Good place for kids with a lot more activities than I anticipated. Come early because it gets crowded quickly. Parking validation is great.

The LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a must-stop for us whenever we vacation in KC. We have two young kids who love building, and this was our second trip. It was even better than the first because I got to experience some of the activities geared toward the little ones as well. There's so much to do! Between building stations, rides, hands-on activities, and checking out the Lego city of KC landmarks, it took us a couple of hours before our son was completely worn out. I also love that it's within walking distance of Crown Center shopping and the fountains. My biggest complaint is that it can get super busy--think mass chaos, kids running around, and people shoulder to shoulder--and it isn't always as clean as I'd like. Pro tip: Book ahead to take advantage of coupon discounts. It helps save a little and ensures entry during busy times. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for kids in KC, and we'll definitely be back.

Always love taking the kids to Legoland. This was a first in KC. They have a huge space and plenty of great activities for all ages. Kids love the 4D theater (watched all four movies). Plenty of building activities. It was a little crowded, which you can usually expect and a popular place. Definitely keep an eye on your kids because they can duck into a number of attractions that are not really accessible by adults. Highly recommend for anyone that want to spend hours in Lego bliss. The cafe was really nice as well. Great options that weren't overly expensive.

My daughter and cousins had a blast here. I thought it was a little over priced for what you get, however it's not crazy expensive and the kids loved it so it was worth it. I do love there are a couple of rides and a 4D movie that are included in the price. We were there about 2 hours.

I took my four-year-old granddaughter to Legoland. It was my first time, but her second. The first time she went, she was too young to remember. We both had a wonderful time. Really enjoyed it. The only thing we were not available for viewing. They have four different shows that run for about 30 minutes each, but they couldn't get the sound to work. Other than that. We had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it for children aged 4. They have different areas where you can build with the Legos. They have a four-seat ride where you can shoot lasers; you look like you're in a tunnel. It's not scary, but it is dark. They also have a ride. It reminds you of a toddler helicopter, and you have to paddle in order to go higher. So the faster you pedal, the higher you go. Make sure you go online to label land.com to purchase your tickets. I purchased the combo so we had a full day, which included about 6 hours at Legoland and Sea Life. I highly recommend waiting until the night before to purchase your tickets if you're not strict about timing, since the number of attendees per session varies. I paid $70 for both of us for both activities, so it's like $35 per person, which included taxes and service fees.

We only visited the Lego store on this trip. The store was awesome! It was clean and organized. Staff were friendly and helpful. They have so many legos to choose from, even some you cannot find online. If you in the market for legos I recommend this location.

This is a place I'd been wanting to go to since it opened. And a short while ago, I was afforded the opportunity since my sister and her kids were coming to town and they were wanting to go. Sidenote: I'd been curious why they had the restriction of needing a kid, but after this visit, it was rather obvious why (kids running around all over the place and many of them had parents who weren't exactly paying attention). A random adult without a kid would be extremely out of place here. This is actually a relatively smaller venue than what I was expecting. There were some hands on building stations, crawling tunnels, a ride, and a few exhibits. The exhibits were my favorite and included the local stadiums, a set piece of the downtown view, and some local points of interest. And there was a cool store at the end where there were all kinds of Lego sets that could be purchased. My parting thought, and really the one I had the whole time was "This would've been so much cooler 30 years ago when I was a kid". It hits hard in the memberberries, but as a nearing middle aged adult, it just lacks the mystique and cool factor it had in my youth. Still an interesting place to visit, and doubly so for the kids, but I could definitely relate to the parents that clearly weren't as interested. If you have kids that love Legos, it's a must stop place. If you're an adult feeling nostalgic, buy some sets of Legos and skip the kids.

The Bad Employees seemed to lack proper training. Where you buy tickets at they had 4 employees trying to help with purchasing tickets through their "self service". Those 4 employees should take the place of the self service machine! The employee that was on the second level when you come in was rude!! Like she doesn't like kids and is in the wrong place! The Okay It was enjoyable I like the concept but there needs to be more space. The Good The smile on my kids face and the excitement they had! The validated parking was also plus.

We said goodbye to summer with the kids pick of Legoland and the Aquarium for the day. I stay solid with my original thoughts that this place is overpriced, dirty and not worth it for me. All that said, my kids love it... Take sanitizer, ibuprofen and a smile and your kids will thank you for bringing them.

I only stopped by at the store portion of the Legoland discovery center and the team was just amazing! I was looking at the mystery bags for Disney series and really wanted the Coco movie character - Miguel and Dante. The staff helped me with it and put it aside for next day to purchase! How sweet it was and it made my day!!

    Rachelle C.

Definitely fun for the kids! The rides and rock wall my kids enjoyed. You could tell it maybe needed a good cleaning and some sanitizing spray. I would have liked to see a little more. We walked around the whole place in a matter of 2 hours. The staff at the cafe never smiled nor were friendly.

We can do this at home. For $25 I expect more. (The two year old was free but everyone else was paid for.)

I'd advise taking care with fish- they use RO water, so drip acclimation will be necessary if you're on KC tap water. The Pygmy's cories I got from them were healthy, but they needed a slow acclimation to be put into my quarantine. They're now in the display. They're knowledgeable about their fish and plants (I'd assume salt water as well, but I don't have a saltwater tank, so I can't say one way or the other). The plants I've purchased from them have been great, except for one buce brownie tissue culture that melted and hasn't come back, but apparently my tank doesn't like buce, because I've tired multiple times, and buce melts and never come back, so I don't fault them for that. Their plants are nearly always in good shape and happy. I did buy some downoi that was super leggy, and so I trimmed it to use only the best of it. It's there, in the tank, and I'm watching to see what it does. But the tissue culture of the downoi I got from them really took off, and is propagating just fine. Their cost is in line with online sellers when you factor in shipping. I'll continue to use them. I've been pleased with the knowledge of the employees and their locality.

First thing's first, if you are just wanting to visit the Aquarium you'll still need a ticket to the Zoo, as the Aquarium is just a part of the larger Zoo experience. I love this too, FWIW. This Aquarium, while top of the line, is not really intended to be a stand alone attraction, and in my opinion is not really large enough to merit a full day. It's plenty big and impressive though, if you are working it into your KC Zoo trip. What's great about this aquarium is that for the size and price you get to see sharks, sea otters, eels, jellyfish, and more! To a small kid it will feel massive, and even to an adult there is plenty to charm and awe. I love that during the heat of summer or the chill of winter there is a nice sized space to get relief from the elements, and there's always plenty of staff inside to answer questions. It should also be noted that hands down this is the best aquarium in KC. It blows SeaLife out of the water and is a much better value - in short, just support local and go here if you are on the hunt for an aquarium. All in all, this is a good Aquarium for our fair city.
