Then when we went over prep she ran down the list of did you do this / that like they normally do. When I mentioned I only was able to drink 3 of the 4 liters she wasn't happy. Seemed upset immediately and changed her tone with me. I explained I have had this procedure before and it's routine. The directions state clearly , and yes their emailed directions and not the pharmacys like they tell you, states you can do 3 liters minimum Depending on this and that ... which applied in my case. Then she asked about fluids and last time I drank any. I mentioned I last had fluids just over 3 hours ago to which she became passive aggressive again like we're having a debate and she must win And stated that I shouldn't have had anything for 5 hours And that hopefully the colonoscopy goes ok. Again very passive aggressive. Look folks directions say no more prep solution within 5 hours. However clear liquids like water you can have up to 3 hours before procedure which is what I did. I'm going to be honest, she was rude to me from get go, incorrect about the stuff she for some odd reason wanted to argue about. Im only 39 , nice guy their with my wife About to go through a stressful procedure. She made me feel absolutely terrible. No idea what her issues are but as a fellow business owner and somebody who has deal with this on rare occasions handling my own staff the problem was clear. She formed some sort of bias against me maybe because I'm just a alpha heavy diesel mechanic type , maybe politics ? Hell I dunno. Just wish She was as kind to me as the nice elderly lady in the bed next to me. My Doctor was very polite and nice. The anesthesia specialist was polite and nice. The girls in the procedure room were nice. But the nurse who started my IV , Gave me my gown ect was terrible. Absolutely terrible and that is the first representative of your establishment besides reception and leaves the biggest impression. But at the same time the old lady was given the nicest of tone and care and all the time in the world which is rightfully so.

Doctor Andrew Gilchrist has been my primary care provider for about a year now, and I have never…read morebeen more satisfied. Dr. Gilchrist has a profoundly sane approach to patient care including empathy, humor and access. I am able to reach my doctor any time, and receive a response almost immediately. He is available via text always and is also quite easy to schedule with. I have never (never!) had to wait to see him. Beyond being very knowledgeable, easy to talk with and amazingly kind, Dr. Gilchrist also provides a level of care that is incredible. He has dropped off prescriptions for me, been proactive with insurance issues and worked diligently to find me other providers, such as physical therapy, who are equally good. Concierge care may require new thinking at first. Paying a subscription rate on top of insurance can seem prohibitive, but when given the level of care and contact, it's actually quite a bargain. Dr. Gilchrist has seen me several times a month, as well as offered referrals, text consults and encouragement, all within my monthly cost. No copay, no additional fees, and of course all services that he refers too work with insurance as usual. It's an easy win- and genuinely adds to my health and well being to be part of his concierge practice. I would encourage anyone to get in and see Dr. Gilchrist! He's the absolute best!

I'd probably give them a 3.5…read more This urgent care clinic is in the PeaceHealth Surgeons Building, across the street When we got here there was no one in the lobby or waiting, so we went right to registration and got queued up to see a provider. The nurse was fine though she wasn't the best communicator; she wasn't clear in what she was asking and then acted like I was . After about 15 minutes or so, a PA came in for examination, diagnosis, and provided a prescription. We were there approximately 45 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. What made this a less pleasant experience is what happened after. The pharmacy they were sending the prescription to didn't have record of it. I called to ask if they had a prescription number that I could provide in case it wasn't coming up with my phone number. Instead of simply saying "no, the pharmacy generates that, not us" she gave me other info and I finally asked if they had a number and she said no. I'd have appreciated if she said "we don't have a pharmacy number but I can give you this other info if it helps." Later when I called them back because the pharmacy said they didn't have the prescription and the doctor needed to call it in (I had already told the pharmacy that urgent care said that THEY--the pharmacy--needed to call them, but she said they wouldn't) the same woman I'd spoken to earlier at urgent care said that they'd just get the same wait time, and I explained I'd already told the pharmacy everything urgent care told me before but this is what I'd been told. Both times I called she acted a bit like I was wasting her time and asking asinine questions, which is why my rating is a 3 instead of 4.

I want to say that, for me, McKenzie-Willamette hospital is the best hospital in the area. I have…read morehad to go to the hospital 3 times for emergency and the wait was less than 1/2 hour in all 3 cases. I was taken care of and the problem I had was taken care of by the doctors and nurses. The last few months I was at the hospital due to blocked arteries which caused me to have a triple bypass, heart shocked twice, an ablation, and finally a pacemaker implanted. After my bypass I ended up in the Cardiac Care Unit where I was taken care of by the most professional caring doctors and nurses. It was like my comfort and recovery were the most important task they had. It is no wonder that they and the doctors and nurses at the McKenzie Heart Group are a level 3 star for patient care and outcomes. My understanding is that is the highest level attainable and there are only 3 in all of Oregon. Two in Portland and one at McKenzie-Willamette hospital with the McKenzie Heart group. You couldn't do any better than them for your heart care especially if you need bypass surgery.

The staff are caring, competent, and provide strength-oriented patient empowerment. They have helped me through good times and challenging times and put up with me when I was not at my best. Recently, I had an opportunity to read the clinical notes of a recent visit. Wow, do they listen! I cannot imagine better care.

AND THE WORST 'HEALTHCARE' AS WELL-though I'm hesitant to even call it that. I did not at all feel like Jan cared about my *personal* needs. She was warm and friendly enough until I asked her to order some tests that I wanted, or to think outside of her narrow thoughts. I was only asking for a comprehensive thyroid panel-we aren't talking expensive hypochondriac things. When I told her that a topical medication she prescribed was causing dryness and irritation, she dismissed my concerns and told me to keep using it. I took my son to see Dr. Copperman for a specific concern and he told my son that his issues were his own fault. His blaming alienated me, shamed my son and did NOTHING to address the concern we came in for. I have NEVER been treated this way before by anyone. His care was so terrible that I sat in the car crying from anger. I asked for a referral for my son, and was handed a list of providers and told they would send over a referral. When I called to follow-up, the referral told me they weren't accepting new patients. I called the clinic back but no one was available to help me. 3 days later they returned my multiples calls and said they'd send it through to another. That one ALSO was not accepting new patients. And then it happened a third time. Finally, I started calling around and then asked the new clinic to call for a referral and it took a week to receive it! As if that wasn't enough, the front office told me that I did not need to make a co-pay for a visit. I told them, are you sure? I usually do. They told me no, and refused to take any payment. When I was then billed for it, I called to find out why and was placed on hold, or hung up on, and never got an answer. When I went in for the next appointment, they told me at the appointment that I had to pay a $100 deposit to be seen since I was delinquent on my bills. DELINQUENT. It was a $20 co-pay. I was there for an appointment and had no other choice if I wanted my son to be seen.
