Not much to say here that others haven't said, other than, it is definitely a tourist trap, but the tourists are those in their mid-50's who want to be in their mid-20's, and think they still look like they are in their mid-20's. I went in, since our taxi driver said it was somewhere "everyone goes". he must get a lot of soccer moms and grandmas who want a good time while they visit Nashville, because this place was a hot mess! Not sure what the hype is about at all. There is a lot of drunk tourist and the drinks are over priced even for Nashville. I went there multiple nights in attempt to hear decent music and never did. Cover bands playing crap versions of crap songs. The bartenders are very good at ignoring people. The security guards or bouncers are very good at throwing random people out. I'm being sarcastic. The bouncers are a joke and are the douche bag over assertive type. Seriously there are so many better places in downtown Nashville for a good time. Try Roberts or Tootsies. Avoid this place unless you are a drunk tourist. read more

Exceptional live music and a nice staff--these are my qualifiers for Nashville bars and this one meets the test. The bartender did charge me for my club soda and lime, but he kept them coming as long as I was there. He also didn't give me a hard time about not drinking. The live music was great and the band was top notch. I think I am only giving this 4 stars because I enjoyed another bar with live music on the strip more, however this is a great place to stop while in Nashville. Legends Corner is one of the best honkey tonks on Broadway. They keep it cleaner than most of the others and it's decorated nicely. It is one of the smaller places, but it still has a decent amount of room. My favorite is to go down there for some day drinking. They still have decent bands, but the crowds are virtually non-existent. You can get in any of the honkey tonks without a cover and get a beer without waiting in line. Anyone who wants the full Nashville experience should stop at Legends Corner. read more

When we got there around 10:30 on a Saturday this place was super packed. Come to think of it it seemed pretty crowded in the daytime too. Anyway we were told to go to the side entrance the lines wasn't too bad. The band playing had a great violinist and we were all awed by her because she was definitely rocking it. It was a nice to touch to have the TV screens showing the band as well so those of us at the back had a nice view. There were a couple of bars at the back so getting drinks was not hard at all. They also have outdoor area at the back where you can take a break from the crowed and get some fresh air. read more

Great bar! We came here around 7 on a Saturday night, and there was a great band playing. They were entertaining, the lead singer had a great voice, and the drinks were a-flowing! I recommend getting the "blue" drink. NO clue what it's called, but it's strong, it's delicious, and it gets the job done!! I love this place!!!! read more

Love, love, loved it! I stopped by with my girlfriends on a Sunday night, and we had the best time. As a 30-something Nashville visitor, I felt overwhelmed by a lot of the honkeytonks with their long lines and cramped spaces. Legends was roomy, the people were friendly, and the band was awesome. I couldn't get enough of the singer's voice and she fulfilled as many requests as possible. She even dealt with a drunk heckler who was on a mission to hear "Sweet Home Alabama." I would absolutely return on my next visit. read more

Awesome dive-ish bar on Broadway! Yes, Broadway is the tourist-y strip in Nashville, but it's worth checking out, esp. if you're a tourist. (Make sure you check out the rest of the city though, too.) when you walk out of a bar after listening to country music all night and you actually start to LIKE the genre? Whoa....................... What an awesome place. And if Nashville had absolutely one place you have to put on your "must visit" place, this is it. Everytime i've gone to Nashville on a business trip, I have had to make the pilgrimage here. No trip is complete without a visit here. Drinks are very well made, and reasonable considering the fan-fare behind this locale. Funny part is I saw this place on TV and I later found out that the signature drink here is the "Honkeytonk Lemonade" or something to that sort. It looked mighty large and it looks to taste mighty wicked. I look forward to trying it next time I go. And don't get me started on the live music. Place is insane to the max. So, we took my visiting BiL downtown to play tourist. We had some time to kill before meeting the folks we were going to dine with, so we stopped in at Legends Corner. I guess it was too early in the day for waitresses, but our beertender did a pretty good job of tending bar as well as waiting tables. The beer selection wasn't very extensive, but we found something suitable to quench our thirst. My wife was pleased with the Cosmo that she got. And my beer was good and cold. Megan Ellis and her band were providing the entertainment. She's got a great voice, and we liked her a lot. I know this city is chock full of talented people looking for that one big break. My traveling party wanted to hear some country music, so we wondered into this bar on the first day. I always enjoy live music and this was no exception. The only problem I had was with the bar itself. The service was non-existent and the room was not set up to encourage sitting. We had to scrounge for chairs for our table and go to the bar to get drinks. Drinks were reasonably priced. We went back later that night after dinner and experienced the same thing. Favorite honkey tonk EVER! I love, love, love this place. It is one of the larger honkey tonks downtown with a fun mix of tourists and locals. From old to young, everyone is getting down and singing at the top of their lungs to the hits from old to new country. The band keep the audience very engaged for the evening. Jumping up and down and taking requests all night long. The ebb and flow of the mix of music was amazing. The bartenders were pretty great. Drinks are priced just like the other places. Around $6.25 for a jack and coke and $3.00 for a beer. However, it was $7.75 for a shot, so honestly, I would just stick with the mixed drinks. read more

One of our many stops on our bar crawl through downtown Nashville. We walked in, not too busy. Live music (of course) on stage. We happened to be lucky enough to get there when Buck McCoy was playing (he's a dead ringer for Tim McGraw). He was fun to watch, sang good songs and engaged the audience quite well. Service good, but had to go to the bar to order our drinks. They had the local Yazoo brew and it was cold, so another big plus! This was one of our favorites on our bar tour. was at Legends on Saturday 3/4 around midnight at the back bar having drinks with friends. There was a blonde and a brunette bartender working. They were the rudest bartenders I've ever seen. Standing around whispering and ignoring customers, when you tried to get their attention saying excuse me they just kept on talking like you didn't say anything. Told another customer they were rude because she interrupted them to order a drink. Told someone in our group that we tip like shit and we should leave. The drinks they made us weren't what we ordered and they acted put out to remake them. The brunette accused someone in our group of taking her picture. she brought security over to our table and they asked us to leave. The bartenders must've had friends at the bar and the friends kept telling them that the bartenders were drunk and shouldn't be working. We walked over to the Stage on Broadway where you get 5 star bartenders who are nice to the customers and thank you for every tip you give them. read more

Ok, I had a ball here. I'm not much for country music per se, but my group of friends just had a great time here last week. We'd been stuck in the Gaylord Opryland Hotel all week, so on our one night "off', we jumped in a cab and headed downtown. We walked around a bit to try and find somewhere we'd like, and heard some good sounds coming out of Legends. We headed in and ended up staying for hours listening to a great band, enjoying some cold beers, and (maybe just me) gawking at the bartender who resembled nothing less than a future wife for Hugh Hefner, complete with the cubic zirconia necklace spelling out "Barble". Now, I immediately feel bad about mocking Barbie, she was friendly and efficient in her job. But the fake boobs, the bleached hair, the skin tight jeans with exposed mid-section - it's all too much for us middle-aged persons fighting sagging and unwanted body hair. I'm sure I'm wrong, she is probably a graduate student studying astro-physics, but for this one evening she appeared more like an adolescent's wet dream. But, as I said, we had a really fun time there. People were dancing all night, the band was very, very good, and the beers were cold. I can' t say that I'm going to run out and buy a pick up truck and run over my dog, but at least for this one night, country music did all right by me. read more

This place was a little odd, but I liked it. It's located on a corner (hence the name), right next to Tootsie's and down the block from the Ryman. My husband and I stopped in for a few drinks on a Saturday afternoon after escaping the 24/7 bachelorette party of Tootsie's. It wasn't very crowded, which was a nice break. We were able to settle in at a table and drink some cheap Miller Lites. The entertainment when we visited was this guy named Buck McCoy. I guess you could call him a Tim McGraw impersonator? Musically, he was just ok, but he put on a decent show and was very entertaining. He also brought on this TERRIBLE Elvis impersonator... which was kinda weird, but again, entertaining. If you are on Broadway, I'd definitely check this place out. They have all sorts of country music memorabilia on the walls, which is cool. It's also a long, narrow space, so you can be all the way at the back bar and still see/hear the band. read more

On a recent cross country road trip, I had the pleasure of spending an evening on "Lower Broad" and happened into the Legends Corner Bar. It is a fantastic bar that has no-cover live music from the early evening until the early morning. The bands tend to play for tips, and have an amazing ability to play request on demand. You will be hard pressed to find better musicianship or setting for relaxing with your friends, having a friendly drink (or two!) and striking up a conversation with any of folks within earshot. As for food, it is typical bar fare..but the pizza was pretty good after a long night of honky tonk fun! read more

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars as they deserve 10!! Being from NY I'm not used to such a welcoming environment so Legends Corner is always a favorite spot to be at when I visit! This past time when I visited Legends Corner ( weekend after Thanksgiving ) my friend and I were greeted at the door by the kindest, funniest and most inviting bouncer I've come across! They only let in certain people they only want in. The bouncers will pick people out of the line they are scared of and will not let them in for whatever reason. Call it racism call it being scared of actually having to do something but it is a fear they have. As a native of Nashville to be told your friend is not allowed after going in EVERY bar on broadway is a little stupid to anyone trying to talk up their city. Because if the city is talked up and gets positive reviews the club or whatever it is that is being positively reviewed is making more money because of the positive reviews and in this case should not receive positive reviews. The best honky tonk in Nashville. I went to the Stage during the day and it was great. I wouldn't go and stand in line there at night. Tootsies is way to crowded. You can barely move. My second favorite place was Second Fiddle. Legends and Second Fiddle would be the ones I would check out. I had a blast spinning around a bunch of UofK fans. Everyone from 20-45 mainly but a few older men. I love it. The music will stay in your head forever. I am still singing "Keep your hands to yourself"! Love it! read more
