Normally when you have a mirror or any furniture with screws, they wrap your items or put your screws in a baggy. In this place, I was told that would be extra for each item wrapped and they did not put my screws in a bag. This was the first time I heard of something like this. They also told me to put some items in my car because they couldn't do it. For example, my computer items, such as my screens. That was very odd. The movers were just doing there job so I can't say they were doing anything wrong. I will say, my bed frame feels wobbly so something is off there. In my opinion, I should have just hired someone from Facebook if I would have know I wasn't going to get a full on professional mover experience. I paid 238 cash or so for 2 hours. I think the price was the most competitive but the service was not what I expected.

I had heard about Scott Storage from my mom's neighbor, so I checked it out. Glad I did. Bob was at the front counter and I let him know what I needed. He let me know all he had available was a coveted 10x10 on the ground floor right near the drive up garage - how could I say no? First month was about $30 and it was just north of $200 each month after that. Because I knew I'd be out of there quickly, that was actually competitive compared to other places and smaller units. The place was clean, safe, and well organized. They even played some great music (I'm an old Xennial so I appreciate the 70s-90s hits). It was hella secure - you have to enter a code and can't get in after 7pm most nights. I had NO doubt my stuff was safe and secure. The complimentary carts and roll in garage made moving the stuff in easy - and we were able to move out before our third month, and it was a quick and easy process! Can't recommend this place enough.

My dad…read morewould load up the truck with old junk and off we would go into the foothills where, for a nominal fee, you could push all the crap out of your truck onto the ground... all while flocks of seagulls and crows poked through the trash for food while giant bulldozers and other cool machinery pushed the huge piles of stuff around. Fast forward 35 years, and now I am the dad with a big truckload of broken flooring and wall plaster that needs to go somewhere. Turns out the dump I went to as a kid is now all filled up, and features a golf course atop all those piles of trash buried beneath. So, with a huge mess on my hands, I started calling around to see where I could legally get rid of some stuff. I called this MRF, and they actually answered their phone. Since this simple move seems to be a rarity in the local industry, I ended up going there. I arrived at the facility, pulled my truck into the vehicle scale, and approached the window. COVID rules play here, but with the dust and god knows what blowing around, it's a good idea to mask up anyway. The place also requires patrons to wear safety vests, and they sell them for about five bucks if you don't have one. Note well: it ain't cheap. All sorts of rules, regulations, taxes, fees and the like have made this gig practically a Ben Franklin cost per trip. But I suppose it's better than trying to dump it illegally or hassling the "two scoops at a time" routine in your weekly trash pick up. They also did not weigh my truck on the way out, so I guess they just use a tare weight in my make and model. Who knows? Regardless, I made two trips here and got rid of most of the junk I needed to.

I have never worked with such a fantastic moving company and crew in my life. And I've moved around a LOT. Their prices and service seemed to good to be true, but I learned that that's just their standard. And it shows. Steve gave me a quote, assured me there were no hidden fees (something I've always experienced with other moving companies) and that's exactly what happened. When I had questions about the move, I would text Steve and he'd get back to me right away. Such a wonderful and stress free experience. On the day of the move, I could not have been more stressed and anxiety ridden. We still had things to pack, boxes were everywhere and I was panicking because I didn't feel ready. The LOVELIEST trio of lovers swooped in and just started making things happen. Ali, Assan and Bak made this move SO easy. If an item didn't have a box, they'd get one and start filling it up carefully with all of our stuff. They were SO kind, polite, quick and did such a great job, I literally will never use another moving company again. Not only are they fantastic at what they do, they're some of the kindest and most humble people I've ever me. Odd to say about people I just met, but we were able to chat with them a little throughout the day and they were just so wonderful. I'll never use or recommend another moving company - truly. EXCELLENT service! They were incredibly communicative for our cross country move. The company called me shortly after booking with Uhaul to confirm the details and I received a text weeks prior to inform me about the delivery window. This allowed me to book my flight to fly in and let them into the storage unit. There was a tiny snag with Uhaul because they didn't share the address to pick up the Ubox with the movers, but the moving company let me know what was going on, took care of it all by themselves, and still arrived in the service window to move the items. I didn't even need to supervise. They were so friendly and professional. I just let them into the storage unit and went to a local coffee shop. When the items arrived, they were in pristine condition! I have a TON of glass wares and decor items. I expected to get a ubox full of glass shards at delivery, but not a single item was broken. They'd carefully wrapped each thing and secured it in the Ubox. You can tell they really care about their customers. Easiest cross country move in my life! I'll definitely use them again :) read more
