I don't know whether they have a new chef or what but the last couple visits to L2 have been disappointing. I chalked it up to just a bad night one night since the place has always been a good stop for lunch and occasional dinners, but after the second and third time of disappointing meals, it was time to go back to Lemongrass on West Street. Hopefully, they were still doing the tasty, flavorful dishes I love the way I loved them -- the green curry with shrimp and the soft shell grabs with the spicy chili, basil, garlic sauce. To be fair, their appetizers are still some of my lunch favorites -- specially the crispy string beans that I couple with their tangy and spicy Tom Yum soup. I have not given up on L2 yet, so maybe I will revisit the place and revise my review but for now, I can't recommend it. read more

Great service and great food! The staff was incredible. They constantly checked on my table and made sure everything was ok. The hosts sat us immediately and brought us water only seconds later. Even then our waitress appeared after a minute and recommended the best drinks (Mai Thai and mohito!) Our string beans and calamari came out fabulously and the pa ram long song (graciously recommended by our server) and pad thai were SO GOOD! My family's new favorite restaurant. The ordering and pickup was great. The food is OK but overpriced for what you get. I got Pad Tai and spring rolls and steamed broccoli and the steamed broccoli was the best of the 3 items. Maybe if it was ordered and eaten in the restaurant, the quality of food would have been better. read more

I was disappointed to say the least. The dumplings were not even dumplings when I got them the meat was exposed and the noodle layers were on the tray... not sure what happened but the dipping sauce had a funny taste. The papaya salad and Tom yum lacked flavor and spice, the pad Thai was alright but also nothing spectacular. The plus was I ordered on the yelp app and it was ready right when I got there, the cashier was pleasant. I would say save your money and try somewhere else, Like the one on west st. read more

The place is run by a bunch of teenagers. My stepsister can never remember the name of the type of red wine she likes - well the waiter was no help - he had no idea what types of red wine they had either. And the place is Zagat rated?? Really? The music seems to be whatever the staff decides on that day (quite inconsistent). We just stopped going there the last time the waitstaff seemed like they had much more important things to do than to wait on us (the only one recently who spent much time with us did so because he was complaining about his dad). I can't complain too much. The food is good, but certainly not the best in town. Service is usually spot on, if not a little slow. The Asian-modern decor is pleasant and the music they play is good, but not very... Thai restaurant-ey. I always go for the drunken noodle because it's my favorite Thai dish. Actually I always get it at any Thai restaurant. Man, I should broaden my horizons. Don't order the "Thai Clouds". I think that's what they're called. They sounded angelic. Went here with a group of 6 people and had an alright experience. We ordered an appetizer sampler that came with calamari (my parents said this was great), crispy green beans (SO GOOD), spring rolls (meh), wontons (didn't taste), and satay chicken (didn't taste). It was a nice assortment but the green beans stole the show. My entree was drunken noodles with tofu and although the tofu was cooked fairly well, the noodles seemed undercooked. It was nicely spiced but the chewy noodles were distracting. My father got the same dish but with chicken and said his noodles were chewy too. My husband got spicy beef salad to start, which he said was ok, and Pad Prik King with pork, which was also just ok. We've been here many times, and the service has never blown me away. It seems like they might be under new management, we went in on a Sunday night and it seemed like all middle-aged guys, when we've had college students for servers before. Our server seemed like he had a lot going on, and he was fairly attentive but when my dad wanted a second beer, he had already walked away. We also weren't offered the spice/relish caddy thing, or chopsticks, while the neighboring table was. Weird. There are also some nitpicky things like the walls being dirty and desperately needing paint that detract from the ambiance. Overall all, an ok experience, but not my favorite Thai in the area. read more

As a long ago visitor to the original Lemongrass I remember being wowed by the atmosphere and delighted with the food. Sadly, my first visit (and likley only visit) to Lemongrass Too left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere was decent - reminds me of many other asian fusion restaurants with light colored wood and bright colors. I loved that we were able to sit at a long high top table! I found the prices to be expensive for what we got and the food just a-okay. Nothing exciting about it. It was actually pretty bland in comparrison to other Thai places I've been to. I also thought the service was very slow considering it was not busy at all. We had to ask for water refills and waited a really long time for our checks to be delivered and then our cards to be picked up. Sometimes expansion is good. In this case, I vote not so much. This place lacks the zest of the original Lemongrass. Keep trying Lemongrass Too. read more

I ordered the Pad Thai with Fried Tofu with a spring roll and was extremely underwhelmed. It only contain 4 pieces of tofu- they should be ashamed of that portion even for a lunch sized plate. There were a few stalks of green onion and measly fried egg throughout the noodles. It was mostly noodles and comparing this to Noodles and Company' and their Pad Thai, which they are not a Thai restaurant, Noodles and Co. is way better. The spring roll was BLAND! Definitely will not be returning. The only reason for the two stars was because of rapid takeout pickup and decent flavor of the Pad Thai. read more

Set into the corner of the Housely Rd shopping center like the ignored middle child, Lemongrass Too is a great place to pick up lunch. The interior is non assuming like the location, and although the name carries the Too moniker - this place still has a full Thai menu like its sister location. Skip the mall foodcourt and head across the street for a much nicer lunch in terms of food and ambience. The interior is no frills and reminds me of a NY noodle bar. When the weather is nice, there is a patio outside to sit at under shade. I recommend getting the satay chicken as an appetizer - they give you a lot of chicken and it is cooked just right. The brown glaze as a dipping sauce is really good. For entrees, the Pad Thai is done right - sweet noodles and with crushed peanuts on the side. The Pad See Lew noodles are great too - wide and tasty - but the portion is a little small if anything. read more

This usually less busy version of the downtown Annapolis location features roughly the same menu. Service is usually better at this location and therefore I am giving it one more star than the downtown Annapolis location. We've tried the drunken noodles and the green curry and both were pretty tasty. Neither one was overly spicy and the portion size was reasonable for the price. Probably the biggest downside of this location is that it is inconvenient. You need to go deep inside a shopping center to find this place, but once you do you'll probably have a pretty good lunch. read more

Food tastes good and service was great. This was our first time trying Thai food and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was nice and seemed very clean. I did hear the couple next to us say they didn't like their appetizer. We got the crispy wontons for the appetizer which we both enjoyed. I was on the area for work and decided to stop for lunch. I love Thai food so when Waze gave the suggestion I headed over knowing it was close enough to other places I knew I'd like if this was a bust. Pulled up and thought it was out of business...no curb appeal, very dark but I knew it was opening in a few minutes and there were several people waiting for the doors to open. And, I'm glad I joined. It's fantastic. The decor is great, it's very clean and everyone was courteous. There's s lot of great menu choices and I ended up with thai fish cakes and tom yum soup, both delicious! Oh! And I was surprised with outdoor seating on a super cool patio. There's only 2 of these 'beds' so I'm sure they go quick in the evenings but I'd love to come back for date night, I'll be getting a cucumber basil smash! Ha read more

My boyfriend and his friends went out two nights ago for dinner. I had just gotten my wisdom teeth taken out so I couldn't go, but asked for him to get me some food to go. I asked for the Tom ka soup and the mango sticky rice. When he came home, the entire order was wrong. The rice was plain white rice and the soup was just a regular chicken soup. When I asked him what happened, he said he ordered exactly what I texted him and the waitress seemed like she was drunk or something was off. The following day I tried calling during lunch and dinner to tell them what happened, and the number for the restaurant doesn't work and goes to their voicemail. I even went in for lunch, and of course they were closed. I never complain and I hate doing so, because I used to be a server, but besides the order being wrong, I find it unacceptable for there to be no means of talking to someone who works here about what happened. read more

Spent Mother's Day lounging on the cabana out back, what a treat! Better, if not best Thai in Annapolis. We had the fried green bean appetizer with sweet & hot chilis, calamari, chicken satay (for the wee one), and beef pad thai for the adults. We had a pair of nicely iced Thai coffees to stave off that Maryland spring humidity. Lemongrass Too is definitely a hidden little gem tucked in the corner of a shopping center. We've passed it up for 5 years. Now that we're leaving Annapolis, we're so glad we finally had some decent Thai food. Oh, and when you go, don't forget to ask for the spice carousel. Food was great!!! Service wow sucked though he was very nice he was lacking motor skills!!! Got there around 9:30 they closed at 10. We got the look of "great closing soon" the girl whom greeted us looked over for approval before we were allowed to sit. After asking for a high chair which consisted of one that was broken with no front I almost considered leave for that reason alone!! Server came over got our drink orders came back asked for them again an took our app order after a few moments he came back with our drinks an asked for the app order again! After 15 mins he finally came over for the dinner order to where he returned 2 more times for the order again. Very forgetful think he had a drink or THREE! It's now 9:50 a couple walks in for dinner he gave them the cold shoulder then basically said hey we close in 10 take out would be a better idea! Could not beleave that, as a server myself I live on tips didn't look like he cared to much! All in all he was very nice to us just out on vacation! Ordered two out of the three items from the lunch special but wasn't informed there was a lunch special and subsequently charged twice the price I would have paid if I had been informed about the lunch special. Everyone isn't familiar with your restaurant or menu, the wait staff should atleast try to be informative. For all of you that may try this place...there is a lunch "special" menu. I've lived in Annapolis for 4 years now and this is the first time I've ever been to a Lemongrass. I love me some Thai, but I've avoided Lemongrass because of what I've read in reviews about the poor service. I have to say I do agree that the service was less than attentive, but the food was very good. I don't like having to flag my server down as he's walking by my table in order for me to get another beer. He should be checking to see how empty my glass is and asking me if I want another. We started with the satay chicken skewers and they were tastily seasoned. I ordered the duck curry dish, the broth was a little watery, but it had plenty of duck meat in it. Overall, I enjoyed it. My wife and I have gone to this restaurant many times since it was opened. We have observed that the quality of experience continues to deteriorate. Tonight I ordered a gin martini on the rocks. It arrived in a traditional martini glass full of ice. It was overflowing and spilled on the table when delivered. We ordered lettuce wraps with chicken. The chicken was mushy and there was no sauce to put on it when placed in the wraps. Ordered muscles, but about 20% were not opened, and I had to struggle opening them with a table knife. When I requested a small fork I was informed that none were available so I used a table fork. It is difficult to retain skilled help. The waiter was very pleasant and had a can do attitude but he was not adequately supported by the bartender and kitchen staff. I doubt that we will return anytime soon. This restaurant will not be in business much longer unless it gets its act together. read more

I got beef Pad Thai last night togo and I am not sure what happened but when I got home and took a bite I almost got sick. The beef tasted like seafood and the dish smelled like fish even though I ordered beef. It was not at all what I expected from Lemongrass. I was craving Thai food all weekend and decided to treat myself last night. I have not been to Lemongrass in a long time. Maybe it was an off night and the end of busy week for the chef but clearly beef should not taste like fish. It literally made me gag. read more

Been enjoying the food from this Lemongrass satellite location for years. The food is amazing. Dining in at this location puts a "stick" on everything. The floors and tables seem to be a bit like walking on/touching a fly trap. The servers carry wine touching the tops of glasses. The entire joint could use a good deep clean; cob webs in the corners and stains on the walls make the dining experience less savory (though the food is top notch!). The Ritchie Hwy location is only about 15 minutes from here; head there instead for stellar service and cleaner tables. read more

I'm not sure how you can get better Thai on the coast of Maine than in Annapolis, but it's possible. We ordered take out after hearing a few people say how much they like Lemongrass. We tried it tonight and will never go back! We spent over $50 on three apps and two entrees; nothing was good!!! The spring rolls were all lettuce/basil, the egg rolls were chewy and tasteless, the dumplings tasted and SMELLED like scrapple, the pad Thai had a terrible aftertaste and the curry/peanut sauce fried tofu was super salty. We could not even eat the dumplings after the first bite. We didn't have high hopes for a phenomenal meal, but this was yet another giant disappointment for Annapolis cuisine. Yuck! read more

In my experience here, the food is less tasty than its cousin, Lemongrass in downtown. When I came here, the pad thai tasted a bit strange. There was sort of a bad water smell, sulfuric smell. I am dubious of the Lemongrass Annapolis brand regarding the usage of fresh ingredients. This was a small location in a strip mall. It used to be convenient, but a quick hop to Safeway in the same complex gave you better food for cheaper. read more

Very slow service. Extremely unhappy experience. I stopped for lunch alone and offered to take a spot at the bar. I was ignored for over 15 minutes.
