First time here with my girl who is 2 and a half . I really love this place , very clean , very cozy ! Staffs are very nice and warm. $10 cover one adult and one kid and include drinks . Love the coffee/tea there! It's not cheap instant one! It's the capsule kind ( not Nespresso okay?but still a good one ) very impressive when I see the capsule drink machine ! I can tell they wanna market high end, and keep the price can't be beat anymore . You can see their toys are good brand , high quality . Kids kitchen is wood kind, tent is canvas kind. Even the disposable water cup and the durable crystal plastic kind . For moms like me love fancy cozy stuff definitely would love to come here. And I am going to bring more friends to here now! What can I say.. this was the second party (first was baby shower for my second pregnancy and then it was my daughters 3rd birthday) we hosted at Lemon Tree and it was perfect yet again! A few things unique to this place: 1. Centrally located 2. Super responsive communication in the planning stages (I did not even have to go in person) 3. Tasteful decor.. the place is flawlessly clean and childproof. Table decor matching our birthday theme was a hit with everyone! The lighting is so good that pics come out amazing even on iPhone! 4. Helpful Nature: on the day of the event we had two helpers who did everything.. from unloading the car to arranging the goody bags, to setting up buffet table, clean up etc. 5. Convenience: all that we had to do was show up 20 mins before the party with food and cake! Kids and adults have so much fun here.. adults can actually talk and mingle while kids play in safe area. Not only was Jiin and her staff responsive, helpful, but they went above and beyond by even providing a cake topper for the main cake. It's a great venue with the kid's play area, flat screen TV to play slideshows, and a cute cafe area for the adults. The highlight was the cake display which was personalized with letters of his name and pictures. Bathrooms are family friendly with changing tables and diaper pail and there were plenty of high chairs. This place is mostly for venues with a little play-ROOM for the little ones to hang out. Pricey (they wanted to charge for 5month old who doesn't even seat yet) and dirty. They make customers take off their shoes, yet some of them walk with they shoes all over the place. Also, you have to be alert and don't take your eyes off your child - beacuse the place is tiny, kids are very close together and many children don't like to share and are very rude (my daughter cried a few times beacuse there was this other girl who continuosly kept taking stuff away from her while mom was watching FB videos). I had my shower here and initially, the owner (I think) was very nice and very responsive when I was interested in booking the venue. She was very thorough with instructions to the venue, parking, and venue policy. (the "no shoes" policy was extremely strange. Had I known that I would've just had the shower in my home or elsewhere). Well, on the day of the event, my sister arrived 10-15 minutes early and she thought the door was locked so she waited in the car but 5 minutes before our time slot, she walked in not knowing the door was unlocked, the employees were NOT friendly. I repeat, NOT FRIENDLY and not only that, they would not let us in to set up early (just 5 minutes!!!) Not ONE minute before but the biggest disappointment was during my event, the ladies who worked there were not helpful (as stated in my contract) AND instead of nicely coming up to me to let me know that I have 10-20 minutes left for my event and if I wanted to extend for extra charge, they started sweeping. Even my friend who was Korean felt that they were extremely rude to us. I emailed the owner the next day or so to ask for a statement/invoice of services and she did not respond and was very short when she did much later. I will never come back as they were not accommodating nor friendly to us during our event. They were very lousy after we paid the bill but the thing for me was how rude they were. DON'T COME HERE! I had my son's first bday party here last weekend. I wanted to give them 5 stars but I had to take one off because they started cleaning up before my party was even over. I find this to be very tacky. Especially since my party was the last party for the day. I could understand if maybe another party was going to start right after mine but even then they give plenty of time for clean up... The impression that my guests and I got was that they wanted us out when we still had 30 more mins of time. That was not cool. I think that they should definitely change the time frame for the parties to 3 hours. I feel that with just 2 hours I didn't have enough time to mingle with all of my guests. Especially for the price. I also didn't like that they rush you because they are constantly reminding you that it is almost time for the cake of presents or what have you. They got a full 4 stars for the decor and the actual venue. There really isn't anything else like that out there. Aside from the price and the cleaning up early this place is near perfect. [Price breakdown for your reference: $500 for the venue for 2 hours party time, $350 for the photographer, $150 for the dessert table I got $100 off for booking them all together but not sure if that is a running promo or just a special for the month.] I cannot speak to the skills of the photographer because I haven't seen my pictures yet but I am sure they are going to be beautiful. We met our friend here for New Year's Eve to our holiday exchange and playdate! They offer coffee, tea and water as well as snacks and juice for purchase. The pros: They accept card. Busy moms may not always have a chance to stop for cash! Their hours seem consistent and are open daily. Bathrooms are clean and there is a changing table. The cautions: Parking maybe limited, and it is right before the car wash and adult store if you're heading north. My friend and I both missed the drive way to turn in. If the teepee is by the front window, and it is sunny, it can get quite warm and stuffy so you may want to admonish your little one to take a break. Shades or blinds would be a great addition even though the large windows that let the sunlight in are such a nice feature. In conclusion, this is a great play place for both mom/dad/grandparent/nanny/caretaker and kid to break from the monotony. We loved this space and will definitely be back, but I did want to leave a few pieces of feedback for this new business though: 1) Was surprised when about 20 minutes into our visit we noticed we were suddenly being filmed- which continues for about 20 minutes. We were not asked, were not informed, and were not asked to sign a release. This made me very uncomfortable since we paid entrance and it not only impacted our comfort level but also made me worried that video of our babies would be used somewhere without our knowledge or permission. 2) Would love to have the cafe element developed further- espresso bar + more snack for parents would be AMAZING! :) read more

Pros: Very clean Friendly staff Calming and cute decor Small enough to keep an eye on your kiddo but big enough to have a place to sit and drink your coffee or snack. The option of a drink, snack, or even lunch Cons: Price- at 15 bucks a pop it definitely feels a little steep for a 2 hour time limit. I would probably frequent more often at 10. (I know only 5 bucks but it just sounds better lol) Location- this place is definitely in an interesting location for a kids place considering it is squeezed between the 24 hour "adult arcade" and a liquor store with limited parking. Great place to come during rainy days or even just a more relaxing playtime for mom/dad. The fee is $10 for up to 3 hours and for $2 you have access to their coffee/tea bar which right now consist of a kruerig. The play area is brightly lit and fairly organized and clean. The decorations are super cute. We arrived at 10am right when they opened and we were the only ones there so it was very calm. Towards 11 it got very chaotic but still manageable. We ordered bento boxes from the counter which is ordered from the restaurant next door. It does take awhile so like the sign says order about 30 min ahead of time. There's high chairs to use and a changing table in one of the bathrooms. The price is a bit steep but its clean and fun for the tots so I think its worth it. We celebrated our son's 1st (dol) party here last Saturday. Such a lovely venue and staff! The dolsang was beautiful. The kids entertainment area was perfect. All the kids (aged from 1-9) loved it. The photographer was very patient and took all the pictures we needed/wanted. The Lemon Tree Event staff is AWESOME. They're so patient, kind and helpful. Our guests were having such a great time that no one was leaving even though our time was up. We had to gently usher folks out. The staff did not say anything, but we felt bad. THANK YOU so much for making our son's dol party less stressful and very memorable. We will never forget. :) read more

I have legitimate PTSD from my older son's dol. I tried to DIY everything and still woke up in cold sweats thinking about my 2am nights covered in hot glue in a wrestling match with my cricut machine (RIP). Much older and wiser this time around, I launched in a search for the best dol (1st Korean birthday) party planner I could find in the bay area. Yelp search yielded few results (this is clearly not LA, people). My search results directed me to Jiin, the undisputed dol planning champion of south bay. I was sold immediately. To further answer my prayers, Jiin even told me that she was opening a brand new event space in Santa Clara as a one-stop shop. She was patient, responsive and accommodating during the entire planning process. I ended up booking *everything* through her-- event space, decor package -- and used her recommended suppliers for catering, cake, and photography. Heck, if she tried to upsell me on a house, a car, and a grandma, I'd probably have thrown that in, too! She delivered. Decorations were unreal, food was flowing, the space was perfect to hold 8 rambunctious kids and keep them out of our hair, toys were brand new, cake and photographer on point. I literally showed up when the guests arrived with nothing except baby in hand and even got to enjoy the party. Highly, highly recommend this as your one-stop dol shop. I would not hesitate to book another event here in the future! read more

*Reviewing as a guest* Came here for a friend's baby's 1 year old party. I believe she mentioned everything was included (even a photographer) thus making it easy to book and sit back and enjoy. Interior was really cute, quaint, with 2 rooms (one for dining, one as a play area). The decor was in tune with the theme of her party which was The Little Prince, down to signage and color palette. Food was buffet style with decent Korean food. Parking is limited and it's not in the best location as it's situated near some adult stores. I've had several emails and phone conversations with the party planner and she is so wonderful! Most of all, she is extremely patient. Such an awesome space for moms and kids, especially if kids are under 2.5 years old! What a great place to arch up with a friend or even with your spouse (lol) while the kids play for a bit. The owner was super nice when I went in with my two girls dyeing the soft opening. I would bump this up To five stars when they can create some morning classes for the 3-5 age group and add some better food to their menu. Also knocked one star because I feel the price is a lite high. It's ten dollars to Go in but I don't know if that's worth it. If it were five dollars, I'd be more likely to go more often. had my daughter's first birthday here and there really isn't anything special about this place other than the fact that there aren't many venues in this area with the clean modern look. my sister arrived 9 minutes early to help me set up and they wouldn't even let her start a little bit early. i get that rules are rules but come on now, there has to be some sort of flexibility. we were the first party of the day so the excuse that they still need to clean up makes no sense, shouldn't you have cleaned and prepped the day before prior to closing shop? and they only give you 30 mins to set up which i think is unreasonable given the fact that you pay a good amount of money for a 2 hour party time limit. you can bring your own food, but not your own drinks so the drink chest really is just another way for them to make money. the venue works for the quick one year old party, but i don't think i would have another party there. i forgot to mention that we left our high chair there and they didn't even bother to reach out to us to let us know we left one of our belongings there. from past experiences we usually get a call or email to let us know we left something behind. read more

OK, so not really worth 4 full stars (yet), but I really want to support this place as I have been wanting to see more of this type of establishment for a long time. It does deserve 3.5 stars though. The good: . I love the concept. Relaxed, clean and open space to sit and drink coffee with friends while the little ones play safely close by. . Space is light and airy, and although it was cold when I first got there, staff quickly put the heating on in response to their customers needs. . Clean and new. . Shoes off before you enter. Yes, even the grown ups :) . food and beverages available . parking out front and behind . friendly, helpful staff The not-so-good . costs $10 for you and one child for 2hrs. For that price he/she can play and you can sip complementary tea or coffee. The big negative here for me is the coffee was awful. Keurig type thing which I tried, but frankly it was gross and I tossed it. So $10 for my kid to play with some toys is a bit steep. . Although the space is nice, it's not vast. We didn't last the full 2hrs and I don't think we ever will as there isn't really enough here to keep most kids entertained for that long. . parking is available, but it is limited. And whatever you do - do NOT park in front of the next door stores; apparently they will get you clamped! . I love the idea of chatting with my friends over coffee while our children play, but in reality this means large groups of other women, all deeply engrossed in their conversations and not paying any attention to their kids, who continue to push/shove/hit your child, and you are forced to settle all arguments without 'crossing the line' because the other child's mother is too busy laughing with her friends or deeply engrossed on her smart phone. . food and drinks are available for purchase, but menu is limited and prices are a little too high. As I said, I have been wanting to see this kind of place in the area for a long time, so I am happy that Lemon Tree exists. However, I think I'll wait a while before I return, in the hope that things improve a little. They're still new after all, but do give them a try! read more

We organized a birthday party for our 1-year old son a couple of days ago and ordered the full package (photography + place rental + decor table rental). It really turned out to be a great experience: All the guests we invited have kids around similar age and they really had lots of fun in the play area. The photographer, Tedd, has been doing a great job in helping guest take party photos as well as capturing good moments for the event. We are super happy about the quality of the photos which are delivered faster than expected. Last but not least, the event helpers also spent quite some effort in catching the babies' attention and prevented them from being distracted. I just experienced the most inept booking situation ever. I had been trying to find out availability for a date and they gave me the runaround. First they say yes when I call, then they tell me To email them and I do and they respond that no, they no longer are available. Then (within hours) they say actually they got the date wrong and actually are available. So I email immediately with questions that I have and that I am very interested and they don't respond until two days later and say that the date is not available again. And when I ask, all they can say is that they get multiple inquiries for the same date and time and someone else booked it first. What the hell?!?! Just celebrated our daughter's 1 year birthday here on the weekend, and everything went off without a hitch! The venue was a perfect size for our group, the play area was awesome and kept all the little kiddos very busy, the place was clean and spotless (even the bathrooms), they make you wear slippers and leave your shoes outside (thank goodness), and best of all, the customer service here is TOP NOTCH. From the moment we found the venue to the end of the party, Jiin was exceptional! She was super responsive, sent us tons of pictures, provided a bunch of options, worked with us on the price, was extremely accommodating to our guests, was present the entire time (never once saw her chit chatting with other employees or on her phone not paying attention), and made sure we were comfortable. I was confident, never having seen the venue, that the setup would be great! We did the traditional Korean dol setup for our daughter. The food that was catered through them was delicious, there were kids options/beverages, and the rice cake party favors were perfect! I would highly recommend this place as a party venue, and if I didn't live 1.5 hours away, I'd bring my kids here all the time so I can spend some time with my friends over a cup of coffee and snacks! Lemon tree is AWESOME! We hosted a baby shower party here. Jiin, Jaimie, Katie and Abigail were all super helpful. They made it so easy for us to relax and enjoy the party. Here are the highlights of this place that differentiates them: 1. Responsiveness: Jiin was very responsive all the time and never hesitated to answer my thousand questions! She also was always flexible in making sure we get the most personalized attention and preparation. 2. Creativity: this place is already very creative with bright lighting and welcoming decor. To add to that their party decor and details are amazing.. like custom signs, table center pieces etc. 3. Hospitality: Abigail and Katie were extremely hospitable.. from keeping the place clean, decorated and ready, to making sure they refilled the buffet to smiling and being friendly! They even helped clean up and packed all the left overs, helped serve cake etc.!They made it such a pleasant experience! 4. Photography: Jaimie was amazing! She blended so nicely with our guests and took pictures very thoughtfully.. she made sure to ask who is family, and suggest we get pics with every guest and made it all seamless! 5. Kid Friendly: this place has a separate kids area which is safe and clean with lots of toys.. it made sure kids and adults are happy in one place and get best of both worlds! What we loved most was that we came in 15 mins before the party with cake and food. They did everything.. from keeping place ready, to setting up buffet and cake. We just had fun! This place is amazing!!! We just celebrated our daughters one year at Lemon Tree the past weekend and it was absolutely the best! The staff is very professional, very attentive, and goes over the top to keep their guests happy. We had a lot of kids who had such a great time with Lemon Tree's set up from the building blocks, playing in their teepee tent, tools sets, and more. I would give them 6 stars if yelp allowed! This is the perfect place to have a party for your little kiddos. My friends said it the best, "Lemon Tree handles everything from food, to supplies, to photography, and cleaning.
