We had a team party here tonight in the sky box. 10 rowdy 10-11 yr olds and a bunch of parents. The setting was perfect, the music was good and our server/bartender wasn't or didn't appear to be frazzled by the request for separate checks. Here's where I am deducting stars. The food wasn't that great. The appetizer that had a little of everything was marginal, the mozz cheese not too good, they are these huge triangles that didn't seem cooked all the way through. Best part of the platter was the 2 fried zucchini. Ordered the chicken strip ap for my boys and they both looked at the plate and asked what is that, these were not strips, they were way too big and somewhat greasy. read more

Well what can I say? I just recently moved to the area. I am centrally located between Belmont Shore and Downtown. What a lovely location. I can ride my bike or walk. I have ridden past Legends several times. Today I decided to stop in. I was there for a Sunday night football game. This place was a little crowed due to the earlier games. I'm guessing this why service was a little slower than expected. Overall I had a pleasant time. My server was very nice; the T.V's were huge, great place to watch a game. The atmosphere was real cool and laid back. There was plenty of eye candy to watch in lieu of boring commercials. This is a good establishment, I will definitely be back. read more

I really like this place. It is a sports bar with a bunch of TVs and they have a HUGE projector screen on one of the walls. Long bar so plenty of room to sneak in and order a drink. The drinks are well made, not weak. The space is very open which includes outdoor seating. The staff is nice, and I've always had a good time when I go here. read more

This place is super cool, The amount of games they have playing at any one time is super awesome. I can come here for almost any game that would be broadcasted and its on. Food and drinks are very good as well, they aren't the strongest things in the world but they are tasty and the bar staff know hoe to make anything you ask of them. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because of the wait and the amount of people that are in this place at any one given time. It can get so crowded that you cant even make your way to the bar to get a drink. They do have wait staff but its not always easy to get their attention. I will be back and I know I will be back often, but I am going to try and avoid the crowds. read more

This place sucked today. The beer was good, that was about it. Our poor waitress was running the entire floor which seemed to be on her own. Very poor management. Tables everywhere were looking around for some sort of service. Not our servers fault at all, she had very little help. Customer service is not at the top of Legends list. I saw a "manager" walk by countless times, never asked if we or any other table needed anything or picked up our credit card to close us out. Ownership should really think about how their guests experience and resolve these issues, your guests are the ones that keep your doors open. read more

Legends is a fun spot to check out during the night time. I also went to watch an NBA game and it's pretty neat since they have a huge projector. It can get crowded at times but overall a great spot. Solid food and selection of beer is golden. The overall environment is a dark place but most bars are usually like that. It gets pretty crowded and entertaining after around 10pm I would say so fun place to check out with some friends. read more

For sports watching this bar is the best in long beach! Over a dozen big flat screens all tuned into sports channels. Wide open seating with a high ceiling give one the feel of open space. Nice place to come and watch a game, I will certainly return. read more

It seems like a lot of different experiences for this bar, but I thought it was great. I came here today, after playing a round of golf, so we were hungry to say the least. And we wanted to catch some of the football games in the afternoon. The place was PACKED! Fortunately, there was the bar, and there were a couple of booths set aside for people who wanted to eat with 4+ people, so me and my buddies got to be seated right away (it's good to go in groups). They had wall-to-wall LCDs everywhere, showing every single game that was one (even some horseracing). And the booths each have their own private TV as well. The food is pretty good for bar food and the drinks were normal priced. Our service was pretty good, with the waitress asking us if we wanted more drinks every 5-10 min or so. Just remember, it's a sports bar, so it's gonna be loud (and it should be). And it's always best to come in bigger groups. Besides, it's a hell of a lot more fun that way too. read more

This is a great place to meet for a beer and catch a ball game. Came here on a Saturday for the NBA playoffs and I have no complaints. Service was good and you can see a TV from pretty much anywhere. I don't like sports bars, but I like Legends. They had all the World Cup games on this summer, which was fantastic. I like the atmosphere earlier in the evening because people go there for dinner with their families and kids, making the place a little more welcoming and less rowdy (I've never actually seen it really rowdy, but I imagine it can get that way as the night goes on, considering the crowd on the bar side of the place in the earlier hours when I've been there). As for the food, I am a huge fan of the Dodger burger (burger with mushrooms and swiss cheese), particularly with the hand-formed patty. I always ask for a hand-formed patty when I have it, it makes it better and juicier. They do not use frozen ground beef, or frozen beef patties, their meat is fresh. Yay for fresh meat! read more

Took 15 minutes for them to take our order and then another 20 minutes to get our food. I asked if they had American cheese. The waitress said yes so I ordered an omelet with American cheese only. There was no American cheese on my omelet. What I got instead was the three cheese omelet. Not like I could send it back and spend another 45 minutes there. Went for drinks and an appetizer. Drinks were okay how could you mess up Beer and wine. We ordered calamari...big mistake. It was super chewy and worst of all burnt. It tasted like burnt flour. I have no idea why anyone drinks or eats here. I was a frequent patron of the old Legends (before the fire). What was rebuilt pales in comparison. Layout is horrible, service is pathetic, and the place seriously smells like urine (especially on the second floor). The only positive are the large tv's. I now avoid this place at all costs. Went here a couple of weekends ago with my girlfriend. We found seats on the bar and the bartender working our section helped us right away, I think she had a blonde ponytail. She was very polite and made our drinks quickly. I appreciate that, especially because some female bartenders don't give great service to female patrons (which has been my past experience and is weird). She also offered us another round before we had to track her down for it. But hey, I just wanted to leave this review and say good job, thanks for being attentive.
