Best money ever spent! We gave him the "chill pill" toy with one of the Elk treats in pieces inside it. He's been playing for hours. First time we've seen him this relaxed and calm about anything going on around him. I wish I had gotten the young lady's name to thank her for such a great suggestion. I've seen staff who are self-proclaimed "trainers" stress dogs out while completely ignoring that the yard they are working in is filled with feces. I've watched staff pretend they are the "manager" while trying to take credit for other people's work at every turn. This is an organization in a downward spiral. It isn't fair because it's the animals who suffer. Those who have stuck around are there despite the organization, not because of it. It's been heartbreaking to watch.

I am also a foster in their system which allows the option of "fostering to adopt" a pet so you can see how they adapt to your other pets etc. Of course you can also just be a foster as well. Another great thing they have is that you can take a shelter dog out for a day to get them. You can do so anytime without calling ahead. The downer is that dogs only get walked for a few minutes so they can use bathroom so I feel for the animals that spend a long time there. I'm sure it feels like jail. If you can adopt, check this out. Other places like Woods and humane may have more "customer service" bc they are better funded but the animals who will benefit the most are probably right here.

This last time was the final straw: I got to chatting to some other dog owners and a cat owner in the waiting room and my dog's appointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM and we got there at 10:25 AM. I had to circle the parking lot and go back onto the main road numerous times before my appointment because there was no parking available. I still managed to get there five minutes early for my dogs very simple suture removal appointment. I ended up not leaving until 11:15 AM. While talking with the other pet owners, one lady mentioned that she was early for her appointment and that her dog wasn't supposed to be seen until 11:15 AM, to which the Kat owner said he was also early. Both her dog and the cat got seen before my dog's simple suture removal appointment which was scheduled 45 minutes before their pets!? That is absolutely unacceptable. Will be transferring all records to a more well, run and efficient practice.

This afternoon (6 April 2025), I took two of my dogs to the VIP pet care location at Lemos in Atascadero. I arrived at 3 p.m. to get in line (as I realized that it was important to arrive early--based on past experience). The VIP pet care van arrived late, was late setting up, and announced a "new" procedure for checking in. Everybody had to scan a QRC code. Was this information made available for past clients, such as myself, somewhere? Long story short: I arrived at 3 p.m. with dogs and was only seen by a veterinarian after 5 p.m. Almost everybody in the line was furious at the completely disorganized way the vet clinic this afternoon was conducted. To add insult to injury: one of my dogs was given a bordatella (nasal) vaccine that was not on the "confirmed" list of what was needed. What the HELL is going on with VIP pet care? I--like many of the 30+ people who waited in line with me this afternoon--will likely be taking our business elsewhere.

I didn't drop it i didn't misplace it. your employee must have typed the wrong numbers into the little iPad thing that they use and might i say that she did give me 2 $5.00 and the rest were $1.00 bills i gave her a $100.00 bill so yes it would have been very easy for her to get confused and type in the wrong thing or maybe even it got misplaced on there side. I still have the exact amount of money in the exact spot hasn't been tampered with . i didn't move the money at all i counted it and it was wrong! I think if you actually look into my transaction you will see that she did not say i gave her $100.00 when i did and i indeed was shorted 10.00. And the manager of lemos thought this whole ordeal was so messed up that she gave me $10.00 of her own money to make up my deficit it was clear as day that i got shorted the 10.00 went somewhere maybe someone on your side misplaced it because she said she gave me 2 $5.00 $47.00 in $1.00 bills when i counted it there was only2 $5.00 and $37.00 in $1.00 bills you do the math maybe she misplaced it before she gave it to me? If i ever get my money back i will use it to pay back the manager at lemos.
