    Really cute and festive

When my friends from the valley & San Francisco get together, who knows how the night's gonna go. These are our tech friends so if they want drinks, drink, we will have! Well they'll have drinks. I'll just watch. This is one of those bars that decorates with dollar bills we definitely added two dollar bills with our names on them. Here's my pet peeve with bars. There's no worse smell than Fabulosa and throw up. That's exactly what this place smells like I mean it's bound to happen. I just wish they would clean with something else.

    Cheers!

No food, so no worries there! But come for the chill ambience and a great LBC dive bar vibe! Don't miss this spot if you're a local or just visiting Belmont Shore! If you're a first timer you have to shoot the root! Kristen and Gina are rockstar bartenders but everyone on the staff is killer! Street metered parking, or you can take the Circuit here and cruise around town! Also-it's super cute and decked out for the holidays currently! Great dot to watch some sports!

Small dive bar in Belmont Shore. This place has been around for over 20 plus years. Been here a few times and service is quick. We had Patron shots and glass of Snake Bite. Good prices on drinks with friendly vibes all around. There's pool tables in the back of bar for your enjoyment. We will definitely be returning!

    Kristen: rude bartender

I usually come here but never have seen this bartender. If I could give Kristen ZERO stars I would. From the second my friend and I got here Kristen had an attitude with us. We each ordered a beer and the tab was $12 and because I'm in the service industry I believe leaving cash tips are better. So I wrote 0 on the tab and put $3 cash on the bar even though she was rude. She looked at it and said "really? that's f-ing it?" and left the cash on the bar. So we took the cash back. I then ask the bar back what her name was and he told me. She then directly comes up to me and says "what did you say to him" and I told her "we asked for your name" and she goes "my name is Kristen what is your name?" My friend and I both replied. She proceeded to talk negatively about me and my friend out loud so we could hear it to other patrons in the bar and her coworkers as well and kept giving us dirty looks as if we were the ones with the problem. I've never dealt with a bartender so incredibly mean. She just sucks and if she is ever working while I'm there again I think I will just walk out and spend my money elsewhere. I don't know what we did to deserve her hatred but my friend and I felt it the entire time and she made the experience awful.

Went here for some drinks and to play some pool. Ordered my drinks from the bartender, asked for some change and played started to play some side pocket pool. We did not come in peak time, arrived here a little after 1pm. Place was not crowded at all. Cool place to hang out. Good chill vibe. Our bartender, she was very nice. Made my wife and I feel welcomed. Only 4 stars since I did not purchase any food. I would come again.

    Shoot the Brew

Gina is the best! She makes an amazing "Shoot the Brew" which is cold brew, Jameson, and Guinness! So delicious! I love coming during the day because it's a chill vibe and the bartenders are so sweet and welcoming. This is a small dive bar so don't expect anything fancy. It's the most chill spot on 2nd.

    Shoot the root!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: A generic dive bar mostly notable for its longevity. Back in my early 20s I used to frequent this place a lot more, and sometime in the early 90s I had my first Shoot the Root, their signature drink--a shot of root beer liqueur suspended in a lowball of Coors light. My husband and I'd ducked in here for a drink on our first date 8 years ago, after dinner at BRIX across the street (RIP), and we decided to revisit on our anniversary on a whim for old time's sake. It was a pretty quiet early weeknight--there were just a few people at the bar and at the pool table in the back. Of course I had to get a Shoot the Root (same as ever, like this bar). The hubby got a Space Dust IPA on draft. We sipped our drinks and reminisced about that first date, which was pretty epic. Our bartender was cool and the drinks were pretty cheap, but aside from nostalgia there isn't much here to compel us to return anytime soon. There are plenty more bars of this ilk much closer to us that don't involve driving. Maybe we'll be back in another 8 years.

My fiancé and I were looking for a place to drink and eat before a concert and were excited to see the menu for the Auld Dubliner. We came in on a Saturday night and the place was packed! The only place with seating was in the very front of the restaurant, outside. We sat outside looking at the menu, before deciding what we wanted. There wasn't a server or water walking around, so I had gone straight to the bar and talked to the bartender. He was very sweet and tried his best to hear me. Impeccable hearing, I'd say, because it was loud in there. I ordered an IPA with fish and chips. He gave me a number, which I was grateful for to ensure they'd find me outside. I sat outside with my fiancé, and we enjoyed our time people watching. Although they were extremely busy, our food came out within 10 - 15 minutes. The fish was very good; it was crispy and flaky. Their fries were okay, and just a tad bit soggy, probably due to the temperature of the fish. My IPA was cold and good. It's your typical pub and food, but great experience to those visiting. I'll probably be back again if I happen to be back for another concert.

It was pretty much empty in the main bar area and not really full in the patio area. We didn't know what to expect on the weekend as to how busy it might be. We lucked out. Our server was great. She was very helpful when we asked about the beers on tap and offered us samplers to help make up our minds. We ended up getting the Moose Drool dark beer and just gloved it. We ordered an unusual appetizer called an Irish egg-roll. Corned beef and Swiss rolled in an egg-roll batter. These were fantastic. Really good. For our main coarse I ordered the special of swordfish wrap with steak fries. Absolutely great. My wife had the fire burger with a side of fruit. She loved it. I've seen a few negative reviews of the place but our experience was truly 5 star. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. We will absolutely be back. Well done everybody.

My son was very hungry and so he decided to trust them and ate most of the rice cup. He started feeling sick within minutes and went up a fourth time to ask them. At that point, the employee asked the cook who informed them that butter was used. My son had been dealing with health issues the last two days due to his severe allergy. He is having difficulty breathing, in addition to all the other symptoms that come from dairy allergy. It's very sad to see him in pain knowing the restaurant did not take his allergy seriously and misinformed him. To the owners and staff members please take food allergies seriously. I inner stand people make mistakes. I hope that my son's pain will cause the restaurant to change its policy to take food allergies seriously and that the next person won't suffer. I will never forget that taste that I enjoyed so much on that day. The prices for beer are actually impressively cheap. I really have no complaints on this place and I think that what they do to get people's names on the wall for drinking 70 different beers from all around the world is really cool. I might have to try it one day. Thanks to all the people at Murphy's for putting on a great St. Patrick's Day for this fan. Oh, and by the way, they make such good popcorn. We decided to order the Fish and Chips as it was recommended by the host, the Kilkenny Burger, and Irish Whiskey Steak. The fish and chips came with one very large piece of breaded fish. The burger was tasty, but had the same problem. The bottom bun became very soggy as it was dripping with extra grease. We ordered the steak medium rare, but received it rare instead. The steak was still tasty and the mashed potatoes and sauce was good and flavorful. As we were ending our lunch, a band set up outside. Both throughly enjoyed their meals. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the bread pudding. My brother LOVES bread pudding, if it's on the menu, he is ordering it. This one was terrible.
