The restaurant was very clean and had a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for date night, catching up with friends, or dining with family. The waiter was incredibly kind and helpful, especially when it came to seating us and walking us through the menu. We started with the chili chicken appetizer, which was AMAZING!!! Im fairly new to eating Indian food and after having trying a meal at Lemon I have a whole new appreciation. We came on a busy Friday night and were seated immediately and the server greeted us promptly. After asking for some suggestions I settled on the Biryani and it's a favorite for me now. I had been wanting to check out lemon for the longest time and I finally got to go this past week! I was able to go with 2 of my friends (it was their first time trying Indian food) and we had a great experience. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the host and he took us to our table. The tables are all set up nicely with glasses and plates already on there. They brought us out some appetizers. I wish I knew the name of what it was but didn't get the chance to ask. The sauces that came with these appetizers were good and had a interesting mix of seasonings. The green one i would say is the "spicy" one and the red one is more on the sweet side. I ordered the butter chicken and got it at a spice level of 2 out of 5. I also ordered a side of garlic Naan. The food came out fast and it was super delicious. there was a nice mix of different seasonings and the flavors were just amazing! I had an amazing experience with great service. Food was really good! My husband recently returned from a trip to India and wanted to share that cultural experience with me and our son. The restaurant does have a bar and drink specials. I'd like to go back and dine in. My food was delicious and still warm by the time I drove home 20 minutes away. An excellent Indian restaurant. I am a lover of great authentic food from all cultures and nationalities around the world. Lemon does not disappoint! Our son was at Skyzone in the same parking lot, so my wife and I decided to stop here for dinner on a Saturday evening. And glad we did since we may not have hit this spot for a while. It was busy on a Friday evening, but we had no problems getting seated without a reservation in their large dining room. The menu was huge! My wife and I had to have a drink first and peruse the large menu to make our choices before ordering. One thing to note, they do not serve spirits, only wine and beer. They were out of my typical go to IPA if I'm not having a cocktail or glass of wine with dinner. And glad they were! The server recommended a delicious Indian beer which I've never had the pleasure of. Crisp, light and a perfect accompaniment to the spice of the Indian food. The food was a pleasurable journey through the many Indian spices and flavors. The samosa and paneer pakora appetizers were flavorful and fresh. This samosa was the best we ever had. Perfectly fried spiced potatoes, onions, peas and cilantro. A paneer pakora is cheese dipped in chickpea batter and deep fried. Perfectly done here. We then had the chicken tikka masala, butter lamb curry and garlic naan for our mains. The chicken was a bit tough, but the tikka masala sauce was wonderful and made up for it. I could dip that naan into the sauce all evening long. Amazing naan. The lamb dish was again, one of the best we ever had. It's basically a creamier and more flavorful curry sauce. Butter just makes everything better lol. If you've never tried the butter version, come here and try it! One thing to note for anyone who can't handle a lot of spice or heat. They ask you what spice level you'd like from 1-10 for any dish. So you can order it completely mild or as much heat as you want. We haven't been given this option for all dishes at many Indian places before. So if you're on the fence regarding the spice, you don't have to worry about it here. A while ago I shared a goat dish and a spinach-gravy dish and it was delicious.. I just can't remember the names of the dishes since a friend ordered it! Mango lassi was refreshing too! My husband loves the tikka masala. I've tried some of his and the chicken is always tender, cooked through, and rich. I also recommend any of their naan and their papadum. Perfect with their complimentary chutney and green sauce or whatever sauce/curry/gravy is with your main course. We've eaten in and had great service, and whenever we get takeout the food is super hot and portions are not skimped at all. In our experiences, we're always shocked how fast the food comes out! This restaurant has been a nice addition to the Indian cuisine scene in Greensboro. There is an ownership connection with the excellent Indian restaurant on the Greensboro side of High Point, Salt & Pepper! Like Salt & Pepper, this is an upscale spot, bright and shiny in the modern style, and like S&P, buried in the innards of a rambling shopping center, this one off a busy section of New Garden Road- neither restaurant has any road visibility. We were seated quickly, ordered a nice Indian beer to sip on while we looked over the menu, and sampled the complimentary papadam with onion chutney and mint chutney ( both chutneys were ve - a nice relaxing start. I settled on the Lamb Vindaloo at a medium heat level, while my son chose the Navratan Korma - a dish we had sampled previously at S&P with much pleasure. We also ordered Garlic Naan. The orders were out in good order, well plated, portions at the typical Indian levels, meaning there would most likely be none to carry home for a second meal. The Lamb Vindaloo was perfect - tender chunks of lamb, a few potatoes, and a rich curry sauce. The spice level was about 6 out of 10. The Navratan Korma is my favorite vegetarian Indian dish. Navratan is a Sanskrit word meaning "9 jewels". It is so named because of the multitude of fruits, nuts, and vegetables the dish contains. These are in a rich tomato/cream sauce that completes the raised flavor of the dish. The Garlic Naan was very tasty, nicely cooked. The basmati rice that accompanied most Indian entrees has little flavor on its own - it's there to provide a platform for other dishes. This was a good meal enjoyed in pleasant surroundings with excellent service. The food is on par with that a S&P, and close to that at Curry and Noodle in Winston. read more

But I was wrong, and they definitely deserve some hype! The food was heavenly. My mother in law, who I consider an Indian food connoisseur, was impressed.
