I came here a while ago with my husband on our way to the city before going over to the train. The decor was cute but not 100% together. I can't put my finger on it but something was just missing. I thought that it was a good concept but doesn't compare to other coffee shops/bakeries in the area. The food was decent. This place is adorable and has great, originally food on their menu. They have an adorable seating area with books and cute decorations that make it feel like home or a place you would want to hang out and study. The service is a little slow on the weekend morning so don't go in a rush, but it is really cute with a very friendly staff. I would recommend it it you're in the area! read more

LOVE! What a friendly place. I'm in New York a lot, and this place is very reminiscent of Manhattan eateries and cafes. I ordered the hash brown waffles, and when the woman said, "okay I'm going to get started shredding your potatoes" I just new it was going to be a real treat. It took about 10-15 to make my food, but my goodness was it worth it! If your in a rush I'd see about calling ahead. It was my first time so she offered a free cookie, which was Fresh, Soft and super Tasty! Next time I'm in Bridgeport, this will be my new breakfast//lunch stop. The food was good and there are several uncommon items on the menu. If you like quiche this a great spot. My biggest complaint however is the location. I got a $50 parking ticket for parking outside this establishment. Lousy location in a lousy city. Who would ever want to come to downtown Bridgeport? Get fined for parking on the street or pay a parking garage for a 15 minute stay at a coffee shop. Either way, you're going to get punished financially just for wanting to come spend money in the neighborhood. Find a new location because I won't be coming back to this one. read more

Leisha's Bakeria is an absolute gem. We were searching for a breakfast spot in Bridgeport, and felt very lucky for this find. They're extraordinarily friendly, even sending us out with a full plate of fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, and though it took a little while for the food to arrive for our large group, we were more than happy to hang out and make use of the deck of cards and flavored water that were available. When the food did come, it was inventive and delicious, with ample portions. The music playlist was excellent too. Can't wait to go back! read more

Excellent, interesting, original menu choices. Very friendly staff, but not all in-your-face about it. I had the Bacon and Cheddar Hash Brown Waffles. It was explained to me that it would take a few minutes because the chef grated the potato right then. She said 15 minutes, but it was barely ten. Not a bad wait in such a pleasant setting. Delicious. Clean and comfortable decor, but they don't go overboard with it. Very tasteful. I read several reviews and was hoping to be offered the fabled chocolate chip cookie as a first timer. I was not disappointed. The cookie was also terrific. I recommend this gem that is well worth braving downtown Bridgeport. They even offered to refill my ice coffee before I left. This spot feels like a neighborhood place you might find in NYC or, alternatively, your best friend's kitchen. It has a comfortable feeling and always smells like something good just came out of the oven. With warm floor to ceiling windows and a cracked open door, it always feels like springtime, even in the dead of winter. This place is a great - and very necessary- addition to downtown Bridgeport. The food is creative and varied, and everything I have tried so far has been quite tasty. I recommend the "crunchy bite" sandwich (a bacon, gouda and apple panini) and the homemade apple cider. I haven't tried any of the breakfast waffles yet, but they all sound amazing. So delightful :) EXACTLY what I was looking for. The chocolate chip cookies were quite possibly the best I've ever had. I also had a blueberry muffin right out of the oven, a coconut almond breakfast bar (eaten two days later and still delicious) and the lavender scone. Let's just say this pregnant mama was satisfied.
