I know this place has a high rating and a lot of repeated customers however it just wasn't my cup of tea. First I have to say normally I like a thin crust pizza but one that isn't soggy and the toppings don't slide off with a weak crust. If I want something crusty we usually go for deep dish, I'm not a fan of something in between. My husband however was craving NY style pizza and this place rated high and was close by. I have to say sadly this is nothing like the NY style pizza I had in NY. The crust was not great it felt like Costco pizza crust to be honest. Toppings were ok, we got pepperoni, sausage and mushroom and I wish the pepperoni was cooked a little more as I like it when the edges get a little crisp curl to it. This wasn't like that. The person working in front was nice but I had to ask for several things like the salad dressing for my salad, plates for the wings we ordered however he did bring plates 5 min or so later when our pizza came out. But then I also had to ask for pepper flakes and cheese. I just felt like after giving a tip for service there wasn't much basic service. Perhaps it was closer to the end of the evening and he was preoccupied with other tasks. Anyways aside from the service and the mediocre at best crust, the salad was fine but the wings which I assumed would be like buffalo wings seemed more like baked/boiled wings with sauce. It definitely wasn't fried and the skin was as if they boiled or honestly. Anyways for a local joint I'm glad others enjoyed it but if you have similar tastes or expectations in pizza crust or wings then this would be a skip. read more

PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA OR NO? Literally one of my favorite pizza spots. They're an amazing Palestinian-owned small business and the pizza is SO good. My favorite is the BBQ Hawaiian chicken pizza because it's the perfect mix of sweet/salty with the pineapple. It genuinely breaks my heart seeing them get hate and have "0 star" reviews just because they're openly pro-Palestinian. We have been buying pizza and gyro from 212 New York Pizza (formerly Via Mia) since 2022. They have very great pizza, and we have tried veggie deluxe, chicken blanco, pizza steak, Hawaiian. All tastes great. Service is great, it is family business and the owner is very friendly. We also purchased pizza for 30 people for a birthday party, everyone loved the taste. We usually do pick up and eat at home (my son's preference), but have tried eating at store once. Very interesting photos and post cards on wall, give very unique snd interesting ambience. Delicious Pizza! We just moved to the area and looking for good Italian style pizza. This hit the spot! We ordered for delivery and the restaurant called to confirm our notes on our order. Super friendly and delivered before the quoted time, which was really nice. I look forward to visiting the restaurant in person some time. Also, I have to mention the prices were way better than the big chain restaurants (Round table and Mountain Mikes). I am only giving 4 stars because the delivery drive did not follow my instructions and was hard to communicate with us. This is a small pizza shop in the same plaza as Gochi. Although small, this place is frequented by a lot of take out orders. There are a variety of specialty pizza and I love the combinations! Garlic chicken in creamy sauce with spinach is what I will try next time. We ordered a medium size build you own and a small meat combo. The dough is medium thickness loaded with ingredients and not overly salty. We are happy with the quality. read more

Easily one of the best pizza spots around! I can't say enough good things about this place. The pizza was perfection!! We tried a few different pizzas, all were tasty but their pesto chicken pizza was next level. The crust was crispy with just the right amount of chew, topped with insanely fresh ingredients and bubbling, golden cheese. Every bite was balanced and flavorful. You can tell they take pride in their dough and sauce. The wings were crispy with just the right amount of heat and their salads were delicious, topped with veggies, cheese and croutons. This is a place where you can indulge or keep it healthy with a big ol salad. Service was super friendly and fast, and the vibe was laid-back and very welcoming. We'll definitely be back. I had family visiting from out of town and they wanted to try a local pizza spot. We had a large party and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We ordered several different pizza's, salad and wings. The food came out fast and was delicious. My favorite was the pesto chicken pizza but you can't go wrong here. They are always so accommodating since we want to order more than one of their selections, but really can't eat two whole pizzas. They will make a half and half pizza for you. Pretty good pizza place. I came long ago and they used to offer slices but now they only have full pizzas but added a smaller personal size option called mini. I ordered a small ($18 + toppings) which serves 1-2. It came out in about 10min which was pretty quick for a fresh toasty pizza. Nothing to complain about my Hawaiian pizza with the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings. While I was here I saw a guy come pick up huge party sized 26" pizza ($63) ! I'll definitely keep that in mind for future parties. read more

Visiting my parents, my father picked this place because it had New York in the title thinking it might taste as good as a NY slice. The reason pizza tastes better in NY is a mix of tradition and situation. Starving after walking many blocks (who walks to work in California?) in the cold...needing a quick base layer before a night of drinking...grabbing a slice after finishing a broadway show. It's all of that...and experience and quality. I don't see any evidence that this place has any roots in NY. If it did, it would proudly advertise it in its website. And the Statue of Liberty in the logo is proof that this is not a NY rooted establishment. But you just have to taste the pizza to tell. I'm pretty sure that the crusts are pre made frozen rounds versus fresh dough. It's pretty unappetizing...with no crispness...it's like an underbaked cauliflower crust. And we ordered a Caesar salad which had an option of dressing. What? That's like giving options of meat on a turkey sandwich. We picked Caesar obviously they delivered thousand island dressing. I've read the other reviews and I'm sure the wait staff is nice and everything else. It's just not New York pizza and not something I would choose to eat again. read more

Based on the majority of positive reviews I decided to check it out as I was just finishing up an optometry appointment next door. Ordered the medium mushroom and it was ok, as with other reviews the sauce was lacking in flavor and for a "New York thin crust" it fell a little short. Given there was only 1 table of customers waiting for the pizza it took a little longer than expected and from all the reviews about how the owner and employees were welcoming, I didn't really get that vibe and after I ordered and came back in after 10 minutes to check on my order I was asked again if I was placing an order; guess my order was not memorable. I wanted to ask since the place is advertising Halal meats, I wondered how Ham, Pepperoni & Bacon toppings are Halal but the cashier seemed distracted. I ordered online and the pizzas were ready to pick up on about 15 minutes. The combo pizza was a hit at my party. I also enjoyed the chicken with garlic white sauce base. They're very generous with the toppings. The crust is also very tasty and that can be hard to find. The pizza style here is true New York-thin and slightly chewy. The ratio of cheese to sauce to toppings is perfect. I like to order extra to have leftovers the next day. I really like that they offer a variety of sizes of pies. The small is good for one person with a few slices leftover. I'd get an extra large for 6 people. The staff were very friendly and they give plenty of chili and cheese packs for takeout. We were looking to try some new pizza places, preferably smaller business pizza shops (i.e. not pizza hut, round table, mountain mikes, cpk, or pizza my heart). I found this small pizza shop on Yelp in Cupertino. I knew this place was here, but don't remember it having this name. After reading through some other reviews, some people were saying that the name changed and it was under new ownership. The shop is a tiny hole-in-the-wall kind of shop. You can tell they're mainly meant for pick up because there were no tables inside and it was very small as well. The shop is in a small plaza with some other small businesses, but this plaza is surrounded by housing so it's easy to miss unless you're driving by on the back road. The parking lot definitely needs to be worked on. There were a lot of bumps and pot holes that we drove through just to park, but I know this is more of the plaza owner's problem. I was actually able to order online which was nice. One thing I should have checked was to see if it cost more to order online. I ordered a medium pizza (half cheese, half pepperoni) and it was almost $17. I also wanted to try their garlic knots which was $5. So in total, for a medium pizza and garlic knots, it was around $25. A little pricey, but I'm assuming it's because of the location. The online ordering system gave me a time that the food was gonna be ready, but when I got there, it wasn't ready. When I ordered online, it said that the food would be ready in 20 minutes, when we got there we were still early so we waited in the car. The guy at the register said it would be another 5-10 minutes. So in total, for a medium pizza and garlic knots, it took 30 minutes. The pizza was just okay, it wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad. One thing I didn't like was that the garlic knots were underbaked. The inside was still very raw and I ended up having to bake them for another 10 minutes at home. Overall, we probably won't be back anytime soon. read more
