Absolutely horrendous experience. STAY AWAY. Went in because my vehicle was struggling to do 60mph uphill. They kept it for 2 weeks and replaced the torque converter and a broken AC line for $3,800. I pick it up, and less than 24 hours later I get a check engine light. Take it back in. Catalytic converter. $1,600 later I pick it up. Literally on the way home - less than an hour of picking it back up, the car overheats. Temp gauge is all the way up. Forced to pay and tow it back to my place. Then pay to tow it to the dealership the next day. Now it's the coolant cap. Why was none of this caught the first time? Or the SECOND time I brought it in? Why have I now paid $5,400 for my car to overheat WITHIN AN HOUR of picking it up? Had to take off work just for their manager, Otay Martinez, to strong arm me into being submissive about the issue. "It's an old car. I can't tell you your headlights won't go out tomorrow. We will not be reimbursing you for anything. It's an old car, things happen I don't even have to waive the fee to now replace the coolant cap, I'm doing that to be nice." What would be nice is empathy and respect. It would be nice for the dealership to take some responsibility. You cannot tell me coincidentally that all of this happens to go out within less than 24 of having my car back both times. After driving it less than an hour. The kicker? I bring up how on the document they gave me after the last time I brought it in for the catalytic converter shows that it wasn't even tested. His response? "It was a typo. I can keep your car here for two weeks and find all sorts of problems. These things happen." I ask, "So what if my car goes out while driving it out like last time? Will the dealership be able to send out a tow truck and help out?" He says, "Nope. Can't do it." And for the finale! They fix the coolant cap. And I'm told, "Everything looks good. We tested it and no overheating. But it seems there is might be something wrong with the tires. An alignment issue maybe or something." What? What!? Is this reality? Am I being pranked? I take off work, I pay for 2 tows, you have my car for almost 3 weeks, I pay $5,400, you look it over now 3 times and I get this? Absolutely unbelievable. THEN, as I'm exiting the dealership, waiting at the light at 290/Gregg Manor, the car is shaking. 3,000 RPM doing 40mph as I'm leaving. I am not one to normally leave a review or share negative experiences but I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. If you're reading this, please take this as a warning. Update- On today I had a mobile tech come out because my car breaks started making a loud noise. He inspected my car and told me all my breaks needed to be replaced because there was no lubricant put on the breaks. I called Manir Ford and Randall told me I had a warranty on the breaks. I told him they would never work on anything else I own. Randall was very rude. Do not do business with these people. The mobile tech is costing only $450.00 in which I paid Riata Ford $900.00 plus for the same work they did wrong...... 11/14/2024- Do not let these people work on your car, my front breaks went out sometime in September. I was driving, when all of a sudden, I didn't have breaks. The break line was bad. I paid to get it fixed not knowing it was a recall on the breakline. In November I was getting off of work and had picked up my 4 month grandchild in 7 am traffic when again, I had no breaks. I prayed and made it home. I took the car to Jay's in Elgin Texas which told me that the car has recalls on it and if they fixed it, it would be $920.00. I called Riata and was told they couldn't tell me anything unless I brought the car to them. I had my car towed to the Manor Riata Ford. They kept my car 7 days without me known anything, then the manager called me.and told me they would take care of the break line but the other parts I would have to pay to get it fixed. I paid $900 plus Dollars. At this time I was very upset and wrote a review. Not wanting anything else to do with them. But since my car has been returned when I turn left there is a knock in my car and the RPM keeps losing pressure when in park. Went there because they were the closest dealer with a Maverick hybrid I could test drive. Got there, and when I walked in all the salesmen were gabbing at the counter. I had to go get them. The one that "drew" me must have been pretty new, as he could answer very few of my questions and had to look everything up on line. When I finally asked to do a test drive, it took him about 20 minutes to return with keys to the vehicle. While we were doing the test drive, I had a lot of questions that he didn't respond to. I finally noticed he had his ear buds in jamming to his tunes instead of trying to help me. Once we got back, I asked what they'd give on a trade in. He asked for my keys so the manager could look at it. I stood outside by my car waiting for the manager to come look at it. After 45 minutes waiting and still no manager, I decided I'd had enough and asked for my keys back. It took another half hour to return my keys. No discussions as to why I wanted to leave, not even a thanks for coming by. Total opposite of the experience I had with Round Rock Toyota the day before, where I test drove the Tacoma hybrid. Went here earlier today. They had a couple good options online and it was recommended by my god parents. Anywho, once my son and I arrived we saw a few guys standing outside just staring at us. So I waved to see what they were looking at or if they were going to come help us. Lamar (the business manager) approached us. He introduced himself. My son stated we were just browsing Lamar asked if there were any specific cars we were looking for sedans, SUV's etc. I said we were interested in an Audi but today we're just browsing. Lamar said we have one audi and a Honda and that they had just got a Toyota Corolla. He then proceeded to say "we have some other cheap options." (Mind you we never gave him a budget so he just assumed we were looking for something "cheap" that was his first mistake. You shouldn't judge anyone). Nevertheless, I said well we're just looking. But do you have a business card? He rudely stated "No." it's literally like he did not want to work with us. Due to him seemingly not wanting to be bothered I said "is it okay that I ask questions?" Then he stated in the most condescending manner and facial expression that screamed disgusted (and again) as if he did not feel like being bothered. "Can I ask the question??" And it was at that moment I couldn't take any more of his attitude. He then said "how about you guys look around and if you need anything you come find me." Like first of all, that's what we told you we were attempting to do. If you didn't feel like helping us you shouldn't have came over. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and just say maybe the Texas heat was getting the best of him (which doesn't justify the rude treatment by any means) because he clearly lost all the customer service training I'm sure this establishment invested into him. Unfortunately for him he lost a potential customer. We will not be returning. There are a lot of other dealerships around town that actually have people who care about their job and ALL their customers. read more

The post car buying experience has been abysmal. The salesman said an issue with the door would be covered by warranty when I bought it while he knew good and well it wasn't (the issue occurred during an after market installation not by Ford). They also took three months to get me my plates so I drove around for a month on expired paper tags. As well as during the buying process the finance manager told me to call back any time I'd like to refinance and they'd be happy to help. I've called five times - been left on hold till it timed out, left a note and told they'd get back to me, left a voicemail, and just been hung up on. Terrible customer service, wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. They couldn't give a crap about a long term relationship, they just want to squeeze you for everything you're worth and push you on down the road to the next dealership. read more

Selling damaged vehicles! I ordered a F450, a VERY expensive truck. It came in damaged with deep scratches on the side, and somebody else's yellow paint on the bumper. Also the salesman did not order everything I wanted on the truck. Salesman told me I had 2 options, I could let them "touch it up" and get 1% discount, or 2, they could "Do it right" with no discount and "Hope it came out good". I am paying $100K for this truck. I said do it right. 2 weeks later, there was overspray, and a very large paint run, and more scratches than before. I told them to keep it. 10 minutes later, another salesman calls to sell me a truck "they just got available" It was MY TRUCK! They are selling it damaged, it's on their website now with all the paint damage. Very shady. read more

Worst experience at a dealership I ever had. Anu was the sales person helping me and I'm not sure if he was new or what the issue was but I specifically went in just to get rough numbers on a certain vehicle. I didn't consent on getting my credit pulled what so ever. All I wanted was a simple rough estimate on numbers. Anu asked me some questions and I answered ofc and one last question had me wondering if this was only for estimates or to pull credit so I ofc asked him if this was just for number and he said "yes, we wouldn't pull your credit without permission". He then leaves to put the car information in and get the papers and I get a notification that my credit was pulled even afterrrr I literally asked him if it was going to pull credit. Never have I ever gone to a dealership and had them pull credit to give me rough numbers. Anu then had the audacity to say that I said that it was okay. I will never be buying a car from them or atleast not from Enu or the other man that was helping him who I didn't memorize the name. read more

Realized that my rewards were given to another customer. When I called to speak to the advisor, Joe p Vanek, state she couldn't help and had no idea. The rewards center was able to give me the name of the person the rewards were given to. He stated he had nothing to do with it. However, when o checked in, it's him who took and verified my information. He gives me number to rewards center who I already called. I would think that he would want to figure out where the problem was. My oil changes are not cheap. The service from this place was horrible and would give 0 stars if I could. Made an appt and waited over 1.5 hours. The air in my tires was not checked or filled. According to readings 10 miles later, way off and there were no plugs. The status of my tires, air filter, brakes, or battery were not checked. I had to ask for status and then he just circled they were fine. The manager called me a few days later and told him about it. Stayed they were really busy and apologized. Wanted me to take it back in so they could put air in my tires. With gas over $3, does he really think it's cost effective. I've been to several dealerships all over because I travel, worst experience ever. read more

I've never had any issues when bringing my 2015 Ford Expedition here over the last 2 1/2 years. If I had any complaint, it's that they're so busy and keep my car longer than I'd like. But that's due to pandemic-related events and people holding onto their cars longer, hence needing more maintenance done. I typically work with JD in service, and he's a great communicator and realistic when setting expectations as far as turnaround time. Updating my review: I had been trying to make an appointment to get my 2021 F150 in for service (multiple recalls, oil change, transmission/driveline issue) and was having some difficulty in making the appointment. I had just about given up and I LOVE my truck. Randall reached out to me and was able to assist me in getting in and was even able to reserve a loaner for me since my Truck will be there for several days. Jon, my Advisor has also been awesome. Riata/Lief here in Manor is my preferred Ford Dealer so I am very happy to see that the scheduling is working better. I scheduled a repair and came to talk a service advisor. He was very rude. I was asking valid questions like if I need to wait for the car or how long to finish and if he has advice but he either insult my questions and laugh and smirk about it. It was difficult explaining what the problem of the car when you talk to someone like him. I think this person is racist against Asians. I have dealt with other dealer service people and this is first time I've encountered very rude person. Usually they are so nice. Reading the other reviews, it seems like they are consistently rude at that location. If I were you, don't go there. Hopefully this person, Jon, if not fired, at least get trained on how to talk to people. read more

I reserved my vehicle in August of 2021 and finally took delivery on Dec 30th, 2022. Throughout the nerve-wracking wait and the multiple re-orders for manufacture years, Riata, especially Joshua Esparza, was amazing at keeping me in the loop on how things were progressing and was always willing and quick to respond to any questions I had a long the way. A coworker also reserved the same vehicle around the same time but through a different dealer. Every time I shared an update on my vehicle, his response was always, "I have heard anything" or "I don't know what's going on with mine". So glad I chose Riata! The service department at Riata Ford has something in common with oceanfront property in Kansas (can't figure it out? It doesn't exist!). I had an appointment, showed up at the correct time, and sat under the canopy for over 20 minutes without being acknowledged. This is not the first time this treatment has been extended to me. I called the guy who sold me the truck (second brand new truck from Lief Johnson) and he said come on over to the 2222/Airport store. What do you know, they greeted me within 15 seconds and happily took the truck back - with no appointment. My advice to Fred Trudeau is stop making terrible commercials about how you're delivering the car buying experience of the future and instead spend those monies on delivering the service experience of today! read more

I was alway's told if you cannot say anything nice do not say anything at all. This was second vehicle I purchased from the sales manager and the same salesman and this will be the last. All I can say is the agreed upon price on my trade did not happen and the tracker that was on every vehicle ( sales manager said ) that leaves the dealer was not installed. Riata impresses me yet again. Every time I have called Mac Haik Ford in Georgetown (because they are closer to where I live) the people answering the phone are incredibly rude and arrogant. I ended up calling Riata afterwards because I had no interest in dealing with rude service, and Randall was so kind to me over the phone. He helped me figure out when to bring my car in, discussed a rental car option, and asked many questions about my car's issue. He really made me feel like Riata wants to help. When your car isn't working, it can be so stressful- so I appreciate it! Riata Ford (Manor) service department continues to be a joke. Wait times to get an appointment are week's long and then waiting for the car to be serviced is a 2-4 hour commitment. Those $10.00 oil changes end up costing a fortune in lost time and wages. I would LOVE to take advantage of the low cost oil changes, but unfortunately I can't afford to spend half a day sitting in an extremely uncomfortable chair twiddling my thumbs. First off, I like to say that when something goes wrong, I'm usually the first one to complain yell and scream. So I'm not sure if Riata Ford is going to love me or say awwwwe man we don't do this all the time lol.So I called Riata Ford,about four days prior to my appointment. I was new to the area and I needed an oil change and tire rotation because we had traveled cross country. I called the service center and they gave me a quick appointment to fit my husbands schedule because he works Monday through Friday. did I mention that I do not drive a Ford? I used to. So we arrived 30 minutes prior to our appointment. I think JD was our check-in person. They took the vehicle and honestly said they were backed up. It would be about maybe an hour or two hour wait. So I'm gonna tell you that everyone we interacted with.........may be 5or 6 different people were absolutely amazing respectful to me n my husband.My car was done in two hours maybe two hours and 15 minutes. And they squeezed me in for this particular appointment. So I thank you to all the Service? people at Riata Ford last Saturday. You are greatly appreciated... read more

2021 Ford Escape bought less than a year ago, have an extended warranty with rental coverage, check engine light is on. I am going to have to leave the vehicle there for an unknown amount of time to diagnose, they cannot provide a loaner and say they are one month out on rentals. Calling Ford corporate to get a refund on the extended warranty as they are unable/unwilling to honor it on a new vehicle that was bought 6 months ago. read more
