    "Crunchy Bite" sandwich

Cute, hip and delicious spot on the corner! Stopped in here while doing some errands, didn't even know it was there! Super inviting, friendly and accommodating customer service. My sandwich was so good! Recommend if you need a quick lunch or place to meet some friends!

Hands down the best chocolate cupcake I have ever had, and I have a large sample size to draw from. The frosting was fluffy and rich and perfect. The cake was moist and super tender. The presentation was beautiful. My pants will be upset I have discovered these cupcakes, but pants be damned! This place is known for their chocolate chip cookies (go early or they will sell out!) But I'm here to spread the word on the cupcakes! Get yourself a mid day treat. You won't regret it. Also, my lunch of the Firestone chicken melt sandwich was awesome. It was on a fresh roll with lettuce, tomato, onions, melted cheese, avocado, bacon and hot sauce. Holy crap it was good. I meant to eat half and save the other half for dinner but instead I'm in a food coma with no regrets. I will definitely be back to try more of the food menu.

Very cute and cozy little spot in this small CT city. They make some nice breakfast sandwiches; this is what I came looking for. Took the advice of the friendly gal @ the counter - got my sandwich on the Portuguese Roll - it was delicious. Bagels looked pretty big! To make Great Bread you need Great Water - Your in CT - so you are all good! Not sure if I will be returning anytime soon, now that we know that Cracker Barrel is not to far away ;-) - But, if you are passing by, I would highly recommend. A+

Stopped by this cute classic Soul Cafe:) Wow! I order my own version of a Monte Cristo and Leisha was all too happy to accommodate me and made mine with bacon which was delicious. My hubby has the Chicken Quesadilla Quiche and it was amazing! The portions are nicely sized, not like other places. Leisha is very nice and attentive to all who come into her shop, it feels like home. Her coffee served in large mugs is great! Love her sultry music in the background and the decor is adorable! Ah, forgot to mention the Blueberry muffins and cookies are to die for deliciousness!!!!

Outside has plenty of tables that wrap from the front of the shop around this side. This is high-level, social media friendly decor. Service was good overall. Coffee service was very quick. But breakfast sandwich orders were going to take 45 minutes. Raise eyebrows for sure. Looking back they set the bar low. It maybe took 20 minutes. But know that on a gorgeous summer morning, it might take a minute to get your breakfast sandwiches. The food was very good. The BEACH sandwich was tasty and filling. The iced coffee was very good as well. The fresh baked goods looked amazing. Overall, Harborview Market is highly recommended. It's a place that looks like you want to love it - if that makes sense. But it is a great spot. Off hours might be the smart approach as this place (rightfully) gets packed.

Parking is street parking only, so be prepared for that. The biggest downside was the service timing. We felt a bit rushed to place our order, but then waited about 45 minutes for the food to arrive. When it finally came out, the food was cold. The flavors were actually really good, and you could tell the food had potential, but it definitely would have been much better served warm. Overall, it's a cute place with a nice vibe, but the long wait and cold food made the experience a little disappointing.

I came to try the December special, the Duck the Halls: duck confit, sweet potato hash, arugula, 2…read moreeggs, and spicy aioli. Mine was not cut, not sure why but super tasty with tender duck meat! I also tried the pork belly bao buns: pork belly, picked onions and chimichurri and avocado. These were outstanding, with a nice crunch, a zippity do da from the picked onions and chimichurri, which was balanced by the smooth, silky avocado. Filling! And a cucumber lemonade to accompany.

Firstly, I have no idea who the Parkers are - let alone where they live, but whoever/wherever they are big fist bump on their rolls. What makes them so good? Butter. Just a little butter to crisp up the roll elevates these breakfast sandwiches. 5-start effort. The ok- service was friendly and helpful but took longer than I thought - especially based on the customer volume. Looked like a lot of hands in the kitchen but not super efficient back there. It wasn't a long wait- just a bit longer than I thought it should be for two breakfast sammies. It's a small spot. Clean, bright, some flavor. It was too nice out to eat inside. The yellow jackets thought so too. I had a few bites and left b/c I didn't want to deal with them. Overall, I'll be back. Fantastic breakfast sandwiches and looking forward to trying more things. I hadn't been to Black Rock in decades - love to see so many interesting looking spots open.

They provide a table hook to hang purses and wristlets from the side of the table - that is quite the treat! First time customers are given samples of their fountain beverages and we were also given a sample pineapple mocktail. The complimentary salsa was thick with a really nice spicy flavor. The sweet potato pancakes were warm & fluffy with just the right amount of cinnamon and the Vegan Brunch was substantial, coming with two sides of vegan sausage and bacon. The tofu eggs were scrambled with a tasty creamy spice. The owner is very personable and pleasant, speaking with us about our vegan journey. Such a wonderful Sunday brunch!

The only reason I would remove a star is the service. The restaurant wasn't very busy (just one or two other tables) but our appetizers came out at the same time as our main dishes, and we had to go up to the counter to ask for a water refill. On a positive note, the owner came out to introduce herself, and she was absolutely lovely. She shared a bit about how she and her husband started the restaurant, which gave the place a really warm, personal touch. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the food, but I hope the hostess and waitstaff can be a bit more attentive in the future. The menu is also extensive and has a lot of options!
