I think Lene's is stepping up their game, just ordered on Uber Eats an Italian Beef Sandwich, green beans, sautéed spinach and shrimp and grits. I have to say, every single item was off the hook delicious. The beef sandwich was juicy, full of peppers and gardineira and seasoned to perfection. The green beans, albeit a small side for $1.50 had huge tasty chunks of porky goodness on top and the spinach omg off the hook. I should've checked out the Yelp reviews before ordering food from this restaurant ;( Fish and shrimp were burnt. And the "jumbo" shrimp were tiny. I am seldom this dissatisfied with a take out order. To add insult to injury, my request for condiments was ignored. I hate to waste food, so I really tried to eat it. The broccoli and fries were edible, but I ultimately ordered food from another restaurant. This is one of those times where I wish I could give no stars at all. And that's rare for me. I support local businesses and I do it often. However, I will NEVER order from this establishment again. It took THREE HOURS for my food to be delivered to me. I was not impressed when it arrived. The driver had no change for me b/c of his other deliveries... The food was cold and not that good. Found them to have very poor business practices. This establishment came as a pop-up cafe in the building where I work. I paid by debit card and requested a receipt to be texted to me. I never receive my copy of receipt of purchase and went back to them while they were still in the building to convey this and was told they could not 'resend' it. So knowing by consumer law I am entitled to a receipt of proof of purchase if I request it, no customer service on their part to assist me. I try patronizing 'certain' business but now have reservations going forward. read more

So I went in today with a coworker. Before we ordered, we asked the lady how long it would be. Her response was it depends on what you order. (Now, there was a couple sitting at a table waiting and someone had just ordered right before us.) We told her wings and she said 10 minutes.. I knew that was a stretch because Wingstop tells you at least 14 minutes. But who am I to judge? This was at 1:57 PM. We did not get our food until 2:30 PM. It doesn't take 30 minutes to fry wings!! But this time, 10 minutes has come and gone 3 times. I told the owner I needed to go because I was on my lunch break. She pointed to a sign that all sales are final. Well get your chicken frying butt back in the kitchen and finish our food. She then tells us she's BUSY.. Ma'am, where is your rush of customers?! (Refer to my first paragraph when I mentioned who was in the restaurant when we walked in.) The food.. YALL THIS WAS DISGUSTING! I ordered lemon pepper wings, fried gizzards and a side of fries. She had to go ask for the guy in the back to put lemon pepper sprinkles on my food. Yall joking right? Nope. My co-worker ordered the same thing but mild flavored wings. More sauce in the plate than on the wing. She told us the fries were fried hard. They were not. It was like mashed potatoes without a bit of salt or anything. I was at home n didn't want to get up so I ordered on eat24yelp n when I saw the reviews I was a little skeptical however I tried the tilapia with the macaroni and cheese and yam and hands down it was some of the best Mac and Cheese and yams I have had since being back in Atlanta the tilapia was good too but tht mac n cheese n yams mmmm mmmm good...as you can see because I'm back again for more lol this time I got in my car n drove here...yes tht serious! I'm pretty satisfied with my order from Lene's. It consisted of a turkey wing plate with white rice, their "mean" green beans, and a half-ear of corn. I also added some fried jalapenos and chicken gizzards. If you haven't figured it out yet, we're talking about a soul food joint. I thought the wing was very tasty, as were the green beans (which are "mean" by virtue of having meat in them). The other reviews complain about the long wait for delivery. I went through GrubHub, so I knew my order was going to involve a wait in excess of ninety minutes, so I didn't hold it against them when they took almost two hours. The food was still warm. The main positive here is that the prices for individual items are pretty low by today's standards. I got a lot of food for under $15. That's somewhat offset by a $3.50 delivery fee, but the minimum order for delivery is just $10, which makes it reasonable for one person to order dinner. read more

Aside from the disappointing call from the restaurant saying that they were out of half of the items we ordered, the food quality was absolutely sub-par. The wings were the length size of my tiny finger, unbelievably overcooked, and more flavored in week old grease than lemon pepper. In what I can only presume to be a form of artistic expression, they contrasted my overcooked wings with a small batch of undercooked French fries. Again, they were "light" on the seasoning, but wasn't lacking in the frozen potato flavor profile. My stomach hurts after eating this. I should have looked at the yelp and google reviews before placing my order. My girlfriend and I placed an order through grubhub for a smoked chicken meal and 10 lemon pepper wings. I didn't mind the hour plus wait time, or that they called me 20 minutes after I ordered telling me that they didn't have anymore dark meat (I exchanged for a turkey wing). But when the food arrived I was shocked. To begin, my side of mac and cheese is OLD. As in SPOILED. The turkey wing wasn't so bad, but my girlfriend's wings were tiny, soggy, and had clearly been microwaved. so, my first issue was the driver did not know where she was going. it took almost 2 hours to deliver my food & it was lukewarm when it arrived.. I ordered 3 sides with my black bean burger. the small a** thing of fries (there's literally like 15) a side of cabbage (which is the only thing I can say good about this place) & a corn on the cob which can't possibly be messed up so.. Just finished eating my ubereats order from this restaurant. I had the fried seafood platter with Yams & Mac n'cheese, glad they joined the ubereats family, got my food in about 40 mins and it was piping hot, coming from memorial drive to Snapfinger road! enjoyed it very much and will definitely be ordering again! The service over the phone was exceptional, and everybody was incredibly nice. However, it just felt like they were struggling with execution a bit. The driver had trouble finding my place, even though typically it isn't an issue for delivery here, and so some of the food was soggy when she finally found me. Again, the service was otherwise exceptional; she re-bagged everything for me without me asking once she got here, and made sure it wasn't messy for me. I really appreciated their great attitudes. Besides trouble finding my place the delivery time was entirely typical for Atlanta, no more no less. The food itself wasn't bad it was just.... OK. I wouldn't complain if somebody asked me to go eat there with them, but I don't think I'd order it again on my own. Worth a shot to see if there's something on the menu you love, though. As for the delivery time issue mentioned in other reviews.. I called them after placing my order and apparently they hadn't been receiving all EAT24 orders recently. They got mine without issue. That's why sometimes you can't help your own kind out(black businesses) So this place won't take any debit card unless your name is on the card.
