I found a fully-loaded 2014 Ford Escape Titanium that I liked on their website, so I inquired about it online, rather than wasting time at the dealership and having someone push me with sales tactics. It was a totally easy, painless experience. I emailed back and forth with Ajay who was very straightforward and offered to price-match the same vehicle at Covert Ford in Austin (just the wrong color for me). We did everything online and he actually found me an additional discount and called me right away to let me know about the correction and that it would drop my lease payment by an additional $50/month. I got 12% off the MSRP of the car, which I think is a great deal, and I absolutely love my car. No charge for the added window tint. I walked into Riata at 5:30pm yesterday, signed the finance paperwork, and walked out less than 1hr later with my car. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I took my car to RIata Ford because I had an issue with my tire/wheel on the recommendation of my son and daughter in law. They were supposed to change the oil while they had my car, and it was there for almost a full week (that wasn't all their fault, but the insurance company). When I picked it up, they did not change the oil. Ok, not a huge deal but a little annoying. They agreed to take payment directly from the insurance company and allow me to only pay the deductible. Great! Right? That was 2 months ago. Today, I receive a call from the service advisor (who wasn't the one I spoke with initially, but got transferred to in the middle of them working on my car because they told me the original guy was fired -- but he was sitting at his desk when I picked up my car -- so they lie too, but I digress). The service advisor proceeded to tell me that my claim had not been paid despite their best efforts and that she had been really sweet with them (like I care?). This is the best part, if the insurance company did not pay the claim by the end of the week (this is Tuesday), that they would have to repossess my car! What? Why am I just now hearing about this issue that started 2 months ago? And WHY are you threatening to repossess my car on the initial contact? My advice? Go elsewhere. They don't care, they lie and could care less about you as a customer. read more

Well, I had a day off so I decided to take advantage of the $9.99 oil change that is available for Advantage members at the Fast Johnny service center. Only problem is that I'm going on my third hour waiting for my vehicle. Hey Riata, if you're going to tout a low priced oil change to show your appreciation to your loyal customers, how about speeding it up a bit? Either that, or change the name to Slow Johnny to reflect your actual speed of service. I tried making an appointment, but when I called, I was told that they don't make appointments for oil changes, as they get them in and out just as fast as any other place. The service manager has sat in his office all day, except once to use the restroom. Mr. Kevin Hopper, how about being more involved/hands-on with your operations? Maybe if they see the boss making some rounds they might be a little more productive. Everything here seems to be too laid back. UPDATE: Well, the service tech apparently broke the hand hold trying to get in my truck. Paul, the customer service guy that checked me in and out tried to tell me that it had been previously glued on (repaired). See the photo, the service tech snapped that thing off clean. What a joke! Own up to your mistake Riata! Paul tried to send me off with "I'll ask my boss later if he wants to fix it or not and I'll call you later." No sir, I'm not playing that game! All I want is for Riata to make it right and I'm not leaving until they do. Thankfully they had a new hand hold that was the right color in stock and are now going to fix their mistake. This review is for selling our used vehicle to Leif Johnson/ Riata Ford. We had been in contact over email with the dealership after they contacted us stating they were interested in buying our vehicle on Craigslist. We decided that selling to a dealership after they offered a fair price was the best option and would be less hassle than dealing with private buyers over craigslist, but unfortunately we were very wrong. When we arrived to sell the vehicle on a Saturday they struggled to get through the paperwork, putting incorrect information on the documents that we fortunately caught, such as incorrect mileage, dates, etc. We chalked it up to it not being the primary office that handled buying vehicles and were on our way, being told that in 3-5 business days the check would be ready after the title was confirmed clear. After leaving, we realized they never gave us back our driver's license. That was our first trip back to their offices, a not a huge deal or completely their fault but inconvenient no less. Fast forward 3 business days later and they informed us that a signature was missing from the title and we would have to go back to their offices to correct it, unsure why no one felt the need to call us when they should have been processing the paperwork for the last 2 days. We returned again to correct their mistake and were told to pick up the check at a different location (Riata Ford) when they called saying it was ready. Fast forward to Friday (Day 5 of the 5 business day agreement). WE had to call to follow up as we hadn't heard anything by mid day, after some pressing were told they would get it all finalized by the end of the day so we could pick up the check. Show up to the offices only to be informed that they CFO or owners aren't even in today and no one else authorized to sign it so we would have to wait until Monday but they would let us know as soon as it was ready. Again, Monday no call, so we followed up at lunch only to be told they were still waiting on the final signatures, but the people who needed to sign it were in the office but they couldn't guarantee they would actually sign and finish processing the check she had in her hand. At the same time, we were able to find our car, they had not paid us for, listed on their website iwanttobuyused.com FOR SALE!! Seems ridiculous that they can turn around a vehicle and have it posted for sale before they have even paid the actual owner of the vehicle!! After another tense phone call, we were able to finally pick up the check and finalize the entire transaction. Severely disappointed in the service and would NEVER return to buy or sell a vehicle to either dealership because it seems that absolutely no one we interacted with was able to follow through on their responsibilities and promises to the customers. Very glad we did not take them up on their offer to mail us the signed check as they originally suggested as it seems likely we would not have received it for several more weeks as we would not have been following up so closely. Luckily it didn't escalate to us needing to file in court against them to get the money we were owed before the vehicle made it into the hands of another person, but it seemed to be on the verge of that being our only option. read more

So I waited a few weeks to do this review as I had a very terrible experience at Riata Ford located at 10507 US Hwy 290 East, Manor TX 78653 and I wanted to see if the issue with my vehicle would be resolved by this dealership. Well needless to say THIS FORD DEALERSHIP'S GENERAL MANAGER/OWNER DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR ITS CUSTOMERS. I took my vehicle in around 4 or 5 pm Friday evening on 7-22-2016 and I dropped it off the 60,000 mile service. I could not pick up my vehicle in time before the dealership closed so I went to get it the next morning. Everything looked fine and dandy with my vehicle no issues at all except when I went to pay it was around $30.00. So I asked the cashier why 30.00 I was quoted like 130.00 I can't recall exact figures. So I was partnered with JD becuase all I had received was an oil change didn't change my cabin air filter as recommended, didn't rotate my tires as recommended long story short I was just given an oil change and none of the other 60,000 mile service was done. So JD rewrote my vehicle for the rest of the service and I left my vehicle at the dealership and went out with my family. Couple hours later I get a phone call my car is all done and ready to get picked up. So I go in to the cashier pay the difference for the rest of the service get my key fob and go to my car, do a once over and bam the back driver side of my vehicle is all damaged and is not being returned to me in the condition I left it in the hands of the dealership with. So I get with JD and I let him know there is a problem here, he assures me he knows my vehicle was not like that, he then puts me together with Miguel the service manager can't recall his exact title, he assures me my vehicle did not look like that this morning, so I start feeling better at that moment. Miguel gathers my info takes my DL info, takes my insurance info tells me that they aren't going to contact my insurance it's just for paperwork reasons. Tells me that I'll receive a phone call on Monday because they'll have to process the claim and my vehicle will be fixed I'll be given a rental to continue my day to day business. I get in my car drive away feeling great about my overall experience despite the incident that occurred. Monday rolls by no call, so I call and am told it's being reviewed I'll be receiving a call soon. Few days go by still no call, so I call and I'm put on hold because Miguel is apparently out for the day but they'll call him in so about 8 minutes of being on hold Miguel answers and is suprised or seems suprised no one has called and he'll make sure someone calls me soon. Few more days go by and still no call so I personally swing by the dealership on Thursday 8-4-2016 to figure out why I hadn't received a phone call as of yet to take my vehicle in to be repaired. I am being told that the General Manager or Owner whoever was in charge of the facility denied my car being repaired. But that it will be reviewed again because supposedly everyone that interacted with my vehicle from the moment I dropped it off to the moment I picked it up was on my side and felt I should be taken care of AND they've expressed that to whoever was in charge of making the decision to take care of a customer or not take care of a customer. I've yet to receive a call and I am very disappointed in the fact that I was denied satisfaction as a customer and not taken care of, as well as the person who makes those types of decisions isn't the type of leader to call the customer and explain what's going on. I myself am the Lost Prevention Manager of the world's largest retail company and I deal with these types of situations day in and day out bottom line is you do whatever it takes to keep your customers happy which is obviously not a trait this leader exemplifies. I just moved to Manor and planned on utilizing this facility to regularly maintenance my 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium and I had already spent around 130.00 for the service I had done over the course of those two days. Tough decision maker is doing right by the customer and fixing the damage that occurred to a vehicle while in your facilities possession really worth losing a customer who would've spent a unknown amount of money having your facility service the same vehicle? Perhaps that last part didn't cross your mind as is the exact reason we take care of the customer so that we ensure they continue to do business with us. Thank You. read more

If you're looking to get ripped off please by all means continue on your route to Riata Ford in Manor. I wanted an estimate for my car, I explained the radiator had a slow leak, and my car vibrated while idling. 4 hours later, the tell me I need a new radiator, new motor mounts, new belts, belt tensioners, a tune up, new tires and an alignment. I had to pay money to get an estimate, which was more like a guess. Needless to say, I took it to another shop, the radiator plug was loose (which was causing the leak) I don't have to replace my radiator. I did need new motor mounts which I already figured. But yes, please save yourself the time and money and find another service department. That is unless you like to waste your time and money.. read more

Do not waste your time with Riata Ford. This is one of the most dishonest dealerships where I have ever tried to buy a car. Asher and Ajay lied to us multiple times about prices and their unprofessionalism and lack of Ford knowledge made for a terrible experience. My husband contacted Riata over the internet about a new truck and received a quote in email from Asher and the same quote via voicemail from Ajay. We went to drive the truck and they had a handwritten quote with the same numbers from the email and voicemail. After our test drive Ajay could not answer any of our questions about the truck then he stalled for about an hour telling us about some new manager who used to be on a reality TV show. We decided to buy the truck and it was time to sign the paperwork. 1 hour went by waiting, then 2, then 2.5 so I went to the desk where the entire staff was watching YouTube and talking about Charlie Sheen. Asher said someone would be with me shortly, but did not even have the courtesy to look up from the computer. So I went back to the finance room, grabbed the paperwork and started working through the numbers with my husband. The price was $6,000 more than email , voicemail and handwritten quote. 30 minutes later Asher came in to the office and told us there was nothing he could do about the price. He just stared at us blankly as we attempted to figure out why the price was so different from all of our previous quotes. Again, he said there was nothing he could do and literally refused to negotiate, so we walked out. I am appalled that Riata finds is acceptable to waste over 3 hours trying to play their wait and break the stupid customer game. They could have at least been smart enough to go into a closed office to watch TV while the stupid customer sat and took notes about their poorly run dealership. read more

A while back (the last time I brought a car in for service) I had several issues. I had brought in my 2008 Escape. It had left with the vehicle report card full of green checks, one of which was indicating my battery was in perfect health. Days later I get in my car, turn it on and have no AC or radio. I drove home 25 miles in 90+ degree weather with out AC. Then I go to work the next day. I try to leave and my car won't start. Turns out I have a dead battery. That was incredibly interesting considering days before it had been noted to be in perfect health. I bought a battery and installed it myself. At that time I had submitted a customer satisfaction survey regarding my experience, which was not a good one. I do give you some credit. My survey was followed up on. It happened to be a very bad time because it was right around when the Bastrop Fires were occurring. My husband and I were driving down to help pull out live stock as well as moving ours and arranging to purchase new food for them as the fires had burned ours. I did not have time to follow up with Ford on it. I had sworn never to use Riata again. My family places a lot of value on keeping business local and supporting the businesses in the area we live. My family pointed out that Riata had tried to make it right, though the timing had been poor for us. So when it came to needing an oil change in my F-350 Truck and at the same time being the in the market for a vehicle I did decide to give Riata a second chance. My experience has not improved. I dropped my truck off and asked for the parking break to be checked. I received a phone call saying they checked my break, but to find out what was wrong with it they'd need to send it to the back to take things apart. I asked how much that would cost. They told me $20-25. I said okay. About 1.5-2hrs later I came back to test drive a Ford Focus Hatchback (which had been at the top of my personal list of cars I am interested in). We worked with Ted. He had little to share when talking about the car. When we came back, we had an uncomfortable wait in his cubicle. The numbers he threw out there for the Ford Focus Hatchback SEL were higher than the numbers my Dad had gotten from the Ford dealer in their hometown for a Titanium series. On top of that, Ted told us the sales tax is 8.25% - not true, State of Texas says it is 6.25%. When dealing with such large sums of money, it is important to trust the person you're giving your money to. I can not say we felt that way at Riata today. (Back to the service department). I went back to the desk because it had been quite some time since we had dropped the truck off. I asked if there was any update on my truck, estimate of when it would be finished. The receptionist was very short and rude. Our conversation ended with her saying that they close at 7pm. We left to go check out cars elsewhere. About 5 minutes later I get a call from Riata about my truck (I would have waited there if they'd just told me when I was there). They said to fix the parking break we were looking about $900+. I decided to put that off to another time and just told them to go ahead and finish it out. My husband and I went to pick the truck up a while later. The receptionist did not lift her head to greet us or to say, "Just one moment." We waited for her to look up. The bill was higher than I expected it to be. I asked to see the charges. The receptionist gave me one page. It only had information about the oil change. I asked to see "the rest of it." Then she gave me the page that said $55 for my parking break. I told her that on the phone I had been told it would be $20-25. She pointed us towards a man in a blue shirt. I told him and he changed the price from $55 to $25. We paid and left. The feeling that leaves me with is that the service department tried to take advantage of me as a woman and over charge me. Then we went home. When I got home there was smoke and the smell of burning rubber coming from my back wheel wells. I can guarentee that before having Riata work on my truck, smoke was not coming out my wheel wells. My truck was running fine. I had driven it to work daily last week. When it comes to cars I've always heard about how "shady" the business is. I've always been told you have to watch out because they'll take you for all they're worth. Honestly, I'm just an honest person who wants to pay the fair price to get something done. I feel like I just paid for a service at your dealership that has rendered my vehicle undrivable. I am not used to paying people to break things for me. I am very upset about my whole experience with Riata today. I do not feel I can trust to buy a car from Ted, which makes me really sad because I really like the ford focus hatchback. read more

I bought a used 2013 Ford Focus in January/16. As I don't understand too much about cars I trust them when said that the car was very good but they sold me a car with 4 different tires, one of them licking and very very old, they didn't answer me about a complain that I made by email and the gear box is really bad, when I start moving the car everything quakes a lot. The car still have guarantee in the gear box but when take the car there they refuse to stay with the car and said the the car needs about 1500 miles to get used with the driving style of the new driver. My husband and I bought our 2012 pre-owned Ford Escape from Riata Ford about a week ago. This was my first time buying a new car, so I was a little nervous and wary. My husband had been researching for a while. When he saw the posting for the Escape, he called and was able to make an appointment for later that morning. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Zak Benford. He promptly pulled the car up, so we could take a look at it. I appreciated his thoroughness in explaining all the features and functionalities. He was also great at listening to what we liked about the Escape, what we were hesitant about...overall, he was really personable and sincere. You always hear stories about sleazy car salesmen trying to sap you for all your worth. That was NOT the case with Zak. He was honest, and he worked with us to reach a price that we both found reasonable. Tony Nguyen, the manager, was also great. He didn't pressure us to pay for additional services that he didn't think were needed. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with Riata Ford. The only reason I gave it four stars as opposed to five is because, like I mentioned previously, this was my first time buying a car and I have nothing to compare it to. I don't understand the low, practically hateful ratings from some of the other yelpers. I had a wonderful experience. I was looking for very specific options for my new Ford Fiesta and found it in an ad on Auto Trader. I went to the Riata Ford dealer website and filled out the online information form. I was contacted the very next day (Labor Day) by Tiffini Morris. It was available, for the advertised price. I inquired about a direct mail Ford owner rebate offer I had received and was told I qualified. Within minutes I had an out the door price. Although the dealership was almost 8 hours away, I had a business trip to the area the next Monday anyway. Tiffini offered to pick me up at tha airport. I put up a deposit over the phone, and she held the car for me until I could get there. Since I had my own financing, I got busy arranging that, using the brochure that Tiffini emailed to me, with all the information and specifications. I made my flight arrangements and emailed the information to Tiffini. When, I arrived in Austin, she was waiting for me, despite the early hour. We drove out to Manor, took care of paperwork, and I drove away in my new car, for exactly the price I was quoted, which was quite a bit less than the sticker price thanks to discounts and rebates. I got the deal I wanted, on the exact car that I wanted. No one tried to oversell me or talk me into a bunch of add ons that I didn't want. This was one of the easiest, most honest, straightforward, no surprise, transactions I've ever made on a car and I'm almost 60. I've bought LOTS of cars over the years! I've been driving Ford trucks for more than 20 years, and I can honestly say that my experience at Riata Ford was the best ever. Being a truck-loving woman can be challenging when it's time to make a deal, and I have to give huge brownie points to Ajay for being so responsive and respectful throughout the process. I would not recommend going to this dealership for service. I have been there several times in the past to mediocre service (oil changes that took hours to complete; not really ideal with a toddler in tow), but the last experience prompted me to leave this review. I took my car in for a recall on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018. While it was going to be in their possession, I wanted them to also check out my transmission, since it had been slipping recently. It would cost about $280 to diagnose the problem. The next day, we are told that we needed transmission work; we could have ours repaired for about $4500 (with no guarantee that it would fix the problem), or replace it with a Ford crate transmission (refurbished, but with a 3 year warranty) for $7500. People have told us that dealerships overcharge, but I didn't know that it was to this scale! After calling around to transmission repair shops over the course of the week, we discovered that every other place charged thousands of dollars less for the same product (Ford crate transmission with a 3 year warranty); prices ranged from about $4000-4500. We chose an auto shop to take our car to based on reviews and interaction with the mechanics when we called around for quotes. When we went to pick up our car from Riata on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 (10 days later) we discovered that they had never even done the recall, which was the reason we took our car in in the first place! The car continued to drive well, so when we took it to the auto shop, we decided to get a second opinion before automatically replacing a transmission that only had 60K miles on it. In the end, they were able to replace some leaky parts that Ford manufactured poorly, flush out the transmission, and now everything works all for under $1000. Riata Ford will try to upsell and price gouge you, all the while not tending to the initial reason that prompted you to bring the car in. There is no incentive for customer loyalty, as they will treat you as just another number instead of a valued customer. When we brought the issue to the general manager, he said there was no excuse for what happened but also offered no solutions to keep our business. Worst experience with a car dealership of my life! My husband and I have had our Ford Mustang for 4 years and we never had an issue with any dealership until now. Our car started messing up around November 2019, took the car to get checked out and they said they had fixed it. As I'm leaving the dealership, the car starts to do the same thing it did before it got "fixed" so I turned around and took it back. After a couple of days they stated to have "fixed" the problem again. More than $1000 spent there on problems that should've been dealt with the first time but we proceeded to get it fixed because we trusted this dealership or so we thought we could. End of April and we've had to take it back for the same issue. We took the car to the dealership on Monday, they said they would call us the next day with some information. Come Thursday, we hear nothing so my husband calls the dealership himself and they gave him no information. They finally call us a week later on Monday and proceed to tell us that it's the same problem and they're going to charge $700 for the same issue that they had already "fixed" when my husband told them that they had said the same thing last time and supposedly it was "fixed". They denied ever saying what they had told us last time we took it and basically called us liars. We have no reason to lie, if it was our problem then of course we would take ownership of it but it seems like they can't. My husband and I were upset of course so he got in touch with Kevin Hopper and he was absolutely NO HELP and very rude, even hung up on my husband! After so many headaches with these people whom seem to have no professionalism at all! We decided to just pay the money and get it over with and now they tell us to take it to another shop to get it fixed, they refuse to fix their damage. We went to pick up our car on a Friday and the car wouldn't even start, when we took the car in the first place it was running and now it's not. They refuse to take ownership and stated that we needed to have a tow truck come get out car! Which is ridiculous Do yourself a favor and NEVER go to Riata Ford in Manor, TX! read more

Wow...this review is WAY Behind..Been pondering what to say about the "The Focus Journey" which started out at Jerry Garage in Round Rock with a '08 Ford Focus. This review in ONLY for the ABOVE Dealership and the staff in the Service Dept...All Said ..The whole gang did everything needed to get my car back on the road and running great. My one piece of advice for people in this, and ANY service Dept...Please don't look down on my for not having my car serviced at your Factory Shop...Sometimes your deals aren't that good..and if they are, you don't advertise it anywhere (Bill Board Dont Count) You want shop business... TELL people...I grew up, along with A Lot of people, with the notion of Buying a Car at a Dealership and getting it fixed (after warranty) at the local shop...SO..My opinion has changed about the Customer Service for the Ford Company (NOT This Dealer Ship)...What became after calling the 800 number and seeking advice on a possible manufacture defect...landed my car at the dealership..Everything between that call and my car getting to Riata, is between Ford and I....The Company(FORD) did help with $400 toward repairs with a car FAR out of warranty..SO, its a Ruff call..My car has never ran better. Still always will be a Focus fan, and hope to get a new one next year.. read more

I've bought and sold at least 12 vehicles in the last twenty years, and this experience was one of the best Ive had. Not because they gave me a rock bottom price (which I wasn't necessarily looking for) but because of their accommodation in every other area. Ajay Malani was the salesman who very efficiently shepherded the sale along. They had the vehicle I wanted (very hard to find version of 08-09 4runner Sport), so I was willing to pay to not have to drive to Dallas or Houston. His email correspondence was very prompt. I asked to simply do the deal, no pitches for extra warranties, etc. They followed through very well, Tiffany had me in and out of signing in 10 minutes and I was on my way. very good experience. read more

By far best car buying experience ever! My husband and I went by the dealership to look at the used trucks on a busy Saturday. All the sales people were busy so the Manager, Tony, immediately greeted us and began helping us find our future truck. This alone spoke very highly of the dealership. Eventually, Robert, also began to help us and he was awesome! Everyone was so helpful and it was really like hanging out with family while we were there. So we landed on my husbands dream truck then things got even better. Tony convinces me to let him try and see if he can get better financing than my approval from USAA. Had by far one of the best car buying experiences yet again all thanks to Leif Johnson Ford. Our first purchase was a 2014 Raptor in 2014 and this time we had to go back to get the 2019 model. The one we wanted was located in Riata Ford in Manor. Our sales person was Eddie Haddad who meet us from Buda all the way to Manor to assist us in buying our perfect vehicle, yet again. Eddie did an amazing job in finding our new Raptor and also getting us the best price possible. Ryan Fisher was the sales/finance manager who assisted us in getting the outstanding rate in loans. This location might have saved me as a customer after terrible experiences at both the south and Airport location. If you need any kind of service done on your vehicle just ask for Tim King! This is the customer service that I was expecting from the start. I called the Airport location with a concern about my vehicle stopping mid-drive. Jaime was just awful. Very rude, short, and uninterested in helping me find a solution. Had I listened to him when he told me it would be about a week and a half before any location could see my vehicle I would've been screwed. Thank God I called the Riata Ford location. Tim asked me when I planned on bringing my vehicle in. When I dropped into the location 20 minutes later they began service on my vehicle almost immediately!! What I truly appreciate most was that it wasn't just my interaction with Tim King that made the difference. It was the energy of the whole staff and how efficiently they were operating. Very professional staff. From service to cashier, they're all doing a great job. I will never take my car anywhere else to be serviced after my experience with this location. read more
