They have good food BUT.....My husband and I won't be back and here's why. This past Sunday we went there and there was a car show. The Classic Cars (owner Gary) took up every parking spot including the ADA spots. My husband has a placard but there were no spots available. I called today to speak to the manager about this. I was told that customers have been complaining about this since 2005, yet they continue to hire the car show people. I was told that "they" have a right to be there as well because they also have placards but I didn't see one at all! I expressed to the person that I spoke with my concern that the car show sounds more important to them than the customer and that we won't be back. read more

Tried this place a couple months ago and fell in love. I have been back several times since & I love it. Not sure why people are complaining about it or giving 1 star over the smallest things but their food is DELICIOUS!! I've yet to get the same thing and everything I've gotten has been great quality! It's a great place to take your family. The food is amazing. The chili cheese fries, turkey sandwich, the French fries it's so good haha. The price is good for the size servings they give you. But I think my favorite part is inside. It looks like a retro 60's dinner, with pictures of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and others. All the employees have friendly attitudes. What a great start to the first day of the month. My brother suggested, out of the blue, for the family to come to Legends. I have never heard of the place, but he had high remarks on the place, so I asked him "when" and "lets go". Little did I know, the next day, for brunch, we hopped in the car and there were were...in front of the famous Legends Classic Diner. Before you walk in the double doors, you see the signs of the Historic Route 66 around the entrance. Of course, if you know the history and the signifigance of ROUTE 66, you'd know that this route can take you from CA to OK. Because we're in CALIFORNIA, on the sides of the double doors say CA: ROUTE66. When you walk in, you immediately feel the vibe of the olden days. In front of you is where you order your meals and all over the diner, you see lights, street signs, decorations, picture frames, etc that brings you back to the good old days. Beach Boys, Beatles, Elvis, Lucy, Charlie Chapman, Frank Sinatra, Marylin Monroe, Betty Boop, etc. It's such a unique place. Next to the Betty Boop Figurine, stands a real juke box. The whole place is just a fresh of breath air. Colorful and if you love old fashioned food and the classic diner feeling, then this is definitely the place for you. I took lots of pictures and I will post them up as soon as I can. Food: We didn't know what we really wanted to eat because the pictures posted on their walls were just so fascinating and intersting. I ordered their Cheeseburger Combo (#2), my brother ordered the Chili Cheese Fries, and my mom ordered the Turkey Avocado Sandwich on sourdough bread. My meal came with seasoned fries and a drink. If you ask me what is good, I am unable to answer. I haven't tried their other sandwiches or burgers, I am yet able to try their floats, malts, shakes, etc. I am waiting for this upcoming week to experience Legends in the evening. Anyway, their cheeseburger tasted so much like In-N-Out's burger, but their seasoned fries were phenomnimal. I had their sweetened black tea and their sweetened green tea...I have never tasted such tea as theirs before. For the Chili Cheese Fries, the cheese is delishious and very filling. The portions were very generous. The fries can satisify three adults. As for the Turkey Avocado Sandwich on sourdough bread, I would order that any day. They give you about an inch of turkey and another inch of creamy avocados. Yummmerz! As for pricing: It's actually cheap for the portion you're given. Besides, the decor and the vibe is worth the few bucks. This is, honestly, the BEST DINER I have ever been in. I don't know if I can sit in a Dennys or IHOP again after coming here. I have been here several times over the years, Recently, my family and I came here on a Saturday night. Parking was easy since they have a large lot. They have a huge outdoor dining area on the front of the restaurant, When you step inside it is a total sensory overload. The walls are covered in posters, signs and all manner of nostalgic memorabilia. You order at a counter. They have a rather extensive menu. We opted for chicken strips, double cheeseburger, mushroom cheeseburger, hamburger and loads of fries. After a short wait, our food was delivered to our table. Everyone was satisfied with their meal. My mushroom cheeseburger was good but it was a bit messy. A bib might be a good option when eating a burger from here, The restaurant is clean and all the help are friendly read more

For the price you pay, these burgers rock. The burger are not tiny little gourmet-size burgers. You get a lot of meat and it's sooo tasty. I always order the mushroom burger with bacon. Their bacon is always crispy, just the way I like it. And the mushrooms are fresh--not out of a can. And the fries, a small can definitely be shared by 2-3 people. The vibe is perfect for lazy Sundays to grab burgers with your family and listent to oldies music. You can order shakes, ice cream and sundaes too. Went here today with my parents and it was actually really good. I got the avocado salad and shared the onion rings and all was delish. Diner.... no not really, not in the true sense of the word at all. it is really just a sandwich / burger joint, but a lot classier. Burgers are pretty good but not huge. Sandwiches, the same, pretty good, not overwhelming. Side dishes are all pretty basic and what you would expect. Only one I really think falls down a little are the Onion Rings. They are heavy coated and usually just so so. Need to move to the newer beer battered or lighter coated ones (talk to your Sysco Rep).. hahaha Anyway, if your in the mood for some decent food it is worth the stop. Better tastier burgers are close by, but you will pay more. But worth the stop. read more

My hubby and I ordered burgers. Our food was served rather quickly to my surprise. I had the Bacon Avocado cheeseburger which was deelish! Nice and juicy and full of flavor. My hubby had the mushroom bacon cheeseburger and that was very good as well. We also ordered a small serving of onion rings and chili fries. However, their definition of small is actually LARGE! Their portion sizes for these items were huge and we could not even finish them! We had so much left over. These items could have easily been shared with a larger group. Chili fries were okay as were the onion rings. I have had better chili fries at Tommy's. The strawberry banana smoothie good, but I know I have experienced better. Came here after classes because I was super hungry, and I'd been wanting to try it out. Staff was friendly. I ordered the cheeseburger and all I can say is meh. Toppings were fresh, but the burger and bun were sort of tasteless and dry. The fries, however, are bomb. Gonna try this place again and see if I can hit a better menu item. read more

I've been coming here for years; great food, real value, and very accommodating staff! I love the fish tacos, unlike other restaurants they are not breaded so you get wonderful flaky chunks of fish with tasty crema; the salsa is always well made and there is a nice variety of styles. When I have a breakfast burrito I always take a few grilled jalapeños from the salsa bar, dice them and add them to the burrito with the fresh cilantro onion mix, the combo is unbelievably good and spicy! Onion rings, zucchini fries and the fried mushrooms are all made in the traditional manner and always a great addition to a burger. If you're yin a salad, they are plentiful and filling, my favorite is the Greek salad and I often take the pita bread home to have with humus when I'm hungry again. read more

This had to be one of the worst turkey burgers I've ever eaten. It was surged coated in mayo which wasn't on the list of condiments. They prepared a new burger and served me the same fries, now cold. It also was $4.00 more than the regular burger. I will not be going back. read more

Its all just ok. When in mood for fastish type food we sometimes come here. Kids like it. Husband says burgers are not that tasty. I don't hate it but I could go without. Inside is a fun atmosphere.
