Beer is very mid. Tried 3 beers before I found something even drinkable. Had the fried pickles which were not good. Also had the mozzarella sticks which is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. You can tell they lack for competition here in the middle of no-where in New York. Even the service was spotty, one older nice lady and one not so friendly younger lady. I would likely not go out of my way to come here again.

Anytime we are out of town, finding a local brewery is top priority. Lemon Tree Brewery was about 15 minutes from our cabin in Wells, NY. We decided to check it out on our first night in the area. We sat inside because it was a bit cold even near the fire pits. The bartender was friendly. I ordered a flight, my new usual. They had a nice selection of beer including hubby's favorite, hazy IPAs. It was cozy inside, plenty of tables as well as a few couches. The patio out back was large and offered lots of outdoor seating which would be great during the summer. Nice little mountain brewery. Perfect for a relaxing evening.

All I got was the perfect day Pilsner , but it was $9 that's outrageous for a draft Pilsner . The website says $8 so they need to update that. Also the blow up machine in the front is extremely loud and annoying. Guess I'll be going to the grocery store for a 4 pack of adk beer next time. Very sad when will the price gouging end?

Opened 2021 and all ready a steady place to gather on the latter part of the week and weekends. Indoors warm Adirondack environment with cushy leather seating pods, fireplace, and central pouring station. Taps include other regional ales, lagers, sours. Around the back of the building more indoor seating, which may one day soon house the brewing operations. Outside dog & kid friendly seating in the front and back of the Brew Pub. We and our pup enjoyed a few games of corn hole beside the fire pits. Hope to return when their own taps are pouring.

Really cool spot to relax in Speculator. Good selection of craft beers, the app sampler was a huge portion (don't sleep on the Buffalo chicken egg rolls!), plenty of outdoor games as well as cards and board games inside. Kid and dog friendly. Will definitely visit again next time we're in town.

    Outside patio area.

Beers were good, they were out of half their wines. Don't bother getting food--the service is bizarrely slow and food unremarkable (why did it take an hour for a tuna melt?) and they didn't have most of the items listed on the menu. The outdoor area is nice and spacious with cute fire pits and Adirondack chairs. Inside is like a cozy cabin.

Growlers were very expensive and the food was slow to arrive and basically freezer food. C'mon north country you can do better!

Any other time, if you are not a regular, this place might not be for you. I've been here several times with mixed experiences. The last time I was there was a Thursday in the summer of 2024. My husband, brother and I were excited to find seats at the bar and order dinner. The bartender was a short blonde woman and there was a male bar back. The bartender did not acknowledge us for over 15 minutes. We were actively looking at the menu on our phones and talking about what we wanted to try and attempted to make eye contact with her as she walked by us with no luck. She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. We left as we felt very unwelcome there and ended up having excellent service down the street at Lukin's.

We found this little gem and holy toledo did we we strike gold. First of all, the hostess was super nice and greeted us right away even though she was clearly busy and hustling. We chose to sit outside at a picnic table to soak up the beautiful weather. The outside is fun with brightly painted picnic tables and murals on the building. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered great suggestions. She was great and we really enjoyed interacting with her. We started with rum punches which were made with freshly squeezed juice and they were out of this world. We shared the "everything" wings which were crispy and that sauce was delicious. We were tempted to lick the sauce off the plate. We refrained so we didn't get strange looks. I had the Kimchi Reuben which is made with house made kimchi I might add. My husband got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. We both opted for Poutine Fries for our sides. Guys, this food was unique and spectacular. I'm just bummed it's 3 hours from home! But I'll definitely make an effort to be back.

Yuck. But their single lager and single pilsner are always good/consistent. And they have one meddle/award that they are proudly showing off, and they should but guess what kind of beer it is? A Pilsner. Take the hint you don't need 17 easy to make no effort IPAs that all taste the same. Food seems like an afterthought here. It's consistently average. They make a decent pizza here, but it's always soggy. The outside crust typically is perfect, often with a light char which is nice, but underneath the cheese and sauce, which they to put too much of on and undercook it, you wind up with a soggy slice of pizza that tastes OK. I also had their poutine recently. I can live with the vegetarian turkey gravy, which tasted pretty good, cheese curds were OK but what's going on with these fries? Soggy, brown. Are they brown because they're fry oil is disgusting? Are they just cooking the crap out of these things. I can't imagine that's the case because they're not crispy at all and taste awful. Waiting and bar staff seem to be wonderful people- they're attentive, food comes out relatively quickly. Service is not rushed. Atmosphere in this place is pretty good though I would like to have the music turned up a little bit louder so it's just not background noise and so you can actually hear the lyrics or discern what song is being played. Music done right can be part of the experience. Right now it's just a soft rumble in the background and it just becomes an annoyance. There's literally been extensive research on music in your restaurant and bar and how loud it's supposed to be and the music selection. Why places like this pay absolutely no attention to that research is beyond me. MUSIC IS IMPORTANT! Treat it that way please. Ultimately, even though the food is averaged to below average, and I can't hear the music, we continue to come back here because of the beer . Imagine if they put the same effort into their menu...
