Next Move quite literally saved the day and completed our move when another company quit on us about 35 minutes into the job. I would name them, but I don't want this review removed for any reason because Next Move deserves this 5-star review (the other moving company, for those curious, sounds like a popular steak sauce. Their negative review is coming shortly) Called Ken in hopes of a miracle and he delivered! Told him I needed movers ASAP due to unfortunate circumstances. He was so kind and respectful, very upbeat personality. It was super last minute, but he was able to get me a 2-man moving crew who was completing another job 40 miles away from my location. I called him at noon, they crew was there at 2 pm. So fast! His prices were very, very competitive and he was willing to work with me on the driving route. I found a route to our new location via surface streets that was below 10 miles, thus, no double-drive time charge! Other companies I contacted were going to take a different route using the freeway that was 11 miles, thereby incurring the double-drive time charge. I found that very honorable. The moving team was stellar! As mentioned in many other reviews, Matai and his partner, Oscar, were hands-down the hardest working, fastest moving crew we have ever seen! They were both so nice, so motivated, took their time carefully wrapping/securing all of our furniture, but still moved at lightning speed to expertly load up the 26 foot truck! Both were so nice and so professional. They had just completed a move before coming to our home, I was very impressed with their energy level. Great teamwork between the two of them. You could tell they were professional and experienced crew who knew exactly what they were doing, but also very aware of the customers' time. Also, we have a 2 year old daughter and they both were so kind to her and were looking out for her safety during the entire moving project because she was kind of all over the place, as you can imagine a toddler would be. We chose to work with Next Move because they had the fastest response time compared to some other companies we reached out to, and were available on short notice. I'll be honest, as an avid yelper I was very hesitant to hire this company for full service moving... but my husband found them and wanted to use them so I obliged. I am so so so happy I listened to my husband and gave them a chance!!! We hired a team of 4 movers to fully pack, load/unload, and reassemble furniture for us. We moved out of a 4bed/3.5 bath ~2400 sqft sfh. We have 2 kids and a garage FULL of stuff. Ken and his team of 3 other movers arrived exactly 8am and worked tirelessly for 2 days straight to pack my disaster of a house AND unload everything, reassemble all furniture at the new place. I'm still reeling from how they were able to accomplish this in 2 days but they did. They also wrapped everything in shrink wrap and all furniture in blankets so all our items arrived safely. Ken even made sure to power on all the TVs once they unloaded them to show they still work! Most movers charge hourly so I was worried about them wasting time or moving slow but Ken and his guys literally did not stop working except for like a 10 min brake and lunch. Even for lunch, they ate in like 10-15 mins and went promptly back to work!!! Ken removed the time the guys spent for any breaks (eg: lunch) from the total hours which is incredibly fair.
