bag was a little light in comparison to gyros I have orders from other establishments. I was very disappointed to find a small to go box (think hotdog size container) with a small amount of meat, onions that were over seasoned and a couple small tomato slices. The tzatziki was very runny and lacked flavor. The meat was fresh and had good flavor, I wish there was more of it. The spanakopita was pretty bland, I could not taste the cheese or onion in it. I paid a little over $13 for this meal and it was not worth it. I've paid less at other establishments and received way more food. I will not be returning. read more

I ventured here for the first time for quick dine in experience over lunch. I hate having this be a first but it was so darn cold in there even sitting next to the only plug in portable heater it was hard to finish my meal w out freezing my tail off. It could be a building problem too but at same point tough to dine in like that. I had the gyro supreme w Greek potatoes, lentil soup and a baklava. I'm a big fan of gyros an there in my opinion are just a few good ones in town. The soup came out first an was absolutely delicious. Then the gyro supreme. I love it when they cut an then grill the meat which is how this was done however this was incredibly greasy an literally the pita was soaked in grease not allowing me to eat that part of the meal. The Greek potatoes were not done enough an the taste was extremely bland. However the most disappointing in all of this was the baklava that so soggy at the bottom an had barely any filling; I would literally give it a 1 star. I was craving gyros and this was the closest one to my apartment. Good reviews so I thought why not try it?! It did not disappoint. I called ahead for a pickup order and told them I'd be there in 15 minutes. This was 6:00pm on a Wednesday. I got there 15 minutes later and they were pretty busy. I paid for my order and waited about 5 minutes. I probably was in the store for 10 minutes total. No big deal but the owner apologized to me because I had to wait. That was nice but I totally understand when it gets busy! I got a combination meal. Gyro, fries, and a drink. The gyro was really good and I felt full. The meat was tender and the pita was yummy! Alexander gyro was ok but not exciting. Greek potatoes were dry and sorta bland. Athenian salad was tasty. Grilled cheese on pita bread was good with two different cheeses, but could have used some zip. The staff was friendly and helpful and Greek :-). Stopped in for lunch after the failed search for thai and sushi that were still open and findable by a numerically challenged me. I love greek food, great for vegetarians in most cases, but I got the veggie gyro with fries, and it was just OK. Food seemed fresh--had green peppers, cabbage, tomato, and mushroom on it.. not really what I think of when I think of greek. NO olives. NO cucumber. Was a bit saddened by that. I just think it could have benefited from having some fresh flavors in there or some more crunch. Did have a smear of hummus on the bottom which wasn't bad. The white sauce (not tzatziki) they gave me was shockingly too strong for me. Heavy on garlic and oregano... and I usually crave garlic! Fries were just standard fries. Good food, great service, awesome Turkish coffee, and we even got free baklava. The owner is super nice and friendly. Despite reading some good reviews, I was moderately shocked at how excellent Legacy Gyros actually is. This is a fresh and high-quality take on the "average" gyro-slinging joint, with diverse meals featuring fresh ingredients and personal takes on old favorites, all under the watchful eye of a gregariously friendly owner. For a recent dinner, I went with the Alexander Gyros (which was listed on the menu as the House Special) and also sampled three selections of hummus, along with pita chips. The gyros meat was extremely moist and flavorful, as it were positioned over a bed of tomato sauce mixed with yogurt (which tasted much better than it sounds). The portion of gyro meat was large, and quite frankly just about all I could eat in one sitting. The rice included with the plate was standard fare.The soft pita bread selections also included were good. The three different selections of hummus were non-earth shattering, but all good in there own way. As an appetizer, it was a good mix of dips that could please multiple people at once. It's clear Legacy Gyros is freshly preparing meals, so the wait is perhaps a bit longer than other places with more pre-fixed dishes. As a mom and pop business, the prices are a dollar or two over a chain, but it's a good value and certainly worth the wait. read more

This place is pretty decent. The good: Meat is well seasoned and very good, the fries are very good (should have gotten greek potatoes but I'll get them next time), and the service is good. The bad: Value wise, this place does not have the biggest gyros in town and prices are a bit more here than other gyro places. Edit: I am upping this to 5 stars due to the quality of the meat. If you are wanting to have some really good Greek food, I highly recommend this place. We eat at this restaurant about once a month as it is one of our favorites. I always have the gyro platter with Greek potatoes and it is wonderful. I spoke with the owner about the meat that they use in the gyro since I was wondering why it tastes so much better than other Greek restaurants. He said that they use gyro meat with no soy filler, and I can certainly tell the difference in the taste. After our gyros, we split a piece of homemade baklava. They make it every morning, and it is the best baklava we've ever had. OMG, now I want a piece since I'm typing this! The next time I go, I going to try the Adana Kabob. The owner described it to me and it sounds great, and of course I'll have the baklava too! read more
