My wife and son and I got haircuts here for the first time. We all got our hair cut by Lenny, the owner. Mine was ok but he didn't show me how the back looked and put gel in it without asking. My 12-year old son didn't like his cut and asked him to fix it and it turned out to be even worse. My wife's haircut was so fast, probably 5 minutes, with tons of uncut hair chunks. He didn't even wet her hair prior to cutting. Lenny is a very nice man but I don't think he should personally be cutting hair anymore. His hands shake while he cuts. Good vibe here but I highly recommend trying out one of their other stylists. read more

The Barber's are always aware of what my son wants even when he has a little trouble explaining what it is he wants. He is 15 and had longer hair and they made him happy. Very professional! I went for a hair donation after a recommendation. He used thinning shears to remove the hair in clumps, and left it on a tray in a jumbled mess. I offered a ponytail to tie it off, another barber mentioned to use scissors, my friend tried to capture it in clumps together before he let it fall to the floor. I told him when I arrived he could do whatever cut he wanted, I don't care, I just want to donate my hair. And now I can't. It can't be donated because no company wants to accept donor hair for wigs in a jumbled mess. They want a ponytail, or better yet five ponytails - one for each head section. I was nervous, and didn't advocate for myself. And I regret it. 3 years of growth down the toilet. He didn't use a hair cape, so I had tiny bits of hair all over my body and clothes. I don't care about that, even though it's gross and annoying. He didn't thin out my hair he'd remarked was thick, so now, post shower, it's a poofy triangle. Also don't care, it's just hair, it'll grow out. But my donor hair.... I care about that... Was he nice? Yeah. Was he funny? Yeah. Was he entertaining? Yeah. Less than zero stars.......HUGE HEALTH AND SAFETY VIOLATION. Lenny recently cut my daughter's hair........I noticed something red on her nose.....I asked Lenny what it was.....he said he'd been staining a redwood fence at his home that morning and claimed it was redwood stain. I could see he had a fresh cut on his finger that was bleeding. He repeatedly denied that he was bleeding. Lenny did not have a first aid kit or anything to remove the blood from my daughter's nose nor did he have anything to properly sanitize her nose. Eventually we determined another stylist in the salon had a band aid which I put on Lenny's finger. I asked Lenny if he would be willing to wash his hands, which he did, however, when he returned to the stylist chair, he had removed the bandage. Our concerns are several......the lack of concern for proper sanitary practices, the lack of concern over him nicking himself and transferring his blood to another person. The continued lack of honesty and refusal to take ownership for what had taken place. Had he responded in an appropriate, honest, and professional manner, this review would have been different. If you value a sanitary establishment and a stylist who is honest, this is not the place to patronize. read more

My barber missed 3 appointments without telling me. The first two times I had to contact him after waiting 20 minutes and then waited for him to show, which he finally did. The third time there was no show and he didn't bother to call. I can't recommend him and I will find another barber shop for my business. read more

Had never been before, but I got the best haircut of my life here the other day. I was shocked. I have terrible curls. They were lifeless, frizzy, and just always look bad. I have had so many "curl expert" cuts that just made me unhappy. I told Lenny I wanted a trim, but if he thought something different would look better, go for it. I always do this. I have had long, short and everything in between. But I haven't ever had a cut I thought was great. I was a bit nervous because he cut off a lot more than I was thinking. But dang, my curls are amazing now. There's a whole curl party going on on my head now. Not frizzy. Not limp. Just looks amazing. And easy to maintain. I mist a little water and they pop right back. Larry has a clear gift for working with kids! My 22 month old son is frightened of new people easily, but with Larry he experienced a fantastic (first ever) haircut! Larry is confident, gentle, and works very quickly. My son seemed to relax immediately, and the entire haircut went without a hitch - and it looks great too! The lines around his sideburns, ears, and nape of neck are straight and tidy. The salon is clean in a nice shopping center with plenty of parking. Called in a last minute appointment and they were able to accommodate my son on a haircut. He got the shampoo to go along with his cut which was a little over the top for a teenager but he seems happy with the cut and his mom hasn't complained (yet). Out the door for a wash & a cut, with tip for $35 was a bit more than I had hoped to pay but it was also the location convenience we were paying for. The place we usually go is across town but when you factor in gas and time, its a reasonable price for convenience. Service with a smile and a nice, friendly attitude was a nice improvement over other places we've been! Worthy of a return trip :) read more

Staff here is very friendly. The place is always clean. I bring my toddler here because he loves that the Avengers are painted on the wall. If you are looking to have anything done to your hair you NEED to see Christine!!! I've been driving from South San Francisco to see Christine for over 4 years now. Let me tell you, it is so worth the long drive, she is amazing! Still shocked by the unprofessional conduct I endured today. I booked an appointment several hours in advance. They're not my usual guys, normally I get an expensive cut in San Francisco but I didn't have time for that so why not support local business? I showed up 15 minutes early, and 3 minutes after my appointment time was finally told that there'll be a delay because the client wanted more color in her hair or some dumb shit like that. How long of a delay you ask? 1.5 hours. So milking your hair-color client for more money was more important than keeping your commitment to me and retaining me as a client. I don't recall the last time I was insulted like this by a professional. And THIS is the reason I am going back to happily paying $65 for a haircut. read more

It serves just about anyone looking for a clean short haircut, or any kind of work done with your hair, you're covered. I was referred to one of my homies at work, Oscar for I was continuing to look for someone who is personable and professional. I definitely dig how clean their store was, everything neatly organized and maintained. The people who work there were very generous and conversational. Compared to other shops I've been to, I definitely felt that this experience has topped them all for reasons of creating positivity and focusing on friendliness. Oscar's craft on my hair definitely sparked my interest to return when I need to. He knew exactly what I needed and recommended the best product that would work with my hair type and how I'd prefer to style it.
