The associate was knowledgeable and assisted me to my car, as well. The store was well organized and the staff were friendly. Several local dog owners have suggested Lemos to me before and I regret not going sooner. My dog needs a special diet type of food that can be a little expensive at the big pet stores. After seeing the Lemos folks at the local Christmas parade, I thought I would give them a try and I was pleasantly surprised that not only did they have the food but they had it in a 25 pound bag which saved me a lot of money. While I was in the store, I looked around and had the opportunity to talk to a few of the sales staff. They are so helpful, knowledgeable, and fun to talk with that I now found the perfect new place to get all my pet food supplies. Very nice employees right when I walked in I was greeted right away by all staff members that made eye contact. The woman who helped me I believe her name was Esmi. She went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for. I needed a coat for my large dog which I didn't see a size that would fit him she offered to order it for me. The only place I go to get anything for my pets. I take my dog here to grab some treats and toys. The staff is always very warm and kind to all animals that enter as well as their owners. One of the girls I talked to was super knowledgable about dental hygiene for dogs and educated me on a lot of things I didn't know about. They also gave my pup some organic treats he enjoyed. Super disappointed with both this location and the SLO location. They really don't understand how important our pets are nor do they care. When someone chooses to shop small business (even though it's more expensive than ordering on line and takes longer) at least act like you care when you mess up or can't get a product for 2 weeks! I have exotic cats and can not and will not give them just anything. Have the courtesy to call a customer or even apologize when you've ordered the wrong item..... two separate locations, 2 separate incidents and not as much as an apology! This is why small business' suffer! I was willing to order, wait and pay more to support my community. Very disappointing! read more

We are off to OR to get our new Golden retriever puppy next week and needed a dog crate. Bought one on line from Petco but aftrr 10 days of trouble cancelled the order. Went to local Petco and had minimum selection. Decided to try Lemos in Arroyo Grande and found wide selection of quality crates and a very friendly and helpful sraff. They put the crate together for us and then although they dont carry the puppy food that our breeder recommended said they could special order it for us on a regular basis at no extra cost. Great selection of pet supplies. We have found our pet store! read more

He's always quick to help me find the items I need even when I can't remember the name and he's always ready to help carry the food to my car. 2. I have been coming to Lemos in Arroyo Grande since 2007 and have always received a welcome, an offer to help, and smiles from all the staff. Scott is a fountain of knowledge about all the products and offers to carry my bags out to my car. When I come in to buy snacks for my mom's 'special needs' dog he gives me several options of products, highlighting the differences and wholesome ingredients, saving me from spending the day reading the product packaging myself. The staff at Lemo's is attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. As soon as you walk in the door, a staffmember greets you and asks if they can help. If you know what you want, they will escort you to it, chat with you, and help you lift and/or carry it to the counter. If your preferred pet food should happen to be temporarily unavailable, they will have already researched the product which is most similar to it, to avoid upsets to your pet's diet. If you are experiencing a flea invasion, they will advise you--based on your preferences for either natural or nuclear. They have a complete stock of quality foods and pet accessories. There is never a line at Lemo's, because they are providing several people with good jobs! Your pet is welcome to come in with you. Plenty of staff and you rarely have to wait for help. Lemo's is providing good jobs to the community; help keep money in the community and also take quality care of your pets. read more
