I remember when this used to be McHart's Pizza and it was our first time here, since it changed hands. I believe the former owner of McHart's helped the new owners with their recipes after the transition. My wife and I ordered a large Bases Loaded pizza and it was very good. They didn't skimp on their toppings and the crust was very good. The crust was on the thicker side, but was really light. That allowed us to enjoy several pieces each. I'm happy to say that we enjoyed the rest of our pizza at home and that the pizza was almost as good as eating it inside the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Usually would always give this place 5 stars. It's our go to. We usually come once every 3 months or more. First time since they've opened we've picked up our pizza that was over cooked/burnt on the crust. We don't check when we pickup because we've never had this problem before. Finding more pizza spots around the area and I always feel like one just tops the other. Legends Pizza made it to my top 3 favorites! Came across this spot through Yelp. Haven't had the chance to dine in, only take out but the pizza is good. Ordered their meat lovers pizza and my basic fave, pepperoni with bacon. Generous with toppings is always nice, the bacon makes it so yummy - I'm not super crazy about bacon in general but just having it on pizza makes it soo good. After reading some of these reviews about their crust, I was thinking the same thing - it's good! Not too much dough but not super thin either. WOW!! Their pizza is good!! The crust is crunchy and had a buttery taste to it. We ordered a medium vegetarian and large combo, which came to $52. Ready in 20 minutes. When we pulled up, no customers so it was a quick in and out. Several boxes were under the heat lamp so orders were happening. The pizzas reminded us of an old pizza joint JN our old neighborhood in Santa Clara, where the Levi's Stadium is now. It was called Pizza Peddler and they used fresh ingredients. Every time I come back to Cupertino, I get this pizza with my family. Their breadsticks aren't super flavorful and I wouldn't eat them without some kind of marinara or garlic sauce. The dough they use is amazingly soft and crunchy on the bottom. And as someone who usually doesn't eat the pizza crust, I actually enjoyed the crust on this pizza. I got their half and half medium pizza with pepperoni and the creamy garlic chicken. The pizza size was perfect and there was a good amount of toppings on both halves. We dropped by Legends for a pickup order. Customer service is courteous, food isn't bad. A little overpriced, but isn't everything nowadays? For COVID safety purposes, masks are required. Since we swung by only briefly, I didn't notice much of the interior. At a glance, it seems like a typical homey pizza parlor. THE CATCH: So much tomato. This was a half-inch of diced tomato on top of the thinnest layer of cheese. Initially, I was glad (hey! It's technically healthy!), but as I chewed through the tough, bland crust, the gimmick got old quick. I couldn't really taste anything other than salt and bread, not even the sauce. Oof. We like the decor, and when we go it's never crowded, which we like. But since it's often empty, I want to drum up some business for them with this review. This review is for Legend's at Cupertino. We have been regular customers for years and it is sad that I have to post this review as their service has been going downhill. We came on a Saturday afternoon had two orders of chicken wings for which we specifically requested sauce on the side (two of us don't like the BBQ sauce). They forgot to put the sauce on the side but refused to redo it for us as we already prepaid for our pickup order online. My daughter and I don't like the BBQ sauce. Furthermore, we always eat right outside the restaurant and two separate times when I went inside to use the washroom, the staff immediately proclaimed that the toilet was not working (when my son just used the restroom when they picked up the order inside). I usually get the regular crust because two slices can fill you up. I ordered a large and I probably could've eaten the whole thing between two people. We had received a coupon in the mail (Tuesdays only, 2-topping large for $19.99 with coupon), so we decided to give Legends another shot. We called in the takeout order and mentioned the coupon. First, the employee tried to tell us the coupon had expired... clearly incorrect, as we had the unexpired coupon in hand. He said he would mark the discounted price ($19.99) on the order... but at pickup time, it was clear he hadn't. I had placed a pick up order and showed up early....thank goodness too as I had realized that a wrong order had been placed. The guys here were so totally awesome, understanding, and made everything right for me....to to be sure I was a very happy customer....and I was! As for the pizza....it was excellent! I usually base my like/dislike of the pizza on its freshness and generosity of toppings, the taste, and the firmness and crispness of the crust.......I've had really soggy, limp, and disgusting pizzas before at other places, but Legends' was just perfect....I loved the perfect layer of hot and fresh crispness at the crust..especially at the bottom.....and I was able to hold the pizza without all the layers of ingredients sliding off.
