It is because of professionals like the one I encountered, that I dislike so much the healthcare in this country. She was rude and abrasive. Her analogies were ridiculous. To me, it really didn't matter she has been in the profession for the past 10 years. She needs some psychology and customer service classes. I wouldn't go back there, if she gave me a free treatment. It wasn't about her recommendations and the price. It was just her lack of empathy, rudeness and lack of compassion. I will totally follow her recommendations but will look for another dentist. I had a very disappointing experience with this dental office. After my initial procedure, my follow-up appointments were canceled multiple times because my dentist was sent to cover another office while their other dentist was on leave after having a baby. I completely respect and understand family leave .I am a father myself -- but the office handled this situation poorly. Each cancellation forced my wife and me to rearrange our work schedules and childcare, only to be told again that the doctor was unavailable or that the product had not arrived from the lab. At one appointment, I showed up on time and was placed in the dental chair, only to be told by an assistant that the product was not available. There was no apology, no explanation, and no acknowledgment of the effort I made to be there. Instead, I was simply offered another reschedule. When I explained how difficult it was to adjust my schedule, the response felt dismissive and unprofessional. I had even taken time off work that day, yet the appointment was canceled at the last minute. To make matters worse, my insurance and Smile Generation credit account were charged even though the treatment was not completed. Communication has also been very poor . I was often told I would receive a call back, but no one followed up. Overall, this office demonstrated poor communication, unreliable scheduling, and questionable billing practices. Patients deserve better. If you value your time and expect quality service, I recommend seeking care elsewhere. read more

I went in for a check-up and cleaning. They didn't schedule the cleaning, so I got a check up and then they tried to sell me a cleaning process that I didn't need and would have cost me out of pocket. On top of that, they never sent me an invoice, but in about a week, their collection as*holes were calling as if I had a delinquent bill. I called the office and the person at the desk couldn't even tell me what amount was due and send me an invoice. Then the collections people called me two more times within the week. I cannot give them a zero or a minus score. My Medicare Advantage plan covers this dental office, so I made an appointment for my semi-annual check up and cleaning. After they took ex-rays, the dentist informed me that I had advanced gum disease. While it could not be cured, they could help me by doing a "deep cleaning" that would only cost me $500. Now, I have never had a dentist (before or since this encounter) tell me that I had any problem with my gums. So I told them that I would think about it and left. So I didn't get my cleaning and went to a great dentist! read more

Pros: an amazing hygienist team!! Super professional, kind, and great patient education. Cons: very little availability, the office while part of a larger group has become very corporate, less than great interactions with some of the front office If you look at my reviews you know I have a high tolerance and truly try to find a positive with every business. The positives the dental hygienists here are spectacular!! They provide amazing patient education, take the time to help you, and my teeth felt great afterwards. Things they need to work on. Not sure what happened. I'd been coming here for years and as time went on I feel like they got too big too fast. The number of patients can't properly be seen by this group of dentists. They lost that personable touch they had when they first opened. They had very little availability which made things difficult. The front desk stopped caring and failed to even offer to put me on a back up list when my appointments were cancelled. Some staff also didn't seem to be too thrilled while asked questions. I don't expect a plastered fake smile but I think it's nice to be able to ask questions without getting eye rolls or sighs. Finally, about their dentists, while being worked on I don't need to hear about how awesome it is that you're doing surgical procedures on other patients. Not sure if that's the best small talk? At least not something that I enjoyed. I have given this place many opportunities and stayed for the amazing hygiene team. However, I've since left since nothing was getting better and I was being treated more like a number part of a large corporate group. Unless those things change I won't be back. read more

I went to this dental group for 3 years (stupid me). I had molars extracted and no pain meds prescribed. The charges, even with insurance, are atrocious. I did a $1,200 deep cleaning out of pocket with a laser to stimulate growth of my gums to adhere to the teeth again. I am older with lousy teeth but this was supposed to fix it. In the meantime I had a hip replacement. I had to wait 6 months until my twice a year cleaning. I arrived and the same hygienist was going to use the laser again for another $1,200. I told them no I could/would not do it or could afford it. The dentist refused to clean my teeth unless I did it her way. She sent me home to think it over and to see if I could come up with the money for the deep cleaning again. I quit Lemmon Valley Dental Group. I complained to the dental insurance and my Medicare supplemental insurance. I wish I had thought of filming her response then I would have a case for criminal prosecution for what sounded to me like extortion. It felt like that to me whether that was the intent or not. Do not go there unless you have deep pockets, appreciate abuse and unethical treatment. I got out of there. read more

I love the dentist Heather Olson, and most of the dental staff is okay, but when I went there on 10/24/24 and had an immediate denture done and the office billed my insurance which allowed $1053.40 and paid 501.70 and states my responsibility was $551.70 and my secondary insurance thru Metlife federal coverage paid $769.00 which totaled 1270.70 I was still charged 769.00 out of pocket which brings the total to $2039.70. Please see all attached proof of both insurances paying. Now it seems to me that this practice only submitted a claim for $1959.00 and refuses to give me my money back. To me this clearly is fraudulent billing, has anyone else experienced the same thing???? No wonder why most people avoid the dentist. Do not recommend. I was quoted an amount for dental work, which I approved. I have double insurance so the balance I would owe was around $75.00 for almost a $4,000 bill. Prior to the appt. I requested nitrous. I took off work and went to appt. brought to the back, seated and prepared only to be told they were missing a part to provide nitrous and to rebook in a week, no concern of me missing work, just an oopsie. In August 2024 work was performed and done around the end of last year. I was told there was an issue with one of the insurance cards, so I immediately brought in the card again and was told they would bill the insurance right away. I received another bill on January 5, 2025 again I went into the office and spoke with Hillari who asked for the insurance card again. She informed me that they were currently processing a new claim. In February I received a notice from a collection agency that I owed almost $700.00. I went in again and spoke with Krystal who asked for the insurance card again and insisted that I provide her with both cards. I told her they already billed the first insurance and no need for submitting the initial insurance card that portion was billed and paid. She continued to argue with me, in which I told her she no longer needs any further verification since I will not be returning for any further services. She continued to speak rudely and accusing me of not providing the correct information from the beginning. Its an insurance card which clearly has a phone number on it. A little common sense of picking up the phone and calling if there was an issue. But no, she would rather argue with me. On March 19, 2025 I went in the office again because of threats from collection agency. Krystal told me they would rebill insurance that week. On April 5 I received another bill. On April 7 I called my insurance and was told they never received any invoices from Lemmon Valley Dental. On April 7, I went in again and asked to speak with the Manager which unfortunately I was told by Krystal that would be her. I was told they just rebilled a few days ago and takes some time. I was told by my insurance to provide Lemmon Valley with email and fax since they do not except attachments via electronic filing. Once again Krystal argued and reluctant in writing anything down, finally writing fax and email info. on a sticky note. I also asked for copies of documentation that they removed any false collection agency actions. I asked her why after almost 7 months I am still having to pursue that the invoice is submitted. She still had the audacity to blame it on me and not having correct information. I asked her how long she has been working there and was told 2 years. I told her she is rude and should not be representing the office as a forefront. After reading several other reviews it seems to be a pattern with others regarding billing insurance practices. read more

They were very patient and kind with me on the day of wisdom teeth surgery. I was soo anxious and throwing up. I am so pissed off. My daughter had an appointment at 9. We got stuck in traffic and arrived at 9:09 and as I grab the clipboard The receptionist states I have to see if they can still see you. There is a sign that states a 10 minute grace period. I know this because I was there yesterday Oct 4th and Oct 3rd. So of course I get agitated immediately. I hear her ask some lady and she said no she has to reschedule. She tells her that I already have an attitude so I guess she wanted to show her that she can handle the situation and she comes to the front. It is now 9:10. They proceed to tell me we have to reschedule because there is check in paperwork. I respond stating I did the e-check in the night before so there wasn't any paperwork. Then the explanation changed to well we have to reschedule because we have to do x-rays. Why do she need x-rays again she had x-rays at her last visit. This was a 6 month check as a part of her bi-annual exam. Then it was we still have to reschedule because the Dr. need to see other patients . All of this is within the 10 minute grace period and she could have been prepared to be seen. In my 20+ years being in the medical field, I've never seen any establishment state a Grace period with strings attached. My understanding is of your site and sign say a 10 minute grace period, whether she needed paperwork work filled out or not she'd be seen as long as she arrive by that 10 minute mark which she did. You would also think they'd have understanding because the traffic in the area is horrible due to all of the construction. You can leave extra early and run in to traffic on the freeway and backroads daily lately. This is not the first issue with them. A while back they scheduled her a Saturday appointment and when we got there, we was told she couldn't be seen because they don't usually see kids on that day. I asked can she be accommodated because we drove there and no one called to tell us she was scheduled in error. Nope we was sent away. I sucked it up and continued to take her as the location is convenient. Well I have learned that convenience is not always best. I am waiting to see and preparing just in case they try to charge that $100 fee they have posted if you don't arrive within the 10 minute grace period. Also, I had two appointments there for myself. One yesterday and one the day before. I was called to come in early to accommodate their schedule and I did that with no problem. I still paid out of pocket for my own visits even though I have a primary and secondary which already had me feeling a little iffy. I just can't. I am finding somewhere else to go and they need to properly inform patients that 10 minute grace period is not as it seems especially knowing how horrible the traffic is in the area with all of the construction. I left early and still made it in the grace period timeframe. I will say that the hygienist Lyz Medina and the actual Dentist my daughter saw previously was great. They just need to be aware that shady staff and shady business practices are ruining the reputation of the business. The business is definitely different from when they first opened. read more

My daughter and I made appointments back in April. I left both my home number and my cell number for me, and my daughter's cell number for her, not even the home number. Apparently, somebody put the home number for her and only the home number for me, so when they couldn't fit us in today, during our scheduled time, and remember, we made these appointments back in April, so fitting us in shouldn't have been an issue since that was two months ago, they only had the home number to call since the person who took the information for the appointments was obviously not paying enough attention to put the correct numbers in, and a number that absolutely was not correct and shouldn't have even been in my daughter's appointment info at all since the lady that made the appointment specifically asked if my home number was hers and I said no and gave her the correct number, and the home number is in do not disturb permanently because of spam calls. They had no way of calling to tell us that they canceled the appointment, but couldn't be bothered to send a letter either. to me, this is one of the most unprofessional things that any company could possibly do. We showed up, and they couldn't even figure it out! All we got were apologies and we were told that we could come back in September! No thank you! If they can't even get their scheduling figured out, I don't want them working in my mouth! They wasted enough of my time, since we don't even drive! read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. Had the surgery done and 8 months later we received a bill from Lemmon Valley Dental Group that we need to pay extra $445. We called in and was told the insurance company would not cover the anesthesia. We were suggested to call our insurance company. We found out the insurance informed them of this decision one month after the surgery and Lemmon Valley waited 8 months to tell us. Three calls, three different answers. Lemmon Valley said (Version 1) "they missed or lost the letter." (version 2) "insurance company told them 8 months later." Anyway, we would appeal to our insurance company and had a verbal agreement with the manager Mitzy that they would not go to Collections while we were hearing back from insurance. Then Lemmon Valley went to Collections and sent us a Collections letter a month later. We called in and this time the to-be-manager Crystal gave us a version 3 answer that "they appealed to the insurance company and it took time." Is this how they pressure their customers to pay for a bill that doesn't get handled properly by themselves? Not only that, all the managers we spoke to were not very professional and at times, even disrespectful. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

I love this place! Great service and very caring too! Monday, I went in to get my broken molar taken out! Usually I like to get knocked out, but they don't do that here! They were very helpful and understanding about my fear of dental work! They made sure that the pain medicine and numbness was working before drilling the tooth out for 30 minutes! I had a root canal and a crown done here. I was still in pain a week later and they told me to come in. The dentist told me it was impossible for me to be in pain still because he removed the nerve. They refused to listen to me and pretty much told me I was crazy and it must be a sensitive tooth next to it. After getting X-rays somewhere else, they see the root was missed along with some of the infection. And now I have to go to a specialist in maxillofacial dentistry at renown to drill thru the crown to remove the nerve and infection. Not only does their customer service suck (they'll have you waiting an hour to check out and pay knowing damn well they told you it was gonna be a two hour appointment which has now turned to four) the billing is worse. They go over pricing with you and have you pay there, but then send you a bill. And then another bill. It's weird there and just save yourself the time, money, and patience and DO NOT GO TO LEMMON VALLEY DENTAL GROUP. read more

WHATCH OUT!!! The dentist are good but the billing is NOT! I received 5 different prices for the same procedure, root canal. 1 price was the wrong insurance, this I could accept. Next 2 prices were done before I called my insurance to check on their quote. Last 2 prices, I called them back 2 days before my appointment to ask about the pricing difference, was told I'd receive a call back. I received no call back so I thought my out of pocket expenses would be what the insurance told me it would be, I found out at check in it was not! I had a family emergency come up 24 hours before my appointment, on which they had already collected a $100 deposit. They wanted to charge me another $100 to reschedule my appointment and refused to refund my original deposit! I understand a 24-hour reschedule policy, but a mandatory 72 hours is ridiculous! Who knows 72 ahead if an emergency is going to happen? But 72 HOURS ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! And you're keeping my original deposit. CRIMINAL! I will be reaching out to the Nevada Dental Board and filing a complaint, as well as the Better Business Bureau!! I do not recommend this place at all! READ YOUR REVIEWS! I was a patient here for a while. I kept going because Liz is an excellent hygienist. I left because of all the same reasons people stated in their reviews. The front office (although very kind) are clueless. I think they are all in training and rotate on a regular basis. Billing, questions, etc. were always a problem. Even after leaving, I tried to get my records sent to me. No luck, even with that. It was frustrating every time I went. Some very good dentists are losing people because of this. This is the worst dental office I have ever been to! They literally never keep appointments and not just in my own experience, they do the same thing to my fiancé! If you're lucky you might get a call that they need to cancel the day before, however they've been so audacious as to call me less than an hour prior to my appointment! You reschedule and still get a call to cancel that one! I've moved on to a better, more professional dental office however my fiancé tried giving them the benefit of the doubt. They canceled his cleanings so much since he went in over a year ago for a deep cleaning that now they're telling him he needs another deep cleaning and quoted him double the price of the last one, with the same insurance! Used to come here with Dr wendy mejia and never had any issues, came here about two weeks ago for pain on my top left tooth, Dr olson (who i've never seen before) did like a basic exam and said "all i see is a crack in your filling it's very small" then said try a mouth guard should be fine because i've been "clenching" then the pain didn't leave at all so i called back a week later and the secretary in the front was nice enough to tell me she'll talk to olson and get back to me, well she called me back and said that olson said "i have a crack at the root and need an extraction" i was like ????? i got a second opinion because i don't wanna lose my tooth if possible, this new doc said i need a crown not a removal, he also said i absolutely do not have a crack at the root and even showed me x-rays to prove it, it's wild to me that she wanted to remove my tooth for no god damn reason. i DO NOT recommend dr olson! read more

After being with them for a couple of years, I've now had two cleanings in fifteen months due to their inability to hold appointments or to reschedule in a reasonable time. Furthermore, every visit seems to be a series of upselling. Many appointments seem to require a payment simply to be allowed to schedule an appointment that is multiple months out, no agreements are provided on paper... digital signatures are collected without any ability to double check what is being signed. I know other patients at this location as well who have either had appointments canceled at the last moment or even had to show up before being told that their appointment was canceled. I no longer trust that most of the personnel at this location have any real concern for the outcome of my treatment, instead it seems to be anything that can maximize their revenue is what will be pursued. Came in from cleaning later was told that wisdom teeth needed to be removed. After hearing about the horrors of getting them removed, I opt-out of the surgery. I forgot to mention that I opened a credit line for this surgery. Lemmon Valley Dental Group said they canceled the credit line I opened. I received no calls and letters about this credit line that this dental group said they canceled. Later saw that it never left my credit-karma account and showed a balance. I tried to dispute this more than I can count. It's been an ongoing problem since June 2019. I finally spoke with someone a year later that told me they credited my surgery balance and they took care of the interest. The cleaning I had done last year was still on my account with interest over a year that turned a 100 cleaning to a 600+ cleaning. I wish they would have called me instead of letting interest build and letting my credit take a hit. I will not recommend this place. read more

I went to this dental office and met with the dental doctor who said my teeth were terrible in not so many nice words (Heather Olson). Stated I needed a deep cleaning ($700). I over time paid approximately $350 dollars which was not refunded. I also met with the other doctor in office to explain how his partner made me feel and he charged me $20.80 for a 2 min conversation (Matthew Somerville). After 2 deep cleanings and insurance billed for all this, I meet with the perio doctor (Dustin Harrington) who says I need 12 bone and skin grafts. I have never been told, had paid or anything within my mouth for years. So I see the amount of work and price ($8000) and freeze. I get a second opinion which at this point I now need to pay out of pocket as they have used all my exam visits for the year (2). That perio doctor says there is nothing wrong and not sure where even 1 bone and skin graft could go (name can be provided). I have now gone to a regular dental doctor (name can be provided) who I have to pay out of pocket for to have my exam again paying out of pocket expenses thanks to this office, states nothing is wrong and no way any grafts are needed. His hygienist states mouth looks good as well and no deep cleanings are needed. So twice the original place has been proven wrong. Lemon Valley Dental Group did remove the remaining balance and tried to do right by that. Sadly removing that balance only hurts the very kind hygienist as she is paid for her work with that money. This issue will continue to keep happening to others. How many will just pay for the work? The office pushes and says "they can do it today" to take that money from me and others. How many do not get a second opinion or think twice to? Something needs to be done with this corporate dental office. I filed a claim with my insurance (name can be provided) but that doesn't go very far. I have filed with BBB, I plan to let the local news know. If I could do no stars I would. If I could go lower than 1 star I would. I went in to get my wisdom teeth out, was accused of being an addict due to medication history for an anxiety disorder - things I haven't been on for years. I was waiting in the chair while being connected to the machines for over an hour. The oral surgeon Charles Calder was disgustingly rude. They discriminated against myself and my mental illness. Their nurse shoved a phone in my face with a Google description of Naltrexone like I was stupid. They said they didn't know "how to deal with me" I left without getting my wisdom teeth out and was treated so poorly I will never return, which is unfortunate because this USED to be a good dentist. read more

I switched to this dentist because I moved to the area. When I first started there the office ladies were amazing and the care seemed great! After a few appointments, all of the sudden I had all these issues, according to them, with my teeth and my gums. They had me paying for specialized appointments and all. I decided to go back to my trusted dentist where I had one cavity that wasn't mentioned by this place and none of the other issues that this place was having me pay so much extra for. This has been the case for both me and my spouse! Please be careful when following their advice and paying the extra when there may not be anything wrong at all. read more
