We got there at 425 and could not wait- we live on vacation and all a round hitting a local brewery. We placed our order- after a it someone came out and said they were all out of pretzels (we saw a table next to us get there what look like pretzel bites not Bavarian ) and was offered pizza like rolls we said not thank you and person said they would take it off the bill. Went to the bathroom before leaving and trash compelled full ( not even open an hour that day). No soda to drink they were sold out (I don't drink alcohol so I had water) . Inside place seemed nice. My partner said the beer was good. When checking out we had to again request to take pretzel order off our bill . A little disappointing read more

Busy on trivia nights for sure!!! There wasn't really room to sit, then again we were late! The tuna tacos from the truck outside are some of the best tuna tacos I've ever had!!! Beer is very mid. Tried 3 beers before I found something even drinkable. Had the fried pickles which were not good. Also had the mozzarella sticks which is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. You can tell they lack for competition here in the middle of no-where in New York. Even the service was spotty, one older nice lady and one not so friendly younger lady. I would likely not go out of my way to come here again. read more

Anytime we are out of town, finding a local brewery is top priority. Lemon Tree Brewery was about 15 minutes from our cabin in Wells, NY. We decided to check it out on our first night in the area. We sat inside because it was a bit cold even near the fire pits. The bartender was friendly. I ordered a flight, my new usual. They had a nice selection of beer including hubby's favorite, hazy IPAs. It was cozy inside, plenty of tables as well as a few couches. The patio out back was large and offered lots of outdoor seating which would be great during the summer. Nice little mountain brewery. The atmosphere at Lemon Tree Brewery hits with a great ADK aesthetic. The beer menu has a decent offering and they serve a small selection of food items, but are average. Events like Trivia and Karaoke nights draw a nice crowd. Staff are not very welcoming tho, a smile goes a long way in hospitality. They have a big beautiful stone (gas) fire place that is seldom turned on, would be nice to have ambiance on a cold afternoon/evening). read more

All I got was the perfect day Pilsner , but it was $9 that's outrageous for a draft Pilsner . The website says $8 so they need to update that. Also the blow up machine in the front is extremely loud and annoying. Guess I'll be going to the grocery store for a 4 pack of adk beer next time. Very sad when will the price gouging end? read more

Opened 2021 and all ready a steady place to gather on the latter part of the week and weekends. Indoors warm Adirondack environment with cushy leather seating pods, fireplace, and central pouring station. Taps include other regional ales, lagers, sours. Around the back of the building more indoor seating, which may one day soon house the brewing operations. Outside dog & kid friendly seating in the front and back of the Brew Pub. We and our pup enjoyed a few games of corn hole beside the fire pits. Hope to return when their own taps are pouring. read more

I've been coming to Speculator for the last several years and wouldn't consider my trip complete without a visit or two to the Lemon Tree. Excellent beers and the space is decorated with traditional Adirondack flair. Go spend some time on the covered patio or out in the lawn with your pup. I can speak for my family when i saw we will be back!!! read more

Growlers were very expensive and the food was slow to arrive and basically freezer food. C'mon north country you can do better!

The place is cool and is nicely decorated, but the service was horrible. They messed up our orders and told us they didn't have buns for sandwich's even though they did. For some reason the buns were frozen? Besides that the food that came out was middle school lunch quality. They need to fire the woman at the counter. Don't come here. read more

Really cool spot to relax in Speculator. Good selection of craft beers, the app sampler was a huge portion (don't sleep on the Buffalo chicken egg rolls!), plenty of outdoor games as well as cards and board games inside. Kid and dog friendly. Will definitely visit again next time we're in town. read more

Don't bother getting food--the service is bizarrely slow and food unremarkable (why did it take an hour for a tuna melt?) and they didn't have most of the items listed on the menu. Visited while on a girl's weekend in the Adirondacks. The moment we stepped into the brewery, we felt unwelcomed by the person behind the bar. Kindness and courtesy goes a long way, and it was disappointing to receive such a cold réception. The beer and atmosphere were wonderful. Such a fun spot! They offer locally brewed beers and one or two ciders. There are some "snacks", such as pretzel logs, to order but there isn't any real food menu. Sitting in the big leather chairs chatting inside is delightful or enjoy the outdoors sitting around a fire pit. Definitely a must stop. read more

Overall, my experience was pretty good. I drove an hour with 3 kids to check them out. The outdoor area was very nice and peaceful. I was pleased to see they do now have one beer of their own and was told there are a couple more in the works. The food was nothing special, I got the appetizer sampler which came with 3 of mozz sticks, pretzels, Buffalo chicken logs, and pepperoni logs. It was good but not really anything remarkable. We came here to celebrate two of our daughter's birthdays. We ordered beer and apps. The staff was very unpleasant and not helpful. We came to the back then went back up front to order sandwiches for dinner. We were told that the kitchen help left and we could only order apps. If we had known earlier, we would have ordered the sandwiches earlier. They were rude and never even apologized. read more

This place is a wonderful venue but absolutely horribly managed. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I stopped in and checked if they had food (which they did) and then a minute later when I went order food they decided to stop serving. The rest of the party with us was able to order food right before us. I wouldn't have minded waiting whatsoever if there was a rush. If you're a place that advertises as serving food during certain hours, randomly stopping completing is absolutely atrocious service. I'll never, ever come back. read more

We have been patrons of Lemon Tree since they first opened several years ago. We have always enjoyed the beer, the atmosphere, as well as the staff. Last Saturday night we had out of town guests that we took to enjoy the place. We ordered a round of beers for everyone and started a game of corn hole. We finished the first round and my wife went to order another round. After waiting 10 minutes in line, she was informed, by a very rude manager, that the register was not working and they could only accept cash. My wife went back to get cash, got back in line (for another 10 minutes), just to be told they were no longer taking orders. When asked why cash would not work, the manager, in a very nasty manner, said she didn't know the price of the beers (which were written on the chalk board behind the bar), she couldn't figure out how to add things up without the register, and that the counts would be off. She was extremely flustered, and was not only taking her frustration out on the patrons, but on the staff as well (who were all trying to help her resolve the issue). Finally, 10 minutes before closing, the register was finally working, and we were allowed to order one last beer. However, once we had beers in hand, they couldn't get rid of the guests quick enough - they even shut down the bathrooms, leaving an outdoor sitting area full of guests. I felt that for a manager, to treat staff and customers in that manner, is no way to run a business. I was embarrassed for my guests, after speaking so highly about the establishment. Beyond the worst service I've ever gotten. The staff said there would be a 30 minute wait to get our food which was just some finger food quesadillas pizza etc. Meanwhile waiting patiently while seeing everyone else in the place get their food. Then when I inquired an hour after putting in the order why our food had not come out yet, I was told, I'm about to make your order now! What??? Wth was going on for an hour?? If you forgot to put the order in, then fine, just apologize and say I'll get right on it but instead the two inexperienced employees started berating me and lying saying they told me it would be an hour and then having the nerve to ask if I still want them to put the food in the oven!!! One of them claimed to be the Manager so not sure what kind of business he's operating, but if you're going to forget orders, then berate the customer for inquiring about the food, you're in the wrong business my friend. Oh and apparently half the items were not on the menu because they ran out of cheese and I saw one of the employees walking in with a grocery bag fill of cheese. These folks are obviously not in the business of serving food- just serving major punk attitude. read more
