Came by for some lunch. We ordered the chimichurri steak sandwich (a la carte) and a bowl (miso short rib, cauliflower rice, pineapple chicken and green beans, and truffle mac and cheese). I did the Yelp checkin for the free lemonade. Food was provided in to-go containers. We were able to sit at a table outside. Everything was good but the best item was the sandwich. I wasnt sure what to expect but the sandwich ended up being very good. Definitely something I will think about when I want a sandwich. The least liked item was the miso short rib. Every time we are in the area of on of these restaurants we make it a point to stop. When I say we, I am speaking of my whole family. Even though my kids are grown adults, we stop in when we are in California vacationing together. Jumping on a little late to the Lemonade train. I've walked by Lemonade at Pacific City dozens of times, but I never had the urge to dine here. After a weekend of celebrating birthdays (aka, binge drinking) I decided to give their healthy eats a shot. My hangover recovery plan consisted of the Pineapple Mango Lemonade and a build your own protein plate: roasted chicken breast, heirloom red rice and two sides: curried cauliflower and roasted brussels. This was exactly what I needed to bounce back for a busy week! The roasted chicken breast was both tender and juicy. I also loved the smokey red sauce that was served on the side. My two sides were both yummy and I'm excited to try their famous mac and cheese during my next visit. Overall, you can beat the fresh air and ocean breeze. PC's Lemonade has one of the best views in town and it's about time I start taking advantage of it. read more

I'll be honest, I wasn't impressed the very first time I went to Lemonade (at Fashion Island, though). The portions were small and what I got was blah. But work had lunch catered from here and my review has now gone to 4 stars! This review is solely for this location and only for the few items I order from here. I LOVVVEEEEE the hatch green chile bowl. It's seriously soooo bomb!!!! And the added crunch from the "street corn" just makes it oh so good. Decided to eat healthy and we wanted lemonade. The restaurant is aptly named, there were some decent options for different lemonades. We got the Strawberry Mint, Pineapple Mango, and Lavender Elderberry lemonades and each had a good distinct taste but my favorite was the Elderberry. It was very unique and tasty. All of them were so fresh, you can actually taste and eat the pineapple and strawberry bits of the other 2 lemonades. They have ample outdoor seating and it's well shaded. I got the Seared ahi tuna bowl and my daughter got the mango chicken bowl. My tuna tasted so good with the sauce and the Cali flower rice. It also came with edimame and a hearty salad. The poki bowl is delicious. The customer service was lacking. I fully realize they might be short staffed but customers need to be acknowledged as they walk in and need to wait. The guy behind me finally left. Only one persons working the food line and after she checked out the customer before me she started to take the drink line. I used to really enjoy coming to Lemonade. The location inside the Pacific City mall is ideal. But they made some pretty drastic changes since the last time I was here and it has completely kabashed the appeal. Guests used to be able to browse the beautiful salads and hot entrees through clear glass and assemble lunch or dinner from the selections. Now the selections are all hidden behind opaque glass (why??) and the menu is super complicated. Maybe if the staff was trained to help us figure things out now this new model would be salvageable, but that hasn't happened so I don't know what to tell you. Please bring back the clear glass right away and help the staff make us diners feel like we matter. read more

Disclaimer: I've only ever had the vegetarian sides at Lemonade. I love this Lemonade! I eat here almost every time I come to Pacific City with a large group, because it's just so convenient. Everyone gets to order whatever they want, and there's gorgeous outdoor seating with a view of the water. On the weekends there's even usually a live performer out on the shared patio space. In terms of the food - my favorite salads are the curried cauliflower, tomato & avocado salad, and butternut squash. The mashed potatoes are super creamy and the truffle Mac & cheese is delicious too (but I think too heavy/large for a single person - my husband and I always share it and still have some leftover!). The lemonade is tasty too! My favorite is just the original but my husband likes to mix different lemonades with the ice tea to try something different each time. Fake Health Food. Worst customer service. Filthy establishment. Horrible food. Health Concerns. Calling the Food and Health Department Was out shopping and needed to eat dinner and was looking for some healthier options in the area. I saw that this place had 4 stars and some of the more recent reviews looked positive. It's quite clear to me now that either these yelpers have no idea what they are putting in their mouths OR all the reviews are fake (possibly a combination of both?). First off walking into the "restaurant" was off putting to say the least. There was stains everywhere. Stains on the door handles, the glass was covered in what I assume is food/drinks. There was food all over the floor, bits of food on the counter. It looked like a bunch of tweeners had a food fight in here and then nobody cleaned it up. There was no line but we stood there waiting for 1 of the 6 people working there to pay us any attention. If we would have known how clueless the worker was going to be, we would have gladly waited another 10 minutes for someone else. So when I saw the worker helping the customer before, he had gloves on. He took them off and then never put new gloves on and then started to serve us food. This place either has no health standards or their employee training is non existent. We asked him a few basic questions because we had never been to this place before. Like what are our base options. He couldn't answer that question and someone standing in the back (not even facing us) answered for him. I could literally spend another 5 paragraphs describing how inept this guy was at his job, but it is not worth the readers or my time. The restaurant was out of 40% of all the proteins and 50% of all the sides. When we asked how much longer before new items would be ready we were greeted with a look of complete emptiness. I looked at his face and it appeared as though his entire nervous system was about to shut down. "Let me go check" He comes back and then doesn't even address the question and asks us what we want. All of the food here looks like it was soaking in a hot water bath for the entire weekend. Even the proteins looked so sad. I chose the least sad protein (chicken thighs) and it looked like a wet sloppy dumpster fire. Somehow even though it appeared wet, you could tell underneath the moist outer layer, the inside was going to be dryer than beef jerky. I wish I was wrong, but I wasn't. Another food item that was highlighted as being "the best" per the yelp reviews was the mac and cheese. HARD PASS. Again, why was the food so wet? And yet somehow, there was undercooked mac noodles and overcooked cheese in other areas. Paying for the food took an extra 8 minutes because there was 6 people working there with 2-3 cash registers but only one person sort of wanted to work. You could tell the people waiting to pay were getting frustrated because none of the workers were doing anything productive. Later after we paid, we walked through a maze of trash and food all over the floor. There were a good amount of tables in the place, but all of the tables and chairs were dirty. I honestly have no clue how they don't have bug and rodent issues in this place. There was filth everywhere. Eventually we gave up looking for a clean place to sit and we just cleaned our own area and cautiously sat down. I already described the food above. The food was flat out disgusting. Inedible. THE ONLY SAVING GRACE = neither of us got sick from eating the little bit of food we had at this place. Super blessed that we didn't get food poisoning. While we were trying to find bits of food within the meal that were edible, the clueless worker decided he was going to try to clean up the restaurant floors. I didn't know there was a way to improperly use a broom to sweep up trash, but he proved me wrong. Just a regular house broom with the long bristles and everything. He also then thought it would be ok to spray chemicals on the floor on top of the food/trash filth and then try to "mop" it with the broom. Remember this is not even a push broom, just a regular broom. Literally making the restaurant no less clean and at the same time much more unsafe b/c the floor was now wet. This place is a total disgrace to the Food Industry. I have no idea how they can even afford to stay open in this prime location in Huntington Beach serving this slop to the public. Owning and running a business is very difficult, but the basics are all the same. Produce a quality product people want, hire/train your management team, hire and train your staff, maintain a clean and safe environment. Utter and complete failure of meeting even the most fundamental building blocks of any business. Do better for your patrons, your staff and more importantly for your self respect. Do Not visit this establishment. They haven't earned your time or money! read more

First, I would like to point out that the staff deserve 5 stars. Nicest people and very helpful. I like the variety in food and the location is nice. But maybe the location is the reason why the prices are kinda steep. This place tries to be unique in my opinion. Poke bowls are not normally what you would get. For example, we got the salmon poke bowl. Comes with a scoop of salmon but it's mostly diluted with pickled radish/pineapple/apples, some kind of mystery pickled cubes. Did I mention just one scoop? Then it comes with very filling buckwheat peanut noodles. This was around... $12-$13? If you would like one more scoop of protein, its $7 more. For the steep price and trendy hip ingredients, I think I would just search for a regular poke shop. read more

Used to be my go to for healthy quick and creative salads. However recently I feel the PORTIONS have gotten smaller and there options are hit or miss. For example one classic salad is the CHICKEN WITH GREEN BEANS which is delicious and spicy. But unfortunately they have changed the truffle mac and cheese which used to be more cheesy and thick with smaller noodles. The CUCUMBER LEMONADE is still my favorite but the food seems to be far too over priced for the portions and during my last experience the service seemed slow and confused and there wasn't any new salads that seemed too appealing. Hope this place picks up again and begins to capitalize on its CREATIVE style while maintaining its quality and value like it did during my first experience 15 years ago. I frequent the Lemonade in Newport Beach often and am a fan. I've also been to several other Lemonades in LA. I always get the same items: soba noodles, roasted broccoli, and ahi tuna poke. Always good. Always tasty. A plus: they pack on the food. Today I decided to try Lemonade in HB for the first time. My experience was less than impressive. One word: inconsistent. I ordered my usual 3 items. My sister ordered soba noodles, ahi tuna poke, and the new turkey panzanella. We placed the orders together but somehow my sister's portion of ahi tuna poke and soba noodles were much more than mine. Ahi tuna poke wasn't filled to the top of the cup and for some reason, the guy felt the need to put a lid on one of the cup but not the other one. My sister's TURKEY panzanella has tomatoes, avocados, bacon, and croutons.... but no turkey?! Portions were skimpy. Flavors were lacking and bland. Bad experience overall. We left hungry and not satisfied. The only thing I will give them is they try to be nice and provide good service. But overall quality is lacking. read more
