This worker knew everything about Lego Star Wars and Lego Harry Potter! Gave me great insight and strategies to build my collection (well, er for my son and wife!). Told me the difference between Clone Wars vs. Traditional Star Wars, told me which ones had the best value for figures/characters in a box compared to cost, which sets are going away, etc. I know other stores have BOGO sales (buy-one-get-one50% off) but they also raise thier prices $10 to $20 per set to make up the difference (so you do save money, but not as much as you think AND you have to buy 2 sets at close value at one time). I have even used their web-site to buy Star Wars sets and accessories (magnets and keychains). It;'s just FUN, FUN, FUN! About three weeks ago I bought a $300 set as a gift for my lego fanatic partner. I gave it to him only to discover he already had it (of course!). I went to return it today and could tell from the second I said I had return they were not happy. Here was the discourse: Me: "I have a return." LEGO employee: "You need your receipt. And she'll have to help you when she's done." Me: "okay. I have my receipt." 2nd LEGO employee 5 min later: "how can I help you?" Me: "I have a return." 2LE: "You have to have your receipt." Me: "yep - I got that...I have it." 2LE: "where are the key chains you bought???" Me: "I'm not returning those." 2LE: "where is the free gift with purchase you got (LEGO frame thing I didn't want, but they gave to me anyway). Me: I don't have that...I was told it was a free gift." 2LE: "I'll have to deduct that from your return..." Me: "It was a FREE gift!" 2LE: "with purchase!" Me: "that's a bit misleading. I don't have it and I don't think it's fair to charge me for it. I didn't even want it." 2LE: (doesn't acknowledge my request) Me: "Do you think that's fair?" 2LE: "It was a free gift....on the condition you buy something." Me: okay... Random employee comes up: "Sir, what's the reason for your return?" Me visibly annoyed: "It was a gift and he already has it." 2LE: "He already has it??" (Looks at other employee) Me: blank stare 2LE: "You need to have this exact card...." Me: "i sure do" 2LE: returns the product I've returned a lot of things in my day where most retailers have zero issues. I felt like they were trying to find the exception with this that would prohibit the refund. The lady retuning it was also rude and everyone was just a bit put off. Like I was trying to pull a fast one for this dumb frame thing. I'll do my future LEGO shopping online and avoid this in store hassle. read more

+1 for the pleasant presentation. The place is well-lit and clean. The store feels smooth and plasticky, like a Lego brick. +2 for the outstanding selection. It's like they have every Lego model currently in production. You can see the full range of brands, from Chima to Creator to Star Wars to Architecture. +2 for the wonderful service. The people seem to genuinely enjoy working there and are passionate about Lego. A great resource for a total LEGO fanatic. They have a huge selection of sets, plus various spin-off and exclusive items like fridge magnets and LEGO coffee mugs, the build-a-minifig station, the pick-a-brick wall that sometimes features limited-edition colors, etc. Sure, you can often find LEGO sets on sale for cheaper somewhere else... but when you need something weird, like 3,000 very light translucent blue 1x1 round plates to put an icy sheen all over the surface of your scratch-built custom Fortress of Solitude, there's just no place better. The customer service is great, too, and the staff is really knowledgeable. read more

Very cute little store. Full of Legos toys and pieces and little areas for toddlers to play around. The staff was ready and willing to help and answer questions. I didnt see much toddler sizes like the ones I have seen at toys r us, but more of the collector kind of options with the small pieces. I love this store! I can't remember a time that I went to the mall and didn't stop in. The employees are super friendly and not overly pushy. The store is always crazy but I can usually get purchase rung up fast. Legos are a bit pricey but I think they are worth it. I signed up for rewards card and have already earned money back. read more

What a well organized and awesome store front! They do Lego's by the pound quite literally in every color you can imagine! The staff here seems to be very knowledgeable on product in where to find it and even a little history on it for the ones who like short stories on origins. First off, Legos are always a bit pricey. That said, I'm surprised by all the comments about how expensive Legos are here. Compared to other places, they're downright reasonable. My cousins are obsessed with the Lego Friends series of sets, so using them as an example Toys R Us would charge you $11.99 for Olivia's Newborn Foal, Emma's Karate Class, Stephanie's Soccer Practice or Mia's Magic Tricks. All of these sets are available for $9.99 here. It gets worse on the larger sets, like the Summer Riding Camp. At the time of this writing Toys R Us has it "on sale" for $99.99. That's regular price here. Not to pick on Toys R Us, I'm fond of them as well. Rather, on average, I've found it difficult to beat the prices here. On top of that, the free Lego VIP program gives you $5 in store credit for every $100 spent and it tracks what you've spent to the penny. My only real complaint is that the size of the store is a bit small and when it gets busy, as it often does, things feel a bit cramped. Update: They've since made the store much larger. read more

J (6.5 years old) & I spent 3 hours yesterday deep cleaning his room; this all spurred from his sole goal of finding his Lego Darth Vader helmet. At the end, we had a very clean room but no helmet. He suggested after swimming today we go by the Lego store to see if they had a helmet & he would buy it with his allowance. We went and they didn't have a replacement or even a set that came with a new Darth Vader. Disappointed, he was ready to leave. I told him it couldn't hurt to ask if we could special order one. We told a store employee about our situation and he said he was going to talk to his manager and be right back. When he arrived, he handed J a new Darth Vader helmet that his manager had gifted him. J was so shocked he almost RAN out of the store tightly gripping it. He managed to contain his excitement long enough to say "THANK YOU!" and burst out of the store. As we rode the escalator down he said, "Sometimes people you don't know just do kind things from their hearts, don't they?" Yes, yes they do. There's a new manager and I was quite surprised by her attitude. Everyone in this shop has been so friendly and warm, but this new manager is cold and direct. I tried to sign up for a Saturday morning event over the phone and she said they were completely full. I went into the shop that Saturday to make a return and asked if the event was full. An employee said it was very empty and about half the spots were still open. I'm not sure why a manager would do this, even when I specifically asked, "you're sure it's full?" since normally they always check the roster when you call in. We're not too thrilled with the new manager. read more

Legos are brilliant toys. Very nice to have a Lego store in the Seattle area, since Toysrus and Target etc only carry a very limited Lego selection. The store is not as well stocked as the other Lego stores I have visited in Minneapolis and Orlando, but you can find all of the latest, and some of the hard to find sets. read more

I had purchased several sets of Legos at Christmas for my grandson and received the Pick A Brick free fill container. However, my grandson went back to Portland without getting it filled. We went this Easter, which was the last day they would honor it, however the store was closed for the holiday. I called Bellevue Square and Portland Washington Square and both said there would be no problem in honoring it. Every time I have been in the Bellevue Square store the employees are so helpful and make our shopping experience so fun. They have wonderful customer service, especially in dealing with all those children!!! Thanks, Lego!! read more
