I think I found my new favorite vegan pizza spot! I love the variety of traditional and Indian-inspired options. They have 10 vegan pizzas on the menu, so there are lots to choose from. Plus, you can pick your size from personal to jumbo, which is awesome because some places only offer large for vegans, and I just can't finish that much pizza. I wanted to try both a traditional and an Indian-style pizza, so luckily I had someone to share with today. I ordered a small Vegan Combo and a small Vegan Aloo Gobi on their site for pickup. I also picked up some potato wedges and a personal-sized Confused Desi (pictured but not reviewed since it was not for me). The person at the front was super friendly and engaging, I love service with a smile! My order was piping hot and ready to go; you could see the steam coming out of the box. The pizzas were loaded with toppings, and you can tell everything is fresh. I didn't add vegan cheese because I'm usually not a fan of any vegan cheeses, especially when melted. However, I don't think either pizza needed it; they were delicious! The sausage crumble on the Combo was tasty, but honestly, I think the bell peppers are my favorite part; they bring the perfect flavor and texture to the pizza. The Aloo Gobi was also really good. The sauce was rich and delicious, and the cauliflower had just the right amount of bite, which I love for texture. Plus, it had a nice kick of spice, which I'm all about. Tasty Pizza in Cupertino is truly fantastic. Their toppings are so tasty, and there's almost always a great amount of goodies on top. For example: The tomatoes really taste like tomatoes, the "All Meat" pizza has nice bacon bits (pretty amazing) and the combination of meat is delicious. The "Pesto Chicken" is great, but I tried the "Garlic Chicken" last week OMG, sinfully scrumptious. The "Peperoni Pizza", they are sincere when they describe it as: Peperoni, Peperoni and more Peperoni ,yup, it's loaded. As any restaurant mishaps happens; got a burned crust ones, another time the pizza wasn't hot in temperature, and one time the toppings was lacking ( this is over a couple of years, so it was simply mistakes, new employee and, stuff happens). Instead of writing about it, I went into the store, and so glad I opted to give "them" feedback, instead of ranting negatively & not going back. "Blaine", the store manager is so positive and welcoming for customer experiences, it is a joy to talk to him, and he always fixes their mistakes with a smile, I am impressed, thank you Blaine. There's a lunch special here with a personal pizza and a soda so I appreciated the worker for letting me know while I was ordering. Got their pizza to go half and half with all meat and chicken garlic. The flavors were so good, they are definitely up to something. The crust is and each slice is pretty thick. Usually I wouldn't eat the crust but the flavor of the pizza was so good I ate the crust as well. The all meat is decent, as what you would expected. But the chicken garlic side blew my mind. I first came across this place when I saw that they were participating in Cupertino's restaurant week. I wanted Indian pizza and the discount was quite generous so I decided to visit. I wouldn't say that I'm a diehard fan of Indian pizza but every once in a while, I do get a craving and am glad that there are a lot of options in the area these days to satisfy said craving. That being said, simply taking a basic pizza and slapping on Indian ingredients does NOT automatically make it good quality (I'm looking at you Curry Pizza House). However, I'm happy to say that the pizza here is actually quite tasty (no pun intended). We got the spicy veggie, the saag paneer, the artichoke pesto, and the pav bhaji on cauliflower crust. Both the pizza dough and the ingredients were of great quality. I will say that I do wish that the saag paneer pizza was more "Indian" if that makes any sense... it was essentially a regular pizza with some classic toppings and then some pieces of paneer topped on it almost as an afterthought. If you at the picture of the same pizza on the internet, there was a lot more saag topped on the pizza in a way that made it look more Indian. In contrast, the pav bhaji pizza looked and tasted like a more authentic desi pizza. The cauliflower crust was also delicious. Overall, this place is great to get your fix for American style Indian and even regular pizza. It is VERY unusual for a place serving classic American style to receive a perfect rating as it's not my preference so take it from me that a four star rating for this places means that it's pretty good. read more

My husband and I were invited to a superbowl party. We decided to mix things up by ordering some Indian pizza. I decided to go with the paneer pizza as I'm a sucker for paneer! I placed the order online and headed out to pick it up. The store is easy to find and is next to Ike's sandwiches. There was plenty of parking. I was given my pizza right away and it was piping hot even though I was a bit late. The paneer tikka pizza was delicious! I was impressed with how big the paneer pieces were. They didn't skimp on the paneer at all. There were onions and bell peppers as well which were fresh and tasty. The sauces were delicious and had those Indian flavors integrated into them- cumin, garam masala etc. It was so good, that I forgot to take a picture! We got takeout so we weren't able to see and stay for the full ambiance and service of Tasty Pizza, however when I walked in I noticed the place was huge with a decent amount of seating. The service was also nice with kind serves who made sure we had all the parmesan and chili I wanted! I got a large of the Shahi Paneer and Garlic Tandoori Chicken pizza. I loved that you could split half half which gave me a meat lover and vegetarian mom to eat a pizza without having to get 2 separate ones making it much more expensive. The pizza was ok. The undercarriage and the crust were not very crispy, and the white sauce was boring and very creamy which kind of irked me. The chicken and all the other toppings were amazing though! The chicken was marinated perfectly and had so much flavor with the just the right amount of spice, so it does not need any extra spice. The chicken was also very tender and juicy. The meat was overall perfect! The other toppings like the pineapple, jalapeños, and the peppers were also amazing, cooked to perfection! The paneer pizza was also amazing with soft flavorful tandoori paneer. After passing by this pizza joint many times (living within a mile of it), decided to order take out on the National Pizza Day. We ordered the butter chicken pizza, the tandoori chicken wings and the Jain bread rolls. I was amazed with the quality of food, the pizza was out of this world and delicious, tasted gray the next day (ordered the XL size). The chicken wings were so tender and juicy, the best I have tried in a long time, just a bit on the spicy side. I've noticed more Indian pizza places popping up, so I finally dragged my friend to check out this place. I'm so glad we went! Parking was spacious for a weekend and there were a few customers inside. Bathrooms were available past the big menus and in the corridor. They have extensive vegan and vegetarian menus that are posted in big fonts on the wall. This saved me the trouble of having to squint, hah. After a long while of choosing between a number of pizzas (curse my choice paralysis!), I decided on the vegetarian shahi paneer and my friend chose the spicy butter chicken. We also got the achari cauliflower bites. I was skeptical about the tofu on my pizza at first, but they marinated it well in the sauce so it wasn't bland. The flavor was amazing that I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing. When I got home all I could think about was finishing this pizza. What was less palatable were the cauliflower bites. The sauce they used to marinate the cauliflower was so spicy that I couldn't appreciate it. The texture was also not enjoyable for me because it was soggy. They most likely simmered the cauliflower in the sauce. Despite the disappointing experience with the cauliflower, we were impressed by our pizzas and loved how unique they were from traditional American flavors. Indian-American fusion pizzas are truly a game changer in the pizza world. I'll for sure be back to try more flavors. read more

I love Indian pizza and this place has the flavor combinations on point! And plus points for a wide variety of options along with the ability to customize. So I think the "build your own pizza" where you see a variety of toppings on display to choose from is temporarily closed due to COVID, but will be opening in about 2 weeks (close to end of June 2021). In the meantime, the other options were pretty good too - it was hard to pick, but we ultimately got the half garlic paneer and half aloo chat - both were super delicious! Aloo chat was sweet, tangy, light on spice - perfectly balanced flavors and textures on both options. Paneer was fresh and delicious too. We also got a side order of garlic knots - so so good - freshly baked, amazing texture and flavor...goes well with the two dipping sauces that came along with it. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who happened to be there along with his family - he was super friendly, welcoming, courteous and so easy to talk to. OH, BTW, for all you folks on a low carb diet - they also have a cauliflower crust option (I think) - I saw it on the "build your own" menu options, but please double check! Either ways, i can't wait for them to be open back to normal - so I can come back and try the "build your own" pizza with Indian flavors. Parking was very easy to find. There was not many people here. Noise was really quiet. There was no music of any kind. Just a fountain drink machine brrringgg and a tv playing a movie. There was plenty of seating indoors. I ordered the Tandoori chicken pizza (5/5): ouch so steamy and hot . The pizza was really fresh and the crust was soft and fluffy much resembling a naan. Chicken packed quite a punch for me (low spice tolerance) in terms of spice level but my friend said it was mild. Garlic knots (3.5/5): fluffy and soft but the garlic flavor was quite subtle. To be honest it was just a pretty solid bread with a subtle garlic flavor. Achari wings (5/5): again really hot for me but my friend said it was mild and compared to other hot wings the spice level was a little less hot. The texture was tender and came off the bone cleanly. Google/apple pay is accepted here. Our order took about 10 minutes which is a good wait time for a pizza this fire. Overall Tasty Pizza sure is a tasty pizza place and would come back here. Vegan aloo gobi: by default, these don't come with the vegan cheese. Vegan cheese is an extra $1.50. The aloo gobi was tangy and flavorful. The red onions were juicy and provided that perfect crunch. The gobi was well cooked but not mushy. Loved it. 10/10. We added some red pepper flakes, garlic salt and oregano to top it off. Yummm vegan cheesy goodness 2. Saag paneer pizza: really delicious saag, with a garlicky note. The paneer was flavorful too, and the jalapeños and red onions were just perfect and complemented the dish well. 10/10, would recommend! I couldn't decide which place to go to at that shopping center... glad I picked this one! I went there at 11 weekday and nobody was there. Got saag paneer personal pizza without jalapeños and the masala garlic knots. I ate them half an hour later while waiting for my son to get out of school and they were sooooo good!! I think this was my second Indian pizza in my whole life so I don't have much experience with them but I loved it. The pizza has gotten a bit soggy but I didn't care because it tasted great!
