I had such a delightful experience here! I love how it's a family-style run business so the service is amazing, and the owners are so sweet & welcoming. There was such a great variety of very compelling vegetarian dishes. I had the "thai style mixed vegetable," which was basically stir fried vegetables & tofu. The tofu and vegetables were cooked beautifully & seasoned to perfection which I appreciated very much. Also, if you love eating mangoes, PLEASE try their mango with sticky rice dessert. It's basically cut up mangoes with a delicious side of sticky rice topped with coconut milk. It's seriously one of the best desserts I've had because of its simplicity & subtle flavors. Ate here a few days ago. I got the thai iced tea, which was not good. It was bland and not sweet at all. Every other time I have had this it is sweet and so good, but not here. I got the tom yam goong. It perfectly spicy. It had way to much cilantro though. The shrimp in it did not taste fresh. Then had pad thai. The noodles were a lot thinner then any I had and the sauce that coated it wasnt as good as I have had every other time other places. The server was very nice though and there was no wait. My bf took me here. He said it was good and I was in the mood for Thai. I got a curry. I forgot that name of it. But it had potatoes, onions, and beef. It was good. You can taste the coconut milk. I thought it was delicious. It's probably not authentic but I liked it. My bf had a lemongrass pork chop I think. It looks good. This place is cheap, clean and friendly. Such a yummy find! Looks can be deceiving with this place because its in a small parking lot in a semi-shady area, and the place itself is really nothing special to look at. My boyfriend and I have often been confused as to why we were the only ones at a table inside of the restaurant (on an occassion when we weren't getting takeout from Lemonleaf). I've eaten a lot of thai food in the city and I would say that this place is DEFINITELY better. I'm basically obsessed with the Coconut Pineapple Fried rice. Unfortunately, tonight I got it to go so it didn't come in the pineapple, but it was still as delicious as it would have been (it just looked a little less cute). The Mee Ga Ti is also amazing! I definitely would recommend the spice lovers order it with more heat, because you won't be disappointed. I've also eaten the Pad Thai, Ghoong Saron, Kuawteo Pad Gai, Pad Woonsen, and the Pad Mad Kuer Yao (the best eggplant ever!), and it's all delicious! Definitely visit this hidden gem! I work in the area and have had the opportunity to order take out from Lemonleaf. I have never been disappointed. Portion sizes are not overly generous, but satisfying and worth the money. I agree that the dishes are very conservative regarding how spicy they are prepared. If the level of spiciness is inadequate, just ask for the heat to be increased. They work on a scale of 1-4 or 5 in terms of heat. The higher the number, the hotter. Overall........no complaints and I will continue to frequent this establishment. read more

I consider myself pretty open to trying new things and finally after trying Thai for the first time, absolutely fell in love with the chicken Pad Thai from Lemonleaf Grill. It's absolutely amazing and the portions are on the large side. It tastes clean and it is aesthetically appealing too. I don't get that grossly sick feeling of being overstuffed or like I just ate a bunch of greasy overpriced take out like I always have when ordering Chinese and it absolutely satisfied my craving for an Asian dish without the upset stomach and tastes just as good reheated! Extremely flavorful pad Thai and my families new go to, I highly recommend Lemonleaf Grill. We've ordered from them a bunch of times now (totally worth driving a little out of the way for!) and they are always consistent, the food is always hot, fresh and delicious. Not to mention the price isn't bad either, and for the good portion size, well worth it. You can't go wrong with the Pad Thai or the steamed dumplings! The only thing is that their appetizers (such as the 6 count dumplings and the side of rice that comes with certain meals) are definitely on the smaller side. It is probably enough for just one person to be honest. But like I said before, the entrees themselves are definitely a large portion, enough for at least two to three people. Also, great contactless pick up which is nice to see establishments like this taking the necessary precautions for the safety and well-being of not only themselves but the customers. The location itself is along a row of stores in a lot of a shopping center off of Route 112 in Port Jeff Station ( about a half a mile give or take, on the left, before the train tracks but after the 7/11 and adjacent gas station light) and set back near the corner of the front of the small shopping complex (which includes a Dunkin Donuts for reference from the roadway). It's not hard to spot and is identified by a big sign as well so you can't miss it. The storefront itself appeared to be nice, clean and well kept from what I observed from the entranceway. Plenty of parking and right off of 112 so definitely convenient to get to! They didn't keep me waiting long, they said 15 minutes when I ordered and conveniently paid over the phone for my 4 items which consisted of 2 Chicken Pad Thai (1 spicy, 1 regular), 1 order of Pad See Ew and 1 order of the vegetable dumplings (6 in an order but it was fairly small)... the Pad See Ew actually came with a small side of white rice as well which was nice. For the entree portion sizes, the price seemed fair and they didn't keep me waiting more than 5 minutes once I arrived. Food was hot, fresh and packed nice and full in rectangular plastic containers neatly organized in a brown paper bag with a menu, receipt and utensils. I had asked for extra utensils but was told they were already in there and the man hurried me along I asked if he was sure that there was at least 4 forks and he said they were in there but of course there was only two, no big deal but just sayin'! Although they weren't rude they definitely were in a rush to get me in and out of the contactless doorway set up for convenient exchange of money for your order. It was approaching the end of the night so I'm sure that they were looking to wrap up their day and finish up whatever they needed to so I definitely don't take offense to the minor things like lack of utensils and being moved along quickly. It's all good and I definitely will be back for their lunch specials. Overall, AWESOME Thai food, great entree portions (but not so great appetizer portions- each seems to be a single serving). Stopped by this place for lunch and I don't know if it was the cold weather or what but the tom kha gai soup was one of the best dishes I've had in a longtime. After the first sip I knew I was going to be coming back to this place. Perfectly seasoned, with a spice blend that was complex, yet each component complimenting the other perfectly. I loved it and cannot wait to get my hands on more! The beef satay was worth mention as well, I thought the Massaman curry was good but not great, but heck I'd travel half way across the island for that tom khai gai alone! Picked up take-out here just after we moved, hoping we had found our new favorite Thai place. The food was not bad, just not what we were expecting/hoped for. The Tam Taeng Salad (cucumber, carrots, crushed peanuts with rice wine vinegar) was good, too much vinegar made the cucumbers a little soggy, but good contrast of flavors. The size of the salad wasn't really worth the $5ish. Pad Thai was pretty good, but the Gai Pad Bai Graprow (Spicy Basil Chicken), usually my favorite dish to order was not spicy at all. Also, it lacked a lot of flavor and the chicken was a bit greasy. May give Lemonleaf a second chance someday, but I've recently found better Thai in the area. read more

I worked at a fantastic thai restaurant in Virginia when I was in college and I have yet to find anything comparable, so I am a tough judge when it comes to thai. This place is pretty good though. The spring rolls are delicious, but the garden rolls were sub-par. Everything else has been good. Pad sea ew (yea that's not the right spelling) and drunken noodle are both good.
